As our heroes continued on their journey, they were met with the notorious organization known as Team Rocket. Team Rocket has set up a lab in the Centros Region where they are conducting experiments on a Steelix. The purpose of the experiment is to awaken the full potential of a pokemon and use that power for their own purposes. However, an experiment like this can take a physical and mental toll on the pokemon. Our heroes made a brave attempt to rescue Steelix, but were captured by Team Rocket. With this Boomer, an obviously ruthless member of Team Rocket, calling the shots; what can Davis and the others do to stop this?

(Davis' voice) Blasting Off Pt.2

Boomer was observing the experiment happen. He wanted results and he wanted them now.

"No more waiting." Boomer said as he stared down at Steelix. "Bring out that power and bring it out now. I want to see what this Steelix can really do."

"Sir, using it now in Steelix's condition could be risky." One of the scientists warned.

"So what?!" Boomer said as he clearly didn't care. "If we can't bring that power out, this is all just a waste of time. Time to see what this Steelix can really do." He took control of this experiment and added some power to it. Wires were hooked up to Steelix with some restraints, but Steelix could feel something in it awakening. Steelix started to thrash around like it was in serious pain.

"Sir! An increase in power but also in rage is taking place!" One of the scientists warned. "We must stop this at once!"

"Do not stop!" Boomer shouted. "What happens to the pokemon is not our concern! What is that they have the power we want!"

"But sir..." They tried to talk some sense into him, but Boomer grabbed a hold of him and threw him against the wall.

"This doesn't stop. If anything, this will give us valuable data for future use." Boomer said in a menacing voice. "As long as we get what we're looking for, that's really all that matters." Boomer let things go on with Steelix in serious pain. Steelix's eyes were even turning red. Steelix's power really was coming out as it managed to break free from its restraints and was thrashing around in the room. Boomer didn't even try to stop it. Steelix busted right through the wall and continued its rampage as it unleashed a series of Flash Cannons and was attacking everything. It was all going just as Boomer wanted.

...

Davis

"Come on! Let's us out of here! How can you guys think you're doing the right thing or whatever?!" Davis shouted.

"Shut up!" One of the grunts said. Two of them were keeping guard over them while they were trapped in a cage. Without their pokemon, there isn't anything they could do to get out of there.

"There's got to be something we can do." Davis said. "We've got to get out of here and go help Steelix."

"What do you think they're going to do to Steelix?" Tetsu questioned.

"I rather not think about that." Cletus said. This wasn't looking good for any of them. It looked like it was going to get worse.

"Hey! What's that?!" One of the grunts looked down the hall and saw what appeared to be smoke flowing in from the hall. "Is there a fire?!"

"Let's check it out." Both of them hurried down the hall to see where that smoke was coming from. They couldn't see where it was originating from, but that was when they attacked.

"Serviper!" A serviper came right through the smoke and took out both of them.

"Nice work, Serviper." Chase said as he showed himself. Once he took care of the guards, he was able to free Davis and the others from their prison and was even able to get Imperialdramon out of his own cage.

"Thanks a lot, Chase." Davis said as he and the others took their pokeballs back, but Chase was not happy with them.

"What are all of you even doing here? I told you this was dangerous and you should have just stayed away." Chase said.

"I know what you said, but I just couldn't ignore what was happening." Davis said. "We had to do something to stop what Team Rocket was doing."

"We're sorry we didn't listen to you, but wouldn't you have done the same thing if you were us?" Tetsu said.

"This was about doing what was right." Cletus said. "We had to try and do something to save Steelix, as well as any other pokemon that might be suffering for this."

"Chase, you would have done the same if you were us." Imperialdramon said. "I surely wouldn't want to go through what Team Rocket is doing, but some pokemon go along with it. We had to try and do something to free pokemon from this madness. Please, let us help with this." Chase could see he wasn't going to be able to talk them out of this. There wasn't any time to do that anyway. They could hear a series of explosions going off outside and knew that had to be trouble. They all hurried out to see what was happening. When they did, they could see Steelix was going on a rampage.

"Steelix! Not good." Chase said. "It must have went through that insidious experiment Team Rocket was working on again."

"Poor Steelix." Imperialdramon said. "I can hear it all in Steelix's voice. It's just angry and in pain. I don't think Steelix even knows what it's doing. It's just mad."

"It's only going to get worse from here." Chase said. "There's a town not that far from here. If Steelix goes there, it will wreck everything."

"We've got to try and help it." Davis said. All of them agreed and tried going after Steelix to stop it from causing anymore damage. However, Team Rocket wasn't going to allow anyone to get in their way. Some grunts came out and unleashed their pokemon to try and stop them. "Figures you creeps would try to get in our way."

