The Tournament to Remember Part 2
The tournament had begun and the race to the end of the obstacle course begun. Emerl and J were started off in a different location than Trunks and Goku and also Tommy. They went through various obstacles and even avoided several heartless as they go through various timeline pockets with many different environments.
"Wow, talk about a lot of different worlds cities, waist-lands, forests." Emerl said as they keep moving.
"Is it me or is this current on but blue grass and a green sky?" J asked looking around
"No that is right, I think according to the sign this is Namek" Emerl said.
"This place looks nice but I feel it might be boring to someone not used to being here" J said
Before Emerl could comment on that they come to the door the Key of Guidance card need to be used on and Emerl uses it and they go through.
The team of six run through the valley of Namek but stop when they see Tommy standing in front of them.
"Well, ain't that nice of him, waiting for us to catch up!" Hiro said with a smile.
"He wasn't waiting for us!" Togami said shaking his head "Don't you remember rule 3, you can interfere with your opponents on the course."
"So then that means…" Lilac said getting ready to fight.
"He's here to narrow down the field." Emerl said summoning his keyblade and everyone also gets ready to fight.
"You can put that away." Tommy told them "I'm not looking for a fight with any of you six, so you're free to keep moving."
This surprised the group that they dropped their guard. Hiro smiling said "Ha! Told you, he was waiting for us to catch up."
"Well even so we have caught up to him." J said "He is still competition but if he's letting us past we should take this offer and overtake him for the finish."
"Not seeing a downside to that…" Emerl said thinking. The group walk back Tommy who walks the opposite direction however something knaws at Emerl's head so he turns and asked "Hey, are you sure?"
"I'm not here for some cup. Just for Goku and Trunks." Tommy told them. "Today, both of them will lose more than this tournament."
This surprised the group and Doom said "Wait do you mean…. but why?!"
"This is my business so I advise you to stay out of it." Tommy told them "Just go and win your cup." Emerl however resummons his Keyblade ready to fight. Tommy turns seeing it and asked, "Do you know what you're even doing?"
"Rule 3 allows for interference with your competition right?" Emerl said nodding "You're not the only one who wants to fight Goku and Trunks." His friends nod and ready themselves for a fight.
"This is a big mistake for you." Tommy said shaking his head as he draws his Dragon Dagger and the fight begins.
Emerl tried to swing but Tommy avoids it and dashes at him knocking him back at incredible speed. J uses her gun hands to fire at Tommy but he avoides thme and kicks her into a wall.
Emerl summons Togami and Hiro when he got their cards and while they were able to do some damage it did little to slow Tommy down who was able to do a lot of damage too him.
"Geez…this guy is tough…" J said as she recovers from the last assault.
"We have to combo him." Emerl said panting.
"Right." J said nodding.
Both move in and attack. J flies from about and knocks him into the air. Emerl jumps up and whacks him further into the air. J then readies and arm cannon and fires hitting him and Tommy crashes to the ground.
Tommy recovers and dashes to slash at the two but they were able to block and parry him. They had him on the ropes until Tommy uses the flute feature of the dagger and plays it sending a beam attack at the two hitting them and knocks them away and out.
When they came too the others helped them up. As he rubs his head, Emerl finds a paper with instructsions on how to do Blitz
"Are you two, okay?" Lilac asked.
"How long were we out?" J groaned sore.
"Only a few minutes" Togami said.
"Huh?" Emerl said and stands looking around "Tommy! Where'd he go?!"
RiCO said appearing "He ran off towards the finish line! We have to go after him!"
"Of course." Emerl said nodding.
"We have to stop him before either he gets hurt or if he does end up offing Goku and Trunks." J said with a nod.
The group then head off to the finish line, Emerl gaining the Key of Truth card. They rush through the rests of the obstacles and find the door to use that card on and go through.
They arrive at the final area of the course which was of the World Martial Arts Tournament arena. When they arrived the see Hercules and Trunks had managed to wear Tommy down that he was on one knee. Maybe he suffered more from the earlier fight then they thought or Tommy was no match for the two. However it seemed Trunks and Goku were a bit tired
"You lost!" Trunks said panting and holding his sword "Give it up, Tommy!"
"We're not done yet…" Tommy said standing up as best he can. He was clutching his side.
"If you keep this up, we can't guarantee your safety." Goku told him concerned.
"You both better worry about yourselves." Tommy told them "From where I'm standing you're both slowing down a bit."
"Grrr…" Trunks said as he can't deny that the fight and the situation of the course tired both him and Goku.
Emerl turns up beside Trunks and Goku and said "Don't worry! We have you're back!" He summons his keyblade
"Yeah, we'll show him!" J said joining
"Emerl? J?" Goku said surprised.
"You both can get all the back up you want." Tommy said uncaring "I'm going to finish you off and then I will get my memories back!"
"Wait? You're memories?" Emerl asked surprised.
"Now, now, Tommy, we don't want to reveal everything now do we?" A voice said and appearing from the corner came Demigra walking up.
"Demigra! What are you doing here?!" Trunks said with a glare.
"Seems to me either you or Towa oversold you. The best you did was wear them both down." Demigra said to Tommy annoyed "This will not reflect well on your performance review…to put it simply my ranger friend; you are fired."
"What?! But my memories!" Tommy said shocked at that "We had a deal!"
