The semi-finals of the Centros League has begun with Davis going against Keen. Keen is battling with pokemon Davis knows little to nothing about and it's giving him the advantage. He has already lost Galvantula, Growlithe and Venomoth. Davis now has only three pokemon left while Keen still has five. It's going to take quite the comeback for Davis to get out of this one. Can he still pull off a win?

(Davis' voice) On the Edge of the Seat

"This semi-final battle has put Davis in quite a bind. The score is five to three right now. Which ever pokemon chooses next will be crucial for him."

"Go, Cloyster!" Davis called as he made his next choice.

"Cloyster!"

"Davis' fourth pokemon is his Cloyster. Does Cloyster have what it takes to beat Keen's Araquanid?"

"Go, Cloyster! Blast that Araquanid with your Ice Shard!" Davis called.

"Dodge it!" Keen called. As Cloyster launched the shard of ice, Araquanid jumped up and avoided the attack. It's impressive jumping was quite a problem for Davis. "Now use Lunge!" Araquanid jumped at Cloyster itself this time like a bug jumping from a blade of grass.

"Iron Defense!" Davis called. Cloyster closed its shell and blocked the attack.

"Cloyster's defense increases, but they can't rely on defense the whole time."

"He's right. We've got to do something." Imperialdramon said.

"I know, but that Araquanid can jump..." Davis said, but then he realized something that might be able to help him. "Cloyster, Ice Shard once more!"

"Jump!" Keen called as Araquanid jumped up again and avoided the attack.

"I've got you now! Ice Beam right where Araquanid is going to land!" Davis called. Cloyster used the attack and froze the ground. Araquanid landed right on the ice and slipped on it.

"Look at that! Davis just used Araquanid's jumping against it!"

"Ice Shard!" Davis called. Cloyster used the attack once more and it smashed against Araquanid's head. That attack was enough to knock Araquanid out of the battle.

"Araquanid is unable to battle!"

"Davis finally beats Araquanid, but Keen still has one pokemon more than he does. It's still a good road for a comeback."

"He finally beats that Araquanid." Tetsu said as they were all glad to see that.

"He's not out of the woods yet." Cletus said. "Keen's still got four pokemon and there's no telling what they are. If they're ones Davis isn't familiar with, he's still in big trouble."

"Persian, you're up next!" Keen called as he chose his next pokemon.

"Persian!"

"Keen is now going with Persian, but that's not any Persian. It's from Alola. Persian from there are actually dark-types."

"I remember that Persian can use Fake Out, but it doesn't work if it's not the first attack used." Davis figured. "Cloyster, let Persian attack first!"

"Big mistake, Davis! One shot might be all we need! Power Gem!" Keen called. Persian fired a beam right from it's gem.

"Iron Defense!" Davis called. Cloyster hid in its shell again, but the attack still blasted against it and some serious damage was dealt.

"Now use Night Slash!" Keen called. Persian extended it's nails and went on the attack.

"Chilling Water!" Davis called. Cloyster unleashed a blast of cold water. It blasted against Persian, but Persian didn't let that stop it. Persian pushed right through the water and emerged right in front of Cloyster and slashed against it. Persian's attack knocked Cloyster right down and it was taken out.

"Cloyster is unable to battle!"

"Tough break for Davis. He now has only two pokemon left."

"It's not just that Davis isn't familiar with Keen's pokemon." Cletus claimed. "All of Keen's pokemon are quite powerful. Both of that with some unexpected attacks is a dangerous combination for Davis. On top of all that, Keen still has his Z-Moves. Keen might only be able to use one per battle, but it looks like he's waiting for the right moment to strike. He might be planning to finish Davis with a Z-Move."

"I hate to say it, but Keen's got full control of this battle." Shade said.

"Maybe, but Davis has pulled some unexpected surprises himself." Tetsu said.

"Mightyena, I choose you!" Davis called.

"Migh!"

"And Mightyena is Davis' fifth pokemon. It's a battle between dark-types now."

"A fellow dark-type isn't going to help you in this battle! Persian, Night Slash!" Keen called. Persian extended its claws again and jumped right at Mightyena.

"Don't underestimate my Mightyena! Fire Fang!" Davis called. Mightyena jumped at Persian with its fangs on fire. Mightyena was able to sink its teeth against Persian before Persian could attack with some real damage being dealt. "Nice work! Now use Iron Tail!" Mightyena swung its tail around and smashed it against Persian.

"That's not enough to beat us! Persian, Power Gem!" Keen called with Persian firing the beam from its gem again.

"Use Iron Tail to deflect it!" Davis called. Mightyena hardened its tail again and was able to smash it against Power Gem to stop it.

"Mightyena just used Iron Tail to block Power Gem! That was an ingenuous way to defend one's self!"

"Now use Dark Pulse!" Davis called. Mightyena unleashed the attack and was able to blast Persian with it. "Now finish it with Iron Tail!" Mightyena went at Persian once more and smashed its tail against Persian hard enough to knock Persian right out.

"Persian is unable to battle!"

