Arriving in the Galore Islands, Davis has himself registered for Pokemon Grand Orientation. Now that he has, he's already one his way to Troja Island for his first challenge, and that island is coming up.

"There it is!" Cletus called as they could see Troja Island just up ahead. "That's Troja Island."

"And that's where my first challenge in Pokemon Grand Orientation awaits." Davis said. "I feel like nothing can stop me now!" He called, but it looks like he jinxed himself as the ship they were on came to a stop. "Hey! I just said nothing could stop me now! Why are we stopping?"

"I think it might have something to do with that." Tetsu said as they all spotted something in the water, and there was a lot of them. They were also quite large.

"They're all Wailord!" Cletus said.

"Wailord?! Talk about a whale of a time." Davis said as he thinks this might be a problem.

(Davis' voice) Still on the Water

"Wailord, the Float Whale Pokemon. A water-type, and the evolve form of Wailmer. Not only is it considered the largest pokemon in the world, but it's quite popular that watching this pokemon has become a favorable sightseeing activity."

"Wow... The largest pokemon in the word." Imperialdramon said.

"And just look at how many of them there are." Davis said as they were all amazed by the number of the Wailord.

"But what are they all doing just sitting in the middle of the ocean like that?" Tetsu questioned.

"I'm not sure. As long as they're like that, the ship isn't able to move." Cletus said.

"No fair! Troja Island is right there!" Davis said. "Can't they just move around the Wailord?"

"Attention! We are sorry for the inconvenience, but I'm afraid we have to anchor down for a while. In the meantime, please enjoy the lovely sight of the Wailord." The captain announced. That wasn't what Davis wanted to hear.

"Oh man. How long are we going to be stuck like this?" Davis complained.

"Don't be a baby about this. At least we get to see these awesome pokemon." Tetsu said as he didn't mind the Wailord.

"But what are they even doing? They're not moving or doing anything." Cletus said as this seemed unusual. "They don't appear to be hurt. Do you think maybe there's a problem?"

"I don't know, but I'm sure it's nothing. Let's just relax while we're here. I'm sure this whole thing will blow over soon." Tetsu said. That's what he thought, but it looks like he was wrong about that.

...

Later

A couple hours passed and the Wailord still haven't moved. It was starting to get boring and people aren't liking it anymore. Davis explored around the ship and there wasn't much fun for him.

"Are the Wailord still there? Why haven't they moved or anything?" Davis complained as he was starting to get a little impatient.

"Seriously? Have they moved yet? This is getting boring." Imperialdramon said as he was sick as well as just sitting around. The island they want to be on is just on the other side and they want to get to it.

"Not yet. It is rather weird." Cletus said. "Let's go take another look. Maybe we can see what the problem." Cletus said as they headed for the front of the ship and look at the Wailord again. When they got there, they spotted someone studying them. It looked like a man in beige pants with a buttoned shirt with brown hair and a beard. "Uh... Hello there."

"Huh? Oh, hi. Can I help you with something?" The man asked.

"What are you doing?" Davis questioned.

"Studying the Wailord." The man said. "Wailord are some of my favorite pokemon to study."

"Study? Are you a professor or something?" Imperialdramon questioned.

"Let me introduce myself. My name is Nikolai. I'm actually a marine biologist."

"A marine biologist?" Davis questioned.

"They're people who study the sea and the life that lives in it." Cletus said. "It's nice to me you. I'm Cletus, and these two are Davis and Imperialdramon. So, have you been studying the Wailord this whole time?"

"Yes, and I'm quite fortunate this happened and the ship hasn't moved yet." Nikolai claimed. "This gives me a great opportunity to study Wailord this close."

"Well, can your studies tell us why they aren't moving?" Davis questioned.

"This is rather unusual behavior for the Wailord. There must be something that's keeping them where they are, but I haven't found anything." Nikolai said. "Something is going on, but I'm not sure. Hopefully, this is the worst of it." He claimed, but that's not how it goes.

...

Tetsu

Tetsu was exploring the ship himself and tried to find ways to pass time, but a stalled ship can test a person's patience. As he was walking, he overheard some people talking and it sounded like some people were rather upset.

"I can't take this. We're all waiting here just to wait for some Wailord to move."

"The captain said there's not much they can do at the moment. If we try to go around, we'll have trouble docking."

"In that case, we'll force the Wailord to move ourselves. I'm sick around here." People are getting frustrated waiting for the Wailord to move and it sounds like they're going to take matters into their own hands. Tetsu doesn't like the sound of that.

...

Davis' Group

"I overheard some of the passengers talking." Tetsu said as he met with the others and Nikolai, warning them of the problem. "They're all getting frustrated and impatient. I think they're planning to attack the Wailord and get them to move."

"They can't do that. I'm sure the Wailord have a good reason for this." Cletus said.

"If they attack the Wailord, the Wailord could attack back. That would make the situation a whole lot worse." Tetsu said. "We can't let this happen. We've got to do something."

"But people are getting frustrated because we're not moving, and we can't move because of the Wailord." Cletus said. "What can we do?"

