"Hurry up, guys! I want to go see it!" Davis said as he was rather excited.

"Yeah! This sounds like it would be a lot of fun!" Imperialdramon said.

"We're hurrying. We just don't have your kind of energy." Tetsu said as he and Cletus tried to keep up with them.

"You two really should learn to be more patient." Cletus said. "There is that old saying that patience is a virtue."

"I think you're barking up the wrong tree with these guys." Tetsu said. Something has got them excited as they all want to see something. They all hurried to the top of a hill. When they made it to the top, they saw a factory.

"There it is! It's the pokeball factory!" Davis said as he was rather excited about this.

(Davis' voice) To The Pokeball Game

Our heroes are continuing on their journey towards the Newmex City, but they have taken a little detour. When they heard that they were near a factory that makes Pokeballs, they just had to stop and take a tour.

"This is awesome!" Davis said as they walked closer to the factory. "I can't believe this is where all the pokeballs are made."

"Well, this is really just a branch from the one in Kalos." Cletus pointed out. "Still, it is rather impressive. To think pokeballs of every kind are here."

"Welcome." All of them looked ahead and were met with a man having blonde hair and a suit. "You must be the trainers that called earlier and asked for the tour of the factory. One of you is named Cletus, right?"

"That would be me. I'm the one that made the appointment." Cletus said. "These are my friends: Davis, Tetsu, and Imperialdramon. Thank you for letting us come to take the tour of the factory."

"Of course. We always allow tours." The man said. "I'm sure trainers like yourselves would be excited about a place like this. My name is Garret. I run this factory and I'll be the one to give you all the tour."

"Thank you." Cletus said.

"This is going to be so cool!" Davis said. All of them walked inside and were excited to see how pokeballs are really made. What none of them saw was that there was someone hiding in the shadows.

"I know just the place to start. We'll start our tour by showing you the gardens." Garret said.

"Gardens? What gardens?" Davis questioned. "I thought this was a pokeball factory, and pokeballs don't grow on trees. Do they?"

"In a way..." Garret claimed. Garret started the tour by showing them a greenhouse. Inside the green house, many workers were tending to some trees that had different colored pieces that looked like acorns growing from them. "Those are apricorns. They are what we use to make some pokeballs."

"Apricorns?" Davis questioned. "I've never seen them before."

"Look at all the different colors." Imperialdramon said.

"The apricorns have been imported from the Johto region." Garret said. "We grow and nourish them until they're ripe to become pokeballs. They're also safe from being eaten because the outside is so tough and hard that pokemon can't eat them."

"I've heard of that. To think that's how pokeballs start out." Tetsu said.

"Different colored apricorns help make different pokeballs." Garret said. "Black is for heavy balls, blue is for lure balls, green is for friend balls, pink is for love balls, red is for level balls, white is for fast balls, and yellow is for moon balls. Once the apricorns are ripe, we molt them down to form the pokeballs."

"Wow. I never would have guessed that pokeballs come from giant acorns." Davis said.

"Excuse me, but that is only seven different pokeballs." Tetsu pointed out. "None of them are an ordinary pokeball. I also happen to know there are many different kinds of pokeballs like great balls, dive balls, and quick balls. How are those kinds of pokeballs formed?"

"A great question." Garrett said. "Follow me and I'll show you." He said as he lured them to a different part of the factory. He brought them to an assembly line where they saw other pokeballs being made. They saw programs being made into cards with them being sprayed painted their respective colored. "This is where we make all the other different pokeballs. It's all done using simple technology."

"Awesome!" Davis said as they all loved how this looked. They're seeing new pokeballs being built right before their eyes.

"I never knew there were so many different pokeballs." Imperialdramon questioned.

"Why are there so many different pokeballs?" Davis asked.

"It's because there are so many different kind of pokemon." Garrett said. "There are some that are too strong for a regular pokeball to work. That is why others are made. Some are built to meet certain conditions to make it easier to catch a pokemon. A net ball for example would be great for catching bug-types and water-types."

"Sounds like my kind of pokeball." Tetsu said.

"Of course, there are a few that are just stronger than regular pokeballs. An example would be great balls and ultra balls. Another example would be a premiere ball. They work best on pokemon you've never caught before." Garret said.

"And pokeballs have their own effect like how a friend ball makes a pokemon friendlier towards its new trainer." Cletus claimed.

"This is so cool." Davis said as he was loving it. Pokeballs might be small, but they can be quite powerful for them to catch extraordinary creatures. However, there are those out there that would use that technology for their own purposes.

