A/N: Thanks for the reviews.
Baratta jennifer - thanks!
"What's going on?" Supergirl asked as she landed at the DEO.
"Firstly another of Indomitable's metas has turned up. Secondly Lex has escaped and thirdly the President is here observing." Alex listed.
For a moment Kara said nothing as she processed the news. Finally she said. "Where do you need me?"
"Indomitable's meta is the threat right now." Alex said. "There is a chance he will go nuclear."
"Okay." Kara said. "Which one is it?"
"They are making such a mess it is hard to get a good visual. But maybe Thumper."
"I guess it doesn't make much difference if they can steal powers." Kara said.
"I guess not." Alex agreed.
"Any missing metas that could give us clues?"
"Not that we have identified. But with all the violence against metas since Indomitable, many have gone to ground so it would be hard to know." Alex said.
"But if they have been going missing I missed it." Kara said bitterly.
"We missed it." Alex corrected before Kara asked, seemingly ignoring her sister's comment.
"Where do you want me?"
"We need eyes on the meta, but it is too dangerous to engage, until we know what we are dealing with."
"I can't stand by and let people get hurt." Kara said.
"I know, but you can get people to safety and get intel without engaging."
"Okay, I'll go see what I can figure out." Kara said.
"But if anything feels off you tell me." Alex went on.
"I will." Kara said.
"Please be careful."
"I will."

"You know there are easier ways to get out of an engagement." Rice said entering the infirmary with Mel, who was carrying Chewie. "Getting shot is overkill."
"What are you doing here?" The younger Kara asked.
"Firstly, I was asked to collect Mel. Secondly I'm helping out in the infirmary today." Rice explained.
"Why?"
"Still not allowed on active duty, but hopping round here is acceptable." Rice said.
"Bright side is you now have your own butler." Mel commented to Kara.
"How are you feeling?" Rice asked as he limped towards Kara's bed, holding a tray.
"I'm fine, I don't need to be here."
"That argument rarely works round here." Rice said handing Kara the tray. "Your mom said you had to eat, she didn't specify what. Diz said this was your favourite."
"Thanks." The younger Kara said gingerly removing the cover.
"I've got it." Diz said taking the cover and putting it to one side.
Seeing the food Kara looked at Rice and said.
"Thanks."
"No problem." Rice nodded.
"What exactly is happening out there?" MJ asked.
"One of Indomitable's metas has shown up and gone crazy and is randomly attacking parts of the city." Rice said as the door opened and Martin walked in.
"Hey." MJ said. "Steve okay?"
"Yeah, he had the day off so your mom drafted him in to work here, so I thought I'd hang here if that's okay."
"Sure." Kara said wincing as she shifted in the infirmary bed.
"Steve really needs a hobby." MJ said before Mel asked.
"Any one talked to Alex?"
"She sent a message this morning saying she was okay." Martin said.
"That was it?" MJ asked.
"No, there were several messages as she had a minor melt down, but at the end of it she said was okay, although she sounded stressed about you." Martin explained looking at Kara.
"I know, she was checking on me earlier." The younger Kara said.
"Sounds about right." Mel said before asking. "Is she still in Arizona?"
"Yes, she and Matt are doing something with robots today." Martin said as Ruby entered the infirmary.
"Everything okay?" Diz asked.
"No. Things are looking bad right now. You guys need to stay in here and not go anywhere unless you are told." Ruby said before looking at Rice. "Make sure they do just that."
"Why me?"
"There is no one else." Ruby shrugged.

"Director Danvers." The President said approaching her in the control room.
"Sir."
"There is something you need to know."
"What?"
"Prisoners aren't the only thing missing."
"What?" Alex asked.
"I have just heard from the army. One of their warehouses was raided."
"And?"
"Apparently they were storing weapons, weapons designed to stop Kryptonians."
"I thought they'd been shut down?" Alex said trying to control her anger.
"We will investigate that when it's all over. But for now you need to warn Supergirl. They have been ordered to send information on everything and it will be here within the next ten minutes."
"All of it?"
"If anything is held back we will have significantly less Generals." The President said before walking off.
"I'll set up a team to go through those files." Vasquez said to Alex.
"Thanks, can you contact J'onn and ask him to get my mom down here? Something tells me we'll need her. And ask Lena to come as well. I'll warn Supergirl."
"Ma'am the meta has disappeared." Rose called.
"What do you mean disappeared?"
"Just that. Supergirl showed up and he vanished. We are trying to track him, but so far nothing."
"Get Supergirl back here." Alex said walking off.

"Any sign of the meta?" Alex asked walking into the control room with her sister a little while later.
"No."
"Maybe that is a good thing. I mean if they are unstable we don't want them using powers." Alex said. "But we need a way to contain them."
"Any news from Frax?" Kara asked.
"Not yet." Alex replied.
"So no teleportation tricks?" Kara asked.
"No." Alex said before looking at Vasquez. "Did the army send all the files?"
"Don't know about all the files, but they sent plenty and none of it is pretty reading."
"You've read them?" Alex asked.
"Some, but I was mainly going off your mom's expressions as she read them." Vasquez said.
"Eliza is here?" Kara asked.
"Yes, I thought we could use the help." Alex said.
"Why?"
"You remember that chemical you were exposed to when the convoy was attacked?" Alex asked.
"Hard to forget. Wait, is that what was stolen?"
"Well the warehouse that got raided contained that compound and a whole host of other weapons."
"Any journals?"
"No, not that they have confessed to." Alex said. "Lena is trying to figure out what your suit is susceptible to, but chances are the bad guys have weapons that can kill you. We just don't know who those bad guys are. Mom is trying to come up with antidotes. But you should go to the lab, I am pretty sure she wants some blood."
"Fun." Kara grumbled. "But shouldn't I be out there looking for the meta?"
"We have no idea if his appearance is related to the thefts, Lex, Myriad or anything else, so let's take our time and be cautious." Alex said.
"Okay." Kara said. "I'll go see Eliza. But if the meta shows up tell me."
"I will." Alex said.
00
"Hi." Supergirl said walking into the lab.
"Hi Sweetie." Eliza said looking round.
"Alex said you wanted some of my blood."
"Yes. Take a seat." Eliza said directing her to a chair. As she walked towards Kara she asked. "How are you?"
"I'm okay."
"Really?"
"No."
"I'm frustrated. I just wish this senseless violence would stop." Kara said as Eliza turned on the red lamps.
"I know." Eliza said as she picked up the syringe. "How's Alex?"
"She was fine this morning, all recovered from yesterday."
"I hope Alex is not developing your and your sister's knack for finding trouble." Eliza said.
"You and me both." Kara smiled.
"How did Matt's family take Alex having powers."
"Well they had already figured out I was Supergirl so they weren't that surprised."
"How?" Eliza asked.
"Apparently Matt's father is a Supergirl superfan and recognised Alex as me from twenty years ago."
"She does look a lot like you." Eliza commented as she removed the syringe and turned off the red lights.
"How bad is it?" Kara asked.
"What?"
"The weapons."
"You need to keep away from them." Eliza said. "No matter what happens you need to keep your distance."
"It's not always that easy." Kara reminded her.