"Attack!" All of their pokemon went on the attack.

"Imperialdramon, Dragon Pulse!" Davis called with Imperialdramon blasting some of them.

"Feraligatr, help out by using Aqua Tail!" Tetsu called.

"Grimer, you help by using Sludge!" Cletus called. They called out their two pokemon and used their own attacks to beat back the enemy. "We don't have time for this now! We've got to go help Steelix."

"But we need to get them out of the way first." Davis said as they were in a tough spot. It was only going to get worst as one pokemon used Rock Slide and it attacked everyone. It even attacked some of the pokemon that belonged to Team Rocket. "Where did that come from?!"

"Right there." They all looked and saw Boomer coming back with his Aggron.

"You meddlesome brats are more trouble than your worth." Boomer said. "You should have stayed in your cell. You would have lasted a lot longer. Aggron, get rid of them with Rock Slide."

"Aggron!" Aggron attacked them again and he had no regards for attacking his own men. All of them moved out of the way to try and avoid the rocks, but his own men still took some of them. Boomer was willing to attack everyone.

"Oh man. This guy is an animal. He's even attacking his own men." Davis complained.

"He's clearly the type that's only interested in what happens to himself." Imperialdramon said.

"Just leave him to me." Chase said as he stepped forward. "I want the rest of you to go after Steelix and do what you can to stop it. I'll join you as soon as I'm done with this creep."

"Are you sure?" Davis said.

"Davis, we have to go. We've got to help Steelix." Tetsu said.

"I'm sure Chase can handle things here." Cletus said. Davis didn't want to leave Chase behind, but he also has faith that Chase can handle this big creep. Once Tetsu and Cletus got their pokemon back in their pokeballs, they all ran for it and left Chase to handle Boomer.

"You think you can take me? I'll crush anyone who dare gets in my way." Boomer said.

"So you obviously made clear, but I could never lose to the likes of you." Chase said as he took out a pokeball.

"First time for everything!" Boomer said.

"Hydreigon, attack! Get them with your Dragon Rush!" Chase called as he released Hydreigon.

"Hydreigon!" Hydreigon surrounded itself with dragon power and went on the attack.

"Double-Edge!" Boomer shouted. The two pokemon went at each other and crashed with amazing power behind both of them.

Steelix

Steelix continued it's rampage as it was attacking everything that was in it's way. It was getting worse the closer Steelix was getting to a small town. If something isn't done soon, Steelix or somebody is going to get seriously hurt.

"Steelix, stop!" Davis called as he and his friends tried catching up with Steelix. "You've got to try and calm down!"

"Steelix, let us help you!" Imperialdramon called, but Steelix wasn't listening. It just turned to them and attacked, but they all ducked out of the way. "It's no good. Steelix won't listen."

"Well, we've got to stop it." Davis said.

"Hold on a second, Davis. We can't attack Steelix. It's already in enough pain." Tetsu said.

"But we've got to try and lure it away from the town before it causes any damage." Cletus said.

"I get all that. Imperialdramon, do you think you can try and get Steelix away from the town?" Davis questioned.

"I'll try." Imperialdramon said. He flew out ahead and tried getting in front of Steelix. When he did, he smashed himself into Steelix and tried to push it back. "Come on, big guy! You've got to try and settle down before you get get hurt!" He called. nit Steelix still kept attacking and wouldn't settle down at all. This wasn't looking good.

...

Chase

"Now use Double-Edge!" Boomer called. Aggron went straight at Hydreigon and smashed itself against Hydreigon with some damage being dealt. "Ha! For a champion, you ain't so tough. That's because you're too soft. You don't even try to bring out your pokemon's real power."

"It's real power?" Chase questioned. "That's where you and I disagree. Hydreigon is plenty strong, and is capable of bringing out its power without some use of fancy machine or anything. The power is not worth it if it's given to you and hurts you as a result. Just look at you did to Steelix!"

"Are you going on about how we made it a little angry? Rage and anger can be quite a boost in power." Boomer claimed. "So our experiment made it angry. So what?"

"Are you serious?! Your experiment is hurting Steelix, both physically and mentally!" Chase said. "I can't imagine what kind of pain Steelix is in when it's acting like that! How can you even live with yourself?!"

"Feeling good and powerful!" Boomer claimed. "Enough of your blabber! Aggron, get this guy out of the way! Tear him and his Hydreigon apart!" Aggron charged right at them to finish this off, but Chase wasn't going to allow the likes of him to have his way.

