"Supergirl can you hear me?" Alex barked down the radio. "Supergirl come in." She said while looking at the screen showing her motionless sister.
"Ma'am the suit sensors aren't registering a heartbeat." Rose said.
"Kara." Alex pleaded into the radio.
"Someone stop those camera feeds getting to the networks." Vasquez snapped at the DEO team as Alex kept calling into the radio. As she called she saw Lobo take out another gun and blasting Kara, this time they lost all readings from Kara's suit. Alex then had to watch Lobo lifting her lifeless sister up and tossing her on his bike before riding off.
"Where's he taking her?" Alex asked.
"I don't know." Vasquez said.
"Track him." Alex said.
"We can't." Rose said. "Her suit isn't giving off any signal and Lobo has vanished."

"We're going to grab some food and walk Chewie. Do you want anything?" The teenage Kara asked her brother who was nose deep in homework.
"No I'm fine." He said as all three teens' phones began to buzz.
Having read the news alert Diz immediately pulled Kara in for hug.
"What?" MJ asked still trying to find his phone under the pile of books.
"It's your aunt." Diz said before Kara pulled away and looked at her brother.
"The news bulletin said Lobo killed her on live TV."
"No." MJ said, not able to believe it. "Mom would have called us."
"It was on live TV." Diz said. "She probably hasn't had time."
"Wait, where's Alex?" The teenage Kara asked.
"Um, I thought she was out shopping with aunt Kara today." MJ said looking dazed before finally finding his phone as he looked at it he said. "Damn."
"What?"
"Martin has sent several messages, apparently Alex was with him but took off."
"When?"
"Five minutes ago."
"So she knows?" Diz guessed.
"I guess." MJ said.
"We need to find her." His sister said.
"Where?" MJ asked.
"DEO?" Diz asked.
"Well if she does go there mom is there." Kara said.
"What about the ship?" MJ said. "Last time she thought aunt Kara was dead she ran away to the ship."
"Let's go."

As they ran through the rain trying to find the teen they called out to her but got no response.
"You sure it is this way?" Diz asked MJ.
"Pretty sure, but it all looks pretty woody." MJ pointed out. "Maybe we should split up?"
"No, the last thing your mom needs is one or both of you to get lost." Diz countered just as they heard what sounded like a tree falling.
"Over there?" MJ suggested.
"Go slow." Diz warned. "If the storm brought that tree down it may bring others down too."
"I know." MJ said
"Let's spread out." Diz said. "Twenty feet apart, but make sure we can see each other at all times." He instructed before the trio set off. They had only been going for two minutes when suddenly Kara cried out in pain and fell to the ground.
"Kar?" Diz asked rushing over to her side.
"I'm okay, find Alex." The Kara said looking down at her leg, which had a narrow branch sticking into it.
"Get down!" MJ shout causing Diz to dive on top of Kara, covering her head and torso, moments before several branches flew over them.
"You think there is a Meta here?" Kara asked.
"I don't know." Diz said looking around.
"Find Alex." Kara said as they heard MJ shout.
"Alex!"
"Leave. Can't stop them." Alex shouted back, her hands on her head.
"Yes you can." MJ said. "Just focus on the sound of rain."
"Can't. I can't focus." She said as she swayed.
"Alex?"
"Go." She pleaded moments before MJ was hit by a branch.
"MJ!" Kara called seeing him fall to ground.
"Stay." Diz instructed before scrambling over to MJ, getting hit by leaves, dirt and stones as did he so.
"You okay?" Diz asked as he reached MJ.
"Think so. We need to get to Alex."
"Not sure it would help." Diz said.
"What do you mean?"
"I think she's passed out." Diz said peering round a tree and seeing Alex on the ground, but everything still swirling round her.
"We need to get to cover." Diz said.

