All was calm in the vast natural scenery, with the animals strolling peacefully.

On the ground, a platypus bear could be seen feeding its young when suddenly, a shadow loomed over them and they looked up to find out its origin as it continued to fly across the sky.

The cause of the shadow was none other than Appa, Aang's faithful companion and official transport of Team Avatar.

Currently on his back were Aang, Katara, Toph and Sokka.

"How much farther to the Fire Nation?" asked Toph.

"Not long. We should be there in a few minutes if nothing bad happens." said Aang.

"Knowing our luck, something bad might happen." said Sokka.

"Don't be negative, Sokka." said Katara.

"I'm not negative, I'm realistic." said Sokka.

"I really wish something would happen, though. Then I would have something to tell my students." said Toph who, after the war, founded a school to teach metalbending.

"Won't it be enough to tell them that we are going to tea with the Fire Lord?" asked Aang mentioning the reason for their trip.

"If I wanted to tell them about a friendly get-together, I'd hear about their lives." said Toph.

"Well in my opinion, it would be an interesting topic. We haven't seen each other in months since we found Zuko and Azula's mother." said Katara.

"Besides, a moment of relaxation always comes in handy." said Sokka.

"What's wrong with you is that you're looking forward to seeing your girlfriend." said Toph with a smile.

"And I don't deny it." said Sokka eliciting a small laugh from the group.

"We're almost there." said Aang just as they all saw, over the ocean horizon, their destination.

A few minutes later, they arrived at their destination, the Fire Nation's palace and Appa landed in front of the palace entrance, where there was a person waiting for them.

Needless to say, Sokka smiled hugely, for he recognized that person immediately.

"Suki!" exclaimed Sokka quickly getting off the flying bison and running towards his girlfriend with whom he shared a hug.

"It's good to see you too, Sokka." said Suki.

"Hello, Suki. I hope things around here are going well." said Aang as he climbed down from Appa with the others.

"Pretty good, actually. The odd problem, but it was nothing the Kyoshi warriors couldn't fix." said Suki.

"And it's all thanks to me."

Everyone except Toph was startled when a girl with long pony braid suddenly appeared.

"Ty Lee, I told you to stop doing that. You'll give someone a heart attack someday." said Suki.

"Sorry, I just wanted to surprise you." said Ty Lee.

"I already 'saw' you coming." said Toph.

"And why didn't you warn us?" asked Sokka.

"Where would the fun be in that?" asked Toph with a smile.

"How are you doing in the Kyoshi warriors?" asked Katara.

"Wonderfully and they are all good students." said Ty Lee.

"That's right. It's thanks to Ty Lee's chi blocking that we were able to solve all those problems." said Suki.

"Well, we better not keep the others waiting, right?" asked Aang.

"Exactly. I'm sure Zuko will have a full schedule." said Sokka.

"Oh, don't worry, Sokka. Zuko made sure to keep his schedule empty for today, since it's not every day, he gets to enjoy some time with all of us." said Suki.

"Then let's go meet them." said Aang before they all entered the palace and walked down the halls.

"By the way, how are things between Zuko and Mai?" asked Katara.

"Well, since his mother, Zuko understood that he made a mistake by letting her go so he did his best to get her back. Mai found it amusing that the Fire Lord begged her and after many amusing attempts, they got back together." said Ty Lee.

"I'm glad to hear that. They make such a good couple." said Katara.

"Yeah, without her, who would he be with? Katara?" asked Toph.

"Hahaha. Now that's funny. That would be as impossible as seeing Aang and Azula together." said Sokka laughing.

"By the way, how is Azula?" asked Aang.

"After she tried to escape after being reunited with her mother, Zuko made sure to keep her locked up tight so she can't escape or hurt anyone." said Suki.

"I feel terrible for her. I know she's crazy and did a lot of bad things, but deep, deep down inside, she's still my childhood friend and Zuko's sister." said Ty Lee.

"Well, I guess we'll just have to wait for time to make her realize her mistakes. If it happened to Zuko, I think it could happen to her too." said Aang being positive about it.

"But the difference between the two of them is that Zuko spent a lot of time with his good and wise uncle while Azula was with her crazy and cruel father." said Sokka.

"Yeah, it's going to take a long time for that to happen." said Katara.

A few seconds later, they passed through huge doors that led into a room with a huge circular table.

