Stargate Korr 2
After ten minutes of reflection and meditation, Korr got out of bed and made his way to a room hidden behind a wall of his room. The room was three by three in size, being a small workshop that Korr kept hidden from the slaves and their jaffa, as he was supposed to be a god and they could not see him working on technology or other such matters, because what he used was considered magic. If a jaffa saw him working on his technology and came to the conclusion that his magic was no different from creating a hammer, he would be in serious trouble, as his divinity would be called into question.
Korr's workshop was not a laboratory or anything similar, but a workshop with simple tools where he could make simple repairs to weapons or parts that had superficial damage that he could salvage, in order to save naquadah to get better things from the goa'uld Mot, whom he served.
Korr walked over to a board with several crystals placed upright in a drawer, which was a goa'uld computer. He also pulled out a small gray ball, which was a communication sphere used to relay important information to the Goa'uld he served, and little else. Goa'uld were solitary beings and rarely organized social gatherings or communicated with other Goa'uld to discuss their lives or trivial gossip.
In the five years of service to the Goa'uld he served, Korr had received only one prerecorded call to inform him of the annexation of another planet into his Mot chief's domain, accompanied by a grandiloquent speech in which his Goa'uld chief spent several minutes praising himself for taking a miserable planet from a lesser Goa'uld after murdering half of its inhabitants and torturing the other half….
Korr turned his thoughts away from those memories and focused on his own affairs. He had already taken the first step in his plans to gain supreme power in the galaxy and was preparing to take the second.
It took Korr three hours to make his preparations. It was already dark by the time he finished, which caused him to grimace with discontent. He had been bragging to himself about the knowledge and skills of a symbiote, but applying that knowledge to his own projects, away from typical Goa'uld stuff, had taken him longer than expected.
Even with an Earth computer the same could be done, and the Goa'uld computers, which ran on thought and could carry ships across the galaxy with a simple command and frightening precision, were thousands of years ahead of human technology.
Korr sighed. It wasn't just the fault of his limited knowledge, as he had gone to great lengths to make sure the application he had created was perfect. Any mistake would be his death sentence. He had also checked star maps and verified some important data for the next step in his plan.
Once he was done, Korr took the small communication sphere, checked his zat pistol and the Kara kesh, as well as the artifact that served to heal, though he only carried them with him with no real need on this mission. If anything went wrong, he would be dead and would have no chance to defend himself. However, this particular step was not dangerous and had a success rate of up to ninety percent.
After donning a large hooded cloak that left his face partially hidden, to generate more impact, Korr emerged from his room to find two jaffa on guard duty and, to his surprise, his primate as well.
His primate was a jaffa with privileges. He would always be on duty, but would not come to him during rest hours unless he called for him. Since it was already evening, his cousin should be with his family. Korr looked at him and his cousin greeted him with a hand to his chest.
"Does my god need anything?" asked his cousin in response. He had sensed that something unusual was happening today and decided to make himself available just in case. Korr nodded in satisfaction at the jaffa's good instincts, saving him time he didn't have.
Korr thought that these individuals would make excellent soldiers if he could change the combat and warfare tactics and strategies they used, considering the superior strength, agility, speed and endurance of a jaffa compared to an ordinary human. Jaffa were capable of surviving situations that would kill any normal human, no matter how strong and resilient they might be.
"Call another ten, we will travel through the portal," ordered Korr and, without waiting, he began to walk towards the transport rings.
When he reached the portal, the other ten jaffa had already caught up with him, after his cousin sent them on their way with one of the guards.
"Your duty is to follow me!" Korr ordered, while marking a direction and adjusting the hood of his cloak. The portal created the hole and his cousin stepped forward.
When Korr crossed, his primate was to one side, forming a path next to the other jaffa. In front of them, there were ten jaffa with the symbol of Ra tattooed on their foreheads. They were not pointing their staffs at them and seemed to be waiting for something. Korr pulled out the gray sphere before they said anything and an image of Ra appeared on it.
"This is my envoy!" Ra's Goa'uld voice said and then disappeared. Before the words were finished, all the jaffa fell to their knees.
"Take me to your god!" Korr commanded, as he surveyed the surroundings.
The portal was considered a religious object for the Goa'uld, so its surroundings were decorated with stone paths or simple constructions as rudimentary altars, despite the fact that this planet was dedicated to the construction of Ha'tak ships. Its security left much to be desired.
Fifteen minutes later, Korr arrived at the construction facility and, via a circle of transporter rings, was sent to an orbiting Ha'tak ship. As he walked to the bridge of the ship, Korr managed to see three other Ha'tak nearby. It was a large garrison for this planet, one of the main construction planets in Ra's service, although construction in the lower shipyards was slow.
Ra already had the largest Goa'uld fleet, and with an order from him, the system lords were to mobilize, which saved him ships and he rarely suffered losses, unless some system lord revolted against him, which had not happened in millennia.
