Our heroes have finally arrived on Starli Island, where Davis wishes to win his last challenge in Pokemon Grand Orientation. It's certainly a beautiful island, but Davis is only interested in the challenge.
"Where is it?! Where is it?!" Davis said as he's running through the streets and trying to find the site for his last challenge.
"Calm down, Davis! According to the map, it should be just down the road!" Cletus said. That just made Davis run even faster.
"We're so close!" Imperialdramon said as he was excited.
"Time for a battle!" Davis said as he thought he made it, but something else was going on instead. What he saw was a Metagross doing some juggling while a Hariyama was waving a sign around.
"Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! Come and stay at the Starlight Sky Hotel! It's rated four stars!" The manager called as he was doing some advertisement for a fancy hotel. The manager was dressed in a nice suit with brown hair parted to the right. "We've got great food, a hot spring, and tons of amazing views!" Davis was expecting something other than this.
"This doesn't look like a place for battle in the Pokemon Grand Orientation. We must have the wrong place." Davis said as he was ready to leave.
"And if you're taking part in the Pokemon Grand Orientation, you can stay for free because I happen to be the one you battle!" The manager called as Davis couldn't believe it. This was the place for his last challenge.

(Davis' voice) Resort Battle
"Excuse me!" Davis said as he and his friends made their way up to the manager. "Did you just say this hotel itself is the site for Pokemon Grand Orientation? Is this really one of the facilities?"
"That's right. I happen to be the manger, as well as the one trainers battle. My name is Eugene. Are you by any chance a challenger?"
"That's right! Check it out!" Davis said as he took out his case and showed his three passes. "I managed to battle and take on the other three! I only have one more to go! By the way, my name is Davis."
"Well, I welcome you, Davis. Since you're taking part in Pokemon Grand Orientation, you and your friends get to stay here for one night for free." Eugene said.
"A free night at a hotel like this?! Davis, I knew you were good for something!" Tetsu said, but Davis was annoyed with the comment.
"Here's how my challenge works. It's rather simple actually. It's a double battle where I will be using Hariyama and Metagross." Eugene claimed.
"Hariyama!"
"Metagross!"
"Hariyama and Metagross... That's quite a powerful combo." Cletus said.
"Indeed. Hariyama has some strength while Metagross has vast intelligence." Eugene claimed. "Both of them hold a great balance of brains and brawns, which I think is rather important." Knowing what he's up against is good, but how is Davis going to battle those two if they're such powerful pokemon; especially when they work together. "I'll give you a moment to strategize. I'll have my staff show you the battlefield when you are ready." Eugene said as he got back to work.
"With pokemon like that, you do have quite a balance. How are you going to handle something like that, Davis?" Tetsu questioned.
"Brain and brawn..." Davis said as he found what Eugene just said to be important. It might have also given him an idea as to what pokemon he can use for this.

The Battlefield
Davis took a moment to put his strategy together to try and find a great team against those two. When he thought he had it, he came straight to the battlefield and was ready. The two of them faced each and Davis was ready for his last challenge.
"Are you ready, Davis? You know what pokemon I'm using. Hariyama and Metagross!" Eugene called as he released his pokemon.
"Hariyama!"
"Metagross!"
"Metagross is a steel-type and a psychic-type, and Hariyama is a fighting-type." Cletus said as he analyzed the situation. "I can't really think of any of the pokemon Davis caught that would have the advantage against them. At least none of the ones he caught in Centros."
"But he's bound to have caught pokemon that do have the type advantage." Tetsu figured.
"These are the two I'm going with: Sawk and Alakazam!" Davis called as he chose his pokemon.
"Sawk!"
"Alakazam!"
"Sawk and Alakazam... That's an interesting pair." Eugene said.
"Davis decided to go with his own brain and brawn combination." Imperialdramon claimed. They all saw what he was doing and it was quite an interesting idea.
"I see... Well, let's see if that will pay off." Eugene said as they started their battle.
"Let's do this!" Davis said as he was starting the battle. "Sawk, you use Close Combat on Hariyama! Alakazam, you use Psybeam on Metagross!" Both of his pokemon went on the attack as they both used their attacks.