Sitting in two of the several chairs there were Fire Lord Zuko and his girlfriend, Mai.

"Hey, guys. It's been a while." said Zuko getting up to approach the Avatar.

"Same here." began Aang before sharing a hug with his friend. "How's your family?"

"Fine. My sister is adjusting quickly to the palace and my mother, well, she's fine." said Zuko.

"As well as you can be after having your memories erased by a spirit, your face changed and everything returned to you years later." commented Sokka before getting a nudge from his sister.

"Yeah, I guess you can look at it that way." said Mai.

After that, everyone sat around the table to chat a bit and hang out.

"So, how's the metalbending school going?" asked Zuko.

"Well, it's good even though my students are short minded, but I like that, because then I can have fun straightening them out." said Toph.

"If I have to have you as a teacher, then I'm glad I'm not a bender." said Sokka, making his girlfriend chuckle.

"I'm glad too, because I would have kicked you out on the first day." said Toph.

"Hey, if I was a bender I'd be such a good student that I'd get an award!" said Sokka offended.

"Yeah, the award for most annoying and chatty." said Mai, eliciting a chuckle from everyone else as Sokka crossed his arms with a frown.

"And how are things going in the rest of the world? I think they're still adjusting to the fact that the war is over." said Zuko.

"Well, there's the odd problem here and there, but nothing to worry about." said Aang.

"After all, many wanted the war to end." said Katara.

"And it's all thanks to us. Who knew a group of kids would accomplish what many adults have failed to do." said Ty Lee.

"We should do a story about us and our adventures around the world. I'm sure it would be very popular." said Sokka.

"Didn't they do a theatrical performance of your adventures on Amber Island?" asked Mai with an arched eyebrow.

"Don't remind me. It was horrible from beginning to end." said Zuko.

"And the end was that Ozai managed to defeat me and take over the world." said Aang.

"In his defense, it still wasn't quite clear how it would all end." said Suki.

"I thought it was good, especially the part where my character came out, it was so funny." said Toph laughing a little.

Suddenly, before they could continue the conversation, a guard rushed into the room.

"Sorry for the interruption, sir, but we have a problem." said the guard.

"What is it?" asked Zuko earnestly.

"It seems that the New Ozai Society is attacking the capital square." said the guard.

"Gah. They again no." said Zuko in frustration.

"New Ozai Society?" asked Katara.

"A terrorist group that opposes Zuko as Fire Lord and demands that his father's title be returned to him." said Mai.

"Well they can sit tight now." said Toph.

"Why didn't you tell us about them?" asked Aang. "We could have helped."

"I appreciate that, but until now, that group only engaged in protests and small disturbances. There was a time when I thought about declaring a curfew, but they convinced me otherwise." said Zuko.

"You did the right thing. That would have made a lot of people nervous and even made that group get more followers." said Sokka.

"This is a Fire Nation matter. Even though you are the Avatar, you can't be everywhere and I can't depend on you all the time, so as Fire Lord, I must resolve these matters." said Zuko.

"Well, you're right about that, but I'm here now, so I can help you sort it out." said Aang.

"We are friends and friends help each other when one has problems." said Katara.

"Besides, I feel like kicking some ass." said Toph.

"Thanks, guys." said Zuko with a smile.

"We'll walk you out." began Suki speaking for her and Ty Lee. "After all, we're not just the Fire Lord's bodyguards."

"I couldn't agree more." said Sokka.

"Alright, guys. Let's go." said Aang before the group left the room, leaving only Zuko and Mai.

"Just like old times." said Zuko.

"Yeah, no doubt." said Mai with a small smile.

"Are you sure you don't want to go with them?" asked Zuko.

"Bah. They're just a bunch of angry, whiny guys. I could beat them easily." said Mai with a shrug.

"I know." said Zuko with a smile.

Meanwhile, Rimuru continued to fly through the sky in search of the Avatar.

"I've been looking for him for quite a while now and I still haven't found anything. Well, I wouldn't say nothing exactly. This world is pretty interesting with those temples in the mountains, those tribes located in the icy poles and that huge walled city. Although I admit it was weird when I stopped for a moment and ran into that group of hippies. Good thing I left quickly." said Rimuru.

"Warning. Large amount of energy detected to the southwest." said Raphael.

