Baratta jennifer -The bad guys still have plenty of ways to bring havoc.
As Alex lay on the bed staring at the wall while stroking Chewie, who sat loyally next to her, she heard the door open. Assuming it was Lena or Eliza she rolled over only to see Matt.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked.
"I'm sorry." She immediately apologised.
"Why are you apologising? You are the one who got hurt trying to save me." He said confused.
"I lied to you."
"No you didn't, you just didn't tell me everything and seeing we have been dating less than two months, I assumed there was lots you hadn't told me. You being an alien wasn't top of my list, but I guess it makes sense now." He said before frowning. "Oh my god, your mom is Supergirl. That is why you are always so stressed when she is on the news. And I just made light of it. I'm sorry."
"You didn't know." Alex said.
"Not really an excuse. I'm sorry." Matt said. "Are you really okay? I mean there was so much blood and then you wouldn't wake up."
"I'm okay." The teenage Alex said.
"Really? Because I'm not and all I did was stand there." He said walking towards Alex, but as he approached Chewie started to growl at him.
"It's okay." Alex said to the dog who kept growling.
"Super hero dog?" Matt asked.
"No. Apart from his appetite he is normal." Alex said stroking Chewie, who seemed appeased while he was getting attention.
"Chewie right?" Matt asked, trying to remember what Alex had told him.
"Yes." Alex said as Matt nervously held out his hand and stroked Chewie.
"He won't bite, unless you are a shapeshifter. But I guess he wouldn't know with you." Alex said as Chewie happily enjoyed being the centre of attention.
"Can I ask something?" Matt asked after a moment.
"Sure."
"Why me?"
"As in why did you get dragged into this? That's my fault. I'm so-"
"No I meant why date me? I mean I've been thinking about it for awhile and it didn't make sense and now I know you are well a hero it makes even less sense."
"What?" Alex asked confused.
"I have being trying to figure out why someone would want to spend time with me. I'm a nobody."
"No you're not."
"Yeah, I am. I was useless back there."
"You stood up to Indomitable."
"Using electricity which he is immune to, so I was worse than useless. Plus I have no powers-"
"Powers are over rated." Alex said.
"I have nothing to offer you."
"Sure you do. You make me feel normal, like I belong. You're the only one outside my family and Martin and Mel to do that." Alex said as she tried to sit up only for dizziness to strike.
"What's wrong?" Matt asked.
"Just weak, I burnt a lot of calories."
"We have food here. I'll get you some." Matt said hurrying to the door.
"You're coming back?"
"Of course I am. Why wouldn't I?"

"We have found him." Frax said as he pulled a map up on the screen. "He is in this building at the top. We have done further scans and there are several humans in that building." Frax said. "But I can't tell you who the humans are."
"My guess is Indomitable." Kara said miserably.
"There is another problem." Frax said.
"What?"
"I tried to transport Lobo out of there, but our system couldn't get a lock. There is something in the building interfering with it."
"There goes the escape plan." Alex said looking at the screen.
"How far away from the building do I need to be for the transporter to work?" Kara asked.
"I can't answer that without knowing the source of the interference." Frax said.
"I could send a DEO team in there to find it and remove it." Alex said.
"There's no time. Besides that is in the middle of the riots, they wouldn't get there safely." Kara said. "I'll try grabbing Lobo and leaving."
"Pretty sure it won't be that easy." Alex said.
"I know." Kara said.

"Where's Matt?" The younger Kara asked when she entered her cousin's room a couple of minutes later.
"Gone to get food."
"What did he say?"
"He's seems fine with everything."
"Told you." Kara smiled. "How are you feeling?"
"Tired."
"I'm not surprised. Make sure you eat the food Matt brings." Her cousin warned.
"Can you stay until he gets back?"
"Of course." Kara smiled. But seeing the frown behind the smile Alex asked.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing for you to worry about." Kara said.
"What is it?" Alex pressed.
"Diz is missing." Kara explained. "But there isn't anything we can do, so just focus on recovering."
"You okay?" Alex asked her.
"Which part of focus on recovering did you not understand?" Kara asked.
"Your problems will help me forget what happened and what is happening to mom." Alex countered.
"Nice try, but you don't have the energy to worry about anything." Her cousin pointed out. "You look terrible."
"Thanks."
"I'm serious, should I get grandma?"
"I just need rest." Alex said.
"Then why aren't you sleeping?"
"I keep seeing it." The teenage Alex said.
"What happened to you?" Her cousin guessed.
"Yeah."
"You're safe now." Kara said.
"But mom isn't."
"Your mom always finds a way." Kara reminded her. "You need to have faith."
"I'm scared."
"I know, but it will be okay. Although if your mom comes back and sees you looking this bad she will never let you out of her sight again."
"Fine, I'll rest." Alex said.
"Why don't I set a movie up on this?" Kara offered waving a tablet.
"Sure."
"I'll pick." Kara said tapping on the screen. But by the time the movie was ready Alex was asleep. Quietly she stopped the movie and put the tablet down just as the door opened.
"Is she okay?" Matt asked.
"Just tired. When she wakes up make sure she eats. And don't leave her alone."

