Davis' battle against Michelle seemed to have been going her way, but the tide quickly turned. Michelle was able to beat Davis' pokemon with him brought down to just two pokemon. Although Michelle does have one pokemon left, her last pokemon is Cobalion. It is the legendary pokemon she is known for having. Davis and his pokemon have battled hard, but this is soon going to come to an end. Is Davis going to triumph over Pokemon Grand Orientation or is this really the end?

"Houndoom, I choose you!" Davis called as he released his next pokemon.
"Houn!" Houndoom came out and faced against Cobalion. With only two pokemon left, Davis can't afford to make any mistakes.
"Davis is going with Houndoom once again. Houndoom hardly used any strength and took no damage in its last battle. Does it have a chance against Cobalion?" Going against a legendary pokemon might be a little intimidating, but Davis is not letting that bother him. It's just another battle and Cobalion is just another opponent that he needs to beat.
"Cobalion is part steel-type, so Houndoom does have the advantage with it being a fire-type." Cletus said. "However, Cobalion is also a fighting-type and has the advantage over dark-types like Houndoom."
"This battle could go either way depending on what kind of attacks they use." Tetsu said.
"Houndoom, give yourself some cover by using Smokescreen!" Davis said. Houndoom breathed out smoke and it enveloped around Houndoom to conceal it.
"Houndoom hides itself with Smokescreen. Can a legendary pokemon like Cobalion battle blind?"
"Now use Flamethrower!" Davis called. Houndoom was able to breathe out fire from the smoke, but Cobalion kept jumping around and was avoiding those flames as best as it could.
"You can't hide from us! Cobalion, Air Slash!" Michelle called. Cobalion gathered air around the top of its head and unleashed it in a series of blades. The attack blew right through the smoke and revealed where Houndoom was hiding. When that happened, Cobalion attacked again and the Air Slash managed to land it's attack. "Good! Now use Iron Head!" Cobalion charged right at Houndoom with a head made of iron.
"Shadow Ball!" Davis called. Houndoom formed a ball of darkness and launched it, but Cobalion pushed right through it. Cobalion kept going and smashed against Houndoom.
"Good! Now use Double Kick!" Michelle called. Cobalion turned around and was about to strike Houndoom with its hind legs.
"Duck!" Davis called. Houndoom ducked down and caused the attack to miss with Houndoom having a clear shot at Cobalion. "Now use Flamethrower!" Houndoom breathed out fire and blasted Cobalion at point-blank range.
"A point-blank Flamethrower hits! That deals a lot of damage!" It was starting to look good as Davis enjoyed seeing Houndoom in action.
'Houndoom, even though we had trouble getting along at first, you came around.' Davis thought as looked back at the struggles and the bond they share. 'You became one of my best battlers. I know you can take whatever that Cobalion throws at you.' He thought for sure Houndoom had Cobalion with that.
"Cobalion, Double Kick once more!" Michelle called. Cobalion kicked right through the flames and they both managed to strike against Houndoom this time. "Now use Iron Head!" Cobalion attacked Houndoom once more with the attack smashing against Houndoom and was knocked out.
"Houndoom is unable to battle! Cobalion is the winner!" The ref declared.
"Cobalion has managed to take down three of Davis' pokemon and has managed to even the score! both sides have only one pokemon left!" This battle was starting to get interesting now. Both sides are down to just one pokemon now.
"Cobalion took that Flamethrower! Fire-type attacks should have been real effective against Cobalion!" Tetsu said.
"That's true, but that Cobalion is strong and powerful. It might take more than type advantage to win against a pokemon like this." Cletus said. "Imperialdramon is just as tough, but this is his last chance." All of Davis' other pokemon have been defeated and Imperialdramon is all he's got left, but that works for him.
"It's all up to you now." Davis said.
"I've got this." Imperialdramon said as he walked out on the field and was ready for this battle.
"Imperialdramon comes out for the final battle, but has Imperialdramon had enough time to recover after its battle against Ditto?"
"Imperialdramon, give them your Brick Break!" Davis called. Imperialdramon was the first to attack as he charged right at Cobalion.
"Stop them in their tracks with Air Slash!" Michelle called. Cobalion unleashed blades of air and they all managed to hit Imperialdramon and stopped his attack. "Now use Iron Head!" Cobalion charged right at Imperialdramon and smashed against him with some damage being dealt.
"Show them you won't just take that! Give them your Dragon Pulse!" Imperialdramon called.
"Move away!" Michelle called with Cobalion moving away and the Dragon Pulse missing it's target.
"How did it move like that?!" Imperialdramon questioned as they were surprised by Cobalion's react time.
"Ditto was a great opener." Michelle called. "With Ditto, I was able to check out your pokemon's abilities as well as their stats in battle. Knowing that, I know what to expect."
"You mean you were able to get a read on my strength and speed from my battle against Ditto?!" Imperialdramon said.
"As well what attacks you're capable of using." Michelle said as it would seemed she had this planned.
"So, no matter what pokemon I used against Ditto, she was ready for it." Davis said. "Ditto was just a way to see what me and some of my pokemon are capable of."
"It might only be an estimate, but it can still work! Cobalion, Iron Head!" Michelle called with Cobalion charging at Imperialdramon once again.
"Imperialdramon, get in the air!" Davis called. Imperialdramon jumped and was able to avoid Cobalion's attack.
"Imperialdramon is in the air! Are we looking at an attack from above?!"
"Stay in the air, Imperialdramon! We'll attack from up there and keep out of Cobalion's reach!" Davis said.
