Yes, I have started writing the HP/BTVS sequel. However, I am not going to post it until I have several chapters written on it.

Chapter 2: Mrs. Wayne

******Gotham*****

Cordelia Chase, reborn Cora El Kent to the rest of the world, still could not believe she was at Faith's wedding. Talk about a weird change of events. Of course, her transformation into a Kryptonian was the weirdest, so that did give her some perspective. Now she was at the billionaire Bruce Wayne's mansion at his wedding to Faith, the most unlikely of brides.

She sipped a glass of champagne, smiling to herself. "What's so funny?" Clark asked.

"I'm just amused at the surreality that is now my life. The way I have changed is amazing enough, but I think Faith might get the award for the most changed," she said, watching her dance with her new husband. "She looks so different from the girl I knew in high school."

"I think we all are often surprised at life," Clark said, looking at Lex Luthor, who was walking toward them. "Lex is always surprising me, and I've known him much longer than you've known Faith and Buffy."

"You've known a version of him," Cora corrected.

Lex was now in front of them, ending their conversation.

"Hello," he said to Clark.

"Hello, Lex," Clark said, giving him a friendly smile. Buffy wouldn't like it if he was cold to the man.

Buffy, who was the maid of honor, came up to them. "Hey, Lex. Cordy. Clark, are you going to dance with me?"

"Of course," he said.

Cora watched the smiling couple dance away and then glanced up at Lex, who was giving her a very intense look.

"How are you, Mr. Luthor?" she asked.

"Fine," he said. "Please call me Lex."

"Okay," she said. "Does it bother you to see Buffy so happy with Clark?"

"Not at all," he replied.

"That's good," she said.

"Would you like to dance?" Lex asked. It didn't matter to him anymore what Buffy Summers was doing in her personal life. Not since he had met Clark's newest family member. Never had he been so instantly attracted to another person, and he knew it was not her allure of power. His attraction to her happened before he knew that she was Kryptonian.

"I would love to," Cora said, smiling at the billionaire. She had never had a man look at her the way Lex Luthor was right now. It was like she was the only woman in the room; the only one he saw. As they danced, he kept up a light conversation, which kept her smiling. He was amusing and a bit self-deprecating, a trait she always found attractive, especially in wealthy men.

"Does it bother you that your Sunnydale friends still refuse to call you Cora?" Lex asked.

She nodded. "It does, but they'll get used to my new name eventually," she said.

"Have you decided on taking classes in Metropolis?" Lex inquired.

She nodded. "I am going to enroll full time in the fall," she said.

"Do you plan on looking for an apartment in Metropolis?" he asked.

Cora shook her head. "No, I'm going to stay with Martha," she shared. "She's retiring from the state senate, and I can easily commute."

"She's a wonderful woman," Lex said. "At least that's what I've read in my journals. The other me admired her immensely. She made him miss his mother."

"I heard your dad had a huge crush on her," Cora remarked.

"He was infatuated from what I gather," Lex said with a smirk.

"Do you spend much time in Smallville?" Cora asked.

"I do," he said. "It's the place I feel most connected to who I am as the house has been in the Luthor family for generations."

Cordelia thought of her home back in Sunnydale. It must be so nice to have such history. "I can imagine," she said. "I grew up in a new money mansion, but then the IRS took it all. My parents fled, evading their tax burden."

"I'm sorry," Lex said, giving her sincere look of sympathy.

For the first time in a very long time, Cora felt a man was actually listening to her, not just waiting for her to stop talking.

It was really nice. Somehow, she felt that Lex Luthor wasn't going to be just another man asking her for a dance.

******Maui******

Faith could not believe she was married. Faith Wayne was now her legal name even though Mrs. Wayne seemed to be what everyone was calling her. It was disconcerting and annoying but kind of cool.

"It's so weird," she said to her new husband.

"What is?" Bruce asked, putting his arm around her shoulder as they waited to disembark from the plane.

"Getting called Mrs. Wayne by everyone," she said.

"It will probably take a while," Bruce told her. "It's a bit strange for me, too, because that was what everyone called my mother."

Faith grinned. "I hadn't considered that," she said.

"Sir, you and your wife may now disembark," the flight attendant told them.