"The defensive grid is active and is working. Lobo has not passed through so he is still on Earth." Vasquez said. "We just have no idea where."
"What about his cave?" Alex asked.
"Empty." Vasquez said.
"Why take her body?" Alex asked.
"It's Lobo, so who knows."
"He always has a plan let's figure it out. We need to find him." Alex said.
"We will, but don't you think you should go be with the kids? They must have seen he news." Vasquez said.
"Until I see for myself I refuse to believe Kara is dead. While there is a chance she is alive Alex would want me looking." Alex argued.
"We will look. But you could-" Vasquez said just as Alex's phone rang just as three dots appeared on a map.
Picking it up she saw it was her daughter and sighed. Taking a deep breath she answered only for her daughter to hijack the conversation.
"Mom, we need you. Alex has lost control of her powers." The teenager said as the older Alex could hear crashing and swearing in the background.
"Where are you?" Alex asked.
"By aunt Kara's ship. We activated the watches."
Turning Alex saw the map and the dots. "I'll be there soon." Alex said hanging up. She then looked at Vasquez and said. "I have to go."
"I have things here." Vasquez said.
"Ruby." Alex called.
"Yes."
"I need your help. I just need to grab something." She said rushing out of the control room.

"Kara? MJ?" Alex shouted as she limped through the wet woods with Ruby.
"Over there." Ruby said pointing. But over the rain Alex missed the instruction causing Ruby to back track and grab Alex's shoulder. "This way." She shouted.
Nodding Alex followed Ruby until she saw the teenage Alex lying in the middle of a freshly made clearing, seemingly asleep, the other three teens taking cover behind trees as branches and rocks and soil flew round uncontrollably.
"Get these inhibitors on her." The older Alex ordered Ruby, who grabbed them from her boss and hurried towards the teen. As she did so Alex limped to the other three.
"Mom!" The teenage Kara called.
"Are you three okay?" Alex asked.
"You need to help Alex." MJ said. "She can't control it."
"We'll help her." Alex said as suddenly all the flying objects dropped to the ground and the only noise was the rain. Looking over Alex saw Ruby checking the unconscious teenage Alex for injuries.
"What happened?" The older Alex asked.
"Martin messaged and said Alex had run off. We'd seen the news and figured she came here." MJ explained.
"Are you hurt?" Alex asked noticing how torn and muddy their clothes were.
"Just help Alex." MJ said.
"I need to get her to Lena's lab." Alex said.
"Can we come?" Kara asked.
"Sure." Alex agreed turning again.
"Is it true?" Kara asked. Asking the question the others were afraid to ask.
"I think so." Alex said, pushing away her own grief and hugging her two children before heading to her unconscious niece.