"Hariyama, intercept! Metagross, Flash Cannon!" Eugene ordered and both pokemon countered. Hariyama used its giant hands like iron shields and was able to block each attack that Sawk threw at it. As for Metagross, it unleashed a shining blast and was able to block Alakazam's Psybeam. "Hariyama, Force Palm!" Hariyama was able to break through Sawk and smashed its palm against Sawk. Hariyama unleashed a blast of energy from Sawk and blew Sawk away. "Metagross, Swift!" Metagross calculated the angles for the attack like a computer and got something. Metagros unleashed a series of stars, but they bounced around the battlefield to make it impossible to dodge and blasted Alakazam with them.
"Did you just see that?!" Tetsu said.
"I sure did. Hariyama has some serious power while Metagross calculated the angle of the attack so they would hit. This might be harder than I thought." Cletus said.
"In that case, let's switch things around! Sawk, Knock Off on Metagross! Alakazam, Psybeam but on Hariyama this time!" Davis ordered as both of them were getting ready to attack.
"I don't think so! Metagross, Meteor Mash!" Eugene called. Metagross folded its body up and charged right at them like a meteor. First, Sawk got hit. After that, it turned right around and smashed into Alakazam. "Your turn, Hariyama! Arm Thrust on Sawk!" Hariyama went right at Sawk. First, it grabbed a hold of Sawk. After that, it tossed Sawk in the air and used Arm Thrust to juggle Sawk around while smashing its giant hands against Sawk.
"Look at that! I didn't know you could use Arm Thrust like that!" Tetsu said.
"Sawk won't be able to take much more of that!" Cletus said.
"Alakazam, help Sawk out by using Psychic!" Davis called. Alakazam acted fast as it used its psychic powers and pushed Hariyama away with Sawk hitting the ground. "Are you okay, Sawk?!" Sawk took some damage, but he was still able to get back up.
"So far, I'm not all that impressed, Davis." Eugene claimed. "You claim you're going with a combo like mine, but I have yet to see it. Let me show you how it's really done. Metagross, Meteor Mash on Hariyama!"
"What?! You're attacking your own partner?!" Davis said as he didn't understand that.
"Hariyama, Force Palm!" Eugene called as he went through with it. Metagross moved behind Hariyama and used Meteor Mash on its own partner. However, it gave Hariyama a boost as the distance between them closed and Hariyama used Force Palm right on the ground. The impact of the attack blew both of them back.
"He used a combination attack! Metagross gave Hariyama a boost in speed and there was no time for Sawk and Alakazam to react!" Cletus said.
"What's Davis going to do? How can he beat those two?" Tetsu questioned.
"Can you two keep going?" Davis questioned as it wasn't looking good, but both of his pokemon were able to get back up.
"Those two are certainly tough, but you aren't doing so well." Eugene said. "You better think of something or else you're going to lose this battle."
"We're the ones who are going to win! Sawk, Knock Off on Metagross!" Davis said. "Alakazam, hold Hariyama down with Psychic so it doesn't stop Sawk!" Both of his pokemon did what he said as Alakazam used the power of his mind to hold Hariyama down. That allowed Sawk to charged straight at Metagross with dark power flowing through his hand and chopped it down on Metagross.
"Good, but not good enough. Metagross, Flash Cannon!" Eugene called. Metagross readied the attack, but it didn't hit Sawk. It flew past him and blasted Alakazam instead. That allowed Hariyama to be free. "Hariyama, now use Strength!" Hariyama built some power and got right at Sawk with it smashing its fist right against Sawk and knocking him down. Both of his pokemon are still going, but they won't last much longer at this rate. "I'm surprised your pokemon are still getting up after that. You raised them well."
"Alakazam and Sawk are great battlers. They can take anything you throw at them." Davis claimed.
"Is that so? Well, I think it's time we put an end to this." Eugene claimed as he was aiming to finish the battle. "This should help make sure that happens. Hariyama, Belly Drum!" Hariyama started beating its own belly like a drum and started to increase its power.