Arriving on the bridge of the Ha'tak, Korr encountered a Goa'uld, a decent looking woman. In his eyes, she was no big deal, as considering the ego of the Goa'uld, he was always disappointed in how ugly their hosts were. He only remembered seeing one beauty in the series, but she wasn't goa'uld, but tok'ra. He thought her name was Anise, though the tok'ra used two names and he couldn't remember the other.
Korr pulled out the gray sphere with the application he had created, showing the image of Ra. He presented it to the goa'uld, a woman in her thirties with short brown hair and somewhat better than standard clothing, though it didn't stand out much. It was also tight, but did not stand out on her slender, uncurvaceous body…..
Korr shook his head in his mind and activated the recording.
"This is my envoy, obey him and deliver to him everything I have sent for!" he commanded the imposing image of Ra that he had created. When the recording went off, the woman raised an eyebrow.
"Does my lord have any orders for me?" asked the Goa'uld who was using a woman as a host, while a slave with a good body and a decent face poured him wine.
The goa'uld had no sex, they could choose any host, and their queens were not females, just an adaptation of the same symbiotes to reproduce, at least that was the ancient Korr's understanding on the subject, as the goa'uld queens were very jealous of their knowledge about themselves and did not pass it on to their children, as they did not trust them.
"You will give me two Ha'tak with a complement of no less than five hundred jaffa and their families…" Korr made a whole shopping list, requesting fuel, naqahdah rods, trinium, computers, tools to set up a large workshop, weapons to fill three armories, communication and healing artifacts, a sarcophagus, work tools and two cargo ships. The goa'uld frowned and Korr gave her a sly smile in response.
"Does the goddess have anything to say about that?" Korr asked, as if he had a fervent desire to hear a yes.
The woman swallowed some wine with difficulty as she hastily shook her head. To die was a mercy she would not receive if she even questioned an order from Ra. She was a mid-ranking goa'uld, but she was also a direct servant of Ra, and Ra did not forgive grievances.
As for Korr having used Ra's image to give her orders so that she would not suspect him, that was logical, for not even a system lord would dare impersonate Ra's identity to give any order. Not even one of his enemies would dare to be so brave, it was unthinkable for the Goa'uld and Ra had only been missing for a year.
Even a system lord like Apophis would only dare to attack Ra's border and minor planets, testing the waters and leaving room to apologize and grovel apologetically if by chance Ra suddenly appeared and asked him what the hell he was doing intruding on his territory.
Of course, once Apophis did his thing and Ra didn't show up to punish him, chaos would ensue and the system overlords would swoop down on Ra's resources, ships and planets like vultures. For the moment, Korr reckoned he still had a couple of weeks before the chaos began, and that was plenty of time to steal everything he needed.
Under no circumstances would he take time to research and develop technology or play conquest. That was too foolish when he could steal everything with impunity.
…
Korr was guided to a VIP room while the Goa'uld woman gathered all the things he requested. He could request all four Ha'tak and that goa'uld wouldn't say a peep, in the form of a complaint, but if he did, it would be inevitable that some lesser goa'uld would be assigned to him as help, claiming he needed help controlling so many ships. There could also be questions as to why Ra would leave one of his shipyard planets unattended, which would draw unwanted attention to him.
…
After twelve hours, which Korr used to sleep like the dead, his two Ha'tak ships and the new jaffa were ready. Korr smiled from the bridge of one of the Ha'tak and sent the destination set to his cousin, who had taken control of the other ship and was carrying the jaffa family members. Both ships were fully equipped with materials Korr was sure he would need soon.
His and his cousin's destination was a nearby planet, only six hours away (taking into account that the speed of a Ha'tak ship is approximately thirty-two thousand times the speed of light). There they entered orbit and descended one of the Ha'tak ships to steal the Stargate and their DHD.
With the Stargate in his possession and being in orbit of the planet, Korr sent all the Jaffa families to his own planet and left three hundred Jaffa with him to maintain the security of the ships. Then he set a new destination: Earth.
Korr did not yet know the exact address of the Earth Stargate, but he did know his position in space thanks to the navigation charts of the Ha'tak ship. He needed to go to Earth, as that was his fourth step in his theft of technologies.
A day after leaving the shipyard planet, Korr arrived on another planet and also stole his Stargate and DHD. After that, he took several hours to give instructions to a group of two hundred jaffa, praising his ego and promising them impossible things like any populist and shameless politician, to encourage them to serve him with enthusiasm and prevent them from thinking he was not worthy.
These jaffa had previously belonged to Ra, and for them it would be a disgrace to become servants of a lesser goa'uld. For this reason, Korr did not make it clear to them if they were now his jaffa or if they continued to serve Ra, thus maintaining their doubts and avoiding a possible rebellion. To this end, he showed them the image of Ra who appointed him as his envoy, and they all obeyed without complaint.
The mission Korr assigned them was to stay in orbit of that planet in order to use the Stargate to explore the worlds he had specified, which were part of the Abydos trail that he needed to explore to know which ones he needed to visit in his search for technology.
In ten days, when he arrived at their destination, he would contact them to request a report on their progress.
