A/N: Thanks for the reviews.
Baratta jennifer- they'll need plenty of help.
"All done." Steve said applying the final dressing.
"Why isn't she breathing right?" Diz asked noticing her laboured breathing.
"She lost a lot of blood. So there are less blood cells to carry the oxygen. Also her body is trying to protect the core organs, that is why she is pale and her hands are cold." Steve explained.
"What can we do?" Diz asked.
"If we were in a hospital she'd get a transfusion. But we're not. So all we can do is wait." Steve said as he removed his gloves before digging round in his bag.
"What about my blood?" Diz asked.
"Are you the same type?"
"I don't know."
"Then no." Steve said before placing some sensors on Kara. "These sensors will let us know how she is doing. But with no internet I'll need you to watch them. If the alarm rings call me straight away."
"Okay." Diz said.
"I'm going to check on the others. Let me know if anything changes." Steve said before collecting the blood stained materials and putting them in a bag before walking out to the lounge.
"Is she okay?" MJ asked.
"The bullet didn't hit anything." Steve said. "I have closed the wound, but she lost a lot of blood."
"But will she be okay?" MJ pressed.
"Right now the biggest risk is infection. So we need to monitor her closely. If she shows signs of infection we will need to get to medicine." Steve said. "Plus in a few hours we'll run out of morphine."
"Tell me what you need and I can go." Holland said.
"Is it safe out there?" Steve asked.
"No. It's like Mad Max." Mel said.
"Then we stay together for now. We have a few hours before we'll need supplies." Steve said. "In the mean time I'll prepare a list just in case." He then looked round the room and asked. "Any other injuries?"
"No." The trio of teen said.
Not entirely believing them he looked straight at Martin who eventually said.
"MJ hit the ground kinda hard."
"I'm fine, you need to worry about Kara." MJ said.
"Kara is resting, but when she wakes up she'll be worried about you, so let me make sure there is no damage." Steve said.

"What's going on?" Matt asked as he came back into the conservatory where his mother was waiting with Jane and many plates of baked items.
"You said Alex needs calories." His mother said. "This way when she wakes up she has all the food she needs."
"So would half the town." Matt commented as he looked at the plates of food. "How did you even bake them in a power cut?"
"Some I did before the power outage, for your birthday."
"And the rest?"
"We have a generator." She reminded him.
"I thought we had a no cooking off the generator policy."
"Well this was an emergency." His mother said before asking. "Can you contact her mom?"
"Not until the networks are back." Matt said.
"Anything else we can do for her?"
"I don't know. I think she just needs to recover her energy." Matt said.
"Have you seen her like this before?"
"Yes, but she was worse. I mean she had been stabbed by Indomitable and then lifted a building so I don't know how this compares."
"Stabbed?" Jane asked eyes wide.
"Um yeah." Matt said.
"That was just after exams?" His mother guessed.
"Yes."
"Did Indomitable hurt you?"
"No. Alex saved me. It's how she got stabbed." Matt said. "Can we not talk about this?"
"Okay." His mother said. "I'll leave you to it." She said leaving the room. Seeing Jane was still staring at him he asked.
"What?"
"You know I'm not going to let it go?"
"Yes. But right now can we worry about Alex?"
"Fine." Jane said. "But we will talk."

"Okay, we can confirm all Myriad like signals have been deactivated." Alex said over the radio to her sister.
"Great, but there is a lot of backlash out here."
"The FBI will help."
"Not sure the people are seeing the difference between the FBI and the police." Supergirl reported. "Any idea when some one will explain what happened?"
"Not until internet, phones and power are back. But we are working on on something that could be used before then." Alex said.
"Might want to work faster." Supergirl said.
"Okay, but we won't reach everyone. And we need you to get Cat."
"And bring her where?" Supergirl asked.
"DEO."
"Okay, I'll deal with this, then get her." Kara said separating another fight before flying to CatCo.

