Davis has decided to take on Pokemon Grand Orientation in a series of islands called the Galore Islands. Of course, he'll have to register first.
"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" Davis repeated.
"Will you quit sounding like a child?!" Tetsu said with annoyance. "If we were there, do you really think we would still be on the boat?"
"Well, I want to register and start battling." Davis said as he was getting a little impatient.
"You might get your chance sooner than you think." Cletus said. "Look up ahead! The first island is coming into view." All of them looked ahead and could it right before them. The first island of the Galore Islands was coming up. "That's Spring Island! It's called that because it's like the spring season all year long, plus the mountain spring water from it is incredibly fresh."
"Awesome! Our first stop in the Galore Islands." Davis said as he couldn't wait to see what's next.

(Davis' voice) Dry as Spring
Their boat soon arrived at the island and the island was quite a large one considering their was a mountain on it. It was also big enough for a town and people live on. As soon as the boat docked, Davis and the others got off and had a look around the island.
"Professor Maple said I have to register at the first center I come across. Does this town have one?" Davis questioned.
"It sure does. It's just down this road." Cletus said as they walked down the street, but Imperialdramon noticed that something was off. He looked around and saw people were miserable and unhappy.
"Does anyone else notice something off?" Imperialdramon questioned. "It looks like the people aren't happy?"
"They're not?" Tetsu questioned as he looked around and noticed the same thing. "You're right."
"Maybe it's just a gloomy day. I'm sure everything is fine." Davis assured as he thought everything was fine, but the others weren't so sure about that. Still, Davis and the others just kept going until they arrived at the Pokemon Center. "Hello, Nurse Joy."
"Hi, and welcome to the Pokemon Center." Nurse Joy said. "Is there something I can help you with?"
"Hold that thought. I'm just going to grab some water. I want to see if the water here is really all that." Tetsu said as he went on over to a water fountain.
"Uh... Wait just a minute, sir." Nurse Joy said as she tried to tell him something, but Tetsu was already at the fountain. He tried to have some, but not very much water came in no matter how hard he pressed the button.
"What the heck? Why isn't there any water?" Tetsu questioned.
"That's what I was trying to tell you earlier." Nurse Joy said. "Our island seems to be suffering from a drought."
"A drought? What do you mean?" Davis questioned.
"Our island is known for it's refreshing mountain spring water. We managed to have it flow through to our little town, but it's not flowing in as much anymore." Nurse Joy said.
"How can an island be having a drought when you're surrounded by water?" Imperialdramon questioned.
"That's all salt water, Imperialdramon." Cletus explained. "It's different from spring water since spring water is also fresh water. Salt water isn't very good for people to drink or such, and it's not really easy to convert salt water into water that's safe for people to use. If this island is suffering from a drought, it means there's a problem with the spring where this town gets all the safe water to use."
"How long has this been going on?" Davis questioned.
"A couple days." Nurse Joy said. "Very little water is coming in and we're all trying to conserve water until we know what the problem is, but we don't know what that could be."
"How does the water usually flow into town?" Tetsu questioned.
"There's a reservoir that's been placed on the other side of the island. People are searching to see if there's a problem there, but nothing has been found yet." Nurse Joy said.
"Maybe we should go and take a look for ourselves." Cletus suggested. "If this island is really suffering from a drought, it could be looking at some serious situations."
"You're probably right. Maybe we can find the problem." Davis said as they all agreed that this needed their attention.
...
The Reservoir
Davis and the others went on down to the reservoir to see if they could find the problem and bring some water back into the town. When they got there, they saw that the water level was low and it didn't look good.
"No wonder they're having a drought. The water is pretty low." Cletus said.
"What could the problem be? You think there's a leak?" Davis questioned.
"If it was just that, it wouldn't be this bad." Cletus said. "There has to be another cause, something much bigger. They have also yet to find the problem like Nurse Joy said."
"What if the problem is really where the water flows in from?" Tetsu figured.
"That's not a bad idea. Let's see if we can find where the water is flowing in from." Cletus said as they thought they should check it out. All of them tried following the water back to the source. The water flowed in through the woods and came from the mountain. However, they found the stream it's suppose to come from and it was pretty shallow. "Here's the stream, but why is there so little water?"
"You were right, Tetsu. There has to be a problem from where the water flows in from." Imperialdramon said.
"And I think we'll find the cause if we follow the stream." Davis said. Once they saw the water wasn't really flowing in, they went further up to see what was the cause of all of this.
...
The Woods
Seeing the water wasn't flowing in, the group went further up and into the woods to try and find the cause of the drought. Water wasn't flowing in as much, but they had to be getting closer. As they moved further and further up the stream, a strange noise started to be heard.
"Hey. Does anyone else here that?" Davis questioned. They all took a moment and could hear it.
"Yeah. It almost sounds like someone snoring." Tetsu said.
"Wait... That is snoring!" Cletus confirmed as they all could hear there was snoring going on.
"Hang on. I can also hear something that sounds like water running." Imperialdramon said as they all noticed it. "It sounds like it's just up ahead." They all followed the snoring and the sound of running water until they could see it. They could see the problem right before their eyes, the cause of the drought and the sounds, and it was huge.
"Look at that!" Davis said as they all saw a Snorlax, and it was sleeping right in the middle of the stream.
"It's a Snorlax! That's the sound of the snoring!" Tetsu said.