"It must be Avatar Aang. Well, let's go check it out." said Rimuru before flying off in the direction mentioned.

Back with Team Avatar and friends, they were quickly running towards the square, where the attack was taking place.

Once they arrived, they saw several guards fighting a group of men.

Some were using their firebending while others were carrying sharp weapons.

What was worse was that most of the guards had been knocked down, with a couple left standing as they tried to defend themselves.

Before the fight could go any further, Aang swung his staff vertically, launching a blast of wind that caught everyone's attention as well as putting out the fires caused by the fight.

"Everyone stop!" said Aang.

"You don't boss us around, Avatar! Not even that coward Zuko!" said one man.

"Exactly. There can only be one true Fire Lord and that is Ozai!" said another man pointing to the center of the square, where there was a statue of Ozai.

"Wait, they're attacking just for a statue?" asked Sokka.

"Zuko intended to tear it down, since he didn't want people to see it all the time." said Suki.

"Yes, who would want to wake up in the morning and see the statue of a tyrant in the street?" asked Toph.

"He wasn't a tyrant! He was a wise and powerful man who was going to lead the Fire Nation to greatness!" said one man.

"Condemning the other nations!" said Katara.

"It doesn't matter! Zuko doesn't have what it takes to rule the Fire Nation! That's why we will keep fighting until he frees Ozai and becomes our ruler again!" said another man.

"I'm sorry, but I can't let that man go free!" said Aang.

"Then we will finish you off. We will make you pay for what you did to him." said another man.

"Oh, come on. He just took away his powers. It's no big deal either." said Sokka with a shrug.

One of the men roared in anger at the comment and launched a huge blast of fire, but Aang acted quickly and swung his staff to create a shield against the flames.

Once they were extinguished, he and the others prepared to fight.

"It's okay, guys, it looks like they have no intention of talking." said Aang.

"You noticed that too?" asked Toph sarcastically.

"Let's get 'em!" exclaimed one man, causing all the men to rush forward.

Just then, Rimuru arrived in the capital and saw what was going on in the square, so he landed on the roof of a nearby building.

"Mmm. Looks like there's trouble. Wait a minute." began Rimuru before focusing his gaze on a bald boy with arrows drawn on his forehead and arms. "Raphael, is that him?"

"Analysis. Subject's energy surpasses everyone else's." said Raphael.

"So, he's Avatar Aang and it looks like he's going to fight. Good. This could be an opportunity to watch him and his friends fight." thought Rimuru.

A man approached Ty Lee and created a fire whip with which he tried to strike her, but Ty Lee dodged it with a back flip.

The man tried to hit her again, but she dodged it with another somersault.

Before the man could deliver another lash, Ty Lee quickly moved up to him and proceeded to deliver several blows to a few points on his arms, which caused the fire whip to come undone, much to the man's surprise.

He tried to do another, but couldn't, which horrified him before Ty Lee side-kicked him in the face, knocking him down in the process.

"That girl is very agile and that technique seems to have nullified his ability to bend." said Rimuru.

"Analysis. The girl hit pressure points that affected the energy flow of her opponent's body." said Raphael.

"So that's how she did it, huh? Interesting." said Rimuru.

A man swung his sword at Suki, but she pulled out her fans and blocked the sword before pushing him back.

The man tried to slash at her with his sword, but Suki dodged to the side before kicking him in the stomach that knocked him back.

Just as the man got up, Suki threw her fans at him.

The man tried to block them with his sword, but the fans cut his sword easily, to the man's horror and before he could react, Suki lunged at him and punched him in the face that knocked him down.

"Not bad. She looks like she's been training for years and the way she uses those fans is pretty amazing." said Rimuru.

Sokka stood before the man who threw that flare.

"You're going to pay for what you said." said the man angrily.

"Could you please specify? I said a lot of things." said Sokka with a sneer.

The man roared in anger before launching another flare, but Sokka rolled to the side to dodge it.

The man proceeded to launch fireballs, but Sokka dodged some while the others he neutralized with his sword.

When the barrage of attacks stopped, Sokka pulled out his boomerang and threw it, rolling past the man.

"Ha. Where were you aiming at?" asked the man.

"At you." said Sokka.

The man arched an eyebrow in confusion as the boomerang curved in his direction to travel back the way it came, hitting the back of the man's head in the process with such force that it knocked him down.