"How are you doing?" Steve asked approaching the bed where Kara was lying, Diz at her side.
"Cold." She said.
"I know, that will last for a while." Steve said as he looked at some of the readings. "I need to have a look the wound and make sure it isn't getting infected. But we are out of pain meds so it may hurt."
"Okay." The teenage Kara said as Diz held her tighter. "MJ okay?"
"He's fine." Steve said as he put on some gloves before removing the dressing.
"What about mom?"
"No news. Phones, internet, TV, all down." Steve said. "If I hear anything I'll let you know." He said as Kara gasped in pain and he looked at the wound. "Sorry."
"Is that bad?" Diz asked.
"It's normal." Steve said. "Like I said it will hurt for a while. Good news is there is no sign of infection at the moment." He said before applying another dressing. Once he was done he looked at Kara and asked. "You think you can try drinking something?"
"Can't I just sleep?"
"After you have had some liquids." Steve said before he looked at the various sensors again. "I'll grab that, I'll be right back."

"Everything is wired up, we'll draw power from as many of the systems as we can, but to have multiple versions all over the city is going to be hard. Especially as we still don't interface well into Kryptonian technology." Vasquez said.
"How long do we have?" Alex asked.
"Pretty sure we'll get ninety seconds. But no guarantees."
"That doesn't inspire confidence." Alex said.
"Sorry. But if we are going to do this, we should do it soon. Power is still quite flakey." Vasquez warned.
"Okay, we'll go in five minutes." Alex said walking off to one of the labs where Supergirl was standing with Cat reading a script.
"Okay, we are good to go." Alex said entering the lab.
"You sure I am the right person for this? I mean a few weeks ago no one trusted me, are they really going to believe me now?" Kara asked looking up.
"Yes." Cat said. "Just speak from the heart."
"You sure that is less than ninety seconds?" Alex asked looking at the script Kara was holding.
"Sixty seconds, which leaves time to pause." Cat said.
"Okay, let's do this." Alex said leading them to one of the labs where a Kryptonian device was waiting.
"Where do I stand?" Kara asked.
"Just there." Alex said pointing to a spot in front of the device.
"Wait." Cat said.
"What's wrong?"
"I know you have been fighting non stop and are tired. But the people need you to look fresh." Cat explained. "Take a moment and prepare."
"Okay." Kara said shutting her eyes and taking a calming breath before standing up straighter. She then looked at Alex and nodded.
Alex then tapped some buttons and said. "Live in three, two, one."
Kara then waited another three seconds before finally saying.
"People of National City, I know you are confused and afraid. Many atrocities have taken place in the last few hours. Indomitable wanted to control the city and the country and to do that he manipulated many, but he couldn't control everyone. So he had another plan, to brainwash and control the rest. Just like Non did over twenty years ago. He had a plan that used Kryptonian technology and even though he is gone, those who truly supported him aren't. And they carried out that plan. They brainwashed the local police and controlled their actions. Forcing them to attack you. We have stopped the signal, just like we did over twenty years ago, and they are no longer being controlled. They are, just like you, in shock. The FBI are working with me to ensure the city is safe. Please do not attack them. The networks will return soon. In the mean time, please stay in your homes-" Kara said before Rose said.
"We've stopped transmitting."
"What happened to ninety seconds?" Supergirl asked.
"We misjudged. Sorry."
"That maybe enough." Cat said.
"I should get back out there." Supergirl said. "I need to be seen."
"Okay, just be careful." Alex said before Supergirl flew off.
"Alex, networks in the city should be coming back on line in the next thirty minutes. But they are already come back up across the country and it is a real mess." Vasquez said as she approached her. "But the President has said he wants us to watch out for an invasions and to let the other departments worry about law and order. And he said you need to make sure Supergirl rests. He also said tell her to stop with the clean up, she has done more than enough already."
"Like I have that much control." Alex said.
"Want me to call her back?" Vasquez asked.
"Yes, I mean she needs a break." Alex said. "But she won't like it."
"Ma'am, do you want us to turn off the jammers?" Rose asked.
"Jammers?" Alex asked.
"The low frequency ones we set up when we weren't sure how they were going to get Myriad working."
"They are still on?" Alex asked.
"Yes ma'am."
"Yeah, shut them off." Alex ordered as Supergirl landed in front of her.
"Ruby said you wanted me to-" She started to say only to suddenly hear the alarms from the MJ's and Martin's watches. Immediately she grabbed Alex and flew off.
