A/N: Thanks for the reviews.
Baratta jennifer - they'll need a lot of luck.
As Alex and Kara came into the DEO the next morning Alex noticed Vasquez staring at tables of data and asked. "What are you looking at?"
"Do you have any idea how many natural disasters we should get in the city in a ten year period?" Vasquez asked.
"No."
"Well I do and we have had five times more than that, this year alone. And it isn't just this city, it is across the country."
"So manmade disasters?" Kara asked.
"Well, maybe, but how do we prove it?" Vasquez questioned.
"Are there any metas who can cause earthquakes?" Alex asked.
"Of this scale? Not that we know of." Vasquez said. "I mean there are plenty who can cause minor tremors and small storms, but no where near the magnitude of what we are seeing."
"Indomitable's powers, I know we think they may have been transferred, but could they have been enhanced as well?" Kara asked.
"Again it is possible, but no way to prove it." Vasquez said. "And I have no idea how he'd even do that."
"Maybe it is time we went on the attack." Alex said. "Let's assume we are right and Indomitable is one big experiment." Alex went on. "If he is based Cam and Cory, maybe we can figure out how to stem their powers."
"You mean create a meta specific black Kryptonite equivalent?" Vasquez asked.
"Yes."
"That sounds bad on so many levels." Kara argued.
"I know." Alex said. "Right now we need a way to stop him, but we also need to know his plans. We need to get close to Indomitable."
"So we put someone on the inside?" Vasquez asked.
"It's too risky, especially as Dodds now works for him. All we can do is hope someone turns against him." Alex said.
"Like my informant?" Kara asked.
"Technically she doesn't work for Indomitable. But if her friend makes contact that's a different thing." Alex said.
"Could we send someone to get a vitamin pill?" Kara asked.
"We can't send anyone who Dodd's might know. Which is basically everyone we trust." Alex said. "And even if we found someone we trusted, they wouldn't be trained. It would put whoever we sent at high risk."
"J'onn's a shapeshifter." Vasquez pointed out.
"I am sure they will have set up detectors." Alex asked.
"What about our robots? Could they go looking for dropped pills?"
"That's not a bad shout." Alex said.
"I'll see what I can do." Vasquez said.

"Frax, welcome back." Kara smiled when he beamed into her lounge.
"Hello Kara." He greeted.
"Alex isn't back from school yet."
"I know, I wanted to speak to you first."
"Everything okay?"
"It's fine. But my parents were wondering if Alex would like to spend some time on Dakran."
"Should she?" Kara asked.
"After last time probably not. But I did say I would ask. But I didn't want to ask Alex, until we had talked."
"I'm not sure Alex will want to go. But I won't stop you asking." Kara said. "But to be clear if Alex says no, what then?"
"Nothing. Well my parents my wish to visit Earth again. They do want to know Alex."
"I know." Kara said. "And I am fine with them visiting."
"So I have not offended you or Alex?"
"No. Why?"
"Alex has seemed more distant over these last few months."
"She's a teenager and she's trying to figure out her future. It isn't about you."
"Anything I can help with?" Frax asked.
"I know she is looking forward to training with you again." Kara said. "Just be patient with her."
"Of course." Frax said. "But do you think I should not ask her to come to Dakran? I don't want to upset her."
"She'll be more upset if she finds out you are hiding things." Kara said as the door opened and the teen came in.
"Hello Alex." Frax smiled.
"Frax." Alex said hugging him.
"I have missed you." Frax said.
"Me too." The teen replied pulling back. "Are you staying long?"
"Probably just a few weeks I'm afraid. But I will stay as long as I can." Frax smiled. "I hear you want to train."
"Yes."
"Shall we go then?"
"You okay with that?" Alex asked her mother.
"Go. I'm meeting Steve anyway so I will see you later."

"Hi Kara." Steve smiled as he sat opposite her. "Sorry I am late, difficult patient."
"It's fine. I got you coffee and a cake." Kara said pointing at the items.
"Thanks. So what can I do for you?" Steve asked.
"I had a visit the other day from one of your patients."
"Which one?"
"She never told me her name. She was homeless, had long black hair, a nose stud and had a friend called Sally, who had gone missing." Kara said. The description confusing Steve. "Anyway, she mentioned one of Indomitable's charities is handing out vitamins to non metas, I was wondering if you had heard that?"
"I haven't, but I can ask." Steve said.
"Thanks." Kara smiled. "But don't put yourself in danger."
"Everything else okay? You look a little tired."
"Just feel like I am fighting a losing battle." Kara said.
"You've faced worse odds." Steve said.
"Never on this public opinion battlefield."
"But you have Cat in your corner." Steve reminded her before asking. "Where's Alex? The younger one?"
"Training with her uncle."
"In that case, why don't we get some more sugar and you can rant about your nemesis."
"I couldn't do that to you." Kara said.
"I'm offering. And I have sugar needs too." He pointed out.
"What about Martin?"
"Finishing an assignment. So even if you don't come with me I will be servicing my sugar needs. The question is do I look like a weird, desperate loner when I do it?" Steve asked. "So what do you say?"
"Then sure."

"Hey." Kara called as she entered her apartment that evening. "How was training?"
"Good. But Frax wants me to go to Dakran. But I guess you know?"
"He mentioned it."
"You didn't stop him asking?"
"Alex, if you want to go you can."
"What if I don't want to go?"
"Also fine."
"Will they be disappointed?"
"Your grandparents?"
"Yes."
"They will. No matter how they may come across, they want to know you. They miss you."
"Are you going to make a speech about family and make me go?" The teen asked.
"No of course not. And a selfish part of me is glad you aren't going." Kara said. "But like I said before, your relationship with Frax and your grandparents is up to you." Kara said as the apartment door opened.
"Hi. Sorry." The older Alex greeted, sensing she was interrupting.
"Everything okay?" Kara asked.
"No." Alex said turning on the TV moments before Indomitable appeared.
"What's he doing now?" Kara asked.
"No idea, but these late night TV chats are never good." The older Alex said.
"Welcome to Late Night Talk. I'm Poppy Hunter."
"Her career has benefited." Alex commented as Poppy continued the introduction.
"I am once again with National City's favourite and most prolific hero. Actually that isn't fair, Indomitable doesn't just look after National City, he protects America. And for that we thank you." She said smiling at the hero.
"Serving this great nation is an honour and a responsibility I don't take lightly." Indomitable said flashing his white teeth. "And it is a by-product of that which I want to discuss tonight." He said before turning to look directly at the camera before going on.
"Accountability. It is a word that is thrown around a lot." Indomitable said. "But no one ever does anything with it. Until now."
"How do you mean?" The reporter Poppy asked.
"For years Supergirl has walked around above the law. Not just Supergirl of course. There has been Superman and he Martian as well. And to be clear it isn't just aliens it has been many metas as well. Some might say I have also not shown accountability. And that bothers me. Politicians and leaders are meant to be accountable and when they shirk away from their duties we get angry and rightly so. While I am not a politician, I am a leader so no more. From now on there will be full accountability. We will all be answerable for our perceived crimes. To show I am serious. I will go first."
"I'm not sure I understand." The reporter said.
"It's simple. If people feel I have committed a crime I implore them report it to the police. If they feel wronged by me sue me. I won't hide behind the government and sit outside the law. And to be clear no matter what happens I won't stop serving this city or this great nation." Indomitable said before pausing and looking into the distance. "Sorry, there is a big car crash down town, I have to go." He said flying off.
"What does this mean for you?" The teenage Alex asked her mother as her aunt turned off the TV.
"I don't know."
