Ch 8 More Plotting
Shida and Mtunga didn't have to look very far for Cala. They soon found their rusty coated friend talking with Dogo and his Pack. When Cala saw the two lionesses walking towards her her brown eyes went wide with surprise. "What the Hell are you two doing here?!" Cala demanded, storming up to the pair.
"Well hello to you too Cala," Mtunga said, rolling her blue eyes.
"I don't have time for nonsense Mtunga," Cala snapped. "What do you two want?"
"You know Cala," Shida said, making sure she kept her voice level. "If you keep up this attitude then we won't help you."
"You do still want our help don't you?" Mtunga asked.
"Yes," Cala said with a sigh. "Of course I do. I'm sorry. Its been a Hell of a day."
"Well I'm afraid its about to get worse," Mtunga said. "Kiara and Nuka are having a cub."
"Why does that matter to me?" Cala demanded. "I could care less if Simba and Zira's brat is having a brat of their own."
"I thought you hated Kiara," Shida said.
"No Shida I don't hate Kiara," Cala said. "I hate Kopa. Its Kopa I want dead not Kiara! And now that Simba has royally pissed me off he and his precious mate can both rot in Hell too! Damn them all! Banishing me is the last straw!"
"What do you want us to do Cala?" Shida asked.
"Well for one thing don't make it so damn obvious that you don't like Kiara and Kopa," Cala said, rolling her brown eyes.
"How did you..." Mtunga began.
"I have eyes and ears all over Mtunga," Cala said with a smile. "Nothing get said or done without me knowing. Besides most of Simba's Pride doesn't hate me so I've got a lot of friends there."
"But are they willing to help us?" Mtunga asked.
"Most likely not," Cala said with a grunt. "Their loyalty to Simba and Zira far out weighs any loyalty to me."
"Me and Shida will talk to them," Mtunga said. "But don't worry we won't make it obvious that we're trying to sway them against Simba."
"Its not Simba that I want dead," Cala growled. "I want Kopa dead! Before he has a chance in implant his spawn into my little girl!'
"Ok calm down there Cala damn," Shida said.
"You'd be pissed off too if someone went after Binti," Cala said. "Or Mwana!"
"Of course I would," Shida said with a growl. "I'd die for my children. I just..." But just then a tan coated lion with a sandy brown mane and light brown eyes approached the group followed by a dark tan lioness with blue eyes. The lioness had a small beige cub on her back.
"Ah Mwana you and Kike have perfect timing," Cala said with a smile as Shida's son and Mtunga's daughter approached them
"What's going on Mom?" Mwana asked, looking at Shida.
"Yeah what are you planning now Mother?" Kike asked, giving Mtunga a look.
"Well that's a fine way to speak to your mother," Mtunga said with a slight growl. The growl caused the cub to wake and she looked at Mtunga with wide brown eyes. "But I see you brought Mjuku with you so I'll forgive you."
"Well I couldn't very well leave a three day old cub alone now could I?" Kike asked, rolling her blue eyes.
"Where's Binti?" Shida asked, looking around for her daughter.
"Back at Pride Rock I suspect," Mwana said with a shrug. "I'm not really sure though. I'm not her keeper Mom. She does her own thing. But you didn't answer Kike's question: what are you planning now?"
"We're planin' on kickin' Simba and his damn family out of Pride Rock," Dogo piped up.
"And out of the Pride Lands!" Mbaya cried out. "But it'll have to wait. I just found out I'm pregnant and so are some of the other female jackals."
"We'll need the time to form a good solid plan anyways," Cala said.
"Yes and we'll need all the help we can get," Mtunga said, looking at Mwana and Kike when she said this part.
"Well forget it," Kike said. "I won't risk anything happening to Mjuku."
"Yeah good luck Mom," Mwana said as he followed his mate away from the group. "You'll need it." With that Mwana and his family headed back into the Pride Lands.
"Fools," Cala growled. "They'll regret that. But lets start plotting Kopa's downfall shall we?"
"With great pleasure," Dogo growled. With that the group began to discuss their plan for taking down Kopa and Simba once and for all.

A few weeks past and things were going better in the Pride Lands. Kovu was getting stronger each day and the swelling in Kopa's brain had gone down significantly. But the creamy brown lion still wasn't awake. AL tough Simba and Zira had planned on handing the throne to Nuka and Vitani the King and Queen decided to wait until things had calmed down and after Kiara had her cub. By now Safara was at the end of her pregnancy and the tan coated lioness had gone into labor earlier that morning and she was in the birthing cave along with Asha and Zira. "Man this waiting is killings me," Kovu said with a grunt. "And I can't even get up and pace."
"Don't worry buddy I'm sure everything's fine," Nuka said, patting Kovu's back. Just then Safara's cry of pain echoed through the cave.
"That's perfectly normal," Simba said when he saw the worried look at Kovu's face. Kovu was about to say more when Asha entered the cave, a smile on her face.
"Mom!" Kovu cried out. "How's Safara? Is the cub here?"
"Honey Safara is just fine," Asha said, nuzzling her son. "And so is your son."
"I have a son?" Kovu asked, his voice high with excitement.
"A perfectly healthy son," Asha said, the smile never leaving her face.
"I have a son!" Kovu cried out, leaping to his feet, forgetting about his injuries. A stab of pain went through Kovu's side and he winced for a second. But he was far to happy to let a little bit of pain keep him down.
"Congratulations Kovu," Simba said with a smile.
"That's terrific news!" Chafu said, patting Kovu's back.
"I'm so happy I have a healthy nephew!" Kiara cried out, embracing her half brother.
"I wanna go see them," Kovu said as he began to walk.
"Now without help you're not," Nuka said as he and Chafu got on either side of Kovu. With that the group exited the sick cave to see Safara and her new son.

A little while later the group was in the cave where they saw Safara laying off to the side, holding a tan bundle in her paws. "We have a very strong son," Safara said, giving her son's head a lick. The cub began to fuss and Kovu smiled.
"Being born is hard work," the golden brown lion said with a laugh as he nuzzled Safara.
"We will give him a very good life," Safara said, smiling down at her son.
"We have given him life Saf'," Kovu said. "Good or not is for the Kings to decide." With that Kovu layed down beside his mate and pulled his son close. The cub looked up at his father with wide green eyes. "Go back to sleep my son," Kovu said softly. "You're safe with your Mommy and Daddy." With that the cub let out a yawn and snuggled into Safara's fur and went to sleep.
"So what's the little guy's name?' Kiara asked, smiling down at her nephew.
"His name is Kinte," Kovu said with a smile.
"Well welcome to world little Kinte," Jasiri said with a smile. With that the group spent the rest of the day admiring the newborn cub.
