AN: I want to clear something up. I messed up with Galvantula. Galvantula's attacks are Electro Ball, Electro Web, Sticky Web, and Poison Jab. If I said Spider Web and Poison Fang, it's because those were the original attacks I wanted to give Galvantula until I learned at the last minute Galvantula can't use those attacks.

After regrouping with Tetsu and Davis earning his fifth badge, our heroes have hit the road once again.

"The fire is really cooking." Tetsu said as he tried to get a fire going. "Is this good for you, Cletus? Can you cook with this?"

"Yeah. That looks good." Cletus said.

"So, where's my next badge?" Davis asked.

"Hold on a second. I'm looking around." Cletus said as he took a look at a map. "Found one! It looks like there's a gym in Texstar City."

"Perfect. I'll get that sixth badge in no time." Davis said as he was taking good care of his other five. He can't wait to see how his badge case looks when all eight are in there. However, Davis isn't the only one who is admiring those badges. Someone was hiding and could see the badges as well. The shine from the badges were acting like a calling. Seeing Davis causing those badges to shine, whoever it is wants them.

(Davis' voice) Call to the Mawile

"My badges are looking great. Who are my pretty badges?" Davis said as he really liked them.

"You start kissing those things and I swear I'm going to smack you." Tetsu said as he was getting annoyed with Davis' attitude. "How about you do something useful and actually help out with lunch." Annoyed with Tetsu, Davis put his badges down and went to help out. That gave someone the opportunity to swipe the badges for themselves. Stealthy and carefully, someone grabbed a hold of the case.

"Imperialdramon, could you do us a favor and get some water?" Cletus asked.

"Sure. I... Davis! Your badges!" Imperialdramon called as he spotted something. They all took a look and saw a Mawhile standing there with Davis' badges.

"Who's that pokemon?" Davis asked.

"It's a Mawile." Cletus said with Davis taking out his pokedex.

"Mawhile, the Deceiver Pokemon. A steel and fairy type. The set of jaws on its head is actually horns that have transformed. It lures its prey in using its docile face and chomps down on them."

"Mawile..." Mawile seemed to love how shiny and nice the badges looked. It thought they were accessories and tried putting them on like pieces of jewlrey.

"Hey! Those are my badges! Put them down!" Davis demanded as he didn't want Mawile to mess around with them. "Come on. Give those to me." Davis walked over and tried to get them back, but Mawile gave off a look that made it seem so innocent. It sort of made Davis less angry. "Aw... Don't look at me like that." He said, but Mawile tricked him and used that massive jaw to bite down on his arm. "AAAAWWWWW!" Mawile laughed and ran off with the badges.

"I can't believe you feel for that. The pokedex warned us about that." Imperialdramon said.

"Hey! Give me back those badges!" Davis called as he chased after Mawile. He tried chasing after Mawile, but Mawile was making a run for it. Mawile fought back as it used an attack called Fairy Wind and blasted Davis with it. Not only did it knock him down, but it also blinded him. Davis took a look and saw Mawile was gone. "That Mawile just swiped my badges!" He called as he was furious now. "Venomoth, get out here!"

"Venomoth!"

"Fly, Venomoth! Find a Mawile that swiped my badges!" Davis ordered and Mawile went through with it as Venomoth started flying.

"Calm down, Davis." Tetsu said. "Even if we don't find your badges, we can just contact the gyms you beat and get replacements."

"No way!" Davis refused. "I learned that you don't just get your badges replaced! After everything I did to get them, I'm not going to replace them!"

"Huh?" Tetsu questioned as he didn't get it.

"I think he's talking about sentimental value." Cletus clarified.

"No pokemon is stealing my badges!" Davis said as he was getting fired up and angry. "That Mawile is toast!"

Mawile

Mawile managed to give Davis and the others the slip and now could do whatever it wanted with Davis badges. Finding a place to sit, Mawhile took the badges and continued to admire them.

"Maw..." Mawile obviously seemed to like them, how shiny they were, and treated them like jewelry. It tried placing them on its head or earrings, but they couldn't stick. Mawile continued playing around with them while Venomoth was able to find it.

Davis

Davis and the others searched around for where Mawile could be. Davis wasn't going to stop at nothing to get those badges back.

"Davis, there's Venomoth." Imperialdramon pointed out with Venomoth came back.

"Venomoth? Did you find Mawile?" Davis asked. Venomoth confirmed that it did and showed them where Mawile was. All of them kept on moving with Venomoth leading the way. They all kept on moving until they found Mawhile. "There you are Mawile! Give me back those badges right now!" Mawile just stuck its tongue out at him and tried running off with them. "That bratty little... Imperialdramon!"

"Davis, hold up for a minute!" Cletus said as he stopped him from doing anything. "Mawile is a fairy-types. Dragon-type attacks won't do any damage."

"Dang it." Davis said as he was getting annoyed and just chased after Mawile again. "Mawile, give me back those badges or I'll..." Davis tried getting the badges back, but Mawile wasn't watching where it was going and was going to run off a cliff. "Hey! Watch out!" He called, but it was too late and Mawile ended up going the cliff.

"Oh no!" Tetsu called as he and Cletus were scared now.

"Imperialdramon!" Davis called as he just jumped for it. Davis caught Mawile and tried keeping it safe with Imperialdramon flying down and saving both of them.

"That was a little close." Davis said with Mawile surprised Davis tried to protect it like that. Imperialdrmaon flew back up to the cliff and made sure the two were safe.