...

The Mainframe

While Garret was giving the tour of the factory, there was something else going on. Someone snuck inside the factory and went straight for the mainframe of the factory's systems. He landed right in the room and tried gaining access to a computer.

"Let's see... It has to be in here." The mystery man said as he was trying to gain access to something. That was just when someone came in through the door.

"Hey! You can't be in here!" The lady said, but that was when he took a couple of his own pokeballs and called for a Rhyperior and a Weezing.

"Rhy!"

"Weezing!"

"Weezing, Sludge Bomb. Rhyperior, block the door with Stone Edge." The man said. Both of his pokemon used their attacks like he said and scared the lady off. She just barely avoided the attacks, but the entrance was blocked. However, she did reach for a switch on the wall and caused an alarm to go off.

...

Davis' Group

The alarm was heard through the whole factory with Davis and the others hearing it as well.

"What's with the alarm?!" Davis said.

"Trouble!" Garret said as he ran off to see what it was about.

"Let's check this out." Davis said with the others agreeing and followed after Garret. All of them hurried to where the alarm came from and was soon at the entrance of the mainframe where the lady was.

"What happened?" Garret questioned.

"There's an intruder inside! He's blocked the entrance!"

"In the mainframe? Whoever it is could gain access to all our data." Garrett said.

"Not if I can help it. Make some room!" Imperialdramon said as he took action. He started smashing his way through the rocks. He was able to smash the rocks to pieces and they all managed to get inside. That was where they saw someone dressed in a black leather suit with a small cape hanging over his shoulders and had messy black hair.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" Davis called.

"Nothing because I got what I wanted." The man said as he took a drive from the computer.

"Who are you?" Tetsu said.

"Hold on..." Garret said as he took a good look at his face. "I believe I've seen your face before. Officer Jenny has been after you. If I heard correctly, your name is Tank and you're a pokemon hunter."

"A pokemon hunter?!" Tetsu said with all of them shocked that he was one.

"What's someone like you doing here?" Cletus said.

"That's none of your business. Just stay out of my way. Weezing, Smog!" Tank said. Weezing breathed out a cloud of toxic gas. All of them tried enduring the gas, but Tank made his escape and was already gone by the time the smoke cleared.

"Gone! What would a pokemon hunter be doing here?" Davis said.

"What did he take from the mainframe?" Cletus questioned. That's what Garret tried to find out as he tried to access the data.

"Oh no!" Garret said. "He's gained the code to access the vault that holds the master ball!"

"What's a master ball?" Davis questioned.

"I've heard of them. They're the most powerful pokeball ever created." Cletus said. "They're capable of catching any pokemon."

"Yes, but the technology is highly advance. We only have the one." Garret said. "It looks like he also copied the data to make one, as well as to make pokeballs in the first place. If the likes of a hunter got his hands on that kind of technology, as well as use of the master ball, there's no pokemon he couldn't catch."

"Not if we can help it." Davis said as he's not going to let that happen.

...

Tank

Tank used the data he had and was able to find the vault that had the master ball inside it. He was even able to get the code to open it. Once he got the vault open and saw it just sitting there.

"Perfect." Tank said as he took the ball. "With this, I can catch any pokemon I want. If I can get my hands on any pokemon, I'll make a fortune."

"Not if we can help it!" He turned around and saw Davis and his friends coming at him. "You're not going anywhere with that."

"I thought I said stay out of my way. You'll wish you had." Tank said as he called out his Weezing again. "Weezing, Self-Destruct."

"Wait! You can't use that here!" Cletus called, but Weezing and Tank went through with it. Weezing used the attack and the explosion that knocked all of them back. It also blew a hole in the wall that Tank used to escape from. "I've heard that some hunters are savage and ruthless, but that was just crazy."

"He's still not leaving with any of that." Davis said as he and Imperialdramon got up and went after him. Tank tried making a run for it, but Imperialdramon cut his path off as he fired a Dragon Pulse near him and kept him from going anywhere. "You're not leaving with any of that stuff! Hand it over or else!"

"If anyone is getting "or else" here, it's going to be you if you don't get out of my way." Tank said.

"You think I'm just going to let you leave with that data or that pokeball so you can use it to catch and sell whatever pokemon you want. No way!" Davis said.

"It's not up to you." Tank said as he called out Rhyperior. "Rhyperior, get these fools out of the way. Hammer Arm!"

