As Alex marched into the infirmary she scanned the room for the newcomers. Seeing Diz sitting on a gurney she strode over to him and hugged him.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"Kar?" He asked.
"She's fine." Alex said pulling away.
"They said sh-" Diz said looking upset.
"Diz, she's safe." Alex said. "What about you?" She asked concerned with how battered and pale he was looking.
"I'm okay, thanks to Rice." He said looking over to his teammate who was being stitched up.
"You sure you are okay?" Alex asked.
"Umm, yeah." He said.
"In which case I need you to go with Ruby."

"He was an idiot." MJ said as he sat next to his cousin.
"Who?" Alex asked looking over to him.
"Indomitable. The only freak in that room was him."
"I was the one who could have killed you."
"Doubt it. You were asleep the whole time." MJ said.
"And if I had woken up?"
"He didn't need drugs to turn him into a killer. He was a killer. He gave you drugs and you still didn't give him what he wanted." MJ argued.
"But I could have. What if I had hurt you or worse?"
"Seeing how much I have hurt you in the past, some might say it would have been karma. But the point is you didn't hurt me."
"Here." The younger Kara said wrapping a blanket round her cousin, whose hands were shaking. "You okay? You aren't looking so good."
"Just tired."
"You should get back to the lamp room." The younger Kara said looking at Matt who helped Alex to her feet just as the door opened.
"Alex, what are you doing in here? You need to rest under the lamps." Eliza said when she saw her granddaughter.
"I'm just taking her." Matt said leading Alex out of the room and down the corridor.
As they walked Alex got more and more tired before passing out. Catching her Matt lifted her up and started to carry her. However after a few steps his arms started to tremble with effort before suddenly the strain was taken from him.
"I've got her." Diz said taking Alex before asking. "Lamp room?"
"Umm, yes." Matt said.
"You okay?" Diz asked Matt.
"Umm, fine." He said wondering who was carrying his girlfriend, but guessing he knew Alex well he asked. "Is she okay?"
"She's normally pretty tired after using her powers in a big way. She done that?" Diz said.
"Yeah."
"She should be okay then." Diz said walking into the lamp room and putting Alex on the bed. "But I'll get Eliza or Lena down to check on her." He added as Chewie scampered into the room and tried to jump up on the bed.
Bending down Diz picked up Chewie and placed him on the side of the bed.
"I'll leave you to it." Diz said to Matt before adding. "Look after her."
As Diz walked down the corridor he saw Eliza who immediately hugged him and asked.
"Diz, are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
"You don't look it." Eliza said noticing all the stitches.
"Just scrapes." He shrugged.
"When did you get here?"
"A few minutes ago. Alex is in the lamp room, but she collapsed on the way."
"I'll check on her." Eliza said. "Kara is with the others."
"Kar is here?" Diz asked.
"Yes." Eliza confirmed. The single word causing Diz to run off to the main lab.

As Diz entered the larger lab several eyes turned to him before he found himself being hugged by Kara.
"Where have you been?" She asked.
"We got attacked. But I'm fine." Diz said holding her very tightly. Sensing something wasn't right Kara silently held him until eventually he pulled away and asked.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were meant to stay away from trouble."
"I couldn't, not when you were missing."
"I'm okay." He said before looking over at MJ and asking.
"You okay?"
"I'm fine." The teen said before asking. "What's happening out there?"
"You aren't watching?" Diz asked.
"Of course we are, but the news doesn't tell us everything." MJ said. "So what's happening?"
"Nothing good." Diz replied.
"Did you see mom?" The younger Kara asked.
"Yeah, she came to make sure I was okay."
"Was she okay?"
"Stressed." Diz said. "But yes."
"I'm going to grab some food, want to come with me?" Kara asked Diz, knowing he wasn't telling her something.
"Sure." He said following her out of the room. Once the door was shut Kara turned to face him to find out what he was hiding, only to find herself being hugged again.
"What's wrong?" Kara asked as she held him.
"I just, I, I'm okay." Diz said holding her. After a few minutes he pulled away looking embarrassed. "I'm sorry."
"For what?" The younger Kara asked, her eyes burning with concern.
"Your mom sent me to look after you guys, not the other way round."
"Pretty sure it is the other way round."
"What?" Diz asked confused.
"I think she sent you here so you'd be safe." Kara explained before asking. "What happened out there?"
"I was betrayed and beaten then saved by the guy I trusted the least." He listed before adding. "I thought you were dead."
"I'm fine." Kara said hugging him.