"Keen lost his third pokemon. That leaves him with only three pokemon left. Davis is starting to make a real comeback here."

"Persian, return." Keen said as he brought Persian back. "Pretty good, Davis. You've got some good pokemon, but don't think you're the only one that can pull off a surprise. Sandslash, I choose you!"

"Sandslash!" He chose Sandslash, but there was something different about it.

"Keen now goes with Sandslash from the Alola region. In Alola, Sandslash aren't ground-types, as you can see. They are ice-types as well as steel-types."

"It's an ice-type AND a steel-type?!" Imperialdramon said.

"That's quite a combo, but if we can get in there with Fire Fang, it should deal a lot of damage. First, we need to get close enough to deal a direct hit." Davis said. "Mightyena, start by using Howl!" Mightyena unleashed a mighty howl that made it stronger.

"Mightyena uses Howl to power itself. Is Davis planning to end this in one shot?"

"You won't get the chance. Sandslash, Icicle Crash!" Keen called.

"Dodge it!" Davis called. Sandslash caused icicles to crash down, but Mightyena kept moving around the field to avoid being struck by the attack.

"Now use Metal Claw!" Keen called. As Mightyena was moving around, Sandslash was able to get at Mightyena and smashed its claw right against Mightyena.

"Fight back with Iron Tail!" Davis called. Mightyena swung its tail around and smashed it against Sandslash to create an opening. "Now use Fire Fang!" Mighyena had an opening and took it. It attacked with its fiery fangs and bit down with a small explosion going off.

"Mightyena attacked with Fire Fang! Did it deal enough damage to finish this?!" All of them thought that would do it, but the smoke cleared away and saw Sandslash was still standing with Mightyena biting down on its arm.

"Give me a break!" Davis called.

"How's this?! Use Brick Break!" Keen called. Mightyena didn't have the chance to escape. Sandslash took its spare claw and smashed it right against Mightyena with Mightyena getting the wind knocked out of it. After that, Mightyena was out in just one shot.

"Mightyena is unable to battle!"

"And down goes Mighyena. After that attack, Davis is down to just one pokemon while Keen has three." Davis brought Mightyena back to its pokeball. He's in a real situation now and is flying by the edge of his seat.

"He's only got one left. Not good." Nathan said.

"But that Fire Fang clearly caused a lot of damage. Sandslash might not be able to battle that much longer." Tetsu said.

"It's do or die for Davis here, but Imperialdramon is his toughest pokemon." Cletus said.

"Are you ready? It's all up to you now." Davis said.

"And I'm gonna win it." Imperialdramon claimed as he walked out on the field.

"Davis' last pokemon is Imperialdramon. Can Imperialdramon defeat all three of Keen's remaining pokemon?"

"Let's find out! Sandslash, Icicle Crash!" Keen called.

"No you don't! Dragon Pulse!" Davis called. Imperialdramon attacked faster than Sandslash could. Imperialdramon unleashed a dragon blast and hit Sandslash with it. Since Sandslash already took a lot of damage from its attack, it was knocked out just like that.

"Sandslash is unable to battle!"

"Sandslash is already beaten! It must have taken too much damage in its battle with Mightyena. Keen is now down to just two pokemon."

"Sandslash, return. I knew it would go like that." Keen said as Sandslash was brought back in its pokeball. "Of course, I got another pokemon that can help with it. Goodra, let's go!"

"Goodra!"

"Keen's fifth pokemon is Goodra!"

"Goodra... It's a fellow dragon-type. This could be a problem if Goodra's dragon-type attacks work." Cletus said. "Davis has got to be careful with what he does here."

"Let's add a little change to the weather. Goodra, Rain Dance!" Keen called. Goodra called upon its power and caused a large rain cloud to form right over them and rain came down around them.

"It's raining in the stadium. How is this going to affect the battle?"

"Like this! Goodra, Thunder!" Keen called. Goodra caused an intense blast of electricity to come down right on Imperialdramon. Imperialdramon was getting electrocuted hard and the blast felt intense. It was hard for him to endure it.

"Of course! That's why he used Rain Dance!" Shade said. "The water from the rain is making that Thunder even stronger."

"And it will surely make water-type moves stronger." Tetsu said.

"Now use Aqua Tail!" Keen called. Goodra had water surround its tail and it whipped it around to smash it against Imperialdramon. The attack knocked Imperialdramon away with him smashing against the wall.

"Rain Dance has made that Aqua Tail stronger as well. Imperialdramon could be in real trouble with this one."

"We've got to fight back! Dragon Pulse!" Davis said. Imperialdramon kicked off the wall and flew up in the air as it used the attack.

"You use Dragon Pulse too!" Keen ordered. Goodra used Dragon pulse as well with the two of them blasting against each other and cancelling each other out.

"Now use Focus Punch!" Davis called. Imperialdramon focused his energy into his fist and flew straight down with Imperialdramon smashing its fist against Goodra's head. "That's the way! Focus Punch again!" He called as Imperialdramon used the attack against Goodra again.

