S2 E18 AU Bikini Wax
AU stories for NCIS episodes. Each is independent from all the others since this is based on the possibility of parallel universes and multiple timelines…. many, many of them. Later on some may seem to follow something that happened in an earlier AU episode story but it's probably coincidence unless I say otherwise in the beginning. Again, these are AU scenes/stories which means a character may die in one story and be alive in the next one. Or it might be a missing scene.
This is a short alternate universe story/scene for season 2, episode 18 Bikini Wax,
The original episode aired on March 29, 2005.
Some of the dialogue may be from the episode.

"Good afternoon, gentlemen," they were greeted at the car wash. "Your sedan looks like it could use a wash."
Gibbs showed him his NCIS credentials.
"We're looking for Jonathan Redding."
"I'm Rodney, Jon's supervisor. Something I can help you with?"
"Yeah, you can point him out to us," Gibbs told him.
"He's right over there." Rodney indicated a man across the wet bay.
Gibbs and McGee looked where Rodney indicated.
"I have him driving today," the supervisor added.
Redding was oblivious to their presence and there were a lot of civilians around. If the man was the killer he might try to get away and someone could get hurt. Gibbs decided against approaching him or even just calling out his name to get his attention expecting him to walk over and say "yeah, what do you want?"
Gibbs looked at Rodney. "You know what? The sedan could use a wash. Rodney, make sure Jon is the one to come get our car and do not tell him about us."
"Jon do something wrong?"
"We just want to talk to him" Gibbs gave Rodney his best stare.
McGee had caught on. "A few questions is all."
"Okay. He's a really good employee."
Gibbs and McGee made sure Redding wasn't out of their sight and Rodney walked to the sedan to get it moved to the head of the line.
When Redding went to get in they were behind him before he opened the door.
"Hi Jonathan, we're federal agents and we have some questions for you."
Redding was startled but didn't panic. He'd been through this before so he put his hands on the car and said to Gibbs, "Okay. I guess you'll tell me what it's about." Then he looked around and found his boss. "Rodney, I need to take a break."
A while later they were watching the video taken at the bikini contest.
"Speed it up, Abs," an impatient Gibbs instructed. Redding had been entirely too calm and too cooperative to be guilty of the petty officer's murder. He knew he could be wrong but his gut was telling him that they were barking up the wrong tree.
"It's past 1:15, boss," Tim announced.
"He's telling the truth. Jonathan Redding did not kill Petty Officer Jordan."
End
Thanks for reading.
In this reality, Tim does not run through the car wash chasing Redding and Tony and Kate don't tease him about his clean gym clothes.