"I have every power. I am immortal and unbeatable." Indomitable said as he threw both Lobo and Supergirl into a wall. "I am perfection."
"Not really." Lobo said getting to his feet. "You could be better." He added before sitting on a piece of fallen wall and taken out a cigar.
"Better?" Indomitable asked. "Nothing compares to me." He added before attacking Supergirl again making a show of beating her.
"Why you aren't helping?" Supergirl asked Lobo as she got to her feet.
"That's easy. I'm having enough fun watching. Besides I'm thinking." Lobo said.
"About?"
"Why he didn't merge with World Killer-1. Instead he went for you." He said looking at Indomitable. "Why?"
"Aliens are scum." Indomitable said.
"She's an alien. You wanted her." Lobo said. "You wanted me. Said we were tools."
"As a stepping stone."
"Well you made the wrong choice." Lobo said. "Worldkiller-1 was perfect. Only they'd be in control." He then grinned and said. "You wanna be the main man."
"I am the main man. All others pale in comparison." Indomitable said, sweat pouring down his forehead, as Supergirl launched another attack, which Lobo watched intently.
When Supergirl ended up being thrown into a wall Lobo asked Indomitable.
"Getting bored?"
"Don't worry I'll get to you." Indomitable said walking to Kara before kicking her so hard she flew several yards backwards.
Suddenly figuring out what was happening Lobo stood and crushed his cigar before commenting. "This will be so fun."
"What?" Indomitable asked.
"Humans are weak. You have enhanced them, but not fixed them. You are unstable. And when you go it will be so much fun." Lobo smiled. "Yer think I've not seen this before. Normally it is to create a weapon to kill me. But this is so much more fun." He said before launching himself at Indomitable crashing them both through the window and across the gap to the skyscraper opposite.
Now Kara was free of Lobo Alex radioed.
"Do you want to Frax to teleport you out?"
"No. I need to finish this." Kara said getting to her feet and wiping the blood from her nose before stumbling to the window. She was about to fly over to the adjacent building when suddenly it collapsed.

"Matt?" Alex asked as she came round.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" Matt asked squeezing her hand.
"Okay. How did I get here?"
"Well we were walking and then you collapsed."
"You carried me?"
"No. Some guy did."
"Some guy?"
"Kinda scary looking."
"Define scary looking?"
"He had muscles. I may have recognised him from your photos. Diz maybe."
"Diz was here? Was he okay?"
"He looked banged up, but he carried you." Matt said. "Then your grandmother came to check on you and I think she also blamed me for you collapsing."
"Has mom come back yet?"
"No."
"Do you know what's happening out there?"
"No, sorry. I've been in here with you." He said. "But your grandmother said she'd tell you when there was news."

