Time to continue the search for the helmet that can unlock true memories

Festival of Heroes Part 2
We come to Emerl and J make there way through the streets of Megaopolis on the mission to find the Lost Memory helmet which had been stolen. Of course, they end up fighting some Heartless as they made their way
During one fight J uses the Red Eyes card summon and turning into the black dragon and fires an Inferno Fire Blast at the ground destroying several of the Heartless
"Wow…that was intense" J said as she returns to normal.
"Yeah, such a good and useful dragon" Emerl said smiling fondly. As he ends the fight and learns the slight Zentetsuken. This slight allows him to break a card of an enemy and make it unreadable and do it require three attack cards the total to 0 or 27.
Along the way he found a chest containing a note for another slight called Gifted Miracles which Reloaded his cards, reseted the counter to rekiad but also restore Emerl, J and their enemies HP. While it sounded good Emerl wasn't sure to use it or not but made note of it.
"It looks good but yeah I can understand your hesitation, especially if we're fighting some annoying foes" J said nodding
"I know but nice to have just in case." Emerl said with a nod.
They keep going and soon reach the door to use the Key of Guidance card on it, the door then opens and they go through.
The group arrive in the museum dedicated to the heroics of the universe heroes and also the many villains that threaten it. Standing there in the villain section of the museum was elf-like woman in a green outfit with a red bandanna. Emerl assumes this is Talwyn Apogee, the one suspected of stealing the helmet.
"There you are Talwyn, Clank figured you'd be here." Ratchet said.
Talwyn turns and sees the group "I see, but who are your friends?"
"These are people who are interested in true memories" Clank explained "You do have the helmet, correct?"
"Well…yes I do" Talwyn said sighing and then goes to a display and takes from behind it a blue helmet with a lot of technical components.
"Do you think you can give it back?" Ratchet asked.
"If you insist, I suppose I can" Talwyn said thinking. "But I should admit..I'm afraid with something about this. All Nefarious did was just turn it on without wearing it and the second he did, the Heartless Virus appeared."
"At first I thought he intended that to happen but I saw just how surprised he was as the rest of us." She continued "That is why I became worried on what would happen if someone was to actually wear it."
"I mean yeah but I will admit I am excited" Ratchet said smiling.
"Through I agree with her Ratchet, this experiment does concern me too." Clank said "Is there another option we could do?"
"Hmmmmm I'm not sure, any of you have any ideas?" Emerl asked
"You got me" Ratchet said shrugging
"Oh I have an idea, hand it over!" A voice called out and suddenly bursting through the wall in a large metallic suit was a small alien with black ponytail hair and blue eyes in a business suit. "So nice you had a replica of my mech lying around"
Talwyn was knocked away but she recovers and sees she no long had the helmet "The helmet! He has it!"
"Chairman Drek! How are you still alive?!" Ratchet said in shock
"Oh the lombax and his robotic defect. It matters not how I survived" Deck said sorting his tie "When my spies informed me of the helmet, I figured I put it to better use then you lot. Honestly you should thank me"
He takes the helmet from the mech's claw and looks at it "Just turning it on with not wearing brought the Hearless here. What would happen if I was wearing it while it was on? That I smell a profit with."
"Poor heroes, you thwart my previous plan of making money from constantly making new planets I deliberately polluting the Blaarg homeworlds but this time I win" Drek said smirking "Time for the rise of Supreme Galactic President Drek!"
"There is no way we will allow that to happen!" Clank told him
Drek lauches his mech out the building and begins to escape
"Come on guys! After him!" J called out
The group begin to pursue the villain. Emerl got as they rush out of the museum a Key of Truth card.
As Emerl and J make their way through the streets J said "How did he even get by us without us seeing him, like he popped up out of nowhere?"
"He might have been aware Talwyn had the helmet but no idea where she hid it, so he waited for the right moment to strike" Emerl guessed.
"Yeah but maybe, you should double check your deck, who knows what that helmet will do to him" J said checking hers
Emerl nods and reworks his deck replacing some attack cards with better ones as they reach the door and he uses the Key of Truth card to unlock it.
They soon found themselves in the courtyard of Blarg Industries building in Megalopolis and Drek smirks, still in his mech but was wearing the helmet now.