"Are you ready for our honeymoon?" Bruce asked, still counting himself lucky that she had agreed to be his wife.

"I am so excited," she assured. Then she kissed him using just enough tongue to get him interested before pulling back. "Let's get off this plane. I can't wait to see Hawaii."

Bruce wished he was the type of guy to snap pictures obsessively with his phone because the look on his wife's face as she gazed out at Hawaii for the first time was one that he wanted to remember always.

Faith had never seen such vibrant color in her life. California was a beautiful state full of diverse geography, but this was something else.

They were staying in Maui, so they took a ferry boat over to the island, which allowed Faith to see the city. "This is where Pearl Harbor is, right?" she asked.

"Yes, it's here on Oahu," he said. "We can take a tour before we leave if you want."

"That'd be cool," Faith said, grinning.

When they made it to Maui, she just couldn't believe it. "Oahu is beautiful, but it's full of people. This place seems like paradise," she said, admiring the landscape.

"I think you'll like the hotel. No kids. Only couples. It's in Lahaina," he said.

"I thought we were staying in Maui?" Faith asked.

"The island is called Maui. Lahaina is the largest city on the island," he explained.

"So which island is called Hawaii?" she asked, confused.

"Actually, the big island, but most call it the Big Island. They all have different names and together they make up the Hawaiian Islands," Bruce said.

"Really?" Faith said, laughing. "I feel stupid."

"Why would you need to know that unless you had to come here?" Bruce pointed out, dropping a kiss on her lips.

"So what is our hotel called?" Faith wondered.

"It's a resort—Napili Kai Beach Resort," he replied. "We can easily go snorkeling and sit at the beach. However, there's a golf course, too."

Faith laughed. "You just want to teach me to golf," she said.

"I know you will love it because it's so easy for people like you and me," he told her. "We can get massages at the spa or in our room."

"Now that sounds nice," she said. "But it better be a man putting his hand on you—not a woman."

Bruce enjoyed her possessiveness. "I scheduled two of their top masseuses tomorrow afternoon already," he said. "So we'll see who they send."

"It sounds like a perfect week," Faith said. "As long as there's plenty of naked time on the agenda, I'm down for anything."

"Don't worry, I have plenty of naked time on our schedule planned," Bruce told her, pulling her close for a kiss.

******Gotham******

Alfred welcomed the couple home from their honeymoon, pleased to see how relaxed Bruce looked, how content. It did his heart good to see his former charge so settled at last, and he welcomed the happy couple.

"It is good to have you back, sir and missus," he said.

"None of that!" Faith said, hugging the man. "Wait until you see the pictures, Alfred! It was so amazing. Have you ever been?"

"Yes, it's a beautiful place," he said, returning her smile.

"I missed you and your food," Faith said. "Although we did have a few good dinners."

"I am sure Master Wayne took you to the finest restaurants on the island," Alfred said.

"I tried," Bruce said. "We went snorkeling, but then Faith insisted she wanted to learn how to scuba dive and swim with sharks."

"That was cool as shit, Alfred! It's like a whole new world down there! I had no idea! It's the most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life!" Faith exclaimed.

Her joy and excitement were a sight to behold, and both men enjoyed watching her tell Alfred all about their time exploring the ocean and the underwater pictures.

"We got certified while we were there," Bruce said. "I didn't realize it was something she'd be interested in."

"I didn't either until we went snorkeling" Faith said with a shrug. "Then Bruce got me this underwater camera. Did you know you can take pictures underwater?"

"I did," Alfred said, smiling at her enthusiasm.

"What until you see my pics. I gotta call B and tell her all about it!"

She planted a quick kiss on Bruce before going to their room to call Buffy.

"I am very happy, sir, to see you and your missus so happy," Alfred told Bruce. "Your parents would be, too."

"It was the best week of my life, Alfred," Bruce shared. "I am really excited to begin my life married to her and learning more things about her."

"Are you worried about how she will handle the responsibilities of Mrs. Wayne?" Alfred asked.

"Not really," Bruce said. "She's capable of more than she realizes."

The woman in question was sharing honeymoon details with Buffy with promises of sending pictures soon.

"So it was perfect, huh?" Buffy asked.

"It was the most perfect time of my life," Faith admitted. "I'm actually worried about the catastrophe that must be coming."

