"Alex!" Matt said rushing to her side with MJ.
"We need to stop the bleeding." MJ said as Matt took off his shirt and tried to apply pressure to the wound.
"Alex?" MJ called.
"Hurts." Alex complained, groaning as they pressed down on the wound.
"I've got you." Matt said squeezing her hand with one hand as his other applied pressure.
"Matt?"
"I'm right here." He said.
"Sorry." Alex gasped.
"It's okay. You'll be okay. I'm right here." Matt said trying to stop the bleeding.
"We all are." Martin said adding his shirt to the wound and applying pressure.
"Leave." Alex said.
"Not without you." MJ said.
"How touching." The Dr Pickford said approaching them. "But her advice was sound."
"Stay away from her." MJ said turning.
"Not happening. I need her. Don't worry, I'll save her. But first let's make sure she is useful." He said taking out a syringe from a small case.
"He said stay away from her." Mel said blocking his path.
"I don't care and to be clear I don't need any of you. Although you being here will offer a good demonstration." The man smiled.
"You aren't having her." MJ said standing next to Mel.
"Deal with them." Pickford said to some the guards who all stepped forwards and grabbed hold of the teens, dragging them off to one side. As MJ tried to resist he was met by a punch to the stomach.
"Let's hope he is your first victim. From what I understand he probably deserves it." The man with the syringe said as he approached Alex, who lay on the floor, blood still flowing from her wound. "That doesn't look good." He commented. "We better make this quick. With that he crouched down and jabbed the syringe in Alex's neck. As the contents mixed with her blood her veins started to glow red.
"This will be fun." Pickford said standing and walking away, signalling the group suppressing the teens to do the same.
"Alex!" MJ called stumbling to his cousin's side.
"Need to stop me now." Alex said.
"No." He said.
Shutting her eyes, Alex tired to concentrate. Moments later it felt like the who building moved just as the red lamps were turned off.

No idea if she was inching in the right direction or not, Kara painfully shuffled and dragged herself along the cold damp surface, even though she had no idea where she was and if anyone was even looking for her. As her head hit something cold and solid she tried to squeeze her arm up to her head, the movement causing her shoulder to scream in protest. But eventually her hand snaked up only to feel the cold surface sealing off her progress.
Screaming in frustration Kara gave herself a moment before shuffling down from the direction she had just come.

"Ma'am we may have something." Rose called.
"Supergirl?"
"No ma'am. A signal from Martin, MJ and Alex. It wasn't for long but we got a fix and they are in National City."
"What?" Alex asked. "Where?"
"Right here." Rose said pointing to a map.
"Keep searching for Supergirl. I'm going on the rescue team." Alex ordered.

As the lamps shut off and yellow light bathed the area, Alex's wound started to heal, but she remained unconscious.
"What's wrong with her?" Matt asked.
"I don't know." MJ said activating her necklace.
"What are you doing?"
"Stopping her using some of her powers."
"Why?"
"She'd want me to."
"What did they give her?" Mel asked.
"I don't know exactly. But it could make her go crazy."
"But she's not going to die?" Matt asked.
"No." MJ said.
"Then why isn't she waking up?" Matt asked.
"I don't know." MJ said. "But it is probably for the best."
"Why?"
"If that is what I think it was it will turn her into someone she isn't."
"Is there anything we can do for her?" Mel asked.
"I don't know." MJ said looking lost. "Right now we don't want her to wake up, but if she does, none of what happens is her fault."

"Ma'am." Rose said approaching Vasquez. "Unrest has spread all over the country. LEOs are doing their best to contain, but aliens are being targeted and fighting back."
"Are all the transmitters off?"
"As far as we know. But there could be others."
"Right now we have to focus on stopping Indomitable and his team, but any intel that would help the LEOs send their way."
"Yes ma'am."

"MJ?" The older Alex said rushing into the room with a squad of DEO agents.
"Mom!" MJ asked looking up.
"Are any of you hurt?" Alex asked taking in the scene.
"Alex. She won't wake up, but her wounds have healed." MJ said. "I think they gave her Red-K or something similar."
"What exactly happened?" Alex said as she started to examine her niece, seeing her blood soaked torso.
"They had red lamps and they were injecting stuff into her. They said they wanted her to show her true colours." MJ said, a quiver in his voice giving away how scared he was.
"Mayling. Get Alex to Lena's lab." Alex barked.
"Yes ma'am."
"Make sure she is secure." Alex added.
"Yes ma'am." The DEO agent said as his team started to move the teenage Alex into what looked like a coffin.
"What are you doing to her?" Matt asked.
"Helping her." The older Alex said before looking at the group of teens. "What about the rest of you?"
"Alex saved us." Mel said. "But MJ got hurt."
"MJ?" His mother asked looking at him.
"I'm fine." MJ said.
"I need all of you to come with me, who knows what you have been exposed to." Alex said.
"What about Alex?" Martin asked.
"She'll be in the same place." Alex assured him.

