A/N: Thanks for the reviews.
Baratta jennifer -Thank you.
"We have to be missing something obvious." Alex said staring at the map on the DEO wall. "I mean based on sewage analysis, the distribution of the drug is growing, but we can't find hubs or even where they are manufacturing it, let alone how they are getting it onto the street."
"Shouldn't we be able to pick up the waste products of the manufacturing process?" Kara asked.
"Turns out they are pretty common waste products." Alex said. "But what gets me is why can't we find the users? I mean one area there isn't even a homeless district. So who is taking them and why don't know about them."
"Alex, we have something." Vasquez called over to her boss.
"What?"
"The distribution hubs. It was staring us in the face all along." Vasquez said pointing to the maps.
"Still not seeing it." Alex said.
"We were assuming the use was concentrated here due to hubs of users, like warehouses. We were assuming it was like normal drugs. But that isn't what we are looking at." Vasquez said.
"It isn't?"
"We thought the previous versions were part of a journey to make drugs that were safe to use, so that the rich could buy them. What if they have reached that point? If they have, we aren't looking at shading backwater dealing points. We are looking at clubs or other facilities where the rich might part wth money, like health spas."
"I assume you have found some health spas that may be selling?"
"Each one of the hubs has a high end spa near by. Those spas are are all very pricey, very elite and part of a chain."
"A chain with links to Tycho?" Alex asked.
"Still working in that." Vasquez said.
"Even if you are right, it doesn't explain why we aren't seeing more people using powers." Alex said.
"It does if we fell into the same trap. Ask a teenager what powers they want and it will be strength or speed or flight. Ask a business person and they'll want more subtle ones like mind reading, invisibility, mind control."
"You are suggesting the business elite are using powers to make money?"
"Yes." Vasquez said. "But if I am right, it also means there is someone other than Cam. I mean he had no mind control or mind reading."
"What if they knew it was J'onn not Alex?" Alex asked.
"Sorry what?"
"What if they wanted J'onn?" Alex said, not helping Vasquez follow. Seeing her friend's confused look she said. "When Kara was taken we assumed Alex was a target and switched her out with J'onn, who was then taken. What if that is what they wanted. His powers are better for them."
"True, but he is an alien. We don't know if they could transfer his powers to a human." Vasquez said.
"But we can't rule it out. And Cam could be the key, transfer them to him and then transfer them to a human." Alex said. "I need to find out exactly what happened to him. In the mean time, if you are right, then all we need do is find out who is making a name for themselves." Alex said.
"We are already scanning the papers and published accounts."
"Good, I'll check in with Lena." Alex said as her phone rang. Recognising the area code, but not the number she answered. "Danvers … What? … When? … Is she okay? … I'll be right there."
"Problem?" Vasquez asked.
"Yeah, I have to go."

"Mom." The adult Alex called walking into the hospital room followed by her sister.
"I'm fine." Eliza said from the bed.
"You're in hospital." Kara reminded her.
"I slipped. But I am okay." She said as Alex picked up her chart. "You didn't have to come up here."
"Of course we did." Kara said. "And you are coming home with us."
"Kara, I appreciate the concern, but I am fine." Eliza said.
"What exactly happened?" Alex asked looking up from the chart.
"I slipped on a wet floor." Eliza said. "It was an accident and I am fine. I can stay in Midvale."
"Is there a reason you don't want to visit us?" Kara asked pouting.
"Yes, you have enough on your plates without worrying about me."
"Actually it is pretty quiet at home." Kara said.
"Can you go pack a bag for mom?" Alex asked her sister. "I'll deal with the paperwork here."
"I'll be back soon." Kara agreed leaving.
Once she had gone Alex looked at her mother.
"What?" Eliza asked.
"What aren't you telling us?"
"What do you mean?"
"I get you want to protect Kara, but she isn't here, so what aren't you telling us?" Alex asked.
"Alex, I am not hiding anything. I slipped. It was an accident. Apart from my wrist I am fine. You do not need to worry."
"You are in hospital." Alex pointed out.
"Alex, I am okay." Eliza repeated. "And I am fine staying in Midvale."
"That's not happening." Alex said. "Let us look after you for a change."