"Why do you say that?" Buffy asked.

"Because that's how things work in our life," Faith reminded her.

"Not anymore," Buffy said. "We actually have all kinds of help now. You have Xander and Bruce there with you in Gotham. I can send some slayers to you if you need more support."

"Probably not the best time. I have to take up the Mrs. Wayne duties next week," Faith shared.

"So what is that exactly?" Buffy asked.

"His mother was in charge of a shitload bunch of charities," Faith said. "Being married to Bruce means that I get to fill those hollowed shoes."

"Really? Well, that could be fun. Get to help people with his millions of dollars," Buffy said.

"It's more like organizing charity events. Running outreaches that raise money for the charities—that kind of thing," Faith explained.

"That sounds like work," Buffy said.

Faith laughed. "Yeah, it is," she said.

"How does it feel being married?" Buffy asked.

"It feels pretty damn amazing actually," Faith admitted. "I didn't think it'd feel that different because we already lived together and fought crime and monsters together, but it totally does. I can tell, too, that he feels different. He really likes introducing me to people as his wife."

"He's proud of you," Buffy remarked.

"It seems weird, but he really is," Faith agreed. "So tell me about you and the Man of Steel. I know you hit that finally at my wedding. How was it?"

"Let's just you aren't the only one on cloud nine," Buffy said happily.

"Really?" Faith asked.

"It was perfect. He is perfect," Buffy said happily.

"So you love him?" Faith asked.

"Very much," Buffy told her. "He's the light to my darkness. I never have to worry about hurting him or how my slayer side will affect him because he's Superman. He's loved and lost like I have, and he knows what I feel because he feels it, too."

"I'm glad for you, B. Finally, a man that Giles approves of," Faith said, laughing.

"Oh, he definitely does," Buffy agreed. "He read all the books in Giles collection when they were researching things to help Kara. That's when Giles found how his Kryptonian DNA made him more advanced intellectually, too. He would even read the language dictionaries, so he could read the books in obscure languages even."

"Damn. He's the entire package," Faith said. "When are you going to make an honest man of him?"

"We just had sex for the first-time last week," Buffy said. "I think we can give it a little longer."

"I don't know about that, B. Married life is pretty awesome," Faith shared in clear satisfaction.

"You've been married for like a week, Faith. I don't think you're an expert on the topic yet," Buffy told her.

"Maybe not, but I know more than you about the subject," Faith said, sounding smug.

Buffy laughed. "Okay, I'll give you that," she said.

"Did I miss anything while I was gone?" Faith asked.

"Well, we have had no luck in convincing Illyria that she can't pop in on President Bush whenever she wants," Buffy shared. "He invited her to his ranch in Texas to a family BBQ, and while she was there, someone told her that CNN was reporting negative stories about him. She went to the CNN building in Atlanta and terrorized the staff for half a day."

"No shit?" Faith said.

"How did you not see the news coverage about it?" Buffy asked.

"We didn't spend any time watching TV. When you go to Hawaii, you won't either," Faith replied.

"Luckily, she didn't do too much damage. No one died," Buffy said. "Willow teleported to the station and explained to her that freedom of the press was part of our constitution."

"And it worked?" Faith asked incredulously.

"Enough to release Don Lemon from the choke hold she had him in," Buffy said.

"What are we going to do about her?" Faith wondered.

"Giles, Willow, Superman, President Bush, Secretary Rice, and I are going to be discussing what her role will be," Buffy said.

"Better get her rooting out demons or something," Faith suggested.

"Yeah, I know," Buffy said. "Hey, send me some of those pictures."

"I will," Faith said.

When she joined her husband, he was going through the mail.

"Did you hear about Illyria's attack on CNN?" she asked him.

He looked surprised, and Faith shared the latest gossip with her new husband.

*****Two Weeks Later*****

Faith was nervous. Her first event as Mrs. Wayne was a ladies' luncheon that she so did not want to go to. However, Lucius Fox's very kind wife, Tanya, was hosting the luncheon, so Faith had to attend. Tanya was one of the only women from Bruce's world that Faith had met that she actually liked. Alfred had been giving her etiquette lessons, so she wouldn't embarrass herself when she was not with Bruce.

