Owen was sent to lock up after he was treated for his injuries. He couldn't join the others in Ops. He couldn't help coordinate Alex's and Nikita's rescue mission. He couldn't do anything. Since he had disobeyed orders, and since he had assaulted a guard to get to Ari, he had to spend the rest of the mission in the basement of hell. Owen didn't fight those orders. He knew he had messed up. His emotions had blinded him, and Ari had made a fool out of him. Whatever consequences came his way, he had to pay them. He just hoped they weren't too detrimental. If they were, Michael deserved to kill him, "Nikita?"

"She's alright. We're getting her out of Geneva now," Michael stated sternly. He had ensured Nikita was on her way home before he finally went to talk to Owen in lockup. His anger had to subside first before he spoke to the former Cleaner. Though, if Michael was being honest, he was still pissed off at Owen. Nikita was safe then, yet she had almost died in a fire because Owen knocked Ari unconscious before he could convince Krieg to trust Division. Michael had almost lost everything because Owen couldn't wait. He had to make the former Cleaner pay for that, and lockup might not be enough.

Hanging his head, Owen breathed a deep sigh of relief. Thank God Nikita was alright; thank God he hadn't fucked up that badly. He hadn't thought that his actions could possibly lead to someone's death. But that was part of the problem. Owen hadn't thought. He only acted on his own selfish desires. Michael told him to wait- to be patient. He would've had his moment to talk to Ari. But he had completely ignored that sound advice. He continued to be lost in his own head, "I'm sorry. This whole Amanda thing, it's just it… got the best of me, you know?"

"Save it. From here on out, you're off of active duty," Michael abruptly stopped Owen's apology. He didn't need to hear it. There was nothing he could say that'd save him from lockup- or from whatever worse punishment Michael could think of. Forget the fact that his actions had put Nikita in danger (though, that was something Michael could never forget); Owen had still assaulted a guard. He had attacked one of his fellow agents for a completely selfish and stupid reason. That alone warranted his placement in lockup.

"Till when?" Owen seriously wondered. There was a chance that when Ryan- who was actually in charge of Division- returned from his trip overseas, Owen would be released. He was needed on missions, after all. He was highly skilled, he worked well with the team, and he was supposed to be Nikita's partner. Even with the hold Amanda had on his head and his memories, Owen was a valuable member of Division. He'd serve the punishment he deserved, but then he'd be right back out into the field, doing all he could to destroy the bitch and all her allies.

"Until I say so," Bitterly, Michael informed Owen. The agent had no intention of letting the former Cleaner go for a long time. He had proven numerous times that he was a danger to himself and others- mostly others. They might not be lucky next time. Owen's senseless actions were going to get someone killed. And, if those didn't, then whatever influence Amanda had over him would. Owen was too much of a liability to let run around unchecked. He had to stay under lock and key until his impatience was under control, until Amanda's control over him was gone, or until Michael's anger waned. The latter might never happen, though.

At least Nikita really was okay- despite the pangs in her chest and throat. But those would pass as she drove Krieg and Stefan somewhere safe, and as she picked Alex up at the police station. Everyone was safe, sound, and would be home soon. Nikita didn't have to be concerned with her battered body. Krieg definitely wasn't worried about his gunshot wound. His attention remained on Stefan. That made Nikita smile. She and Krieg were strikingly alike. If only they had realized that earlier. At least it worked out in the end, "I've been there too. You protect someone out of a sense of duty, and then when it becomes more, it really surprises you."

While Nikita spoke with Krieg about what was next for him and Stefan, she left her radio on. Just like with her com, she forgot she had to actively turn it off when she wasn't using it. Birkhoff didn't shut her off, though. It'd be helpful for Division to know where Krieg and Stefan were hiding next incase they ran into any trouble. By the time Michael returned to Ops, Nikita's conversation with Krieg was winding down. As it did, her coughs became worse- her smoke filled lungs protesting the overuse. Michael didn't like the sound of it. Maybe she hadn't come out of that fire completely unscathed, "Nikita, are you okay? What happened in that fire?"