It was possible that the jaffa would face difficulties on several planets, since these could have inhabitants and there was the possibility that they could be attacked or killed, but Korr had no other fast and efficient option to explore the planets. The only order he could leave for the safety of the Jaffa was for them to explore in stealth mode.
Korr had been clear in his instructions: they were not to engage in conversation, only to explore and return at any danger. They were to take note of details about the landscape, any ruins they found and the type of population they observed.
Once he had finished giving his orders, Korr loaded everything he could onto one of the ships and left two hundred Jaffa with his instructions and a Ha'tak. Immediately, he began his journey through hyperspace. This journey lasted ten days.
Korr was not idle during that time, only sleeping three hours a day and devoting the rest of the time to modifying one of the cargo ships. He installed an advanced sensor suite, comparable to that of a Ha'tak, and fabricated himself some de-icing tools with plasma cannons and other tools he would need.
His creations were rudimentary, but functional, and that was the important thing. To carry out all these tasks, Korr set up a workshop in one of the ship's holds, forbidding access to the Jaffa.
…
"My god, we have arrived at the destination point," reported his cousin, whom he had left in charge of navigation.
Jet should be in his territory, making sure that the other jaffa maintained their loyalty, but for Korr, his territory was secondary and the most important thing was to keep the loyalty of the jaffa that accompanied him.
Korr, who was putting the finishing touches on the cargo ship's sensors, smiled in satisfaction. He had ordered to drop out of hyperspace outside the solar system to avoid detection of the Ha'tak ship.
"Ten of you, come here," Korr ordered, and five minutes later, ten Jaffa, his primate and himself set off for Earth in a cloaked cargo ship.
…
Korr had selected a planet under Ra's domain, which was close to Earth, to carry out his plan to steal ships and resources. Although Earth was part of Ra's domain, Ra had abandoned it and the planets where he could obtain the resources he needed were not so close. In addition, this area was at war, because Marcello, an alien scientist and his people were conducting a guerrilla war against the Goa'uld. Therefore, the territory was dangerous and Ra would not build shipyards there. But now that he was on Earth, Korr had managed to take one more step toward his divinity.
…
The cargo ship reached Earth within minutes, and once on the planet's surface, Korr began to scan Antarctica for the portal there. Thanks to the Ha'tak-like sensors on the cargo ship, he found it easy to locate, although it was covered by layers of ice that required the work of the jaffa and their thawing tools.
…
Two hours later, Korr found himself in front of the Antarctic portal, which was actually part of an ancient outpost. However, he could not activate it at the moment.
"Lock it," Korr ordered the Jaffa. He wasn't there for the portal, his goal was to make sure the SGC and SG-1 didn't accidentally get there.
The jaffa were quick to use the tools he had created to dig into the ice with powerful plasma beams and sink the portal there. This way, the portal would not be activated in any unforeseen circumstances. But that was not the only reason nor the most important reason he was there, for while the Jaffa were burying the portal, he was using another device full of sensors to locate organic matter. Just a few minutes later, he got a signal and told the Jaffa in which direction to point their plasma drills.
…
Two hours later, Korr was grinning from ear to ear, sitting in his luxurious room at the Ha'tak. He watched as a pair of precision plasma tools thawed the body of an above-average looking woman with short, shoulder-length hair.
When the woman was thawed, she was still unconscious, but Korr did not wake her, but instead turned her onto her back, and climbed over her, clearing her neck and bringing her mouth close, to exit his host and shift into the body of the alteran woman, who was still unconscious and weak from a plague, so it was easy for him to control her.
The woman was still asleep as Korr read her memories, shaking his head internally at the waste of life the alteran were leading. Entertainment was scarce, for they were supremacists who refused to mix with other species as inferior, and avoided interfering with the development of any culture.
They were true tree-huggers. Korr almost fell asleep from boredom at the sight of her memories of thousands of years, but woke up when the woman's mind showed signs of awakening.
Korr hastily sealed her mind and left her in a coma. He wasn't sure if he could control an alteran and he also didn't want to try to fight a woman on her way to ascension, with telepathic, telekinetic, healing and other abilities.
Korr put his new host back to sleep and got up, getting rid of his old host. Although his former host was still alive, he would soon die due to the severe damage Korr had caused him on his way out.
Korr hurried to grab the portable healing device, surprising himself by wondering what he was doing as he healed his former host, feeling a strange worry in his chest. Korr frowned, but did not resist healing his former host. He would have done it anyway, despite having a sarcophagus he would have simply thrown him into.
A few minutes later, the zealot who was his former host was on his knees in front of him. Korr called his jaffa and welcomed them with a flash of his eyes, making it clear that his god had a new host.
…
Six hours later, Korr had converted his Ha'tak ship's power source into a subspace power source to increase the hyperdrive's power. He had also modified the shields to make it invisible and was now in orbit around Earth. She was currently fabricating her latest invention: a device that would tell her when the SGC gate would be activated.