As the teenage Alex and MJ did their homework they heard the front door open and close.
"Through here." MJ shouted moments before three adults entered the room.
"Uzheiu!" The teenage Alex greeted before seeing her grandmother's cast. "What happened?"
"I slipped. But I am fine." Eliza said hugging her with one arm.
"You sure?" The teen asked pulling away.
"Yes." Eliza smiled causing the teen to look at her aunt and ask.
"Is she?"
"That's it." Eliza said. "All of you listen. I slipped, it was an accident. I am fine."
"I see it now." MJ commented.
"See what?" His mother asked confused.
"Where you learned to be a bad patient." He added before realising retreat was a better option. "Right well I'm going to do my homework upstairs."
"Me too." The teenage Alex said following her cousin upstairs.
"You sure you are really okay, you seem a little grouchy." Kara asked Eliza just as her phone rang saving her from Eliza's scorn.
"What's up?" Kara asked answering the call. "Okay, I'll be right there." She said after a few moments before ending the call and looking at Eliza and Alex. "I have to go, I'll see you later."
"What's wrong?" Eliza asked seeing Alex frown.
"Probably nothing, she just seems to be getting a lot of calls lately." Alex said before saying. "Go get settled in the lounge, I'll take your bags up."

"Morning." Kara said as she and her daughter entered her sister's house the next morning. On seeing Eliza she asked. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine."
"Well she was until mom made her eat her cooking." MJ replied.
"That's not funny." His mother replied.
"But not being denied." MJ pointed out.
"Don't you have school?" His mother asked.
"I'm going." He said grabbing another slice of toast. "Bye grandma." He added before leaving the house with his cousin.
"You really okay?" Kara asked Eliza. "You look a little tired."
"I just didn't get much sleep last night."
"Because your wrist was hurting?" Kara guessed.
"More like your sister was pacing."
"Why?" Kara asked Alex.
"Just couldn't shut off. I'm fine." Her sister said. "But I am going to be late." She then looked at her mother and said. "Call if you need anything." She then turned to Kara and said. "See you later." With that she hurried from the house.
"I was going to ask if you minded looking after Chewie today." Kara said looking at the dog. "But having seen your breakfast, do you want to go out and get some real food?"
"Don't you have to get to work?"
"I finished my article last night so I have time." Kara said.
"Then that would be lovely." Eliza smiled.
00
"So how are you coping with everything?" Eliza asked as they waited for their order.
"Everything?" Kara asked.
"You have a lot on, in and out of work."
"No different to normal." Kara shrugged.
"Your sister said she thought you were getting more calls than before."
"Really? I hadn't noticed." Kara said.
"Seeing you and your sister are insisting I stay, anything I can do to help?"
"We are meant to be looking after you." Kara reminded her.
"Kara, it is a cracked wrist, and I am going to be bored out of my mind."
"Well I know Alex will love spending time with you."

"Hey." Supergirl said entering her sister's office a little later.
"Hey." Alex said without looking up from her computer. "Everything okay?"
"It's fine."
"Just give me a minute." Alex said furiously typing.
"Want me to come back later?"
"No, just need to finish this sentence." Alex said before looking up and saying. "All done. So what's up?"
"I was thinking and what if Cam isn't unique. I mean obviously he isn't as Cory is his twin. But what if there are others?" Kara asked.
"They would make good targets, but there is no way to find them." Alex said. "It's not like people admit to being half alien."
"What if they did? I mean what if it is on medical records?"
"I know you believe the DEO acts with no regards for ethics, but we don't actually snoop around in medical files."
"You read Eliza's."
"Well she's mom, she's fair game." Alex said. "There's no way to identify them."
"You think they would volunteer themselves?"
"What?"
"What if I asked them to contact me, through CatCo."
"Why would they? I mean they probably want to not be known."
"What if Supergirl wants to meet them?"
"We have nothing to loose, but I can't see us getting many takers. I can also see lots of traps."
"They don't need traps." Kara said. "I mean Thorn and Tycho know who I am. Pretty sure Malaise does too. They could just walk into CatCo. But they don't. So the question is why?"
"They aren't ready." Alex guessed. "Which just means time is working for them." She added as the room started shaking. After a few moments everything stilled.
"I should go out there." Kara said.
"Wait, we can direct you to where you are most needed." Alex pointed out. "Let's get to the command room." She said leading the way.
"The kids haven't activated their watches, which is something." Kara said.
"It didn't feel that big, but then again the epicentre could have been far away." Alex said as they walled into the command room. As she did so she ordered. "Report."
"It's pretty localised." Vasquez said. "Plenty of reports of injuries, but nothing major so far."
"Where am I needed most?" Supergirl asked.
"Right now, here." Vasquez said pointing to the map.
"Wait." Rose shouted. "The city's underground tunnel has collapsed. They need help."
"On it." Kara said flying off.
