Our heroes are continuing on their journey with them arriving at a bright city. If only it was a better and sunnier day.

"This feels really weird." Davis said as they roamed around the streets. "It's so cloudy and dark, but this place seems so bright." It was a weird feeling. The city seemed so bright and light while the weather looked so gloomy with so many dark clouds. It was like no sunlight could get through.

"Where are we again?" Tetsu questioned.

"The map says we're in a place called Charger." Cletus said. "That makes sense since this place uses up a lot of electricity. They've got one powerful generator."

"Is it really safe that this place uses so much electricity?" Tetsu said.

"Not sure. There haven't been any problems so far." Cletus said.

"Let's just get to the Pokemon Center. I don't like the looks of those clouds." Imperialdramon said as they all decided to take cover from it from the weather, but the weather isn't a problem. It's the power itself that will be the problem.

It's a big big world, but you know where to find me

We'll be together and we're gonna do it our way

We'll discover we believe in each other

On adventures with my friends like every day

And we're already on our way

The journey starts today

(Davis' voice) Shocking Infestation

Davis and the others arrived at the Pokemon Center. They thought it was better to hang around there until the weather looked a little friendlier.

"Hi, and welcome to the Pokemon Center." Nurse Joy greeted. "Are you all okay?"

"Yeah. We just wanted to take cover inside. The weather doesn't look all that good." Davis said.

"Well we have everything needed here. We've got plenty of generators, warm electric blankets, and computers for whatever you need." Nurse Joy said.

"This town sure uses a lot of electricity." Tetsu said as he wasn't sure he was liking that so much electricity was being used.

"Let it go." Davis said. "As long as it's not causing any problems, everything should be okay. Besides, I'm sure the people who live here have everything under control, so everything should be fine."

"I guess you're right." Tetsu said as he thought he might have been worrying for nothing.

...

The Power Plant

Charger certainly does use a lot of electricity, but that could end up being a problem indeed. If all that power were to just disappear, the town could be in trouble. All that electricity is also acting like a calling. In the woods just outside, a certain pokemon was affected by all the electricity. They were all drawn to it and went to it.

"Joltik!" A whole bunch of Joltik came out of the woods and went straight to the power plant. Once they got there, they helped themselves to all the electricity. They fed upon it, but that ended up being a problem. All the electricity all the Joltik were feeding on was causing lights and power to go out all over the place. Charger was loosing power all around and that's not good.

...

The Pokemon Center

Not even the Pokemon Center was spared. They lost power and that wasn't good. Many pokemon were being treated there and no power meant they were all in a lot of trouble.

"Oh no!" Nurse Joy said as she, Davis, and the others all hurried and saw there was no power anywhere.

"What happened to all the power?!" Davis said.

"I'm not sure." Nurse Joy said.

"It's not just the Pokemon Center. Take a look outside." Imperialdramon said as he pointed out the window. They all looked and saw a blackout all over the town. The once bright town was now covered in darkness. "It looks like there isn't power anywhere."

"How did that happen? There's no thunder or any storm." Cletus said as he tried to figure it out. "This doesn't seem like a natural phenomenon."

"Who cares what caused it?! What matters more is that these pokemon are in need of help!" Tetsu claimed.

"Tetsu's right. Nurse Joy, isn't there anything you can do?!" Davis said.

"I'm not really sure." Nurse Joy said as she really isn't sure there's anything she can do. She might not be able to do anything, but Davis and the others refuse to just stand around and do nothing at a time like this.

"Maybe we should go to the Power Plant and figure out what happened." Imperialdramon suggested.

"Good idea. We better hurry." Davis said as all four of them hurried out of there in hopes of saving those pokemon.

"Good luck." Nurse Joy said as she hopes they really can do it.

...

The Power Plant

Davis and his friends hurried as fast as they could to the power plant in hopes of finding a way to get the power back on. With no time to lose, they all rushed there and soon were able to find the plant. However, the place appeared to be deserted by the time they got there.

"Are you sure this is the place?" Davis questioned.

"That's what the map says, but it looks like there's no one here." Cletus said.

"Well, we don't have any time to lose. Let's see if we can get inside." Davis said as they can't turn back now.

"Over here!" Imperialdramon called as he found a way in as he pulled open a door. Now that they have a way inside, all of them went on ahead. However, the place was dark and looked creepy. It was like it was deserted.

"Weird. There really is no one here." Davis said as he had a look around. "I don't even here a single sound. You think in the middle of a blackout, people would be working to get the power back on."

"I wonder what could have happened." Cletus said as Tetsu took a look at a map.

"It looks like the central control room is just down this hall." Tetsu pointed the way. At least they now know where to go. All of them walked down the dark hall and kept their eyes open for anything. With no powers and nothing to be seen, the slightest sound could cause shakes. That's what happened to Tetsu as he heard the sound of something walking in the vents. "Did you hear that?!"

"Hear what?" Cletus questioned.

"I didn't hear anything." Imperialdramon said.

"You're imagining things." Davis said. "We don't have time for games."

"I'm not playing games." Tetsu said. That's when he heard the sound again. "There it is again!"

"Tetsu, it's fine if you're scared. We can handle things without you." Davis said. "This probably isn't for people who get scared so easily."

"What?!" Tetsu shouted as he put Davis in a headlock. "You are so obnoxiously annoying!" He shouted as he tried to stranggle him, but Cletus and Imperialdramon pulled them apart.

"Knock it off. We don't have time for... What the heck?!" Cletus said as he spotted something down the way they came. All of them took a look and were shocked at what they saw as well. In the dark, all they could see were purple glowing lights and there were dozens of them.

"What are those thing?!" Davis said as they were all getting spooked now. When their eyes adjusted to the dark, they could see they were all the Joltik.