"Belly Drum?! That might lower the users energy, but it also increased their power! Eugene is getting ready to end this with one final attack!" Cletus said.
"Davis, you need to do something fast or it's all over!" Tetsu called.
"He's right. Sawk and Alakazam won't be able to take much more." Imperialdramon said. "If those next attacks connect, it's all over." Davis is aware of that, but he has to figure out how to get around Hariyama's strength and Metagross' brain.
"Let's finish this! Combo attack! Meteor Mash and Force Palm like before!" Eugene said. His two pokemon used the combo attack like they did before. It looks like this could be it for them.
"Alakazam, Teleport on yourself and Sawk!" Davis said. Alakazam reacted just in time as he used his psychic powers and managed to get both of them out of the way in time. None of them expected that move. "Now use Psychic and push them both back!" The two of them reappeared and Alakazam pushed them back with his psychic powers once again. "Sawk, Close Combat!"
"Stop it, Hariyama!" Eugene called. Sawk tried attacking, but Hariyama used its hands like shields once again and was blocking the attack. "Metagross, Flash Cannon on Alakazam!"
"Not this time! Teleport and then Focus Punch!" Davis called. "Sawk, Low Sweep and then back to Close Combat!" Metagross tried attacking Alakazam with Flash Cannon, but Alakazam teleported out of the way. As for Sawk, he swept his leg and smashed it right against Hariyama's leg and it hit hard. Hariyama couldn't take the pain and dropped to a knee. That left openings in its defenses for Sawk to use. Sawk even smirked as it unleashed Close Combat again and was nailing Hariyama this time. Finally, Alakazam teleported right above Metagross and smashed its arm right on Metagross with it looking like a critical hit.
"Hariyama! Metagross!" Eugene called as that didn't look good for either pokemon and he was right. Both of them got hit hard and were knocked out by both of his pokemon. "It's over... He beat both of them..."
"I did? We did!" Davis cheered. "Alakazam! Sawk! Way to go!" Davis called as he raced over to both of them and got both of them around his arms. "Thanks so much, both of you!"
"Alakazam!"
"Sawk!" Both of them were just happy they got to battle with Davis once again. Eugene was quite pleased with the battle as he brought both of his pokemon back to their pokeballs.
"Nicely done, Davis. Your pokemon are strong and you used some crafty maneuvers." Eugene said. "Here is proof that you cleared my challenge. The Pearl Pass, and your final pass." He said as he handed the final pass designed after a pearl.
"Thanks, Eugene." Davis said as he accepted it. "Yeah! The final pass: the Pearl Pass!"
"Yeah/Ala/Sawk!"
"You really managed to get all four!" Tetsu said.
"Nice going!" Cletus said.
"Now that you have cleared all four challenges, you're free to take on the head of Pokemon Grand Orientation." Eugene claimed. "If you beat her, you clear the whole thing. Before you do leave, I insist that you try everything my hotel has to offer. Especially our hot spring after a hard battle like that." That sounded really good to all of them.

The Hot Spring
All of them went to check out the hot spring and they all loved it. It felt soothing and relaxing after a battle like that. Even the pokemon were allowed to join them and the ones who battled loved the water themselves.
"Oh yeah... There's nothing like a good soak." Davis said as he was enjoying it.
"Glad you like it. Enjoy what you can before you head for Gallant Island." Eugene said. "Gallant Island is where your last battle will be held."
"Eugene, is there anything you can tell us about the head of Pokemon Grand Orientation?" Tetsu asked.
"I sure can. Her name is Michelle, and she's one tough trainer." Eugene said. "She's not going to be so easy to beat. In fact, she actually has a legendary pokemon on her side."
"A legendary pokemon?!" Davis questioned as they all couldn't believe this Michelle might have one. Sounds like this might be Davis' toughest battle yet as they all wonder what legendary pokemon it could be.
Davis has managed to gain all four passes. He's now eligible to take on the head of Pokemon Grand Orientation, but it sounds like he'll have a tough battle ahead of her. What's going to happen from here? Stay tuned to find out.
