"You saw?" Supergirl asked entering the DEO control room.
"Yes. And his name is real. Or at least there was a Tyler Dunkley born in National City, who on paper looks like him." Alex said before asking. "What did Cat say?"
"Cat said it had been well orchestrated." Kara said. "And seeing those tunnels smelt of gasoline. You think he set it up?"
"I think you are jumping to conclusions, but those tunnels will be investigated." Alex said. "Cat say anything else?"
"Indomitable owns the wave and I can't win."
"She tell you what to do?"
"Nothing."
"As in she gave you no advice or told you to do nothing?"
"The latter."
"Then do that." Alex said. "Right now we know nothing about him, we need intel. If he shows up to save people we'll get that."
"Fine." Kara said.
"The question is, is he an alien, a meta, or created by Tycho?" Alex said. "Until we figure that out, we won't know his intentions. But something tells me when we do find them out we won't like them."
"So what do we do?"
"We do what we do when ever there is a new threat." Alex said. "We research the hell out of it and find the weakness."
"What can I do?"
"Take advantage of it and spend the time not responding to every disaster to help us research this. Take this as an opportunity to relax. Or help us research him. Although I think Cat will probably say it is better if you distance yourself."
"But you'll still keep me updated?"
"Of course I will." Alex said. "It has been a tough couple of days. Get some rest."

"So are we mentioning Indomitable?" Steve asked that evening as he and Lena waited for the adult Kara and Alex to return.
"Only if you want to see Kara twitch." Lena said.
"So no then." Steve said.
"That's a good plan." Lena said. "Although Kara may well have other ideas."
"But why now?" Steve asked.
"What?" Lena questioned.
"He said he is happy to let the world know who he is and wants to help. So why now? Why not when there was the invasion or when people thought Supergirl was dead?" He asked before noticing the look Lena was giving him. "What?"
"Nothing, it is just that I think you have spent too much time with Alex."
"That didn't sound like a compliment."
"It wasn't." Lena said as the front door opened and closed.
"Sorry we're late." Alex said entering the lounge.
"It's fine." Lena replied. "Everything okay?"
"No." Kara said sitting down on the couch. "But tonight I just want to forget about him so let's have fun."
"We are all set up with games." Lena said.
"And snacks." Steve added.
As Kara reached into the bowl of popcorn she asked. "Since when does protecting the county make me a political puppet?"
"Kara he is like a one hit wonder, he is news today and gone tomorrow." Lena said.
"I'm not so sure, I've got a really bad feeling about him." Kara said.
"It's the timing I don't like." Alex said.
"We were just discussing that." Lena commented.
"You were?" Kara asked looking from Steve to Lena.
"Yes. Poor Steve has been corrupted by Alex's paranoia."
"What don't you like about the timing?" Alex asked Steve.
"Why now, I mean today was kinda run of the mill. Why not when Supergirl was believed dead or Mongul was attacking?"
"Maybe he was behind the tunnel collapse and Earthquakes." Alex said. "Maybe they were planning something big."
"Then why today?" Kara asked.
"Perhaps they thought your powers would take longer to come back?" Lena asked. "Then when they did come back they had to accelerate their plans. Which means something big may be round the corner."

"Hey, what are you doing up?" Kara asked when she returned home and saw her daughter on the couch.
"Wanted to check on you. You okay?"
"Yes, why?"
"I saw the news."
"I'm fine."
"Really? He seemed like a jerk."
"I'm fine." Kara said. "I don't like him and I don't trust him, but while he is doing everything I have more time to spend with you."
"But don't you like saving people?"
"Yes, but the city is big enough for both of us."

"Shouldn't you be at work?" MJ asked when he saw his mother in the kitchen the next morning.
"It's Saturday." Alex said.
"And there is a new bad guy on the scene."
"We don't know he is bad." Alex said. "Besides your results are more important."
"I could email them to you." MJ shrugged.
"But then I wouldn't be here to celebrate with you." Alex said.
"You might want to temper your optimism. Or are you being sarcastic?"
"You'll be fine." Alex said as MJ's phone buzzed.
"It's Kara, she wants to know if I have been grounded yet." He said as his phone buzzed again.
"1410." He said.
"That's great." Alex said hugging him. "I'm proud of you."
"Not as high as Kara's though." He said. "Or Alex's or Martin's."
"It's not actually a competition." Alex said. "And I am so proud of you. What do you want to do to celebrate?"
"Don't you have to go to work?" MJ asked.
"It can wait." Alex said as his phone buzzed again.
"What's wrong?" Alex asked seeing his frown.
"Kara just congratulated me. But how did she know?"
"My guess is your aunt is listening, she told Alex, Alex told Kara."
"We need to sound proof this house." MJ said.
"Yes we do." Alex smiled. "But your aunt would figure out a way round it. So what do you want to do?"
"Actually, I have my thing with Diz today and I don't want to let Diz down … but we could do something tonight ... except I was meeting the others, but I can cancel?"
"We don't have to. How about this, do you thing with Diz. Then tonight I'll pay for you to go have fun with your friends, and then we'll hang out tomorrow." Alex suggested.
"Really?" MJ asked.
"Yes." Alex said passing him a credit card.
"Really?" MJ asked confused.
"Yes. Have fun, but don't go crazy." Alex smiled before hugging him again. "I'm proud of you."

"Want to hang out?" Alex asked her sister.
"Sure. Everything okay? I mean I heard you actually paid for MJ to have fun."
"Not just MJ." Alex said.
"I know. Alex was looking forward to it." Kara said. "But you don't normally embrace fun."
"MJ has been through a lot. I thought he deserved it. Besides I thought we could hang out."
"Always happy with that? But what have you done with Eliza?"
"Out with J'onn." Alex said sitting on the couch.
"So what do you want to do?" Kara asked.
"I thought we could talk. The truth is I'm a little worried about you." Alex said.
"Me? Why?"
"When you didn't have powers you were really down. You said you were tired of just surviving. Was that just a no power thing?"
"That was a me being scared thing. I'm okay now."
"You sure?"
"Yes, but maybe Indomitable isn't wrong. Maybe I am old and tired."
"While you may be old, you aren't past it." Alex smiled.
