After the wedding party had left city hall, they found themselves at a table at the metro court to celebrate the nuptials with a wedding brunch. Trina blushed when her own stomach growled, reminding her that she hadn't eaten at all that day. She had been too nervous about the wedding.

"Well, I'm glad to say that everything turned out the way you planned. Now you're officially a married woman. Poor Adam," Joss playfully pouted then giggled when Trina rolled her eyes.

"Adam?" Spencer asked, confused.

"You don't mean that jerk that gave you a hard time last year, do you?" Cam frowned.

"The very one. He had apologized to me a few months ago and asked if Trina was seeing someone. It was right when she began dating Rory, I believe."

"Well too bad for him. Trina's is off the market for good, so you can tell that Adam guy to get lost," Spencer kissed Trina's hand, indeed feeling like the luckiest man on earth.

"I never had any interest in that guy anyway...even though he reminds me of a young Mr. Corinthos...but I have my own bad boy right here. No need to search elsewhere," Trina happily smiled into Spencer's eyes.

"You think my Uncle Sonny is handsome?" Spencer arched a brow.

"Doesn't everyone except Joss?" Trina laughed. "I bet all the girls were after him back in the day."

"Do we have to talk about Sonny?" Joss made a face. Honestly, she wished that she never had to see the man again, but that was impossible. She didn't need to hear her friend's opinion about his younger days.

"My mom said he was a real looker. I bet that Dex couldn't hold up to him," Cam couldn't help but take a dig and then felt guilty when he saw the look on Joss's face. "Anyway, so what's the plan now that you two are finally married?"

"Well...I'm going to put in a petition for custody of my brother. Now that I have a wife and a home, there's nothing to stop me. But first...there are some things I need to take care of...like presenting my wife with a wedding gift...two to be exact," Spencer smirked. He had been hoping to surprise Trina later when they were alone, but then he thought she might want to make preparations first, so he decided to go ahead and present his surprise now.

"A wedding gift?" Trina frowned, her stomach dropping. She didn't know that they were getting each other gifts.

Spencer took an envelope with a white bow wrapped around it out of the inside of his suit jacket. "Yes. I know that the ceremony and even the reception here weren't anything that you had dreamed when it came to your wedding day...but I'm hoping that this would make it all better."

"Spencer?" Trina frowned as he slid the envelope towards her.

"I want to show you the world, Trina. What better way to start than this?"

Now beyond curious, Trina picked up the envelope and gasped when she pulled out two first-class plane tickets to Paris, France. She looked at Spencer with wide disbelieving eyes. "Are you serious?!"

"Of course," Spencer laughed.

"What is it?" Joss asked leaning over to peer at the tickets. She gasped. "Oh, my god…"

"A honeymoon in Paris, France. I'll finally get to show it to you, Trina. All the art museums. Montmatre. The Moulin Rouge. Monet's garden…"

"Monet's garden? Can we really?"

Spencer simply smiled and nodded.

"Oh my god...I don't even have anything to wear for Paris...I mean...I guess my normal clothes are alright but...this is Paris!"

"Well, that's where my next wedding gift comes in," Spencer chuckled, taking out his wallet and taking out his black visa card that had no limit and slid it over to Trina. Take it and Joss and go shopping until your heart's content. Our flight won't be leaving until tonight."

Trina's brown eyes grew even wider if that was possible. "Spencer...you can't be serious. I mean...this is too much!"

"How? It's my money and we're married, which means what's mine is yours and after all that you've been through, you deserve a day of carefree shopping. Don't worry about anything else. I'll get your things to the house and set up while you and Joss shop."

"Trina, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. If your husband wants to treat you to a shopping trip, accept," Joss gave her arm a teasing nudge.

"I was hoping to spend the day with you," Trina touched his hand.

Spencer smiled and closed his fingers around hers. "We'll have the rest of our lives to spend together. Go, be with your friend. It's going to be a few weeks until you see her again."

"We should eat first though. No good shopping on an empty stomach," Joss happily smiled, looking forward to hitting all the high-end shops with Trina. There was just something about spending someone else's money.

"I just...I can't believe this. I'm finally going to Paris, at last!" Trina happily giggled, feeling like she was floating on a cloud.

"By the way...not to bring the mood down, but I have an announcement of my own," Cam cleared his throat.

Everyone looked at him expectantly, well, everyone but Spencer, who already knew what the announcement was.

"What is it? It's not another gift is it, because I think I'm good for the next year or two thanks to Spencer," Trina chuckled.

"No, it's not another gift. I just wanted to say my goodbyes now, because I'll be gone once you get back from your honeymoon."

Joss frowned. "Your goodbyes? What is that supposed to mean?"

"Well...I had gotten a letter from Stanford. They want me to come to play soccer for them this spring semester. I decided to take them up on the offer," Cam explained.

"What? Why? I mean...it's not that I'm not happy for you. I just...this is so sudden."

"I know it is, but...my life has been kind of swirling downhill lately…"

"Yeah, Joss," Spencer glared at the stunned Josslyn, who looked rather guilty.