"That won't stop us! Cobalion, Iron Head once again!" Michelle called. Cobalion charged once more and made a great leap. They were all surprised by how high Cobalion could jump. The attack still managed to land against Imperialdramon. "Now use Double Kick!" Cobalion was still able to attack like that as it took both of it's front legs and stomped down on Imperialdramon with him being knocked out of the air and crashed into the ground.
"Imperialdramon crashes into the ground! We're seeing one of the reasons that Cobalion is considered a legendary pokemon."
"Are you okay?!" Davis called with Imperialdramon getting back up.
"Cobalion, Sacred Sword!" Michelle called. Cobalion had that horn extension grow out of its head and slashed Imperialdramon with it. Imperialdramon took some damage with that as he dropped down to one knee and was losing strength.
"Imperialdramon is not looking that good. Could this battle be over?"
"Cobalion, let's get ready to end this battle." Michelle said. Cobalion walked right over to Imperialdramon to end this battle.
"We're not giving up! Focus Punch!" Davis called. Imperialdramon kept the battle going as he gathered power in his fist and smashed it against Cobalion. Cobalion was knocked back, but was able to hold its stand while Imperialdramon dropped to a knee and was breathing hard. Despite that, Cobalion was still standing and still able to battle.
"Cobalion has taken some effective attacks, but is still standing. It looks like Imperialdramon gave it one last try, but it wasn't enough to win this battle."
"Sorry, Davis. Desperate attacks like that won't work." Michelle claimed. Imperialdramon looked like he might not be able to take much more. Is this battle going to end soon? "It was a good effort and a good battle, but I'm afraid our battle must end. I will admit that you did give me a challenge. For that, I'll respect your efforts by ending this with our best attack. Cobalion, honor them like the warriors they are and finish this with Sacred Sword!" Cobalion had that attack grow out of its head again and was going to end this.
"Not yet..." Davis mumbled. Davis has trusted all of his pokemon and the bond they share. Imperialdramon might not be a pure pokemon like the others, but he was no different. 'Imperialdramon... Veemon, we've been through so much together. The day I met you was the day my life changed forever. No matter what crazy situation we go through, no matter what form you were in, you've always been by my side like a true friend. In fact, you were more than that. You ended up becoming a part of me. As cheesy as it sounds, we really are better together. Really, digimon and pokemon aren't as different as they seem. That's why we're going to win this!' Cobalion reached Imperialdramon and was going to end the battle as it was about to swing its head down like a sword. "Imperialdramon!" Cobalion swung its horn down, but Imperialdramon crossed his arms and was able to block the attack.
"Davis was right. We're the ones that are going to win." Imperialdramon said as Michelle, Cobalion, and others were astonished that Imperialdramon blocked the attack. Imperialdramon pushed back and was able to knock Cobalion off of him with Imperialdramon standing back up.
"I thought you were on your last leg! How can you still be standing?!" Michelle called.
"I guess I'm just tougher than you thought." Imperialdramon claimed. Michelle certainly didn't expect that or something else. She looked at Cobalion and saw it cracked a smile.
'Is Cobalion actually smiling about a challenger?! I've never seen that happen before!' Michelle thought as it would seem that even Cobalion was enjoying the challenge. "Cobalion, we still need to finish this battle! Sacred Sword!"
"We're ready for this! Imperialdramon, Dragon Rush!" Davis called. Both pokemon used their respective attacks and charged right at each other for one final attack. Both of them crashed into each other and tried to overpower the other. Both pokemon tried pushing as hard as they could with great power until a large explosion went off.
"Another fierce explosion as erupted in the battlefield! Is the result going to be different this time?!" All of them were at the edge of their seats to see who would win this battle until they saw both sides were still standing. They just stared each other down to see who would fall first. It was Cobalion who smiled for this great battle just before it collapsed and was defeated.
"Cobalion is unable to battle! Imperialdramon wins, which means that victory goes to Davis!" The ref declared.
"It's over and done! Davis has defeated Michelle and has triumphed in Pokemon Grand Orientation!" It was announced with the crowd cheering at the top of their lungs.
"Yeah! We actually beat a legendary pokemon!" Davis cheered.
"Unbelievable! Who would have thought he actually beat a legendary pokemon?!" Tetsu questioned.
"He just continues to amaze me!" Cletus said as his friends were impressed with Davis. It's been a long time since Michelle actually got a challenge and the time that she has meant that she was defeated. Despite that, she was quite pleased with it.
"Cobalion, thank you for all your effort." Michelle said as she brought it back to its pokeball for rest. "He certainly is a skilled trainer with strong bonds with each of his pokemon." Davis has truly begun to make his own mark in this world now. Now that it was over, Davis and his pokemon were being rewarded the trophy with all of his pokemon standing with him.
"As we close this exciting event, Michelle awards Davis and his pokemon his trophy."
"Congrats, Davis." Michelle said as she rewarded him a large platinum trophy. "On behalf of everyone on Pokemon Grand Orientation, I bestow you your reward for clearing every challenge. You truly are one great pokemon trainer with amazing pokemon."
"Thank you so much, Michelle." Davis said as he earned the trophy. "Yeah! We won Pokemon Grand Orientation!" He cheered with all of his pokemon for making a great accomplishment, and this accomplishment will be remembered as his and his pokemon's prints and photo are held in the Hall of Fame for everyone to see.
Davis has finally won Pokemon Grand Orientation. His victory here will be remembered for all times. Although this part his journey is done, there's still enough time for more adventures for he still has to decide what he'll do after this. What is to come? Stay tuned.
