"This battle seems to be coming to a close! Our Elite Four member, Ven, is taking this challenger in one heck of a showdown!" A battle was taking place in a stadium and one of the challengers was dressed like a rock star. He wore a leather jacket that splits apart in the center bottom. He also had leather pants with spikes coming out of the toes of his boots. He showed tribal tattoos on his bare chest. His face was painted snow white with black circles around his eyes and he had brown hair as mohawk with edges. He also carried an electric guitar in his hands.
"Time to turn it up!" Ven shouted as he played his guitar. "Excadrill, you ready to rock?!"
"Excadrill!" His Excadrill acted just like a rocker, just like his trainer. Of course, his opponent was using a Blastoise and is at a disadvantage.
"Blastoise, Hydro Cannon!" His opponent ordered.
"Blastoise!" Blastoise took aim with its cannons and fired a blast of water.
"Now use Metal Claw!" Ven shouted. Excadrill slashed right through the attack and it completely dispersed. It was amazing a ground-type could do that against a water-type attack, and one so powerful. This whole battle was happening from Davis watching it on a screen at a Pokemon Center.
"Hey, Davis. Ready to go?" Cletus asked as he and the others came over.
"In a minute." Davis said as he was watching the battle.
"What are you watching?" Tetsu said.
"A battle where one of the Elite Four is in." Davis said.
"Oh! You must be talking about the ground-type rock star named Ven." Cletus said as he saw what he was talking about. "The Elite Four are incredible."
"Yeah, and I'm going to battle them one day." Davis said as he can just see it happening...sooner than even he thinks.

(Davis' voice) Rock N Roll N Elite
Davis and his friends are continuing on with their journey. Heading for Nevad City for his third gym battle, Davis is feeling excited after seeing the battle he just witnessed.
"That was awesome! I love seeing the Elite Four in action." Davis said. "No wonder they're the best of the best. I would like to hear more of what the Elite Four are like."
"What's there to really know? They're the cream of the crop." Tetsu said.
"There's more to it than that, Tetsu." Cletus said. "Each of the Elite Four have their own unique style. In fact, I've heard that they specialize in a special power or phenomenon that pokemon are capable of performing."
"Phenomenon that pokemon are capable of performing? What does that mean?" Davis questioned.
"Hold on for a second." Imperialdramon said as he stopped them all from going anywhere. "Do you all hear that?" They all listened carefully for what Imperialdramon heard. Soon, they heard screaming and the sounds of a guitar. "Is that a guitar?"
"Sounds like an electric one." Davis said.
"It's coming from over there." Tetsu said as he pointed the way. All of them went to have a look as to what what was going on. They followed the sounds with it getting louder and louder.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!" All of them looked through the trees and couldn't believe what they saw. Standing in the woods was the actual Elite Four member named Ven as he was playing his electric guitar.
"I don't believe it! That's Ven! I just saw him battle on T.V.!" Davis said as none of them could believe they're meeting one of the Elite Four just like that. It was incredible. Ven kept on playing his guitar and acted like he was giving a concert until he spotted them.
"Hey. I thought I was just rehearsing, not giving out an actual concert." Ven said.
"I can't believe it!" Davis called as he rushed right out to him. "You're Ven of the Elite Four! I can't believe you're standing right before us! My name is Davis!"
"Davis, settle down!" Tetsu called. "You said so yourself that's one of the Elite Four. Control yourself and show a little respect."
"It's cool. I like it when people want to turn it up to eleven." Ven said as he was already taking a liking to Davis.
"It's an honor to meet you." Cletus said as they all came out. "My name is Cletus."
"I'm Tetsu."
"And I'm Imperialdramon. I'm Davis' partner."
"How's it all going?" Ven said. "Just so I'm clear, do you want an autograph? Did you track me down or something?"
"No. Nothing like that." Davis assured. "We were just passing by when he heard all that music and noise you were making."
"I don't mean to be rude, but do you always scream and wail like that whenever you're alone?" Tetsu questioned.
"You better believe it. If you want to be good at something, you've got to keep going at it." Ven said as he had a seat on a tree stump with the others sitting down with him. "I came out here to do a little rehearsing. I'm always travelling around because I don't like performing on the same stage constantly. A rock star like myself needs to keep finding a grand stage to perform, a stage where you give your best performance."