"Krieg and Stefan are safe. They're gonna lay low in the safehouse for a bit before they leave the country. They're both good, and got it from here. So let's get Alex," Doing her best to contain her cough, Nikita replied. She'd rest and take care of herself on the jet home. Until then, she'd ensure it was okay to leave Krieg and Stefan, and she'd go after Alex. Not once, however, would she tell Michael what had happened in the fire. He didn't need to know that she had set it. And she didn't think she could share what happened with Amanda. Her words had terrified Nikita. What hell had been unleashed on Amanda- and what hell was she going to unleash.

Michael opened his mouth to argue with Nikita. She couldn't keep brushing him off. She needed to explain the fire in more depth- she should also provide a better update on Krieg and Stefan. However, before Michael could call Nikita out for her lack of answers, Birkhoff began to mutter confused curses under his breath. He pounded on his keyboard and glanced between the monitors in utter confusion. That wasn't a good sign. He was only supposed to be tracking Alex. That information should've been available. Except, it had disappeared in the blink of an eye, and he couldn't get it back, "Uh… I can't find her."

"What do you mean you can't find her? You said she was with the cops," Nikita shrieked, causing her lungs to seize in a violent coughing fit. Again, she didn't care about that. Birkhoff's comment re-spiked her anxiety and adrenaline. How could he- the mighty Shadowwalker- have lost Alex. She was only in police custody. She was only being transported to the closest station. There was absolutely no way she could've been lost. Unless, of course, the monster Nikita still hadn't killed had been unleashed.

"She was- she is… I just can't track her," Birkhoff continued to smash the keys on the keyboard. Alex's last known location showed that she had been on her way to the police station. There was no reason for the cop to stop or take her somewhere else. She had been arrested in the middle of a firefight. Until Nikita broke her out, Alex was considered a dangerous criminal. She should've only wound up at the police station. She still could've been headed there, and Birkhoff was only receiving interference. It could've just been a fluke in the system- his perfect, flawless, could give the CIA a run for its money system.

"Did her tracker turn off?" Trying to not think the worse, Michael asked. Alex's com had been turned off. She had switched it off after she was arrested to lower the risk of exposure to Division. A com wouldn't have helped her when Nikita came to get her anyway. Nikita had lost her com long ago- there was no communication between the agents in the field. And, as long as Division could track Alex, there was no need for Ops to communicate with her. So, if a com could be switched off, couldn't a tracker. Alex wouldn't have done so on purpose, but it could've been an accident. It all could've been a big misunderstanding.

"No. After all of Nikki's stunts, I redesigned the trackers so that'd be impossible," Birkhoff shook his head. He had actually learned from Nikita's rogue antics, and he had worked to lessen some of the chaotic effects. Ensuring Division trackers couldn't be turned off was one of the first things he did. The only way to lose track of an agent was if the tracker was removed- or they had gone underground. But Alex's tracker hadn't been removed. And she hadn't gone underground. Something else was going on. Something that didn't seem right, "It's like there's some kind of interference. Something's jamming the signal."

A part of Nikita wanted to sass off against Birkhoff for what he had implied about her stunts. However, that absolutely wasn't what was important at the moment. If the hacker claimed that something was jamming the signal of Alex's tracker, then something had happened that Division wasn't aware of yet. Either the Swiss police all of a sudden had the necessary technology to suppress their advanced trackers, and they had that technology equipped. Or Alex wasn't with the police anymore. Nikita had the sinking feeling that it was the latter, "Whoever has her has a signal jammer?"

"That can't be the cops," Michael felt as though he was voicing everyone's thoughts. The Swiss police couldn't jam the signal from one of their trackers. Alex had to have been with someone else. Or, there was a chance that she had managed to escape custody on her own and she was hiding underground somewhere. Unfortunately, there wasn't any place she could've escaped to near her last known location. There also wasn't a tunnel or any place underground. Nothing natural had messed with Alex's tracker.

"No. It can't," Birkhoff muttered under his breath. Instantly, he began combing through satellite images, street cameras, and the police radio. Alex couldn't have just disappeared. There had to be some trace of her, especially if she had been with the police. It didn't take Birkhoff long to get his answer. Though, that wasn't the miracle the team had wanted it to be. He heard the news on the police scanner, and it spelled certain danger for Alex. Unless there was still information Nikita hadn't told them. For once, it'd be great if that was true, "Nikki, are you still driving that ambulance?"