"Please, did you honestly think you could get your memories back?" Demigra said turning away "You're fooling yourself!"
"Why you…" Tommy said annoyed at being tricked.
"Stay out of my way! I'll take care of the Time Patroller and Saiyan myself!" Demigra told him he then charges himself up with dark power and sends out an AOE attack that knocks everyone out the arean except Goku and Trunks but they fall to there knees
"Hey!" Lilac said being knocked back.
"Oh did the Kai's forget to tell you the true last rule?" Demigra asked smirking "Rule 5, it's never too late to enter the games."
"Let me guess Demigra, you were behind this from the beginning." Trunks asked panting
"Of all the un-sportsman like cheating." Goku said angered at that if it were true.
"Even so despite that, Tommy failed to take you both out, but he did break you both down at the very least." Demigra said shrugging "Time for plan B."
He smirks as he holds his staff pointing at them "Prepare yourselves Trunks and Goku, I'm about to send you all the way to HFIL and I will be sure to make sure no Dragonball will be able to revive you this time!"
Just then Emerl and co recover and run up in front of Trunks and Goku and stand ready to fight
"Not so fast!" Doom said to the Demon God.
"Emerl, everyone! Don't!" Trunks said to them worried.
"Come on you guys, how can we have our fight if you are both sent to HFIL." Emerl said to Goku and Trunks
"Ha, he has a good point" Demigra said with a smirk "I suppose you'll just have to go with them. After all Rule 6; there are no rules! Hahahaha!"
With that the fight began. Demigra fired dark magic blasts from his sceptor and Emerl and J dodge to avoid them and get some good hits in but it was only one or two before he counters. J moves in and uses her weapons to fire blasts at him which did some damage
"Going to take more then that to beat me!" Demigra said grabbing her leg and swings her away
"Then how about this!" Emerl said as he unleashes a Blizzard Raid on him and deals some major damage to Demigra.
"D-Dammit…you won't get away with this" Demigra said as he powers up and fires a dark blast at the two which hits them.
When they recovered he was now powered up by Dark Fire which made him look like he was on fire as he moved faster and they had to avoid him. Demigra even fired several dark energy balls at them.
"Okay J I knock him up you finish him!" Emerl said having an idea
"Right" J said and flies up
"Too late to fly away little robot bird" Demigra said aiming to fire a powerful Ki-blast
But that was a mistake as Emerl runs up and swings hitting him he then did an attack strong enough to knock him into the air. Demigra tried to recover by J smirks as her hands turn to claws and he swips at her and knocks him to the growns with two powerful strikes
Demigra weakly gets up and dark energy pours out of him as he begins to fade "Im…possible….I…I am a….god…." Were his last words as he fades from existence.
His sceptre shatters into dark energy and reforms into a black villain card with Demigra on it and floats to Emerl who claims it and places it with the others.
A while later everyone met up with Chronoa and Old Kai back at the Conton Arena having exited the portal and recovered however there was no celebration as the Kais told them all that the tournament was cancelled
"What?! It's cancelled?" Emerl said shocked and upset "But why?!"
"Simply two words." Old Kai said "Everyone is tired!"
"Err…that's more than two …" Hiro points out but Lilac stops him.
"You're joking!" Emerl said sighing "What about my match with Goku and Trunks?"
"I'm sorry Emerl, but you wouldn't want to face us in this condition." Trunks told him
"Yeah, I didn't bring any Sensu Beans for us to use to recover quickly." Goku said rubbing his head.
"And I didn't anticipate this, so I didn't prepare any in advance either." Chronoa said nodding.
"I know!" Goku said smiling "I should be good to go in a bit once I've properly rested up for a bit."
"Errr…can you all actually wait that long for us to rest up?" Trunks asked them.
"Sure, I can wait for that." Emerl said smiling.
"Heheh, then it's settled" Goku said smiling.
"You guys! He's coming too" RiCO said as she and J were helping Tommy who was coming too onto his feet.
The group go over to him, and J asked "Hey, you alright?"
"Yeah." Tommy simply said as he gets up and looks at them "I apologize for ruining your tournament." He then turns and begins heading back to the stadium's entrance.
"Hey! I hope you get your memories back!" Emerl called out to Tommy making the ranger stop "Forget about what Demigra said. Sometimes the tiniest thing can make you remember stuff you forget years ago."
"That's right, if it's an important memory, there's no way it could ever be gone forever." Doom said nodding in agreement.
"Those are the words we live by anyway…" Lilac added in
Tommy remained silent but then conjures to his hand a blue card with his image on it and tosses it to Emerl who catches it and looks at it.
"That's for you. For helping me out." Tommy said to him
Emerl puts the card away and asked "Are you sure you wouldn't want to come with us instead?"
"Yeah a fighter of your skill would come in handy in more then just a small window of time." J added in.
Tommy remained quite then said looking at them "Sorry but I'm not interested." With that he takes his leave
The group rest up for a bit longer and during this Emerl rearranges his deck and even adds a fire magic card to it. Once rested they head for the exit.
"I do hope Tommy does finds his memories." Emerl said to J.
"I am sure he will but we have to keep going, there are still more floors of Castle Oblivion" J told him.
"I guess so" Emerl said sighing and they head for the exit door from this world.
Another world complete and Demigra was defeated again. But what other secrets will the group discover in the Castle