"Wow. You're one of the Elite Four and a rock star." Davis said as he and Imperialdramon were impressed.
"Uh... Do you even know any of his songs?" Tetsu whispered to Cletus.
"Not one." Cletus admitted.
"Ven, I'm travelling around to challenge the gyms and enter the Centros League." Davis claimed. "I love hearing about the Elite Four and the Champion, but I want to ask you something. Did you take on the Centros League yourself and won? Is that how you became one of the Elite Four?"
"Well, that is how it worked for me." Ven admitted. "I still remember hearing the roar of the crowd when my pokemon and I gave a grand performance and won the Centros League. After that, we just kept winning battle after battle. Before I knew it, I was offered a sweet deal that led me to becoming one of the Elite Four. In fact, the only person I would have to say is stronger than me is Chase himself."
"Chase?" Imperialdramon questioned.
"Who is Chase?" Davis questioned.
"You really don't know?" Cletus asked.
"Chase is the current champion of the Centros League. He's the best of the best." Tetsu said.
"Let me show you." Ven said as he pulled out a magazine and showed an image of Chase. He wore a black jacket that went down to his knees with him wearing a blue shirt and black pants. He also had black messy hair with a few blue streaks. Standing with him in the photo was a Hydreigon. "This is Chase, the current Champion, and his partner: Hydreigon."
"Cool." Davis said as he was laying eyes on Champion Chase for the first time.
"Ven, Davis likes to learn more about the Elite Four. Cletus mentioned something about how each of you can use a phenomenon that pokemon can do." Imperialdramon said. "Can you tell us more about that?"
"I think I know what you're talking about." Ven said. "Well, I actually don't use any fancy trick or anything. It's all natural with me because I alone can pull off a great show. The other three are the ones that utilize those great abilities of pokemon. That would be Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, and Dynamax."
"They use what?" Imperialdramon said.
"I've heard of Mega Evolution, but I've never heard of the other two." Davis said.
"I think I have heard of them, but never actually saw them." Cletus said as he thought it over. "From what I heard, all three require a strong bond and kinship between trainer and pokemon."
"What are the other Elite Four like?" Davis questioned.
"Well, we're like any other Elite Four from any region." Ven said. "We each specialize in a specific type, but we're unique and different. First, there's yours truly. My specialty is with ground-types. I'm a great rock star, but I don't use any of those fancy or flashy tricks the others use. Next, we have Kaya. She's a great surfer and her specialty is with flying-types. She's capable of using Z-Moves. Then, there's the battling scientist: Ginger. Her specialty is with poison-types. She's a great scientist that studies Dynamax, seeing if it can be done outside the Galar region. Finally, there's the Forest Sage: Marvin. He tries to be in-tune with nature. He uses grass-types and can use Mega Evolution."
"Wow. All of them sound incredible." Cletus said.
"But how come you don't use any of that other stuff, Ven? How come you're "all natural", as you put it?" Tetsu asked.
"Sometimes in the music business, people don't rely on talent." Ven explained. "They use computer effects to change their voices and instruments. They care more about being famous and are willing to do whatever it takes to get to the top, even become frauds. I'm not like that. I use what I'm naturally given. In battle, it should be the same way. You've got to use the gifts you were given if you want to be the best at what you do and overcome obstacles."
"I saw one of your battles. You used Excadrill to deflect Hydro Cannon. Is that what you mean?" Davis questioned.
"That's right." Ven said. "You know it feels real when you act real." That is quite an insightful way to look at things. You can't use cheats to get the way you want. Even if those special moves and powers pokemon use are legal, Ven prefers using his more natural abilities to get his way.
"Ven, you've got to battle me!" Davis said out of the blue.
"Davis, you can't be so direct." Cletus said.
"He's one of the Elite Four. He's not just going to battle you." Tetsu said.
"Maybe, but I look forward to the challenge. I want to be the best trainer I can be, and that means I have to take on the best." Davis said. "Please, Ven! Battle me!" Ven looked into Davis' eyes and he could see his fighting spirit.