"She has definitely been exposed to Red K." Lena said looking at the read outs an hour later. "Nothing else abnormal is showing up."
"Then why isn't she awake?" Alex asked.
"No idea." Lena said. "I'll run more tests."
"You up for this, your stab wo-"
"Alex, I'm fine. I have this. Go look for Kara."
"You sure?" Alex said.
"Yes. Your mother will be here soon anyway."
"Okay, but first I need to find out what happened. I'm going to speak to MJ." Alex said. "Call me if anything changes."
"Of course." Lena said checking the forcefield was up.

As Alex walked into the room the other teens were waiting she went straight to her son and hugged him.
"Is Alex okay?" MJ asked, fearing the worse.
"She's still unconscious." His mother said pulling away.
"Why isn't she waking up?"
"I don't know. All we know is she was exposed to Red K."
"Can we see her?" Mel asked.
"Not until the Red-K is out of her system." The older Alex responded.
"Where's aunt Kara?" MJ asked, the question wrong footing Alex momentarily.
"I don't know." His mother said.
"Indomitable said he killed her, or was killing her, or wanted Alex to kill her." MJ said not able to fully remember.
"Well it's not the first time someone has claimed that." His mother said "Wait Indomitable? I need you to tell me everything that happened."
"That doesn't matter, what matters is Indomitable has Lobo."
"What?" Alex asked completely lost.
"Lobo. He came to rescue Alex, only he got captured." Seeing his mother's expression he said. "That's really bad isn't it?"
"Yeah." Alex said.
"You should go."
"Mel said you got hurt." Alex said.
"I'm fine. Go. If aunt Kara isn't here when Alex wakes up she is going to freak out."
"Okay, your grandmother will be here soon. Let her know if anything is wrong." Alex said hugging her son and leaving.
Once she had gone the teens went back to sitting in silence, until eventually Matt asked MJ.
"Why did he think she'd attack you?"
"What?" MJ asked.
"When that guy injected whatever it was into her he kinda implied she'd attack you. Why?"
"Long story." MJ shrugged.
"He was a jerk for a year." Martin said. "Not his fault, kind of, but still a jerk."
"Okay, not such a long story." MJ said as the group fell silent again.
After several minutes Mel suddenly said to MJ.
"You cut yourself shaving."
"What?" He asked looking confused.
"And you had appendicitis." She went on.
"Yeah?" MJ said confused.
"They seem kinda human traits." Mel said.
"He's not an alien." Martin cut in, guessing what she was getting at. "Or a meta. He has no powers."
"But Alex is?" Mel asked confused.
"Her mom was adopted by my grandmother." MJ explained.
"But she was bleeding."
"Having powers doesn't make her invincible."
"But she still tried to save us." Mel said.
"Well yeah. She's a good person." MJ said. "Which is why she is going to feel really bad when she wakes up."
"Why?" Mel asked.
"You guys got hurt, you found out she'd been lying to you, she got infected by Red-K." MJ listed.
"But none of that is her fault." Mel said.
"Not the way she'll see it." MJ said before noticing Matt was sitting in the corner, his clothes and hands still covered in blood. Following his gaze Martin approached Matt and said.
"If you can't cope with this then just leave."
"What?" He asked looking up, still looking shocked.
"Alex doesn't need any more crap in her life. If you can't cope with her being an alien you should leave."
"Her being an alien I'm fine with. Her nearly dying not so much." Matt said looking at his blood stained hands just as the door opened.
"MJ." Eliza called walking into the room.
"Grandma." MJ said hugging her. "Has Alex woken up yet?"
"No, but she's stable." Eliza said pulling away from MJ and looking at the others. "Are you hurt?" Eliza asked seeing Matt's blood stained T-shirt and hands. Following her gaze he said.
"No. It's Alex's."
"There are some clean clothes through there if you want to change." Eliza said wondering what exactly had happened to her granddaughter.
"Can we see Alex?" Martin asked.
"Not yet, we need to make sure whatever they gave her is out of her system." Eliza said. "But the good news is your tests came back normal. However, right now it isn't safe out there." Eliza said. "You are all adults, so I can't force you to stay, but you will be safer here."
"I'm in no rush to see Indomitable again." Mel said.