With all these preparations, made thanks to the Alteran knowledge he had gained as host, and after making sure that his weakened state due to the Alteran virus affecting his host was gone, Korr activated the gateway. He first sent his former host back to his planet and then called the jaffa he had left behind with the mission to explore and requested their reports.
…
Two hours later, he learned that the scans were not yet finished and that twenty jaffa had not returned. Korr stopped the scan and transmitted Earth's coordinates so that, an hour later, the Jaffa could communicate with his stargate. Korr activated the DHD of the stargate he had on his ship so that the Jaffa would not reach the SGC, but his ship. They had already confirmed one of the addresses he was looking for, the other was the Alteran Repository, but he received no information about it and decided to let it go, as it was not necessary.
Once the Jaffa finished delivering their reports, Korr traveled through the portal to the second Ha'tak and also modified his power source to a subspace one. He modified the shields to make it invisible. This took him only four hours because he was already experienced and knew what to do.
Upon completion, the ship went from a speed of thirty-two thousand times the speed of light to over seven hundred thousand times the speed of light. This did not compare at all to the Daedalus, which would be built on Earth in the future and would be capable of traveling at over fifty million times the speed of light in hyperspace, and over three hundred and sixty million times if a ZPM was attached to it as a power source. However, the Daedalus used Asgard hyperdrive technology, which was thousands of years ahead of the Goa'uld.
Korr had not created a power supply from scratch either, he simply made an adaptation and did not change any parts. In short, he just made a patch, since he didn't need more.
…
Upon completing the modifications, Korr gave instructions for the Ha'tak to be taken to the outskirts of the solar system, activate its cloak and hide behind the Moon. Thanks to its new speed, instead of taking ten days, it would take half a day to reach Earth.
After giving his orders, Korr crossed the portal back to Earth. He was not idle and modified his Kara Kesh to add an alteran personal shield, which unlike the Goa'uld, moved with him and did not need to stand still. He also added the ability to become invisible. These additions were to maintain his safety. The shield worked automatically, it didn't need to be activated, which meant he wouldn't die helplessly like an idiot.
An hour later, with a guard of fifty Jaffa, Korr arrived on the planet Argos and, like a mobster, entered the Argocians' village moving as if he were in his own house, ordering them to beat up anyone who got in his way and searching for his stash of nanites, which the Argocians used as a special condiment in the preparation of meals for special celebrations.
Korr knew this because in the original series, O'Neill was infected by nanites in this way. Upon confirming that he had the nanites, Korr returned to the temple where the portal was located and took the statue of the Goa'uld that was there without explanation.
The statue contained a control artifact that was a Goa'uld computer, but that was not what Korr was looking for, as he had dozens of Goa'uld computers. What he really wanted were the nanites, one of the most advanced technologies in Stargate history.
These in particular were not an advanced version, just a botched one made by a Goa'uld innovator who, unaware of the miracle in his hands, conducted foolish experiments in hopes of obtaining a better host. However, his experiment could at best produce breeding pigs, for evolution was not about scratching his balls and hoping for improvement. Evolution was about adaptation, and a bunch of idiots who did nothing could at best become good breeding animals.
On the other hand, his main goal was not nanites, as those were secondary. He would get the advanced version later. His main goal was genetic and biological information, as this Goa'uld was a genius. He had made several incredible discoveries and had extensive knowledge in genetics and human anatomy, thanks to that his test subjects were exceptionally healthy despite spending the day doing nothing but eating. In addition, there was their accelerated growth rate, which would kill any creature.
Thus, the technology that kept them alive while these modifications were being carried out was thousands of years ahead of Earth in terms of medical technology and beyond what any Goa'uld could achieve, including System Lord Nirrti, who called himself a genius in human genetics. In Korr's opinion, she was just a waste, as all of her experiments had failed.
Korr downloaded all the data stored by the nanite control artifact and then created her own control interface. He thus gained the most advanced knowledge of human genetics and biology in the entire galaxy, perhaps even in all the galaxies, as even the Asgard did not have that level of knowledge of human biology and genetics despite their superior technology. In the series, they had botched several attempts to work with human biology, and it seemed they couldn't even tell an adult from a child, such was their level of ignorance about the human species.
Korr did not inject himself with the nanites, as the body he now possessed was that of an ancient and changing his genetics would be very difficult. He would have to spend years adapting the nanites to gain just a few advantages such as healing or regeneration.
If it was about eternal youth, he could forget about it. The Alterans had unparalleled intelligence just like the Asgard, and while their current brain could hold massive amounts of information, compared to the advantages of a human host who, by using nanites, could be nearly immortal, an Alteran body wasn't worth much.
Korr had changed him to gain his knowledge, familiarize himself with the abilities of a semi-ascended and be able to use Alteran technology thanks to his genes, but he didn't plan to keep this body. Besides, it didn't fit his standards, as it still looked ugly to him.