"Sure. I like your spunk, Davis." Ven said. Accepting the challenge, the both of them stood ready for a battle. Davis was clearly using Imperialdramon for this battle.
"Let's do this, pal!" Davis said.
"I'm ready." Imperialdramon claimed.
"And here's my partner! Turn it up to eleven, Excadrill!" Ven called as he let loose his partner.
"Excadrill!"
"That's his Excadrill..." Davis said as he took out his pokedex.
"Excadrill, the Subterrene Pokemon. A ground and steel type, and the evolve form of Drilbur. Excadrill is known as the Drill King for some tunnels that appear naturally made were made by this pokemon."
"Time to see how we measure up to an Elite Four." Davis said.
"You're cocky, but you need more than that to beat the likes of me. Excadrill, Metal Claw! Play it loud!" Ven called. Excadrill's claws turned to metal and slashed at Imperialdramon. Imperialdramon was able to block the attack, but some damage was still dealt.
"Imperialdramon, Brick Break!" Davis ordered. Imperialdramon smashed his arm against Excadrill and smashed him against the ground and he did some damage.
"Excadrill is a steel-type. That should have done a lot of damage." Cletus said.
"But it might take more than that. Ven said he's been working to deal with obstacles like this." Tetsu said as they know this won't be easy for Davis.
"Now let's use Dragon Pulse!" Davis said. Imperialdramon got his attack ready and unleashed it.
"Use Drill Run!" Ven ordered. Excadrill started spinning like a drill and charged right through that Dragon Pulse. Excadrill smashed right into Imperialdramon and did some damage. "Now use Horn Drill!" Excadrill's horn gathered power with it rotating independently.
"Quick, dodge it!" Davis ordered. Imperialdramon flew up in the air and just barely avoided the attack.
"Davis, be careful! Horn Drill can take the opponent out in one shot!" Cletus warned.
"I'll end this so he doesn't get the chance to use that again! Now use Focus Punch!" Davis ordered. Imperialdramon gathered power in his fist and dropped straight at Excadrill.
"Turn it up even more with Rock Blast!" Ven ordered. Excadrill formed actual rocks and threw them at Imperialdramon, but he was able to react fast enough and avoided all of them to get around Excadrill. "We really turn it up, don't we!"
"Excadrill!" Excadrill and Ven headbang as they continued to act like rockers.
"They're great battlers, but do they really need to act like this?" Tetsu said as he wasn't impressed.
"We can turn it up ourselves! Dragon Rush!" Davis ordered. Imperialdramon unleashed some energy around himself and flew straight at Excadrill. Excadrill braced itself as Imperialdramon crashed right into it. They all thought that did it, but Excadrill was able to hold back the attack. "No way!"
"It stopped Dragon Rush?!" Imperialdramon said as that was Imperialdramon's best move.
"Now for the finale! Horn Drill!" Ven shouted. Excadrill smashed its horn against Imperialdramon and grinded against him. A lot of damage and power was being dealt on Imperiladramon. He couldn't handle it and was sent flying back.
"Imperialdramon!" Davis shouted. Imperialdramon slid against the ground until he stopped and wasn't moving. Horn Drill's power dominated him. "Imperialdramon!" He and the others hurried to him and made sure he was okay.
"That hurt..." Imperialdramon groaned. "No wonder that move can take you out in one hit. I feel like something burrowed through my body."
"You got spunk and spirit, Davis. I like it." Ven said as he brought Excadrill back to its pokeball. "You got real talent for battle. Keep up the good work and you'll be going places."
"Wow. Thanks." Davis said as that's quite the compliment coming from one of the Elite Four.
"Well, I think that was my final song. So long." Ven said as he was hitting the road. Davis surely won't forget what happened here.
"You okay? It's not easy to beat one of the Elite Four." Cletus said.
"Yeah." Davis said as he and Imperialdramon got back up. "It's times like this that make me want to battle even more. I might have lost this time, but we'll keep getting stronger."
"You can say that again." Imperialdramon said as they're looking forward to the next challenges to come.
After meeting one of the Elite Four, Davis and his friends learn an important lesson about using your own abilities to face obstacles. This was only one of many powerful trainers. There's more excitement to come...as the journey continues.