"Theyr'e all Joltik!" Cletus said.

"Joltik?" Davis questioned as he reached for his pokedex.

"Joltik, the Attaching Pokemon. A bug and electric-type. Joltik attach themselves to other pokemon and feed off their electricity because they can't produce their own."

"This place is infested with them! The Joltik must have caused the blackout!" Cletus said.

"Guys... There's something else back there." Tetsu pointed out with fear in his voice. They all looked in the back and could see something much bigger back there. When they were able to see what it was, it was a large Galvantula.

"Yikes! Giant spider!" Imperialdramon said.

"Galvantula!"

"It's a Galvantula! Joltik's evolve form!" Cletus said with Davis aiming his pokedex at it.

"Galvantula, the EleSpider pokemon. A bug and electric type, and the evolve form of Joltik. Galvantual can shoot electrified fur that can cause paralysis for three days and three nights."

"I don't think they're happy we're here." Imperialdramon said as this wasn't looking good at all.

"And there's too many of them to fight off!" Tetsu said as this wasn't looking good for them at all.

"Galvantula!" Galvantual apparently ordered the Joltik to attack. They did as they all charged with Davis and the others running for it. All of them kept on running until Davis ran into someone and it looked like they found a couple people that worked at the plant.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" One of the workers said.

"I think that's the least of our worries." Tetsu said. That was right when Galvantula and the Joltik showed up.

"Oh no! They're here too!"

"This way!" Both of the employees showed the way as they all ran away and took cover inside a control room with Cletus holding the door back.

"That was close." Davis said.

"Excuse me, but are all those Joltik the reason the power is out?" Tetsu questioned.

"You need to get it back on! A lot of pokemon at the Pokemon Center need it!" Davis said.

"We're trying, but we're infested with Joltik. They keep feeding on all of it."

"What are all of them doing here in the first place?" Imperialdramon questioned.

"There must have been a nest or something close by. All this electricity was like a calling card to them. It's like an all you can eat buffet here." Tetsu said.

"There's got to be something we can do to get rid of them." Davis said as he tried to figure out how they can solve this.

"Davis!" Cletus called as he was struggling with the door. "Galvantula's ramming the door! I don't know if I can hold it!" Galvantula kept smashing itself against the door to knock it down. Davis and Tetsu tried to help, but Galvantula was just too strong.

"If we don't think of something fast, we might be part of the buffet!" Tetsu said.

"But what can we do?!" Davis said. Galvantula gave it one good push and knocked the door down with all of them getting inside and there was nowhere for them to run now.

"We have no choice. We've got to fight." Imperialdramon said.

"You're right. Give them a taste of your Dragon Pulse!" Davis said. Imperialdramon unleashed the blast and it hit against some Joltik. Those ones were knocked back easily, but the problem was that there were too many of them.

"There must be a way to... Wait! I know!" Cletus said as he reached for a pokeball. "Lillipup, Roar!"

"Arf!" Lillipup came out and used roar. That gave the Joltik a good scare as they all ran away. Lillipup kept roaring and chasing them away.

"That will chase them away." Davis said.

"Wait! There's one that's not leaving!" Tetsu said as they noticed Galvantula wasn't leaving. This one is tougher to beat than the others.

"Galvantula... You want to play rough? Bring it. Imperialdramon, Brick Break!" Davis ordered. Imperialdramon smashed his attack against Galvantula with a lot of force, but Galvantula pushed Imperialdramon away. "Now use Dragon Pulse!" Imperialdramon unleashed the attack and blasted Galvantula again with Galvantula hitting the wall. After all that, Galvantula was still standing and wasn't backing down.

"It just won't back down." Tetsu said.

"I like a pokemon that doesn't give up the fight." Davis said as he reached for a pokeball. "This should help! Go, pokeball!" He tossed the pokeball with it hitting against Galvantula and Galvantula went inside. All of them watched the ball shake around and hoped it worked. When it dinged, that marked Davis got a new pokemon. "Yeah! I got a Galvantula!"

"Save the cheers for later. We still need to get the power back and there are still plenty of Joltik around." Tetsu said. This problem wasn't solved just yet.

"Hold on. Galvantula might be able to help us." One of the workers claimed. "If the Joltik came here because of electricity, let's give them some." With help from the workers, they harnessed some of Galvantula's electricity to help lure the Joltik away. What they did was take some balloons and filled devices and batteries with ton of electricity and released them into the sky and let the wind carried them away. When the Joltik noticed all that electrical power, they followed after them as they wanted that electricity. It worked, and those who didn't follow it, Davis and the others were able to easily chase them away. That meant they had no problem getting the power back and everything was restored to normal.

...

The Next Day

The sky was a lot clearer the next day. Once everything was back to normal, Davis and his friends were able to hit the road again, but had a few words for Nurse Joy.

"This goes to show you that you can't rely on so much electricity." Tetsu said. "There are other ways to get power like say windmills or solar power."

"You're right, Tetsu. It goes to show you too much power can be a bad thing, especially if you lose it and have nothing else." Nurse Joy said.

"True, and there are alternatives that are friendlier to the environment." Cletus said. "By using alternative energy, pokemon like that Joltik won't try to swipe it all for themselves. This town is great, but it can be better."

"I'm just glad it all worked out. On top of that, I've got a new friend coming along with us." Davis said.

"You mean you're keeping Galvantula?" Tetsu questioned.

"Why wouldn't I? It's an awesome pokemon." Davis said.

"I'm sure you'll take good care of it." Nurse Joy said. "You all take care now." She said as they all hit the road to the pure natural world and taking Galvantula for the ride.

This experience has taught our heroes that one should always be ready for when they lose power. Preparations are necessarry, and you can always lend a hand to someone. So, with Galvantula coming along, our heroes continue on with their journey.