"Is she going to be okay?" MJ asked, turning to face his mother who sat in the back of the SUV nursing her teenage niece.
"I don't know." Alex said sounding defeated.
"You'll help her." Ruby said to MJ from the driver's seat before asking. "You warm enough?"
"I'm fine." He said, although Ruby could see he was shivering under the blanket.
"We'll be at the lab soon." Ruby said as she glanced in the mirror to check Diz and Kara were still travelling behind her.
"Why'd he do it?" MJ asked.
"Who?" Alex asked.
"Lobo. Why'd he kill her?"
"I don't know." His mother said glancing down her niece as Ruby turned off the street, just as the teenage Alex start to stir. Seeing the movement the older Alex pulled the teenager tightly into a hug.
"Mom?" The teenager asked.
"I'm sorry." Alex said holding her tightly. The two simple words causing Alex to burst into tears. Not knowing what to say Alex tightly held her as Ruby pulled the car to a stop and jumped out.
"Let's get you into some warm clothes." Alex said as Ruby opened the car door and helped the crying teen out of the car towards the lab.
As they entered the lab Alex got more and more upset before the inhibitors cracked and flew off her head, moments before objects started to fly round the lab.
"Alex, you need to calm down." The older Alex said.
"Can't stop it." The teen said getting more upset and unable to control her powers.
"We need to get you into containment." The older Alex said trying to guide her to the iso cell only to be smacked by a laptop flying into her just as the teen collapsed to the ground. Despite her no longer being conscious, just like in the woods objects swirled round the lab.
"I've got her." Ruby said, using her greater resilience to safely pick Alex up and put her in containment.
She then tried to put a blanket over the teen only for the blanket to be ripped from Ruby's hands and fly round the cell. Knowing she was onto a loser she left the cell and erected the forcefield.
"Any ideas?" Ruby asked as the older Alex stared into the cell.
"Not much we can do until she wakes up." Alex said. "But help me run some scans. We may be able to figure out something." She said moving to a computer bank.
"I can do this if you want to check on the others?" Ruby offered.
"I'll do it. I owe Kara that much." Alex said typing at a keyboard. Typing that became more frustrated until she was almost punching the keyboard. Eventually she stepped away and swore at the computer.
"What is it?" Ruby asked.
"This isn't going to work. I need to get to Alex." The older Alex said trying to remain focused on the problem at hand. Eventually she turned and said. "Ruby, I need you to go to the DEO and get the full power inhibitors." Alex ordered.
"I thought we'd used them all on the aliens we rounded up-"
"Then make a new one." Alex snapped before quickly apologising. "Sorry."
"I'll be back as soon as I can." Ruby said walking off leaving Alex staring into the cell.
"Is she okay?" The teenage Kara asked limping into the room.
"I don't know. She can't control her powers at all. She's resting now, we'll see how is she when she wakes up." Alex said turning towards the other teens. "How are you guys?"
"Diz patched us up." Her daughter said.
"Kar needs stitches." Diz cut in.
"What?" Alex asked looking at her daughter, noticing the bloodstained cloth on her leg. "What happened."
"Impaled by a small branch, practically a twig."
"You two get into some dry clothes." Alex instructed the male teens before helping her daughter to a bed. "I'll get the kit." She added disappearing for a moment.
"Did Diz clean this up?" Alex asked as she removed the temporary dressing.
"Yes."
"He's done a good job, but he's right you need stitches." Alex said. "There's a chance it may have caused damage to your old injury as well."
"I'll take it easy." Kara said as Alex numbed the area before applying the sutures. A couple of times Kara opened her mouth to speak, but then realised she didn't know what to say so kept quiet. After a few minutes Alex applied a new dressing and said.
"All done."
"Thanks."
"Try not to use it for a few days." Alex said almost robotically before adding.
"I know this is hard, but I need you to look after your brother." Alex said. "Your grandmother will be here soon."
"Who is looking after you?" The teen asked.
"I'll be okay." Alex said. "Right now I have to be." She said hugging her daughter.
"I'll look after her." Lena said from behind before noticing the suture kit and Kara's bandaged leg. "You okay?"
"I'm fine." The teen said.
"You're still freezing, get warm and go home." Alex said as Diz came back into the room with MJ.
"We need to stay with Alex." MJ argued.
"MJ, right now she is asleep. But when she wakes up she'll need you. So get some rest so you are ready." Alex said.
"I'll take them home." Diz said to Alex before walking over to Kara and helping her up.
As she watched the kids go she was only vaguely aware of Lena talking behind her. Eventually though she turned and asked. "Sorry?"
"Is it true? Is Kara dead?" Lena asked.
"I think so."
"You think?" Lena asked confused.
"They haven't found the body yet." Alex said. "Lobo took it."
"So she could be alive?" Lena asked.
"I hope so, but the evidence is not looking good. And you saw the video and according to the suit readings she was gone."
"But there is no body and Lobo was involved and he seemed to go to huge lengths to show her die."
"You think he faked it?" Alex asked.
"I think there are unanswered questions and until we have answers we shouldn't give up."
"You're right."
"Speaking of unanswered questions, what has happened to my lab and where is Alex?"
"Alex has lost control of her powers, right now she is passed out in the containment cell."
"The injuries to the kids were due to Alex?"
"Yeah." Alex said. "We need to run some tests, but no one can get close to her."
"Can't we use inhibitors."
"She managed to destroy hers."
"But she's asleep now?" Lena asked.
"Yes, but here powers are still active, anything that gets close gets thrown into the cell wall."
"I have an idea. You figure out the tests you want to run. Or go help search for Kara."
"She'd want me to help Alex."
"Then set up the tests." Lena said.

The moment the teenage duo of Kara and MJ stepped into the house they were pulled into their grandmother's arms.
"I'll make some warm food and drinks." Diz said walking past the trio.
"Are you two okay?" Eliza asked pulling away and seeing their scratched faces.
"We're fine." Kara said.
"Although Kara isn't meant to be using her leg." MJ said.
"Then let's get you sat down." Eliza said as MJ helped Kara hop to the couch.
"Why don't you have a shower and warm up?" Kara said to her brother.
"What about you?"
"You go first, it'll take me awhile to get upstairs anyway."
"Okay." MJ said disappearing before Eliza sat on the couch next to Kara and pulled her granddaughter in for a hug.