"Spencer, stop it. This has nothing to do with Joss. It has to do with doing what's right for me and taking opportunities when they come. I gave up the opportunity to go to Stanford once because so much was going on with my family. But now everything is calm family-wise, you and Trina are starting a family of your own, so I know that you're okay. So it's time for me to take this opportunity for myself and run with it. See where it takes me. It's not like I'm leaving for good. I'll be back this summer to kick some sense back into your head, trust me," Cam sadly smiled, really hating to leave his friends and cousin, but knowing that it was the right thing to do.

"I'm going to miss you, Cam," Trina got up and went to hug her friend. They had been through so much together. It was hard to say goodbye.

"I'm going to miss you too. But you know, you're going to be so busy keeping Spencer in line, you'll hardly notice that I'm gone," Cam winked.

"Hey," Spencer chuckled.

"You just take good care of her. When I come back this summer, I want to see her even happier than she is now. You hear me?"

"Yes sir," Spencer smiled as Trina returned to her seat. "In the meantime, let's order. I'm sure that Trina and Joss want to get to their shopping trip."

Trina just quietly smiled, not wanting to say that she wasn't really looking forward to the shopping trip because she was in the state of mind where she wanted to spend as much time with her new husband as possible. She had to wonder, was it like this for all new brides? Did the bride just want to be in the presence of her new husband all the time, or was it just her?

"It shouldn't take us too long to do some Paris shopping," Joss took a sip of water. "I know all the good shops to go to and Trina looks fabulous in everything. I'll have her back to you before you even have to leave for the airport."

"I'll hold you to that," Spencer smiled, his eyes on Trina. Really, he didn't know how he was going to survive yet more time away from his new bride. Maybe he should go shopping with them. Let Trina have his opinion on what she chose to buy.

Catching the look in his cousin's eyes, Cam placed a hand on his shoulder. "Don't man. Take it from me, you'll regret it. Let the girls shop."

"Are you saying that we're boring, Cam?" Trina questioned, her eyes shining with mirth, showing that she wasn't really upset.

"No! No, I'm just saying that girl shopping trips can be fun...for girls only. Spencer is better leaving you, girls, to it while he gets ready for the flight later tonight."

"Well, let's go ahead and order. The sooner I eat, the sooner we can get to shopping," Trina grinned, picking up her menu.

…..

It had indeed been a full day of shopping. Joss had taken Trina to shops that she had never even dreamed of going to before. The clerks were gracious and helpful as they helped Trina pick out the perfect wardrobe for a honeymoon in Paris. By the time they were done, Trina had more clothes than she ever had in one shopping trip. They had even brought new luggage and had all of Trina's purchases packed inside for the coming trip.

"I don't even want to see the statement when it comes in next month," Trina huffed as they made their way to Joss's waiting car.

"Don't worry about it. Spencer said to buy all that you wanted and I think we did pretty good. We even hit a couple of sales. So it won't be as bad as you're probably assuming."

"Are you serious? We have a completely new wardrobe here, not to mention the makeup and accessories and the shoes...so many shoes. I shouldn't have let you talk me into those pairs of Gucci heels...I mean where will I ever wear them more than once?"

"Trina, the problem is that you're not used to shopping rich. You've always been on a budget, which is fine. But when it comes to times like now...you can afford to splurge a little. Besides, you're Mrs. Cassadine now. Didn't you notice how differently you got treated when they realized that you are now a Cassadine? Get used to it."

"Ugh, no matter what Spencer is the way he is."

"Right. This is the world he grew up in. But like you said in your vows. You saw past that. Keep seeing past that because he needs you to. But also, enjoy yourself, girl."

"Oh my god, I can't believe he's taking me to Paris!" Trina suddenly squealed in pure joy, it hitting her once again that tonight, she'll be going to sleep in the city of lights!

"And you'll be going there with a gorgeous guy, not your boring roommate after all," Joss gave a wry smile.

"I kind of wish you could go too. We had so many plans when we had talked about studying abroad," Trina took Joss's hands, feeling sad that their plans hadn't worked out and that she was going to be seeing Europe without her.

"Ah, don't worry about it. I can just call my dad and get a tour of Europe set up anytime. It's not like I can't go whenever I want. I'm just happy that you're going and with someone you love. There's no better way to experience Paris, right?"

"Right. Two weeks in Europe, then back to the real world to fight for Ace. I'll be a wife...and a guardian of a baby if things go right," Trina chewed on her lip. She made the right decision in marrying Spencer. She's sure of it, despite her mother's misgivings. There was going to be a lot to get used to when it came to child care, but she was positive that she could do it.

"Don't think about the Ace part just yet. Just enjoy your honeymoon. Take lots of pictures, because I am going to want details."

"Details you will get," Trina smiled, looking at the time. "Wow, we better go. We have to be at the airport in another hour. I was hoping that we wouldn't take that long."

"Not to worry. I'll get you to the airport on time."

Trina simply nodded as she got in the car and began to text her new husband.

I'm on my way to the airport. How is everything?

Everything is settled. Your bags are in the house and I've locked everything up. I'm walking out the door now. See you there, Mrs. Cassadine.

Trina again felt a thrill as she read the end of the text. Mrs. Cassadine. She was now a Mrs. Cassadine! Would she ever get used to that? She didn't know, but it was going to be fun to find out.