Despite obtaining nanite technology and having the ability to create replicators, Korr refrained from trying, as completely modifying the nanite control program would take too long. He had better things to do instead of spending time creating technologies that already existed and were just waiting for him to discover them. He only took the statue to secure it and get the knowledge in genetics and human anatomy that was in the computer that controlled the nanites.
…
Korr withdrew from the planet to avoid accidents and left the Ha'tak ship behind the moon. He then began to build two long-lasting subspace power sources. They were not ZPM and would not last ten thousand years, but a few months would suffice. In addition, they would serve him to dial Atlantis and power the city's shield, preventing it from being buried under the ocean when he got there.
Building two subspace power sources capable of powering a city and establishing communication with other galaxies was not as easy as what Colonel O'Neill did to contact the Asgard galaxy. Korr did not want something that would wear out quickly or perform poorly. His intention was to maintain Atlantis' shields with this power source. Despite having a large amount of materials, it took him three sleepless days to build them.
Korr also did not have all the knowledge of the ancient repository and relied on the knowledge of his host, which was not as extensive as that of the Alterans as a whole. He didn't quite know how to create ZPMs, probes or nanites, so he knew he still lacked information. However, he decided not to explore further, as he was confident that he would gain all the Alteran knowledge later.
…
After creating his power sources, the second Ha'tak ship had arrived three days ago. Korr took six hours of rest and, upon awakening and taking a bath, gathered a group of ten Jaffa to charge the secondary source for Atlantis and activate the one he had made for this side of the portal. He placed the ship in orbit around Earth, hidden by the stealth system, and hailed Atlantis.
The portal connected without any problems. Korr left orders for the Jaffa to return and protect the territory, leaving a garrison of fifty Jaffa for both Ha'tak ships. They were instructed to activate the portal three times a day on a specific schedule and keep it sealed the rest of the time.
Thanks to the DHD, as long as its Stargate was active, there was no risk of being connected to the SGC. In case SG teams tried to dial their Stargate while it was active, the Ha'tak ship had sensors capable of detecting it, so their Jaffa would deactivate it. If this plan failed, he had ordered the use of zat guns and sending the invaders elsewhere after capturing them.
Once he had finished giving his orders, Korr and the selected jaffa crossed the portal with the huge subspace fountain that was two meters tall and one meter in diameter. As O'Neill had demonstrated in the original story, by constructing a subspace power source with Goa'uld materials, these could be used to construct Alteran artifacts, as they had the same technological base, which was naquadah. However, Goa'uld technology was deficient and that is why their energy source was so large.
…
Once across, they came to a dark room that the jaffa illuminated...
The city began to shake and Korr grimaced, as the jaffa turned pale. Korr already knew what was happening, for the shaking could only mean that the city's shield was failing, and since he was there, this was not the timeline where Dr. Weir traveled back in time and left everything in place for when the shield failed, the city would emerge.
With Korr stealing everything in this timeline, the Atlantis expedition would not even exist, and so when the shield failed, the city would be flooded, and its host and the Jaffa would drown.
"It's time to use the backup plan," Korr said without any concern in his voice.
This upset his plans, but he was a transmigrant, and he knew the safest course in every difficult situation that was part of history, and the current situation was too emblematic for him not to know the solution.
As the city continued to shake, Korr, his back erect, walked to the side.
"Follow me," he said in a confident, goa'uld voice, to the frightened jaffa.
His tone brimmed with contempt, so the jaffa were ashamed of their cowardly attitudes, and raised their backs, to follow him, while showing solemn expressions.
...
A minute later they arrived at the jumpers' hold and it was not difficult for Korr to identify the time machine, which was also a jumper. This time machine was built by Janus, and was how Dr. Weir escaped when the shield failed in her timeline.
Korr wasted no time and climbed into the Jumper, although his jaffa teams were having trouble getting the huge power source in, and some of them were left outside. They waved to indicate to him that they were willing to sacrifice themselves, being left out, but Korr rolled his eyes in his mind, because as his plan had undergone tweaks, the power source he built was no longer very useful to him, and he could get himself something better later.
"Stop wasting time, throw that junk away and come up!" Korr ordered and went to sit in the command chair, while the Jaffa threw the power source out and entered the Jumper, which was the time machine.
The space was somewhat cramped because of the extra artifacts, which were the attached temporal devices that were part of the time machine, but the Jaffa were able to manage to fit them all in.
As the Jaffa settled in, Korr turned everything on. He didn't have to familiarize himself with anything, as Atlantis was already built before the Alterans left the Milky Way, and his host had witnessed how it was constructed and was also familiar with these transports, which Sheppard would christen Jumpers in an alternate timeline.
Korr did not rush to fly, for that was not what he wanted to do, and as soon as the jumper floated, he activated the temporal artifact, for he did not want to leave Atlantis, only to return to the past, to a time when the shield was not failing.
To be sure he would not encounter the Alterans, Korr timed his departure nine and a half thousand years into the past.
…
Korr felt a strange sensation, and for a second, it seemed like they were entering hyperspace, but the next millisecond, they were still in Jumper's hold, which outside the interior of his Jumpers, was still in darkness.