"Never underestimate a boomerang." said Sokka picking up his weapon.

"Clever and good use of his weapons. I would never have guessed someone would use such a thing like that." said Rimuru.

Three men surrounded Toph with one carrying an axe, while another created daggers of fire and the third covered his fists with fire.

"So you think I'm lost. Well wait and see." said Toph before swinging her leg, causing a pillar to spring from the ground beneath the axe man, shooting him into the sky and shortly after, he fell into the interior of a house.

After that, the other two men charged towards it, but Toph simply moved out of the way before the blows landed.

She quickly lifted a rock from the ground and hurled it towards the man with fire daggers, knocking him down in the process.

The man with the fists of fire tried to sneak up on her from behind.

"I see you." began Toph before causing the metal bracelet on her wrist to dart towards the man and wrap itself around his wrist. Before he could say anything, Toph used metalbending to move the wrist that held the metal bracelet and make the man hit himself with his fist of fire. "Why do you hit yourself? Why do you hit yourself? Why do you hit yourself?" asked Toph before, with one more punch, the man fell backwards to the ground. "You still haven't answered me."

"No doubt that girl is stronger than she looks. She's impressive. Especially considering she's blind." said Rimuru having realized the blind earthbender's disability.

A man launched a blast of fire towards Katara, but she put it out with a stream of water.

After that, she created a pair of water tentacles with which she grabbed the man by the legs before lifting him up and slamming him to the ground.

The man stood up and launched a wave of fire, but she created a shield of water with which she protected herself before turning the water into chunks of ice which she hurled towards the man, the impacts of which ended up knocking him down.

"Mmm. Not bad. She seems to have a great control over water and its states." said Rimuru.

A pair of men combined their attacks to throw a huge fireball at Aang, but he threw a huge boulder that neutralized the fireball.

He then launched a wind wave at them, but they dodged it before launching flares.

Aang created an air scooter with which he moved quickly to dodge the flares and position himself directly behind them.

Before they could react, Aang launched a fireball at one of them, knocking him down in the process and then blasted the other with a jet of water before freezing the water, locking him in an ice prison.

"Please. Can't we talk about this quietly?" asked Aang trying to be pacific.

"Never! Even if you defeat us, more like us will arise and they won't rest until they restore the Nation to its former glory!" said the man.

"*Sigh* I was afraid you were going to say that." said Aang before hitting him over the head with his staff, knocking him unconscious.

"Mmm. He is very skilled in his handling of elemental bending, but he still has a lot to learn." said Rimuru before he noticed something out of the corner of his eye and turned his head to see a man armed with a bow and arrow on top of Ozai's statue and was pointing directly at the Avatar.

"That was it?" asked Aang.

"Yes, they have all been defeated." said Katara.

"This was nothing to us." said Sokka.

It was then that Toph's eyes widened in horror.

"Aang, look out!" exclaimed Toph pointing to the statue, where they all saw the archer.

"Die, Avatar." said the archer before firing his arrow.

Before anyone could react, someone grabbed the arrow in the middle of its trajectory.

Everyone was shocked as the guy who caught the arrow was someone young looking with light blue hair and a mask covering his face, but most striking of all were the wings coming out of his back and keeping him hovering in the air.

"Attacking from behind? What a cowardly trick." began Rimuru before snapping the arrow, making the archer flustered. "Since you and your friends praise that man so much, let me give you a piece of him." said Rimuru before flying towards Ozai's statue and punching him in the face.

That caused the entire statue to crack and shatter into a thousand pieces, with the archer screaming as he fell onto the debris that caused a smokescreen.

Team Avatar and friends were left in shock.

They didn't know who this guy was, but to have destroyed such a large statue with ease showed that he was someone very strong.

Rimuru stepped out of the dissipating smoke screen as he shook off his hands.

"Well, I guess that way, I've saved some people some work." began Rimuru standing in front of the group. "Nice to finally meet you, Avatar Aang."

"W-Who are you?" asked Aang managing to snap out of his state of surprise.

"Let's just say I'm someone they sent to help you." said Rimuru.

"Who sent you?" asked Aang.

"You should meet him." began Rimuru directing his hand towards his mask. "After all..." said Rimuru before removing his mask to reveal his face. "You are his reincarnation."

Aang's eyes widened as soon as he heard that, for there was only one person of that description.

"Roku?" asked Aang.