Because it was a luncheon and not a dinner, she opted to wear a black silk bodysuit that had a red belt and red heels. Naturally, she kept a tiny purse with a weapon, phone, cash, card, and mace, as well as lipstick. The mace was something that Bruce insisted on in case she was ever caught up in a too public place. He rather she be photographed behaving like a typical wealthy wife than the incredibly capable badass she was. As those were his exact words, she just grinned and accepted the mace with a shrug. She wouldn't promise to use it, but she could promise to put it in purse and try to remember to use it.

Tanya greeted Faith with a warm smile and introduced her to several women. "Vivian, this is Faith Wayne. Faith, this is Beverly Parker, Vivian Epstein and Molly Sulzberger. Molly's family own's the New York Times."

"Arthur, right?" Faith asked.

Molly nodded. "Yes, that's right," she said.

"Congratulations on your wedding," Vivian said. "That's quite a catch for a woman from your background."

Faith frowned. "I suppose it is," she said.

Tanya quickly turned the conversation to something innocuous. A little bit later, Molly asked, "Where did Bruce take you for your honeymoon?"

"Maui," Faith said.

"Really? That's so mundane," Molly said.

"Well, I had never been, and that's where I wanted to go," Faith said with a shrug. "We had a blast. I got certified to scuba dive. That was cool as shit."

Although Tanya smiled and asked to see her pictures, Faith wasn't oblivious to the lip curl from Molly or the smug smirk from Vivian. Suddenly, Faith couldn't wait for the lunch to be over.

When she was picked up by Alfred, he asked how it went. "Fine," Faith said.

Alfred had spent enough time with Faith to know that fine meant not very well. "Did you eat?
he asked.

"Some," she said.

"Would you like to go through a drive-thru?" he asked.

Faith grinned. "I would love a double-cheese burger from Sonic," she admitted.

He sighed but complied. "Where the women stand-offish to you?" he asked.

"Not really," Faith said. "Tanya was very nice and introduced me to several women. Some were nice, and some weren't."

"That's usually the way it works," Alfred said.

Faith nodded. "I shouldn't let rich bitches bother me, but I can't help thinking that Bruce could do so much better than me," she admitted.

Alfred clenched the steering wheel in anger, knowing that Master Wayne would be enraged that any of the society women made her feel this way. "He would very much disagree with that sentiment," he said.

Faith gave him a small smile. "You're probably right," she agreed.

After they got her food and a milkshake, she put the rude bitches out of her mind. When her husband came home, her smile in greeting was genuine.

"Hello, husband," she said, greeting him with a very hot kiss as he came into his study where she was working on plans for her upcoming charity event.

Bruce happily returned the kiss. "Hello, wife," he said, enjoying their new ritual. He loved coming home to her after a mostly boring day of meetings.

"How was work?" she asked, taking off his tie and jacket.

"Not particularly hard or taxing," he said.

"That's good because I was very bored most of the day," she said as she began unbuttoning his shirt.

Bruce kicked his study door shut since his wife was determined to have sex before they had a full conversation. Since he could rarely deny her anything, he was, of course, going to allow her to have her wicked way with him.

After he was seduced by his siren of a wife, they were on his office chair when his intercom buzzed.

"Sir, will you and Faith be dining in tonight?" Alfred asked.

"I believe so," he said, looking at Faith who nodded.

"How did the luncheon go?" he asked.

"Okay," Faith said. "Makes me more nervous, though, about this charity event I'm working on." She got off him and went over to the table where her papers were spread out. The one thing that she had really gotten involved in was the Boys and Girls Club that Gotham had in the very poor part of town. It had been very neglected due to how rundown the area was, and Faith was really excited about building it back up. This was something that was completely hers, and it wasn't something Bruce's mother had been involved in. She had already begun directing some of their own funds into the place and spending time there. Before her wedding, she and Xander had begun teaching self-defense classes for boys and girls. Nothing hard core. For the girls, Faith was focusing on helping the girls feel confident in keeping the more aggressive boys away or muggers. Xander was working on confidence building and basic self-defense.