"Get out," Korr ordered, opening the hatch at the back of the Jumper.
Korr came out after the Jaffa, and they were surprised that everything had returned to calm.
Korr did not explain to them that they were now nine and a half thousand years in the past, and the ZPMs, which powered the city, and which in the future would be depleted, were now at full power.
Korr returned to the control room and connected the consoles to deactivate all the database security measures and take full control of the city, while the Jaffa watched him with wide eyes, praising him as a god, as the lights came on and the city obeyed him.
Korr thought about his next step, for this was an unplanned alteration. He was to prevent the sea from falling on him when he returned to the future. For that, he clearly needed a power source. He could make a regular one, using Atlantis and raiding materials there, but that was work, and this was theft, there was no time to work….
Korr smiled, he already knew where he would find a ZPM. In fact, he knew where there would be more than one ZPM, thanks to his current host's memories, but that could alter the timeline and create a disaster in which his further plans would be affected. He couldn't risk it, having an available power source that he already knew wouldn't affect history if he took it.
With a plan to fix his energy deficiencies, he now had to think of what could be stolen from this place, for he had time, and his goa'uld madness calmed down a bit due to the semi-ascended mind of his current host, though it wasn't much, and he was still in a hurry to develop a treatment.
Now that he was in the past, Korr could study the alteran knowledge that was in the Atlantis database….
What transmigrant would do such a thing, Korr wondered in his mind. The Alterans possessed the technology to create knowledge download units in seconds. He didn't need to study any more than he needed to build such an artifact, and then use it to download the information stored in the Atlantis database into his mind.
His plan decided, Korr looked at his jaffa.
"We'll be a whole week just drinking water, meditate to save energy," said Korr, and the jaffa nodded without a complaint, not even a reluctant expression.
"Excellent soldiers," Korr thought with satisfaction, their discipline was impressive, there was no doubt that their species, the Goa'uld, were superior beings, being able to create these jaffa….
Korr shook his head in his mind, annoyed at his outburst. He got to work and accessed the computer to view the information on the knowledge transfer technology, surprised that the city recognized him and had his host's data. That made his job easier.
…
A week later, Korr had rappaged and dismantled some things to build the artifact he wanted, a kind of helmet, because the facehugger gave him repulsion. He sat on a stretcher in the infirmary, which was his laboratory in the last days, because besides working on his customized knowledge repository, he was also creating a serum, because spending a week without eating and only drinking water, was taking its toll.
Korr put the helmet on his head, and after a light show that lasted a few seconds, all the knowledge of Atlantis was in his host's head.
Korr took off his helmet, and was somewhat disconnected from the world for a few minutes, so he meditated for two hours until he was in perfect condition, and his alteran superbrain was back online.
When he finished assimilating all the information he had programmed, of which he left out all the history, social area, records, civil reports and everything he considered unnecessary, his competence increased by a thousand.
Korr finished creating his nutritive serum based on salts and minerals and called the jaffa for an intravenous meal that would sustain them for another week. He nourished his body himself, speeding up the body's absorption of nutrients.
After his basic needs were taken care of, Korr cleaned himself up and continued with his plan, going to Janus' lab to finish his research on replicators, his main tool in all his future plans.
…
Korr took another week to create a subspace power source that would serve to communicate between galaxies, create a fake ZPM, and thoroughly study Janus' replicators, which were the Asurans, one of his failed experiments, and the worst replicators talked about in all of Stargate history.
These Asurans were the mentally challenged of the family. They were replicators or humans with intelligence, but they weren't even capable of reprogramming themselves, they had to be taught to do so. Plus, they had been hacked several times.
In Stargate SG-1, the insect replicators could not be hacked, not even by the Asgard, but these Asurans, McKay, a barely outstanding human, whose knowledge was light years ahead of the Asgard, hacked them once, and then created a Trojan that was the end of them. Conclusion, the Asurans were a disgrace to the species.
Korr, who knew this weakness, planned to attack them using it, and with the codes in his hands, which were in the Atlantis database, he feared nothing from them and they were part of his theft plan, later.
Now Korr was to go for a ZPM, to fix the city's energy problem and prevent the shield from failing when he returned to the future. To execute this plan, Korr went to Jumper's hold.
"Go up," Korr ordered, and when the jaffa were settled, he gave the time shift to three thousand years B.C., then ascended to the portal room and activated it, dialing Earth's direction.
The portal connected without any problem, because at this time, Ra still ruled there. Korr passed the Jumper through the portal and stepped out into a desert. There was no one around, but that was normal, and he activated the Jumper's camouflage to explore and search for a nearby village where Ra's palace was located. Korr took no chances and studied the whole area, creating a path, marking all possible threats, and then returning to the outskirts to leave the Jumper.
"Wait here and don't come out unless someone approaches. In that case, stun the intruders and see that they are all right until I return," Korr ordered, and made himself invisible with a thought.
The Jaffa showed due astonishment as he walked away.