"No. I left it with Krieg; he needed the medical supplies. Why?" Dread began to fill Nikita's gut. She had switched her conversation with Ops from the ambulance radio to a burner phone taken from Krieg, and she had left him the stolen ambulance with all the necessary medical supplies needed for a gunshot wound. But she seriously wished she hadn't. The lights from an ambulance would help her race to Alex's last known location faster. Also, if she had the ambulance, she could've had an answer for Birkhoff. She knew that the fact that she didn't was a bad thing. Birkhoff had found something terrible, and it could only mean one thing.

"They found a stolen ambulance abandoned on the highway. Next to a dead cop," Anxiety choking his voice, Birkhoff reported what he had found. Objectively, a dead police officer and an abandoned ambulance had no coalition to Alex's missing tracker. It could've just been another random crime. It was only a coincidence. But Division didn't have any coincidences. The tragedy in another country linked directly to their missing agent. It was only a matter of figuring out how.

Pacing Ops, Michael began to have his suspicions. He didn't want to feed too much into them and have his paranoia take over. But the circumstances fit his assumption. Multiple firetrucks and ambulances would've arrived at the scene of the fire. The truck Nikita stole wouldn't have been the only one available. Someone else could've stolen a vehicle. And that someone else could've followed the squad car from the mercenaries' hideout and struck at her earliest convenience, "Nikita, how did Amanda escape the fire?"

"I don't know. We were both unconscious, then we woke in our own ambulance. I left her there, but she must've seen me steal mine and…" Nikita couldn't finish her thought. Amanda had been watching her from the second she had gained consciousness to the second she had escaped the scene in a stolen ambulance. The bitch could've escaped the same way. She could've stolen the former rogue's idea and began to form ideas of her own. Nikita should never have left the scene like that. Even though Alex and Stefan were in danger, she should've stayed and found a way to kill the bitch. She should've finally killed the bitch.

"Birkhoff, I'm gonna need you to unjam that signal right now," Furiously and anxiously, Michael snapped. Birkhoff didn't need to be ordered twice. While he tried to unjam the signal jammer, Sonya attempted to turn Alex's com back on. She should've been able to do that. Division being able to remotely turn on and off agents' coms was another upgrade created from Nikita's antics. Yet whatever jammer was being used also affected the com. Ops couldn't reach Alex. She was completely out of their grasp and in someone else's claws.

"Unjam what signal?" Sean had entered Ops in complete confusion. He had known that Alex and Nikita went after Stefan while he and Ryan were overseas. But he thought that would've been over with by the time they returned. It shouldn't have taken them that long to save the teenager. Glancing around an anxious, horrified Ops, however, Sean knew that was nowhere near the truth. He thought looking at the monitor would give him answers as to what was occurring, yet he was even more confused. Typically, the agents' trackers appeared on the screen. But both Alex's and Nikita's were missing, "Where are the girls?"

"Amanda has Alex," Hollowly, Nikita replied. She had finally arrived at Alex's last known location and instantly saw that it was the scene of the crime Birkhoff had mentioned. One of the ambulances from the fire was left abandoned on the street. A cop was dead. And his squad car was missing. Nikita didn't need to see anything else to know what had happened. After learning that Nikita had won, Amanda had followed the police car from her hideout. She then lured the cop into stopping, killed him, and kidnapped Alex.

"What? What's going on? What happened? How do you know that?" Frantically, Sean asked a million questions all at once. What the hell had happened on the mission. How had Amanda managed to capture Alex when all she and Nikita were doing was saving a fifteen year old. Had things really spiraled that far out of control. Was anyone dead. Was anyone injured. Was Alex injured. If Amanda had managed to capture her, then something bad must've happened to her. She could be hurt. She could be dying. What the hell had happened.

Nikita's thoughts returned to the fire. Amanda had said that the former rogue had turned her back on those that had made her. She then implied that that is what everyone did. The bitch had also claimed before that Nikita had made Alex; the young woman had been molded into Nikita's vision (at least, according to Amanda's version of the truth). Alex and Nikita had become the same to Amanda. She was going to take her hatred for Nikita out on her 'copy'. She was going to take the person the former rogue had 'made' and turn her against her. It was the kind of plan Nikita could come up with, "Because that's what I'd do."
