"Any luck finding Kara?" Alex asked Vasquez as she entered the control room.

"Not so far, and her phone isn't showing up either."

"Based on how mad she was last night it may not have survived." Alex said.

"But," Vasquez said with a tone that Alex dreaded. "Her phone was on an hour ago and it was in one of Tycho's buildings."

"What?" Alex asked.

"I checked with CatCo and she had an interview with Ms Thorn, Tycho's assistant."

"What the hell was she thinking? Get a team down there."

"Already arrived. No sign of Kara."

"Wait, we have something." Rose called.

"What?"

"Her phone just turned on, can't track it yet, but it has signal."

"Call it." Alex said.

"You don't want to?" Vasquez asked.

"She may not answer if it is me." Alex pointed it.

"It rang out, trying again." Rose said.

This time after three rings the phone was answered and Kara ground out.

"Alex."

For a moment no one could figure out if Kara was mad or in pain but after a moment she said.

"Help."

"Kara, what's wrong?" Alex asked.

"I don't know. Hurts." Kara said.

"Get a location and get a squad to it." Alex barked at Rose.

"Help is coming." Alex assured her sister. "What happened?"

"Went to see her, wanted it to end."

"Who?" Alex asked lost.

"Tho- Thorn. She- gas. Hurts." Kara said.

"Where are you?"

"Dark."

"Alex, our radio comms are down." Vasquez said.

"You sure?"

"I can't reach any of our deployed units, I'm about to call them using their cell phones, but if they are jamming our radios this could be bigger than we fear."

"You still with me Kara?" Alex asked, trying to remain calm.

"Like before." Kara groaned.

"What is? Talk to me." Alex said as MJ ran towards the control room.

"Mom!" MJ called.

"MJ, you can't be here." Alex snapped when she heard her son in the corridor, but as he forced his way into the control room she saw how bruised he was and asked. "What's happened?"

"Lobo took Alex. I tried to stop him but-"

"Find Lobo." Alex ordered one of the Agents as she heard her sister's voice on the radio.

"What does he mean took Alex?"

"We'll find her." Alex said. "You need to focus on staying alive." She then looked to Vasquez and was about to speak when another voice came over the phone.

"Hope you said your goodbyes." The male voice said just before the line went dead.

"Kara!" Alex called.

"The signal has gone." Rose said.

"Find them, use whatever you need." Alex said. "I'll be right back." She then led MJ to the infirmary as they walked she asked. "How badly hurt are you?"

"I'm okay, you need to find Alex."

"We will. What did Lobo say?"

"That he wanted Alex. I tried to stop him, but he just knocked me down." He said before asking. "What's wrong with aunt Kara?"

"Right now we need to worry about you." Alex said leading him over to a scanner.

"I'm sorry." He said.

"For what?"

"I tried to stop him, but I couldn't and now he has Alex and-"

"MJ, there was nothing you could have done." Alex said hugging him, but as he gasped in pain she quickly released him and asked. "What's wrong?"

"He kinda trod on my ribs." MJ said.

"Let's see the damage." Alex said putting him in the scanner.

"Ma'am." Rose said entering the infirmary.

"Yes." Alex said turning.

"Lobo has left orbit."

"For where?"

"We don't know for sure. We are trying to track him but we think we will loose contact in under five minutes. But our radios are working again."

"Get J'onn to pursue Lobo."

"Yes ma'am."

"Anything more from Supergirl?"

"Nothing." Rose said.

"I'll be out in a minute." Alex said before looking at the scans. She then looked at her son.

"You are very lucky. You have some cracked ribs and your wrist has a hair line fracture. Did your head get hit?"

"No, I'm fine, just find Alex."

"J'onn?" Alex asked confused as her mentor came into the DEO thirty minutes later. "I thought you were going to follow Lobo?"

"I was. But some one had sabotaged my ship, I don't even know how to start repairing it."

"We can use Kara's ship."

"Any idea where the key is?" J'onn asked.

"No. Kara moved it somewhere safe and I wasn't really listening." Alex confessed.

"Ma'am, we have an idea." Keane said.

"What is it?" Alex asked waking over to them.

"That call from Supergirl was way too sloppy. Why let her have a phone unless they wanted her to contact us."

"Why would they want that?" Alex asked.

"So we would know she was in danger." Cork said.

"How does that help them?" J'onn asked lost.

"Because whenever something happens with Supergirl you move the kids to Lena's lab." Ruby said to Alex.

"So you think they want us to do that so they can grab Alex?" The DEO Director asked.

"There's a chance whoever has Supergirl doesn't know Alex has been taken. And seeing Lobo is meant to be protecting Alex, there is a chance, whoever took Supergirl planned to also take Alex and that is why he took her." Cork argued.

"And?"