"You actually have a plan?" Supergirl asked as she landed next to Lobo. "Apart from destroy the city?"
"Oh yer."
"What?"
"We need to annoy him."
"Good." Supergirl said. "I mean that's kinda your superpower." She pointed out. "But why?"
"He's unstable."
"Well yeah, he has murdered hundreds if not more."
"So have I." Lobo said.
"I rest my case."
"So you do have some fight in you." Lobo said before adding. "He's getting weaker."
"His powers are fading?" Kara asked.
"Kinda." Lobo said, although Kara got an uneasy feeling. Before she could dwell on it Lobo asked. "So you in?"
"In what?"
"Croaking him."
"I'm not killing him." Supergirl said.
"Okay, well I am." Lobo said as the debris moved and a dust covered Indomitable emerged, his eyes glowing red.
"You definitely annoyed him." Supergirl said as Indomitable let out a huge blast of energy towards Lobo.
In response Lobo took out another cigar and held it and asked.
"Can you go again? I need a light."
Angered further Indomitable fired electricity, heat vision and spikes at Lobo who despite falling to his knees laughed like a mad man.
Not wanting him to kill Lobo, Supergirl flew at speed towards Indomitable, grabbing hold of him and flying him straight into the original building, crashing through so many support beams that it also crumbled on top of them.
As Indomitable emerged form the dusty remnants he said, his voice quivering with anger. "That was my building."
"Need a better builder." Lobo smiled. "And a better body. Those powers seem to be weakening." Lobo added as he and Indomitable started throwing each other against buildings.
"Supergirl, we are getting a lot of strange readings." Alex said over the radio.
"Define strange." Kara said unsteadily getting to her feet.
"High energy and radiation."
"You think there is a bomb?" Supergirl asked looking round.
"I don't know, but the readings have been increasing for eight minutes."
"How long has Lobo been taken this seriously?" Kara asked.
"Hang on." Alex said, before saying. "Nine minutes. Do you think he has a bomb?"
"Don't know, but something tells me he has something to do with it." Supergirl said as she watched another cloud of dust appear. With that she took off and landed next to Lobo and asked.
"Where's the bomb?"
"You're looking at it." Lobo grinned.
"What?" Kara asked.
"Humans are weak. His cells can't cope. But thanks to the changes he has turned himself into a nuke. About to go critical."
"Your plan was to have him explode and take out the city?" Supergirl asked Lobo.
"I'd survive." Lobo said.
"You're immortal." Supergirl pointed out.
"Hence, I'd survive."
"What about Alex? Aren't you meant to protect her?"
"She'd be fine."
"You sure about that?"
"No one round to complain if I'm wrong."
"You are unbelievable." Supergirl said as Indomitable flew into her sending her crashing through another wall. But instead of suffering a follow up punch she saw Indomitable be thrown by Lobo.
"Wait, why are you helping?" Supergirl asked, knowing she was still missing something.
"The more he uses the more he loses." Lobo grinned just before he was hit by electricity from Indomitable's finger tips. Only this time he was able to stay on his feet.
"That's it. Charge the main man." Lobo laughed.
"He's right, you are getting weaker." Supergirl said to Indomitable.
"I'll still beat you." Indomitable said as Kara thought about her options. After a moment she said to Lobo. "Hold him still."
"Why?" Lobo asked.
"You wanted fun." Supergirl said.
Curious Lobo fought and grappled with Indomitable before manage to grab him from behind. Seeing her chance Supergirl landed in front of the pair and wrapped her arms round both of them so Indomitable was sandwiched between them. As she held him, she was surprised with how hot he was. But she did not have time to think as Alex said. "Radiation is at dangerous levels."
"On it." Supergirl said taking to the skies, taking Indomitable and Lobo with her. As she flew out of the city, over the ocean, trying to gain as much altitude as possible.
"What yer doing?"
"You are helping one way or the other." Supergirl said holding onto Lobo and Indomitable as tightly as possible, despite both resisting.
"Supergirl, talk to me." Alex said over the radio.
"Indomitable has turned himself into a bomb. Lobo said nuke. Can't risk it." Supergirl said, her muscles straining to keep Lobo and Indomitable with her.
"Thought you didn't believe in killing." Lobo said as he tried to yank himself free.
"You're immortal. You can absorb the blast." Supergirl said, trying to fly faster despite the heavy baggage.
"Let him go." Alex ordered over the radio.
"Not yet. Need more distance." Kara said.
Moments later there was a huge explosion, causing the DEO to shake.
"What happened?" Alex asked.
"Don't know sensors are down." Rose said. "No answer from Supergirl. Her last known position was sent to Team Delta, they are on route."