As he exited the Jumper, and as no one was watching, Korr allowed himself the indignity of running to the pyramid of Ra.
Korr was five thousand years in Earth's past, when Ra ruled. Here, in Ra's treasure room, was a ZPM that SG-1 once stole in the original series, using the time machine. But since it was now Korr's property, that would not happen, and this ZPM would also be his.
…
Korr infiltrated Ra's pyramid, which was guarded by his jaffa, and located the treasure chamber where he opened the door in front of two jaffa guards, who checked everywhere while he went in, took the ZPM that was in plain sight, exchanged it for his fake copy, and came out again. The jaffa found nothing and returned to their positions.
…
Korr ran back to the Jumper. His heist took him two hours because the town was not small, and locating the treasure room took some time.
…
Arriving at the Jumper and finding that there was no change and his jaffa were still waiting, he rested for half an hour. A god could not show himself before his servants sweaty and tired.
…
Catching his breath, Korr showed himself to his jaffa, who were surprised to see him appear and again praised his power. Korr nodded solemnly.
…
A few minutes later, Korr returned to Atlantis.
To activate the portal to another galaxy, Korr used the subspace energy source he created in Atlantis. This power source was a small disk, and when connected to the portal, it would only serve to dial once. It would then melt into ashes due to a security system, and no one would find traces of it. Korr did not plan to leave any loose elements behind.
When a jaffa connected the small disk to the Stargate and returned to the Jumper, Korr dialed Atlantis and the jumper crossed over. Once in Atlantis, Korr made another time jump and returned one minute after the time he left earlier, nine and a half thousand years in Atlantis' past, a little over four millennia in today's time.
Arriving and leaving the Jumper in the hold, Korr wasted no time and programmed the available ZPMs to run one at a time. He then asked for a report with the exact time it would take for the first ZPM to download.
With this information, Korr went back to the time machine and traveled to the future, one day before the ZPM was depleted, to move on to the next one, replacing the depleted one with the one he stole from Ra. He then asked for information on how long the next ZPM would take and made another time jump to one day earlier to repeat the process, with a difference.
In this last step, Korr did not jump to a day earlier because he wanted to arrive at the right time of his departure, so that his theft plans would not be affected by temporal differences. Because of this, Korr dialed to two seconds after his first time travel.
The Jaffa, who did not understand what the hell he was doing going in and out of the time machine, for they did not know that they had made several time jumps, could only blink, not daring to ask what the hell he was doing.
…
Arriving at their last destination in this little tweak to their plans, Korr stepped out of the Jumper and looked around. The hold, which was dark because of the power-saving mode he had imposed on the city, lit up as he arrived, and the city contacted his mind, awaiting his orders.
Korr looked around as if searching for something, but after a few seconds, he grimaced in disappointment. He had expected to see a double of his, as happened on several occasions when the time machine was used in the series, and some disaster was created in the timeline, but there was no Korr around, so he grimaced a second time in disappointment. But it didn't matter, time travel wasn't the only way to copy himself, and in his original plans he already had this contemplated.
…
Korr went to the ZPM room and removed the program he installed earlier to bring all the ZPMs back online. With the ZPM he stole from Ra, the city now had one ZPM completely full of power, and another that still had dozens of years left in save mode and a few years of normal use, so he was in no hurry to bring the city to the surface and left it submerged.
With all the information from Atlantis with him, a full power source, all the portal addresses, such as the planet where Project Arthur was located and the planet of the Asurans, Korr already only needed one more thing from this city, so he returned to Janus' lab.
With these ideas of theft in mind, Korr went to Janus' lab and created an army of replicators in the form of spiders, consisting of ten thousand units. There were not enough materials to make more. His supreme and primary order was to obey him. As the laboratory was automatic, it took him no more than an hour to carry it out.
These insect replicators were not the same ones that inhabited the Asgard galaxy, these replicators were created entirely by him, that's why he could give them a central, personalized order. The reason they were insect-shaped and blocks was because of his own knowledge as a transmigrant. He was a fan of insect replicators and would never create an atrocity like the Asuran.
On the other hand, creating human replicators like Replicator Carter and Fifth, who were intelligent, thinking beings, was another matter altogether. But now, he had no materials for that, he first had to take the Asuran city and take all its resource reserves.
As for his plan to take the Asuran city, with all the knowledge of Atlantis and the programming codes of the Asurans in his hands, the Asurans were already dead.
Korr looked around at the insect replicators around him, who awaited his orders. He had injected nanites into his own body, but not to improve it, because for that he would have to do a lot of studies, but to create a network between his brain and the human replicators, which were connected to his mind.
His network was digital and could be tapped and isolated, but Asurans replicators were forbidden to program themselves or interfere with the programming of other replicators, so he was safe.
As a secondary security plan, the central order of the insect replicators was to obey it, and this could not be changed. All secondary orders could, but if a secondary order violated the primary order, it would simply be ignored.
Korr also knew the weak point of this central order, and that weak point was himself. The central order of the replicators could not be changed, but he could be controlled by someone to use him as a puppet and give orders to the replicators through him.