"Focus Punch!" Davis said. The two of them went on the attack and the two attacks smashed into each other.

"It's right there! Blast it with Stone Edge!" Tank said. Rhyperior didn't let Imperialdramon go as it smashed its tail against the ground and caused rocks to shoot out of the ground and knocked Imperialdramon down.

"Are you okay?!" Davis said.

"Yeah, but that Rhyperior is powerful." Imperialdramon said as he really felt that attack.

"Finish it now with Hammer Arm!" Tank said. Rhyperior didn't give Imperialdramon the chance to get back up as it smashed its fist right into Imperialdramon and smashed him right through the ground. "Your pokemon is quite valuable. I've never seen another like it. You're lucky I can't just take it now, but I've got what I came for."

"You're not going anywhere with that!" Davis called.

"Why are you making a fuss? I'm just grabbing a pokeball to use it to catch any pokemon like any trainer. That's not a crime." Tank said.

"Maybe so, but you just want to use them to get whatever pokemon you want." Davis said. "A pokeball is much more than that. It helps you make new friends and take them with you wherever you go."

"Please." Tank said as he wasn't interested. "A pokeball is nothing more than a tool to catch a pokemon. Sentimental thinking like that is nothing more than nonsense."

"Whatever the case, you're still just stealing and that's not happening." Davis said, but Tank is getting annoyed with this.

"Rhyperior, get that brat out of the way already." Tank ordered. Rhyperior was going to do just that, but Imperialdramon grabbed it by the leg and stopped Rhyperior from doing anything.

"We're not done." Imperialdramon said as he got back up.

"Show them a thing or two with Focus Punch!" Davis said. Imperialdramon shot straight up and smashed his fist against Rhyperior and got it to fall back. "Now use Brick Break!" Imperialdramon raised his arm and smashed it right on Rhyperior's head. "Finish this with Dragon Rush!" Imperialdramon flew straight at Rhyperior and smashed into it with some dragon power. Imperialdramon pushed Rhyperior back and caused it to smash right into Tank with Tank dropping the master ball and the data he stole.

"You little..." Tank was going to get back up and finish this, but Imperialdramon pushed down with his foot and kept Tank pinned down.

"You're not going anywhere until Officer Jenny shows up." Imperialdramon said as they managed to get everything back and catch a rotten hunter.

...

Later

They all managed to get everything under control. Officer Jenny came and was taking Tank away. As for the master ball, it was put back where it belonged.

"Thank you so much for getting everything back." Garret said. "I don't want to imagine what would have happened if something like this fell into the wrong hands."

"A pokeball like that is extremely powerful. I bet it could even catch a legendary pokemon." Cletus claimed. "All the more reason it's got to be protected."

"You're certainly right about that." Garrett said. "I wish I could give it to well-mannered trainers like yourself, but it's our only one and I'm afraid I can't. However, I do have something for all of you." He then showed them quite a collection of pokeballs. One of every kind was there. "As a showmen of my gratitude for what you all tried to do, you all can have one special pokeball each. You each can choose whichever one you like?"

"Are you serious? Awesome!" Davis said as he couldn't pass something like this. A brand new pokeball could help them get whatever pokemon they want. "There's so many. I don't know which one to choose."

"I know which one I'm taking." Tetsu said as he made his pick. "I'll take the net ball. It might be great for bug-types, but it's great for water-types too."

"I'll take this one." Cletus said as he took a pink and yellow one. "This one is called a heal ball. It can heal any pokemon it catches."

"There's so many to choose from. It's hard to pick just one." Davis said as he didn't know which one he wanted. "Hey, how about you pick one, Imperialdramon?"

"Me? Let's see..." Imperialdramon said as he tried to figure it out. "I actually like that shiny black one."

"This one?" Davis said as he grabbed the one he was referring to.

"That's a luxury ball. A pokemon will love being in that one." Garret said.

"Sounds great. I'll take it." Davis said. Now all three of them have new pokeballs and that gives them greater chances to catch whatever pokemon they like.

A pokeball can be more than just a tool. That's a lesson our heroes are reminded of after this experiment. With each of them having their own special pokeball, what kind of new friend will they be able to make with them? The only way to know is to stay tuned to find out.

To Be Continued...

AN: Just a friendly reminder that there's still time for you all to submit a pokemon for Davis. There's been a few good ones, but you can submit more than one idea. You still have time to do that. Just remember, no Hisui pokemon or any of those new pokemon from Scarlet and Violet.