"Goodra, Aqua Tail!" Tetsu called. Goodra swung its tail around, but Imperialdramon flew away before the attack could hit.

"For a big pokemon, Imperialdramon is quick on its feet!"

"Use Thunder instead! They can't dodge that!" Keen called. Goodra used the attack again and it managed to hit Imperialdramon, but Imperialdramon was doing its best to endure the attack.

"You're going to need more power than that!" Imperialdramon said as he was able to push the attack away. It was unbelievable Imperialdramon could resist an intense attack like that.

"That's the way! Now use Dragon Rush!" Davis called. Imperialdramon coated itself in dragon energy and flew straight down with it crashing into Goodra with a large explosion going off. That was right when the rain stopped and cleared away with Goodra being taken out of the battle.

"Goodra is unable to battle!"

"Amazing! Imperialdramon resisted some powerful attacks and has even the score! Davis is making a real comeback now! Both sides are down to only one pokemon."

"Yes! He's evened it out! All Keen's got is Zorua now!" Tetsu said. "Against a large opponent like Imperialdramon, I don't see how Zorua can win."

"Maybe, but Imperialdramon has taken some serious damage from it's battle with Goodra." Shade said.

"But Zorua is a dark-type. If Imperialdramon can get in there with Brick Break or Focus Punch, they still have a chance to win this." Cletus said.

"We'll have a winner soon enough." Nathan said as they were all getting a little anxious about the outcome.

"Well, it's all up to you now little buddy." Keen said.

"Arr!" Zorua ran out on the field and seemed ready for battle.

"Zorua is Keen's last pokemon, but will it be able to defeat the likes of Imperialdramon?"

"Sorry, but we're the ones that are winning. Imperialdramon, finish this right here with Brick Break!" Davis called. Imperialdramon went straight at Zorua and tried to end the battle there, but Zorua jumped out of the way and was able to avoid the attack.

"Good move, Zorua! Stay on your toes!" Keen said. "Now, let's use Shadow Claw!" Zorua jumped right at Imperialdramon and slashed a claw against Imperialdramon.

"Try Brick Break again!" Davis said.

"Don't let Imperialdramon catch you!" Keen called. Imperialdramon tried going at Zorua, but Zorua kept running around and climbing on Imperialdramon.

"Hey! Come here you little!" Imperialdramon called as he tried to catch Zorua, but Zorua kept moving around and he couldn't get a hold of it.

"Good, Zorua! Now use Shadow Claw once more!" Keen called. Zorua jumped at Imperialdramon's face and slashed against him.

"Aw! You little...!" Imperialdramon complained.

"Don't worry about that. Blast it with Dragon Pulse!" Davis called. Imperialdramon fired the dragon blast and it managed to hit Zorua with Zorua being knocked into the air.

"Use Copycat!" Keen called. Zorua landed on its feet and copied Imperialdramon's Dragon Pulse. Zorua fired its own blast and managed to hit Imperialdramon with it. For a little guy, it's got some power.

"Zorua copied Imperialdramon's Dragon Pulse. With Imperialdramon already taking a log of damage in its battle against Goodra, can it hold on much longer?"

"Keep the attacks going! Fury Swipes!" Keen called. Zorua went at Imperialdramon to try scratching against him.

"Up!" Davis called with Imperialdramon flying straight up and avoiding Zorua's attack. "Now use Brick Break!"

"Dodge it!" Keen called. Imperialdramon came straight down at Zorua to strike it, but Zorua was able to jump out of the way as he crashed down. Zorua is just so fast and nimble that Imperialdramon can't get a good hit in. "Now use Shadow Claw!" Zorua jumped at Imperialdramon to attack him again, but Imperialdramon was ready for it this time. It grabbed a hold of Zoura and was able to stop it.

"Now I have you." Imperialdramon claimed as Zorua couldn't get out of his hold.

"Imperialdramon managed to catch Zorua. It doesn't look like Zorua can get out there."

"We have them now! Focus Punch!" Davis called. Imperialdramon threw Zorua up and smashed its fist against Zorua with Zorua taking a lot of damage. Zorua slid against the ground and had trouble getting back up.

"That looked like a critical hit. Could this be the end of the battle right here?"

"Yeah! We've got this!" Davis called.

"No! Zorua, you need to get up! I know you can!" Keen encouraged. "We've come so far! I know you have it in you!" Zorua was trying to get up, but a lot of people thought this battle was over. However, that was right when something happened with Zorua glowing. No one expected that.

"No way!" Davis said.

"Is that what I think it is?!" Imperialdramon said as this could be trouble for them. Zorua grew and was standing on two legs with some hair growing. Zorua was evolving and evolved into Zoroark.

"Zo!"

"Zorua! You evolved! You're Zoroark now!" Keen said with excitement. Zorua was now Zoroak. This changes the tide of the battle.

Just when it seemed like Davis was about to claim victory and enter the finals, Zorua has now become Zoroark. With this sudden evolution, how is this battle going to playout now? You don't want to miss how this exciting battle is going to end.