"Drek! This is over hand over the helmet right now!" Ratchet told him
"Honestly, do heroes have a hard time knowing when to quit?" Drek said annoyed "You know, I am curious to see what happens when this is turn on!"
"Drek, don't!" Clank called out.
"Oh yes." Drek said smirking and and he flips the ship and the helmet whirs to life
"Uh oh…." Emerl said getting a bad feeling
The helmet statics and Drek had to do his best not to filch as he feels it working it's best in his brain "Agh!" He said clutching his head "What's this?! Something…deep inside of me…. it's completely terrifying!"
"Drek! What's wrong?!" Ratchet asked concerned.
"No! Stop! Get away!" Drek said completely terrified as he grabs the controls of his mech they see his eyes are glossed over almost as if something has a hold of his mind and making him see things not really there.
Either way he was a danger to a lot of people so the group had to stop him so they got ready to fight.
Drek pilots his mech to open fire on the Emerl and J but they avoid it. J flies up and uses her claws to attack Drek directly in the pilots seat and it works but he then knocks her away. Emerl mean while jumps on to his arm and throws his keep blade for a Blizzard Raid majorly hurting Drek.
"Stay away! Stay away!" Drek called out fireing a massive laser.
J grabs Emerl and lifts them up and said "Ah, it's hopeless he only has one weakspot from my scans and that's him directly."
"Let's try something, a team attack" Emerl suggest combining there attacks at the same time.
"Worth a shot." J said
Emerl aims his Keyblade armed with a Blizzard Raid and J fies and begins spinning and Drek looks up and is directly hit that knocks him out of the mech and onto the ground. The mechs controls were damages that is falls down on top of him as he screams in terror.
Shadows come from under the mech and the mech shatters into darkness and forms into a black card with Chairman Drek on it. Emerl takes it and pockets it. However, the group then see the helmet was left there broken into pieces.
The group took all the pieces they could salvage back to where Nefarious was working and their also was Talwyn as well.
"Grrr…confound that blasted Blaarg Drek!" Nefarious said annoyed at seeing his invention reduced to pieces "His meddling has scrapped my greatest invention! Only half of the materials here are salvagable"
"Hey Emerl, why not ask the Doc if there are enough compants to make a smaller version so you can use it?" Hiro suggested.
"Actually…I think I better not." Emerl said thinking.
"What, don't you want to try it? Too bad then" Nefarious told him. "Would have been a great experiment."
"Now that's enough Nefarious…" Talwyn said to him
"But Emerl, don't you want to find out your true memories?" Ratchet asked.
"I do, now more so then ever." Emerl said with a nod "But…there is this person known as Brutaka, I promised him I'll find them on my own."
"But after seeing what the helmet did to Drek, guess you figured it best to not force them out." Doom said and Emerl nods
"That is still what I don't understand, when I just turned on the helmet without wearing it the Heartless showed up." Nefarious said thinking "and when Drek wore it when it was turned on it drove him mad with fear. What could this mean?"
"Should be obvious but while it was a nice idea, this just means the invention is a failure." Talwyn told him.
"Nonsense! My research is never wrong!" Nefarious said in denial. "Drek must have discovered his true memories!" He then ponders "Perhaps, true memories unbalance the heart and cause unpredictable changes to the individual from within."
"If that's the case, what will happen when Emerl awakens his true memories?" J asked
"Going off what we saw with Drek, maybe something even more terrifying…" Nefarious guessed "But this all theory and hypothesis. Further research is needed for me to be 100% sure." He then goes to his computer.
"Are you okay Emerl? Does the doctor's theory have you worried?" Clank asked.
"I will a bit…it does" Emerl said nodding
"Well, that's good to hear." Ratchet said "In my experience in the hero game, fear and doubt are signs of a strong heart. Maybe that is why Qwark is hailed as a great hero."
"Ratchet!" Clank said though he chuckles. "But Ratchet is right, those emotions push your heart to strike out in new directions, take chances! Without them, your zest for life might fade…"
"Understandable, I know I have been scared before but that pushed me to be a better hero" Lilac said
"Agreed, Thanks Ratchet and Clank, I will remember that." Emerl said nodding.
"Then we all wish you luck on your journey" Ratchet said smiling.
The group nod and leave heading for the exit, they don't know what lies beyond it, but they were going to power through the fear they feel.
Another world down but given that was the last card what was next? Well stay turned to find out