"Well, if they don't know Alex has been taken, J'onn could pose as Alex, get kidnapped and lead us to Supergirl."

"It's too risky." Alex said. "If they are using the chemical that was stolen it will effect J'onn as well."

"I'm prepared to take the risk." J'onn said from the doorway.

"If they are using the chemical, are you going to be able to maintain your form as Alex?"

"I don't know, but right now we don't have many options. Besides all I need do is maintain it until I find Kara." Seeing Alex's hesitancy he said. "Can we talk in private?"

"Sure." Alex said walking out of the room with J'onn. When they were in the corridor J'onn, not knowing MJ was round the corner, said.

"It's not like you to doubt yourself."

"I know. But if this is what we think it is Kara is in serious trouble. And even if it isn't if something happens to Alex, that will kill her. We need to make the right call."

"I know. And I trust your instinct."

"I don't."

"This is because of what happened with MJ isn't it?" J'onn asked.

"I missed all the signs. Where was my instinct then?" Alex countered.

"It is easy to be blinded by what's in front of you." J'onn sympathised. "But right now Kara needs the real you, not the you full of doubt. You need to forget everything that has happened and focus on now."

"What if I can't?" Alex asked.

"You can." J'onn said. "Just close your eyes, take a breath and find your centre."

Obediently Alex shut her eyes and took some calming breaths. Finally she opened her eyes again and said.

"Do it."

"Okay the package has been picked up and in on the way to the lab. It has one car trailing behind as normal." Cork reported as they monitored the screens.

"Any sign it is being followed?" Alex asked.

"Not yet. We have surveillance set up, but nothing is standing out so far. But we wouldn't expect it to." Cork said.

"I thought you were sure this is a trap." Alex said looking at Cork.

"Yes ma'am. It is. Probably. But this isn't where we'd do it. We think after this point on the route they will act."

"Why?" Alex said. "Surely that part of the route is more vulnerable." She said pointing to a different part of the map.

"It is. But we know that so if we were worried we'd set up extra precautions there. These guys are like super organised, they wouldn't want to change their plans, which if they were planning on acting at that point and we set up extra security at that point, they would have to. Hence we think this part. It's not as vulnerable, but still plenty of weaknesses. Plus they know Supergirl won't be an issue so they don't need a spot she will find it hard to access."

"At this stage it doesn't really matter." Vasquez said. "I mean we aren't trying to stop it. But just try not to get too impatient." She added looking at Alex.

"Easier said than done." Alex said pacing.

"Don't you think you should not be using your leg?" Vasquez asked, but the glare from Alex made her drop the subject. "Well I am going to look at what your mother told us and work on reversing the effects of that chemical."

As Vasquez walked off Alex watched the screen conflicted over whether or not she wanted there to be a kidnapping.

"Ruby." She called over.

"Yes boss." Ruby said walking to her.

"When they make their move I want you to run the counter op."

"Me? Why?"

"We need it to look real. Easiest way to do that is follow protocol, you know them."

"Yeah, but don't you want to do this?"

"Right now I know I am not thinking straight." Alex said.

"Okay." Ruby said looking worried.

"You can do this." Alex said.

"Okay." Ruby repeated as she started to mentally list the protocols. She didn't have to dwell for too long though as a few minutes later they received an SOS from the SUV.

"Send back up." Ruby ordered. "Send Alpha and Bravo team to block escape routes on the North side."

"Yes Ma'am." Cork said.

"We have CCTV footage." Rose said pulling it up.

On the screen they saw a flipped SUV.

"What the hell did they do?" Rose asked. "That could have killed everyone in it."

"They probably don't care. I mean if they know who Alex is they'll know she won't be hurt by that." Cork said.

"But our guys can so get a medical evac team there now." Ruby ordered.

"They are en-route, there in five minutes." Rose reported.

"Ma'am they have taken the package." Cork reported as they watched the teenage 'Alex' being bundled into a van.

"How did they sedate her?" Keane asked.

"What?" The older Alex asked.

"I know right now there are more pressing issues. But J'onn was pretending to be Alex who would have fought back, unless she couldn't. So she must have been sedated. How?"

"When our team get there, get them to do a full chemical analysis." Alex ordered.

"The van is on the move." Ruby said.

"Track it." Alex ordered. "But remember they need to believe they've shaken us."

00

"As agreed." Lobo said tossing the teenage Alex to the ground. "Payment better be with me." With that he turned.

"She was to be unharmed." The man said.

"She is. Kind of. She's alive anyway." Lobo shrugged leaving. As he walked out he walked past the older woman he added. "She might be ticked."

"Alex?" The woman said approaching the teenager who lay motionless on the floor. Getting no response she looked at one of the men in the room and said. "Take her to the infirmary."