Xander, in fact, had a crew of guys volunteering to do some much-needed maintenance on the place. Xander worked for the Council, but once Bruce realized how talented he was in construction, he had him spot-checking various job sites of Wayne Enterprises, looking for safety violations and gross amounts of waste. Bruce estimated that in the past six months Xander had saved his company two million dollars in waste alone and probably a quarter of a million in fines from safety violations.

"Xander is building a stage in the gym," Faith said. They were both excited about the fundraiser, but they agreed she would be in charge of people details while he would do the structure stuff like stage, table and chairs, etc.

"So you are going to have some of the kids do some demonstrations?" he asked. "That should be a real hit."

"For normal people," Faith said. "But your people are kind of mean. If those uppity bitches say anything mean to those kids, I might lose it."

Bruce frowned and wondered if someone had said something to her at the luncheon. "Did someone upset you today?" he asked.

She scoffed. "Like I'd let those bitches upset me," she said. "But a couple did make it clear that I was super lucky to bag you."

If she had been looking up, she would have seen the flash of anger in his eyes, but he quickly doused it. "They have no idea how amazing you are," he said, picking up her hand and kissing it.

"You are the only man I know who can do that without looking like a total tool," Faith said, laughing at him.

"That's because men today have no class," he said before pulling her into his arms.

*****A Week Later*****

Feeling excited but nervous, Faith placed the last of the name cards on the table.

"There. That should do it," she said.

"Are you sure this looks okay?" Angela asked her. Angela was one of the teenage girls who came to her self-defense class. All of them were wearing black yoga pants with red t-shirts that said Gotham Boys and Girls Club. Faith wanted the donors to know exactly who they would be helping. The older kids were serving finger foods while there were professionals hired to serve alcoholic drinks. Angela had a lot of hair, and Anya had French braided her hair.

"I think you look fabulous," Faith told her. She currently had on the same outfit, but she did plan on changing before the night was over.

The kids were feeling the same way she was—both nervous and excited to be showing off some of the tricks Faith and Xander had taught them the past six months.

Gotham had gotten used to Xander's presence in Wayne's life after Buffy's coming out and big reveal. At first, kids flocked to the club just to see him, but after a while, the ones who stayed were the ones who were really interested. Eventually, it became known that Buffy was best friends with Xander Harris, Willow Rosenberg, and Faith, the now wife of Bruce Wayne. That Faith didn't go to Sunnydale high school left room for all kinds of rumors, and they never really explained. Faith admitted to living in Sunnydale for a bit. Since Willow had expunged all traces of her criminal record from everywhere, no one really believed reports that rumored she had been in jail. It just seemed highly unlikely that the world's golden girl Buffy Summers and billionaire Bruce Wayne would be so close to an ex-con, so the rumors never received much traction.

The gossip about Faith, however, actually made teenage girls like her more. They felt she understood what it was like to be maligned, to be bullied, to be an outsider. She never seemed rich or acted better than their mothers, and they were all treated with genuine respect. Their mothers felt it when they met her, so the community quickly rallied behind the work Faith Wayne was doing in the neighborhood. The Boys and Girl Club didn't need the charity event to be a success, but Faith wanted it to be for Bruce's sake. She felt, as the new Mrs. Wayne, he needed to feel proud of her and know his mother's legacy was in good hands.

Of course, Bruce already felt all those things, and when he arrived with Buffy and Clark, the kids' happy, excited faces told him that Faith had already surpassed his mother. His mother had a big heart, but she was never adored the way these kids clearly adored his wife. Love and pride for Faith burned even stronger inside him as he observed her work.

"Wow," Buffy said, watching Faith interact with some of the younger kids. "They really love her."

"They really do," Bruce agreed.

Clark, who was planning on doing a write up for The Daily Planet, snapped a quick picture of the very candid scene. "Great shot," he said.

Faith looked up. "Look who's here," she said, smiling. The kids gasped in excitement when they recognized Buffy and ran to surround her. She had told them that her friend was going to MC the event, which pretty much guaranteed their willing participation. That had been Xander's brilliant idea. The teenagers especially were reluctant to do anything in front of an audience, but they were gung-ho to participate when they heard the famous Vampire Slayer was going to be in attendance.

"Buffy!" a few exclaimed.

Buffy sighed. "At least they're cute," she said to Clark, who chuckled and stepped away, allowing her fans to surround her.