"You are like a bad fungal infection." Indomitable said when Supergirl landed in the room, where Lobo was lying, unmoving, on a bed. "Unwanted, unsightly and hard to get rid of. But dedicate the time to the correct treatment and it can be irradiated. As can you."
"Seeing you hate aliens so much, why do you have Lobo?" Supergirl asked.
"You misunderstand me. I don't hate aliens. In fact, I want to use them, they are good tools. You are a prime example, you have played your role perfectly. Your pathetic performance earlier inspired the people to join me. Every riot that started was thanks to you. But it is time for you to come to an end." Indomitable smiled. "But first you need a reunion." He added before nodding at one of his men who pressed a button near Lobo. Moments later the large alien sat up.
"The latest addition to my army." Indomitable said.
"You have spent months telling humans not to trust aliens, and now you are recruiting them?" Supergirl asked.
"No no no. I told you he is a tool. A puppet He will be used by me." Indomitable smiled before looking at Lobo and saying. "Get her, but I need her alive."
Nodding Lobo launched himself at Supergirl, who grabbed hold of him and flew out of the window, hoping Frax would transport them away. However, when she and Lobo continued to fly she guessed the transporter still wouldn't work, implying the source of interference was Lobo.
Knowing help wasn't coming Kara tried to fly them down to a quieter part of the city, but as they flew Lobo unleashed several punches on her resulting in them crashing into the ground below.
Recovering first Lobo unleashed several punches on Supergirl who was driven further into the ground before finally managing to knee him in the groin.
"Hate it when yer do that." Lobo said.
"Wait, what? Aren't you being controlled?" Kara asked looking at him.
"The Main Man?" Lobo asked.
"So are you you?" Supergirl asked.
"The one any only."
"Thank Rao." Supergirl said.
"Knew you wanted me." Lobo grinned before punching her.
"If you are you, why are we fighting?"
"Need to get the knots out."
"Of what? And aren't you meant to not be attacking me?"
"I can't kill yer, but I can beat you."
"For the record, you have stabbed me twice, there won't be a third time."
"Plenty of other ways to Frak." He said. "But now I'm warmed up, want to kick him where he wipes?"
"Wait, what?" Kara asked confused.
"Only we need a way in. So you need to well lose." He said before attacking her again.

"I thought you had this figured out." The older Alex said as she paced behind Frax.
"Lobo must be wearing a disrupter of some sort." Frax said. "There is nothing we can do."
"You want to tell Alex that?" The older Alex questioned.
"We are doing all we can." Frax protested. "I could transport you to within half a mile of their location." Frax offered. "Or back to the DEO."
"Send me to the DEO." Alex said. "I'll find some back up."
"Of course, but I will keep working on a solution here." He said pressing some buttons moments before Alex disappeared.
"What have we got?" Alex asked as she appeared next to Vasquez.
"The whole city is insane. LEOs are trying to protect schools and hospitals. We are doing our best to hold back, well, everyone. Plus there was an attack on the desert base twenty minutes ago. Don't worry they repelled it and they are safe. But we are guessing they wanted to release the prisoners."
"What about J'onn, Superman and the Flash?"
"All out of the city fighting battles. It looks like Indomitable's most trusted Lieutenants are waging wars in key cities." Vasquez said pointing at a map. "While they are not as powerful as Indomitable they are still very powerful."
"You think our cells can hold them?" Alex asked.
"Not the main ones. But the new cell should." Vasquez said. "But first we'd need to capture them."
"I have an idea about that."
"What?" Vasquez asked.
"Cheat." Alex said before grabbing her radio.
"Frax, new plan, I need you to transport someone from one location to another."
"Okay." Frax said over the radio.
"I am sending you details. Let me know if you can do it."
"Of course." Frax replied.
"Wait your plan is to transport them into a jail cell?" Vasquez asked.
"Yes."
"That sounds a little too easy."
"We'll see." Alex said. "I need a team set up by the new cell."
"They already are." Vasquez said.
"Alex." Frax said over the radio. "Transporting to that location will be easy. But we can't pick out your target. We need to put a tracker on it."

"You need to not watch that." Matt said taking Alex's phone off her where she was watching Lobo attack her mother.
"You're right, I should be out there."
"And do what?" Matt asked. "I mean you can barely sit up."
"I'm fine." Alex said getting off the bed and taking a few steps only to collapse, saved from hitting the floor by Matt catching her.
"Easy." He said holding her.
"I'm okay." She said.
"Not sure I believe you." Matt said helping her back to the bed.
"I can't sit here and do nothing." Alex protested.
"Well, why don't we see the others?" He suggested. "If you can make it there, we'll talk."
"I can't even make it to the door." Alex said miserably.
"Your cousin said you needed to eat, but you have really only picked at the food. So why don't you eat? Then we'll try again?" Matt suggested.
