With training done, the group with there new friend they head into the memory of Traverse Town

Memory of the Town Part 1
After an odd encounter with the mysterious Psycho Sith and meeting new ally J, Emerl learned the secrets of Castle Oblivion. If he wanted to fight in this place, the Gizoid needed the power of the cards. In some generosity on his part Sith provided him with a gauntlet that would allow him to fight. Unfortunately his friends save for J and RiCO had been turned into cards and he was forced to walk the memory of the town with mostly J for company. Emerl felt insecure about this, J worked for Sith so he pretty much was fighting alone, something he wasn't used to. But figured be able to get to know her.
"So, is Psycho Sith that guys main name?" Emerl asked J walking
"It is how he is addressed but he does have a normal name" J said nodding "Marr, I am not sure fully but he said it was the only thing of his old life he recalls."
"I see, so what about you, what was your life before?" Emerl asked
"I was a Dissasembly Drone, I can't recall fully what my life is like but I know I severed my master a long time." J said thinking
"Well, while fighting with cards is different. If what Sith or Marr said is true, this will be the only way to find Metal Sonic and Makoto. But why would he help me?" Emerl asked
"I am sure he has good intentions perhaps" J said
"I don't know, I previously fought someone in a similar cloak, so I am a little cautious." Emerl points out he then looks to be in a familiar first district with an array of shops, houses and Yusai and Akiza's accessary store. He sighs happily "Still, it's good to be back here"
-Traverse Town—
It was very nostalgic for the Gizoid being in these streets as the two walk around the town
"So, what significance does this world have with you?" J asked curious
"This is where my adventure began, where I met a majority of my friends." Emerl said and looked around "Still…it is too quiet, where is everyone?"
"Hmmm, I am only guessing but given this is only a memory would be the reason." J said thinking "Those who aren't particularly close to you will not appear."
"That would make sense, I wonder if Qrow and the others will be here?" Emerl said thinking
"If they had a bond with your heart, it is likely" J said thinking
"I will check Yusai and Akisa's store to see" Emerl said and approaches he store and knocks on it "Hello? Yusai? Akisa? Anyone?"
However, he got no response, Emerl sighs it was hard not being able to be with old friends. J places a hand on him but then notices something in the coner of her eyes and twists and strikes and takes out a Shadow. They soon see themselves surrounded with Shadow and Soldier Heartless.
"Heartless?!" Emerl said shocked "Why are they here?"
"This is a town you faced off against them, right?" J asked and Emerl nods "That is why, they are significant in your memories of this place so of course they will take form here too."
"Well shouldn't be too hard, it's only Shadows and Soldier Heartless" Emerl said confidently
"Careful, remember you lost all your powers and abilities when you entered this castle" J cautioned him "This puts you at a disadvantage."
"Yeah, I know" Emerl said nodding
The two fought against the Heartless and while still getting used to the card mechanic they managed to easily take them out with Emerl using his strength while J using speed and agility. They fight and make their way into the Third District
"Man…that was….not so bad" Emerl pants
"Really? Because you sound tired." J points out
"I am fine…" Emerl said "But fighting without the others isn't so great…"
As Emerl said that, four cards drop out of the sky and land on the ground behind him/ They release a bright flash and Emerl's friends appear in their place. Emerl and J jump and turn in surprise.
"Ah!" Emerl yelped jumping "Don't just appear like that!"
"Please it's not our fault!" Togami said annoyed "We barely know what is even going on here!"
"You okay, you both look tired?" Lilac asked
"Let's just say those Heartless were a lot tougher then before" Emerl sighs
"and I am being careful, I needed to be careful with my core as I lack a sufficient cooling system if I overdo it with my abilities or don't have sufficient oil to drink I will short out" J explained
"Sounds tough" Doom mentions "You sure you'll be fine without us?"
"Sure I will be, just have to keep defeating Heartless to get through her." Emerl said confidently
"If you talk like that, the Heartless will easily defeat you." A voice behind Emerl said
The group look and see who the figure was and all but J instantly reagonized Qrow and Oscar. The two walk up to them
"Qrow! Oscar! It's good to see you both" Emerl said happy
"How do you know our names?" Oscar aske confused
"Oscar, come on don't joke with me." Emerl said "What are you guys doing in Castle Oblivion?"
"Castle Oblivion?" Qrow asked confused "What are you talking about, this is Traverse Town."
"Wait what?" Lilac asked confused "Stop acting like we never met"
"Seriously we never met you before" Oscar said "This isn't a joke."
"Quit playing you guys, we fought Heartless together" Emerl said "Oscar you even travelled around the different worlds with us and only left us just recently!"
"I am sorry, but I just don't recall see you before, perhaps you've mistaken me for someone else" Oscar said
"We don't even know your names" Qrow added
"You really don't?" Hiro asked
"I'm sorry" Qrow told them
"I don't believe this." Emerl said looking down "How can you just forget us like that?"