Bruce moved to hug his wife. "Are you nervous?" he asked her.

"A little," she admitted.

"Don't be," he told her. "It's going to be great."

"It's not as high class as your donor friends are used to," she pointed out.

"Most of them are very generous people who love a good cause," he said. "You are really helping people in our actual community, not just people far away or a nameless possible cure to some disease that will never directly impact their lives."

"True," she agreed.

An hour later, guests were arriving, and Faith had changed into a fancy dress—something the kids weren't used to seeing in person. However, they all had seen her photographed with her husband, so they weren't terribly surprised by her appearance. Buffy Summers, as the MC, guaranteed that they were at maximum capacity. Because Faith made sure that all the parents who wanted to come had tickets, the number of rich guest tickets were a hot item, which made them even more coveted. Only the extremely wealthy were allowed to purchase a ticket, which were sold at $5,000 a pair or $3,000 a single ticket. When the teenagers found out how much she was hosing the rich for, they were dumbfounded.

"There's no way anyone will pay that!" several said.

"They will for a chance to see my good friend, the vampire slayer," Faith announced. Then the kids erupted, super excited.

Now her kids were behaving, acting very mature. The younger kids were mostly sticking with their parents. A few of the more outgoing were with Buffy at the table, where she was giving away signed autograph pictures of herself. She tried to get out of the task, but the younger kids were so excited to be helping her in this very minor way. It was sweet.

The guests were mostly there waiting for a chance to meet her, to talk with her. Then it was time to get start, so Buffy made her way to the stage after Bruce Wayne introduced her.

There were about seventy-five adults and thirty kids in the large gym, so it was filled to capacity. Buffy smiled at the cheers and clapping. Would she ever get used to it? It still seemed like she was living someone else's life.

"Thank you so much for that introduction, Bruce," she said, smiling as he stepped down next to his wife.

Buffy looked down at the audience from the small stage Xander had built. "I am very happy that I could be here today with all of you to support my—Faith, who I consider a sister. We used to fight like sisters when we first met," Buffy revealed while Faith chuckled, nodding. "Now, though, I am very proud of the woman she has become and the work that she is doing here in Gotham with their Boys and Girls Club. I am the first to welcome the empowerment of the youth as I was as young as some of them when I received my calling, and only fifteen when my first Watcher died in the fight. These kids need a safe place to go after school because it's not just vampires and demons they need to be worried about. There are plenty of human monsters that prey on children and teenagers. Human trafficking is working hard to surpass drug trafficking in our world, so I hope those of you that can will dig deep to make sure that this center stays open. That these kids will have the tools they need to be safe and feel cared for. Thank you."

Buffy stepped down, and everyone stood up and clapped for her. Faith had her smallest kids demonstrate their board breaking ability, which was a relatively easy skill to teach and master. The kids were all surprised at how easy it was to do once she showed them, and they were eager to show it off. Little kids doing it was much more impressive than bigger teenagers, so she only had them doing it. The adults predictably clapped, impressed.

Then she had the teenagers acting out scenarios where the girls were walking with their purses, and the boys tried to snatch their purses. The girls used different techniques she taught them to fight off the boys. The one that involved kicking the guy between the legs had Xander call out, "Don't worry, I made sure he wore a cup!" The audience laughed, while the men clapped in relieved appreciation.

The entire presentation was a hit, and Faith felt good about the event. The youth members had been instructed that if anyone handed them an envelope to take it to the club's manager or Xander or Faith. Throughout the evening, envelopes were given to them by the excited kids.

Faith took a break to visit the bathroom. While she was doing her business, she heard some women come in. "I cannot believe that she actually had an event here," one of the women said. Faith recognized the voice and tried to place it.

"At least we got to meet Buffy Summers," the other woman said.

"Yeah, and you would think she'd at least have had the slayer do a demonstration," the woman said.

That was it. Faith flushed the toilet, and she opened the stall. It was Vivian and Molly—no surprise.

Vivian looked embarrassed to be caught gossiping about their host while Molly lifted her chin. No, this rich bitch wasn't about to apologize to no one.

"Eavesdropping is so tacky, Faith," Molly said.

"Actually, I was taking a piss," Faith said with a smirk. "Gossip and trash talking about the hostess is what I find tacky, but I'm not the rich bitch you gals are. I just married into wealth, so what do I know?"