"Davis?! Are you okay?!" Cletus asked as they both ran to him.

"That was so reckless! Are you crazy?!" Tetsu said.

"No since I already knew Imperialdramon would catch us." Davis said as Mawile stared at Davis with amazement. "You okay, Mawile?" Mawile was still in shock, but appeared to be unharmed. "Good. Now, can I have my badges back?" That seemed to have annoyed Mawile.

"Mawile!" Mawile smacked Davis right in the head with its jaws and ran off with his badges again.

"What was that about?! What's with that pokemon?!" Davis said.

"It called you a jerk." Imperialdramon translated. "Maybe Mawile thought you only saved it to get your badges back."

"I didn't, but I still like them back." Davis said as he wasn't giving up yet.

"Mawile took your badges in the first place because it thought they were shiny and thinks they're jewelry..." Cletus said as he thought them over. "Maybe if Mawile sees that's not the case, it will just give them back. We should be patient and try being rational with Mawile."

"I don't the patience to be patient! I want my badges now!" Davis insisted as he hurried after Mawile. Mawile just kept running with the badges and didn't seem like it was going to give them up so easily. In fact, it bothered Mawile a bit that Davis might have only saved Mawile just for the badges, but there's not much it can do about that. Mawile just kept on running until it ended up running into something.

"Mawile?" Mawile looked up and saw it ran into a Darmanitan, and it certainly did not look happy that Mawile just smashed into it. This Darmanitan clearly did not like being bothered.

"Darmanitan!" It just attacked Mawile, but Mawile jumped right out of the way. Mawile tried attacking it as it used Iron Head, but Darmanitan was able to catch the attack with its large hand and threw Mawile to the ground with the badge case being tossed aside. "Darmanitan!" Darmanitan was going to attack poor Mawile once again and Mawile couldn't get out of the way in time.

"I've got you!" Davis called as he arrived just in time to lift Mawhile off the ground and carried it away from danger like a princess. "Wow, Mawile. You really seem to know how to cause trouble."

"Darmanitan!" Darmanitan didn't seem done yet as it chased right after them.

"Come on! Take it easy! I'm sure it was all just an accident!" Davis called, but Darmanitan surely wasn't listening. Davis just kept running with Mawile in his hands until he came across a large tree. "Oops. Wrong turn." Davis was going to turn back around, but Darmanitan blocked the way. Mawile was rather scared now, but Davis placed Mawile down and stood in the way. "Just stay behind me. Everything is going to be okay." He assured with Mawile amazed he's not afraid. Darmanitan just went straight for the attack with Mawile scared that Davis is going to get hurt.

"No you don't!" Imperialdramon called as he flew in with Dragon Rush and smashed right into Darmanitan and knocked it away from them. "Scram! Get out of here!" Darmanitan had enough and decided to just leave.

"Davis!" Cletus called as he and Tetsu showed up.

"You okay?!" Tetsu asked.

"Yeah, and it looks like Mawile is too." Davis said as he patted Mawile's head and was glad Mawile was safe. Mawile was amazed over what happened. Now that it was all over, they were getting ready to part ways with Mawile. "You going to be okay now?" He asked However, Mawile still looked rather skeptic about Davis' intentions. That was when it realized Mawile didn't have his badges anymore.

"Wondering about Davis' badges? They're right here." Tetsu said as he showed he had the case and handed them back to Davis.

"Thanks, Tetsu." Davis said. "I hope you also see I helped out because I care, Mawile."

"Maw..."

"You really liked my badges, don't you?" Davis said. "That's why you took them, but I really like them too, and I need them. You shouldn't have taken them in the first place." Mawile seemed like it was starting to feel bad about it's behavior. "Besides, you don't need these. You look like a cute pokemon already." He said and smiled. That smile had Mawile see something that shined brighter than Davis' badges. Mawile practically loved it.

"Mawile!" Mawile ran straight to Davis and clinged to his leg.

"Huh?! What's this about?" Davis questioned. Mawile was even blushing a bit and it was like love at first sight for Mawile given all that Davis has done.

"I think Mawile has a bit of a crush on you, Davis." Imperialdramon teased with the others chuckling. Davis wasn't sure what to make of this.

"Uh... Please tell me Mawile is a girl at least." Davis whispered to Imperialdramon. "Not that there's anything wrong with Mawile being a boy, but this is already rather awkward." He said as he wasn't sure what to make of this situation.

"You're good. Mawile is a girl." Imperialdramon confirmed.

"Uh... Mawile, I don't know about what you're feeling now." Davis said as he dropped down and wasn't really sure what to think. "However, if you want to come with us, you can." Mawile certainly liked the sound of that. That's why Davis took a pokeball and tapped it against Mawile with Mawile going inside and officially became his. "Yeah! I got Mawile!"

Although Mawile didn't leave a good first impression, Mawile has taken a liking to Davis. Now, Davis has a new pokemon and traveling companion. With one more for the ride, there's sure to be many great times ahead, so don't miss any of it.

AN: Okay, before any of you complain or whatever about Davis having a Mawile because you probably think that's not an ideal pokemon for him or whatever, let me just explain something. With Mawile now part of the team, Davis has now officially caught one pokemon of every type. Steel and fairy were the last ones and Mawile is both. On that note, there's one more thing. Davis is going to catch one more pokemon in this story, but here's the thing... You all get to choose what pokemon that is. Just simply leave a review of what pokemon you would like Davis to have and I will decide which one it is. So, let's see what pokemon he'll get somewhere down the road.