"Your friend has a point. Attacking the Wailord out of rage is not good at all, especially if they're completely innocent in this." Nikolai claimed. "If that happens, both sides could get hurt. The ship could even get wrecked and sink. We must prevent that from happening."

"Nikolai, you're the one who studies sea life and loves studying Wailord. Isn't there any thing you can tell us?" Davis asked.

"As near as I can tell, there must be something going on underneath the water, possibly right underneath the Wailord." Nikolai figured. "If only I can see what's going on down there, but the captain advice us to remain on the ship."

"We might not be able to go in the water, but I have a couple friends that could." Tetsu said as he hurried over to the side of the ship with his pokeballs. "Feraligatr and Tentacool, come out and help us out!" He called as he released both of his pokemon and they dived under the water.

"Tentacool!"

"Feraligatr!"

"Listen! I need the two of you to dive under the Wailord and see if you find anything out of the ordinary! Find anything that can tell us why the Wailord won't move!" Tetsu called. Both of them understood and dived right under the water. Both pokemon swam towards the Wailord and it seemed like the Wailord didn't noticed them. The two of them were able to make it under the Wailord without any problems. Once they did, they looked around like Tetsu said. It didn't look like there was anything too strange and they haven't found a reason as to why the Wailord aren't moving. They didn't find anything until Feraligatr did spot something peculiar. Feraligatr took a closer look and they looked like...eggs! Upon seeing that, Feraligatr and Tentacool hurried back to the ship.

"Eggs?! There are eggs under there?!" Imperialdramon said as both pokemon told what happened and Imperialdramon translated.

"Eggs?! Are you serious?!" Davis said as they were all surprised to hear about that.

"Now I get it. This must be the Wailord's breeding grounds." Nikolai said. "They must be trying to prevent boats and such from passing by to try and protect them."

"And if the passengers attack the Wailord, it could be bad for the eggs. They could get damaged or worse." Cletus said as none of them like the sound of that. Sadly, it was too late. They could hear that a mob has formed and they were planning on forcing the Wailord to move. Hearing that going on, Davis and the others hurried as fast as they could to the front of the ship.

"Hold on, people!" Davis called.

"What seems to be the problem here?" Nikolai asked.

"We want those Wailord to move out of the way so the ship can dock and we can get off of here!" One of them called as they were all agreeing with him.

"But you can't attack them! There's a reason for this! Besides, it's only been a couple hours. It couldn't be that bad." Tetsu said.

"I don't care for the reason! They're not doing anything and they're not in pain, but they will be if they don't move!"

"We're clearly not dealing with a patient set of people." Cletus said as this was turning ugly fast.

"Let's get the Wailord to move!" A bunch of them released a series of pokemon and they all ordered their pokemon to attack the Wailord.

"Imperialdramon, use Dragon Rush and intercept those attacks!" Davis ordered.

"I'm on it!" Imperialdramon said. He coated himself in dragon energy and flew around the ship at great speed and tried blocking out every attack he could so the Wailord don't get hurt. He managed to block each one, but he took some heavy damage from them.

"That was good, but I'm not sure how much more of that Imperialdramon can take." Cletus said.

"Everyone, please calm down and listen." Nikolai pleaded, but none of them seemed like they were willing to listen. They just want to get the boat moving again. "What are we going to do? A variety of attacks like that could damage the eggs, and the current could carry them away."

"We better think of something and fast." Davis said as this could easily turn ugly. Imperialdramon readied himself for another assault, but he then noticed something in the water. It was some sort of light.

"Hey! There's some sort of light in the water!" Imperialdramon called. That got them all to settle for a moment. It turned out the light was the eggs and they were all hatching. As soon as they hatch, Wailmer emerged out of the water and they all looked so happy with how they were splashing around. Seeing the Wailmer hatch caused the Wailord to be really happy as they spurt water out of themselves, and all that water created a rainbow.

"Amazing!" Davis said.

"Beautiful!" Tetsu said as it seems to have gotten the people to settle down. At least something good came out of all that waiting and it seemed like it was worth it.

...

Later

Once the Wailmer hatched, the Wailmer and Wailord started to move and it cleared the way for the ship to move and got people to settle down. As the sun was starting to set, Davis and the others saw all the Wailord and Wailmer swim away and enjoyed the sight.

"I'm glad things went the way they did." Tetsu said. "People get so frustrated and impatient so easily. At least the Wailord didn't get hurt."

"And now the ship can dock and I can take on my first challenge in Pokemon Grand Orientation." Davis said as he was glad he was back on track.

"You're trying out for Pokemon Grand Orientation, Davis? That means you're taking on the facility on Troja Island." Nikolai claimed. "In that case, you should probably know that you need water-types to take it on. They're the only pokemon you can battle with there."

"Only water-types? How come?" Davis questioned.

"I heard that each facility holds a different kind of challenge besides normal battling. The one on Troja issues a challenge where you can only use water-types." Nikolai claimed and that was good to know.

"So, I can only use water-types at this one. Well, that is just fine with me." Davis said as he doesn't mind what challenge he has to take on. He still plans to win.

After enduring a test of patience with the end result being something great. Now, Davis' first challenge in Pokemon Grand Orientation awaits him. What kind of challenge will he face? We'll see soon enough.