In the programming of secondary routines, Korr programmed safety measures for such an eventuality, but if someone knew about this method, he could also imagine that these safety measures existed, so he would first delete them and then act on it.
On the other hand, at this moment there was no one who could pose such a threat, so he let it be and looked to his replicators to begin his attack on the Asurans.
…
Korr marched into the portal room, accompanied by ten pale jaffa who watched the replicator army in horror.
…
Once his replicator army was in position, Korr activated the portal, dialing the planet of the Asurans, which was in the Atlantis database, and sent the replicators in an all-out attack, followed by himself.
Crossing the portal along with the jaffa who were frightened but determined, Korr saw several replicators in human form, motionless as statues, as his army of creatures attacked them both physically, viciously devouring their bodies, and in their systems, freezing their programming using the codes in the Atlantis database, and sharing all the information of what they were doing with their current master, which was himself.
Of course, the human replicators were a more advanced version of the insect replicators, with intelligence of their own, and they were already trying to override the codes that had paralyzed them. Unfortunately for them, Korr was not part of the Atlantis expedition and his knowledge of the replicators was not superficial. Being taken offline for five minutes, while he had his hands free to do and undo in the city, whose security measures were as deficient as Atlantis', was his greatest misfortune.
…
After five minutes, his army of creatures had already consumed half of the human replicators, and the other half had been overrun because Korr took advantage of their downtime to take over their training chambers and was mass producing replicators, which swept away the human replicators with extreme ease, leaving their consciousness's locked up and at his complete disposal.
Korr was not lenient and deleted them all after making sure to copy all their files.
…
When the battle was over and the planet was under his total control, the jaffa shuddered as he began to laugh like a madman, full of euphoria and satisfaction. He even felt like breaking into a dance, but a god could not lose his dignity and lower himself to the level of a child, so he settled for watching the report the captured city relayed to him about its spoils of war.
First, he had the main city, which was a replica of Atlantis. In Korr's opinion, it was a mediocre city, its defensive capabilities were good, but its attack was poor, its size too large, and its design he didn't like. He would not use it.
It also had twelve Aurora class battleships, which were horrible, poorly designed ships, they were garbage. However, what really made his heart pound was the method of creating the ZPMs. Despite being disposable batteries, there were twenty of them in the city, and also the probe technology that could get through almost any shield. There were large amounts of materials stored, trinium, naquadah, neutronium, iron and so on.
In addition to all the technology, there was also valuable information for their next assault on the wraith, and Korr wasted no time in getting started. He was feeling elated because of all the chaos he was causing.
…
After two hours, Korr was ready for his next step. Obtaining information about the location of a wraith hive from the replicator database, he took five jumper ships and filled them with replicators to go through the portal and initiate a sneak attack, capturing the hive in hibernation and plunging all its inhabitants into a deep sleep and an illusion created by the replicators.
…
Once everyone was asleep and trapped in virtual reality, Korr used the telepathic abilities of the Alteran he now controlled, combining his power with the illusion of the replicators to extract all the information from the brains of Queen Wraith and her engineers.
This took him a week, but it was another pivotal step on his path to godhood, as the wraith's biotechnology was on the same level as that of the replicators. It was one of the most powerful and advanced things in history.
The wraith had matter-to-energy storage technology, their transportation technology was more advanced than those of the goa'uld, and their bio-ships multiplied the efficiency of any energy source tenfold. Therefore, if he combined all of the Alteran technology with the technology of the Wraith, Korr was sure to obtain technology beyond replicators. Besides, the wraith were experts in cloning and could provide him with a worthy host.
Korr did not rush this time and took a month to develop the technology he needed.
NA 1: Hi everyone, I have edited this first chapter to add more time and the use of Janus' time ship, due to some complaints about not enough time to place a power source in the shields before they fail. With this small addition, I strengthen the storyline without changing the future story.
NA 2: I have addressed another complaint about the lack of detailed explanations about the main character's actions. In this addition, I have explained in more detail where the insect replicators came from, how he obtained the access codes to the asuran program, how he controls the insect replicators, and why the asurans were paralyzed for five minutes while the replicators attacked them.
NA 3: I thank everyone who has commented and provided feedback, especially "naotw". It's always a pleasure to talk about Stargate with someone who remembers the history, even if our views on the replicators remain opposed. It's true that sometimes I assume you guys know a lot of things about the series, but I understand that after so many years, it's normal to forget some details.
NA 4: In this addition, I have decided to use the time machine instead of insisting on placing a power source, because if there are problems with the shield and you are a transmigrator with access to a time machine, it would be logical to use it to get all the time needed to avoid drowning. This also adds some interesting activity in Atlantis and takes advantage of available items, such as Janus' time machine, so that Atlantis is not just a stepping stone in this chapter.
NA 5: Finally, I want to clarify that this addition does not alter the plot or storyline in the later chapters at all, not even the time… well, there are two seconds of difference, but I think they can be ignored.