Faith washed her hands and left the bathroom, but the anger was there.

Buffy noticed Faith's look of upset as she came back to the crowd of teenagers. Although she smiled at the kids, Buffy knew something was wrong.

"Hey, everything okay?" she asked.

"Fine. Just the same pair of rude rich bitches that let me know at the last luncheon that I will never belong with them," Faith said hollowly.

"Who wants to?" Buffy said grinning. "You are so much better in every way and so is your man."

"That is very true," Faith said.

"Are those the women?" Buffy asked, looking at the two who came from the same direction Faith did.

Faith nodded. "Yeah," she said. "One of them is married to the man who owns the New York Times."

"Thanks for telling me that," Buffy said, looking smug. "Now I will make a point of never answering a question from any reporter from that publication or taking any interviews from them."

Faith laughed. "Harsh. I like it," she said.

They wrapped up the event, which was a huge success. The manager of the club could not believe the amount of money that was raised.

As they said their goodbyes, Buffy pulled Bruce aside. "Hey, Faith probably won't say anything, but I thought you should know something," she said.

"What?" he asked.

Buffy pointed to the two women who were leaving. "Those two women are constantly going out of their way to belittle Faith and make her feel like she doesn't belong," Buffy shared.

A tightening of his eyes was the only indication he gave that he was upset at Buffy's news.

"Thank you for telling me," Bruce said.

"I thought you should know," Buffy said. "I doubt she would've told you."

Bruce knew she wouldn't have said exactly who the women were, so he noted who they were and began making plans.

A week later, Vivian Epstein's husband couldn't believe his business was bought out by Wayne Enterprise.

"What the hell, Bruce? I thought we were friends?" he asked, storming into Bruce's office.

"Oh, we are," Bruce said. "That's why I am keeping you on as CEO and not firing all your employees."

"Then what was the point of this?" Epstein asked.

"I love my wife more than anything," Bruce told him. "Your wife and her friends have been really unkind to her."

Epstein looked at him in disbelief. "What?" he asked.

"You heard me," Bruce said. "My wife will be treated with respect at every encounter by the women in our circle. Make sure Vivian understands that or I will take your company a part piece by piece and leave you and your wife destitute."

"You can't be serious!" Epstein exclaimed.

"Oh, I am very serious," Bruce said. "I just purchased your company for fifty million dollars. That should tell you exactly how serious I am. I will liquidate it just as easily if your wife and her friends can't learn to be nice to the woman I love. It's as simple as that."

Epstein realized that Bruce Wayne was deadly serious, so he nodded. "I will speak to Vivian," he said.

"Then you can continue to run your company the way you've always ran it without any inference from me," Bruce assured him.

Epstein nodded and left the office, mumbling about damn women.

Bruce wasn't finished, though. He knew Molly Sulzberger was the real leader of the pack, so he began making moves, buying up small publications. Then he bought up enough shares until he was on the board of Arthur's paper.

"What are you doing, Bruce?" Arthur asked, puzzled by Wayne's sudden interest in journalism. Science and innovation were always his main interests.

"Making sure you understand that I will be voting against you at all times if you don't get your wife under control," Bruce said. "Eventually, I will own the majority share of this paper. Then I will destroy it if I have to."

"Molly? What has she done?" Arthur asked.

"She has been very unkind to my wife," Bruce said.

Arthur laughed. "You're joking," he said.

Bruce stood up. "No. I'm not. I love my wife more than anything," Bruce said. "Anyone that hurts her will live to regret it. Make sure your wife understands that. She better work to make Faith feel a part of our world and not an outsider."

Arthur realized Bruce Wayne was deadly serious and nodded.

Bruce smiled as he left the office. Now his wife would not have to worry about the "rude bitches" anymore.

He loved taking care of her.

*****Chapter End*****

This was just something I could just see Bruce Wayne doing. I hope it seems realistic to my comic readers.

Well, this story hasn't generated much interest even though the first story was well read, but I like it. I'll just write and post when I'm inspired. If people want to read it, all the better. I figured this chapter and the last can almost be considered a continuation of the last story, so if I don't write more, it won't leave anyone hanging.