"And take a look there!" Tetsu said as he pointed to the water leaking through Snorlax. "Snorlax is sleeping right in the middle of the stream. That's why there isn't much water flowing to the reservoir and the town is suffering for it. Snorlax is blocking the channel and not much water can get through."
"So all this time it was just this Snorlax blocking the water. That's probably the mother of all clogs." Tetsu said.
"Why would Snorlax be sleeping in the middle of the stream like that?" Imperialdramon questioned.
"I don't know. Maybe it's relaxing." Davis said. "Either way, we need to get this big guy out of the way so the town can get some of it's water back." He said as he walked right over to try and get Snorlax up. "Hey! Mr. Snore! You need to get up and move!" He said as he tried pushing against Snorlax, but Snorlax wouldn't even budge. Davis just kept pushing until his feet lost ground and he dropped to the ground.
"Move over. This is a job for a mon." Imperialdramon said as he tried pushing Snorlax out of the way, but he wasn't doing any better either.
"Too bad there's no mon to help." Davis teased.
"Snorlax is considered the heaviest pokemon." Cletus said as this was a problem.
"Yeah. You need a crane powered by a rocket to lift that pokemon." Tetsu said.
"If Snorlax is just sleeping, let's try waking it up." Imperialdramon suggested.
"That won't be easy. I don't think a stampede could wake Snorlax." Tetsu said.
"So, how are we going to move it and get the water flowing again?" Tetsu questioned as they have quite a predicament.
"Okay, I know what to do." Davis said as he reached for a pokeball. "If we catch it, even if Snorlax breaks free, it will get it to move." That sounded like a good idea to do. "Go, pokeball!" He threw the pokeball and Snorlax went right inside with the water starting to flow again. However, Snorlax instantly broke free and was back in the stream. "No way! It's sleeping, but it broke out like it was nothing!"
"That Snorlax must be tougher than it looks, and it looks pretty tough right now." Cletus said.
"Hold on. Maybe we can tempt Snorlax into waking up. The only thing Snorlax loves more than sleeping is eating." Tetsu said as they could all see where this might be going. What they did was found some fruit and used a pole to hold it right over Snorlax. They were trying to get Snorlax to move using food.
"This might work, Tetsu." Imperialdramon said as they had food right next to Snorlax's face. They thought it was going to work, but Snorlax ate the food and swallowed it all in an instant while it was sleeping. "What the heck?!"
"So much for that idea. Maybe we should hold it a little higher?" Davis questioned.
"I don't think that would work." Cletus said. This is not good. They can't seem to get that Snorlax to move and they're running out of ideas.
"Well, I say we just wake Snorlax right up." Imperialdramon said as he popped his knuckles. "I don't like to do this, but we don't have a choice."
"What are you going to do?" Davis questioned. What Imperialdramon did was fly straight up in the air and was coming straight down with Brick Break. Imperialdramon smashed his arm right against Snorlax and that looked like it had some weight behind it. It might have done some damage, but it didn't bother Snorlax at all. It was still sleeping. "That Snorlax is not just heavy! It's got to be the heaviest sleeper ever!"
"If that didn't wake Snorlax up, I don't know what will." Tetsu said.
"We can't just give up. There has to be a way." Cletus said. "If we don't get that Snorlax to move, the town is going to be in big trouble." They all need to put their heads together and think. They were all trying to come up with ways to move Snorlax, but that was when something was happening.
"Maybe we could get the town to come up and help us. We could all move Snorlax." Davis said.
"We could try digging a path around Snorlax." Tetsu said.
"Not necessary if we can just get Snorlax to wake up." Cletus said. While they were all talking, Snorlax actually got up and moved on it's own.
"Uh... Guys..." Imperialdramon said with him pointing the way. All of them noticed Snorlax moving on it's own as it climbed out of the stream and was moving away from it. That caused the water to start flowing once again.
"Snorlax." Snorlax even waved at them as it just walked away. The water was flowing again and that's good, but the four of them were baffled about what just happened.
"Or we could do nothing and just let Snorlax go on it's own." Davis said.
"That's anticlimactic." Tetsu said as it was rare for the problem to be solved on it's own for them. Seems like all this was just luck and nothing more.
...
The Town
Fresh water started to flow into town again and everyone loved it. They had all they needed for drinks, plants, and more. It looked like things were getting back on track for them. Once the problem solved itself, Davis and the others went back to the Pokemon Center and explained Nurse Joy what happened.
"It was a Snorlax the whole time and it woke up on it's own? Imagine that." Nurse Joy said as she found that amusing. "Either way, what really matters is that we have water flowing in again."
"I guess so. Anyway, I need your help, Nurse Joy. I want to try the Pokemon Grand Orientation challenge. Can you get me registered?" Davis asked.
"Sure. Just let me see your pokedex." Nurse Joy said. Davis handed it over and she used it to input all the data for it. "There we go, and here." She said as he handed him a small square case. "This case can be used to carry your Gem Passes."
"Thanks, Nurse Joy." Davis said as he took his stuff back. "Do you know where the nearest facility is?"
"I do. It's on the next island called Trofa Island." Nurse Joy said.
"That's great. We're already so close to one." Tetsu said.
"Trofa Island... I can't wait!" Davis said as his first challenge is just ahead.
Problems seem to have a way of figuring out how to solve themselves. If it works, it works. Now, Davis' first challenge in Pokemon Grand Orientation won't be long now. What kind of other adventures will our heroes get in during their travels through the Galore Islands? Stay tuned...