"Look don't take it personally, but you must have the wrong people" Oscar said to them
"Indeed, don't take it personal, Emerl." Qrow added
At that instant everyone looked at Qrow with a gleam of hope, Oscar looked at Qrow in confusion and Qrow himself was equally confused. Why did he just blurt out a name of someone he doesn't know.
"So, you do know his name!" J points out
"Wait, you know him Qrow?" Oscar asked
"I am not sure." Qrow said confused "Why do I know his name?"
"What is happening" Doom asked "Is Qrow just kidding around?"
"If he is, it is pretty terrible." Lilac said "Emerl is really upset"
"You're kidding right Lilac. After all it is mostly Togami and Hiro who…" Oscar began but stops
"You remember us as well" Togami said to him
"Just what is happening?" Qrow asked rubbing his head "Is something wrong with my memory?"
"I am not sure Uncle Qrow." A young female voice said "Perhaps Blake was onto something"
The group look and see Ruby Rose walking up to them. She stops and looks up to her uncle
"Remember, Blake said she could feel some uncanny power." Ruby explained "And she asked us three to look into it and this right here, is uncanny as it is going to get. Perhaps you should take Emerl to see Blake"
"Ruby, you know my name?" Emerl said hopeful
"Indeed, it also looks like you know mine, too." Ruby said smiling
"You know them, Ruby?" Oscar asked
"Nope, never seen them a day in my life." Ruby responded with the same smile "But other then the silver robot I know each of their names, it's strange but it helps skip most introductions"
"I'm J so you will know" J said nodding
"Well good to know." Qrow sighs "Listen Ruby why don't you take Oscar and most of Emerl's friends with you to meet with Blake, I need to show Emerl and J some things"
Ruby nods and group leaves leaving only Emerl, J and Qrow. Once gone Qrow pulls out his weapon Harbinger.
"So, what is it you wanted to show us?" Emerl asked summoning his keyblade
"I noticed the card gauntlet you had on as well as the card pack J their had." Qrow explained "You might have noticed, each card in your deck has a number from 0 to 9. When you are in battle, if two opponents attack at the same time, the card with the higher number wins the Card Break."
"What is a Card Break?" J asked
" A Card Break is a unique tactic in this realm" Qrow said "If you play a higher card than your opponent's, then you break through their defences and create an opening to attack. But playing a lower card then your attack is deflected. Even powerful cards can be deflected if the enemy's card is high enough. Let me demonstrate"
Emerl nods and draws a card as he attacks. However Qrow was able to knock him back and he is prone. Emerl was surprised as he sees his card was a 6 and Qrow shows his being a 0
"What gives? Mine was higher?" Emerl asked as J helped him up
"0 cards are the exception to the rule" Qrow states "No matter how high the card the enemy plays, 0 cards can break them every time. However best to be careful and wait for your enemy to play their card first, if you play it before them, they will be able to break it with any card they play. In other words, it can be the most powerful card if it comes last and useless if it comes first"
"What else is their to know?" J asked
"There is Stock Cards" Qrow said and explained "You don't need to use cards one at a time, you can assemble three cards and use them all at once. By doing this your attacks are more powerful then individually.
"Sounds useful" Emerl said smiling
"Then give it a try." Qrow said smiling and holds his blade out. Emerl draws from his deck three card: 3, 5 and 4. "The sum of your Stack Cards become the value of your attack. The value is high and hard to break, also the combo attack does deal a lot of damage." He smiles "Now unleash that attack"
Emerl nods and moves in and unleashes the attack which was a Sliding Dash, followed soon by J. Qrow blocks the attacks with his Harbinger but he was indeed knocked back a bit.
"That was fun" J said smiling and Emerl nods
"Combo abilities, won't be the only benefit to stocking cards." Qrow explained "Choose your cards carefully and you can unleash special abilities called sleights. Sleights come in all varieties and each has a unique card combination. You should try it when you get more cards and learn a sleight or two. But keep one thing clear, when you stack cards you will lose the first card you use in it for the rest of the battle."
"Wait, can't I just reload it?" Emerl asked
"Sadly not" Qrow said "Everytime you use Stocked Cards, the first one is gone from the battle and can't be reloaded until after the battle. Relying solely on sleights will cause you to run out of card. That will mean trouble." He puts Harbinger away. "That pretty much it, got the hang of it Emerl?"
"Pretty much but it will sink in after a battle or two." Emerl said nodding
"That is the confidence I want to hear" Qrow said smiling. He then jacket pocket and pulls out a blue card similar to the attack cards "Here, I found this lying around. You can have it. Just remember to make good use out of it."
Emerl takes it and looks at it, it was a card with All-Might on it. "Oh my…All-Might"
"Another friend of yours?" J asked
"Yeah, he was a summon I used as he survived his world as a Soul Gem" Emerl explained
"I see..." J said noting it down
"Anyway let's get moving." Qrow said "I am sure Ruby and Oscar has told Blake about you back at the hideout. Perhaps she has some idea on what is happening."
The two nod and follow the Huntsman to the hideout while Emerl was still wondering what is going on.
Well the group have met the memory of there friends from Traverse Town but now have to get used to the hideout with them while figuring these worlds out