"You think I can't bring out Hydreigon's real power? What do you call this? Hydreigon, Focus Blast!" Chase said. Hydreigon focused its power into an orb and unleashed it in a powerful blast. Aggron got caught in the attack and was taken out from it. That wasn't good for Boomer. "Just give it up. Your kind never wins in the end."

"That's what you think." Boomer said as he chose another pokemon and called on a Fearow. "We'll settle this another day." He jumped up and grabbed Fearow to fly away.

"Running away? Even leaving poor Aggron behind?! I think not!" Chase said. "Hydregion, don't let him get away with Dragon Rush!" Hydreigon flew straight at Boomer and smashed right into him and Fearow. Boomer was knocked right out of the air and crashed into the ground. Hydreigon even remained over him to keep him from going anywhere. "The only place you're going to is jail."

"Curse you." Boomer said as he hated this. Chase was glad Boomer was stopped, but he heard some explosions go off and saw Steelix was still on a rampage.

"I've got to do something to stop Steelix. There might only be one way." Chase said as he knew what he had to do.

...

Steelix

Steelix continued it's rampage and wasn't stopping for anything. Imperialdramon is doing his best to stop Steelix without hurting it, but that was easier said than done. Steelix smashed its tail against Imperialdramon and smashed him against the ground.

"Come on, Steelix! We only want to help, but you need to settle down!" Tetsu called.

"Please let us help you!" Cletus called, but Steelix still wouldn't listen. It just kept attacking everything that was in its sight and it wasn't looking good at all.

"What do we do? What do we do?" Davis said as he hated this. Steelix was in pain, but it seemed like there wasn't anything they could do to help it.

"Hydreigon, Dragon Rush!" Hydreigon came charging in and smashed right into Steelix. That was when Davis and the others spotted Chase. "Now use Tri Attack!" Hydreigon unleashed an attack of fire, ice, and lightning with all three blasting Steelix, but Steelix fought back and used Flash Cannon again. Hydreigon flew around and avoided the attack.

"Chase, please stop attacking Steelix." Tetsu said. "It isn't right to attack it when it's like this. None of this is Steelix's fault."

"I'm afraid I can't do that." Chase said. "Steelix is so angry that it won't listen to reason. We're all in trouble if we don't do something to defend ourselves. This might be the only way."

"What are you going to do?" Davis asked.

"I'm going to catch Steelix. It might settle down if I do that, and I can protect it. It might be the only way" Chase said as he was willing to do what must be done. "Hydregion, Dark Pulse!"

"Hydreigon!" Hydreigon unleashed the attack and blasted Steelix with Steelix taking a lot of damage.

"Poor Steelix. None of this is its fault." Tetsu said.

"I can't believe there are people out there that would treat pokemon so coldly." Cletus claimed, but Davis was aware and hated it. Steelix couldn't take much more and ended up collapsing. When that happened, Chase threw a pokeball with Steelix getting pulled inside. The pokeball moved around a little, but it stopped and Steelix ended up being Chase's now. He took the pokeball and made sure to protect it. "Steelix, I promise that no one is ever going to hurt you again."

"You're safe now, Steelix." Davis said as they were glad it was safe now, but felt so sorry for Steelix.

...

Later

"I contacted Officer Jenny and made sure those Team Rocket members were apprehended." Chase said. Officer Jenny took them all in, even that awful Boomer. "We also copied and erased every bit of data they had in that building in hopes that awful experiment can't be used again. I do wish to thank you for trying to help." Chase told Davis and his friends as they were getting ready to part ways. "I promise that Steelix is in good hands. I'll take good care of it."

"We trust you, Chase." Davis said.

"You were all brave, and you all care deeply for pokemon." Chase said. "I wish you all well on the rest of your journey, and hope you all never go through something like this again." With that, Chase hopped on Hydreigon and flew off into the setting sun and taking his new friend with him. Davis and the others were on their way, but they couldn't get what happened out of their heads.

"I still can't get over what happened." Tetsu said. "Those people treated pokemon like they were tools or a way to get power."

"Me neither. I can't believe there are organizations like that out in the world." Cletus said.

"I like to think a day would come where organizations like that won't be around anymore, but I know better." Imperialdramon said. "As long as there's power, there's always going to be someone who tries to use that power for themselves rather than for others."

"Maybe, but hopefully Team Rocket will be brought down for good at least." Davis said as he looked to the setting sun in hopes a day like that will come.

And so, our heroes got a look at the darker side that comes with people and pokemon. There are those out there who will do anything if it means they can have power, gain power by any means. As long as there's power out there, there will be those who are like that. As for our heroes, they'll continue to use the power they do have to help others. All they can do is just keep pushing ahead.
