Master Control
Chapter 73
With a click at the front door of the Midoriya home, Eri's head lifted her head up from the pillow. All around her were gentle waving lights coming from the tanks of aquatic life around her. It was easier on her mind, to have a calming atmosphere in her bedroom that had enough lighting to let her confirm her surroundings. It helped to remind herself the nightmares were not real, or at least not in her life in the present. Due to the fact that she had been a light sleeper for as long as she could remember, this was the best solution besides medication to lull her back into dreamland.
Something had disturbed that, someone had opened the door.
Paranoia told her it was an intruder, worry told her that a child had just wandered outside, logic told her that one of the older members of the family had just come home.
Smacking her dry mouth and rubbing her eyes, Eri sat up in her round bed. "Mom?"
No response, probably because she wasn't loud enough but she didn't want to wake anyone else up. Sliding her legs out from the comforts of her bed, she slipped her bare feet into some fuzzy lobster slippers and shuffled herself to her door.
"Dad?" She asked slightly louder, peeking out into the darkened living room.
A light flicked on in the kitchen, something not so quiet shuffling through the cupboards. The fact that she wasn't getting any reply began to make her more self conscious about her own noise level. Something was being quiet, enough to hide its identity but not the fact that it was present.
Sneaking around to get a view of whatever it was, Eri felt tempted to look just a fraction into the future to see who exactly it was. No need she told herself, looking into her personal timeline was dangerous.
But whatever was here with her did nothing to make her feel safe.
"I can hear you Eri." Himiko's voice echoed out of the fridge, the smaller girl grasping her chest and letting out the breath she didn't know she was holding.
"You scared me." The youngest sister began to get her thumping heart under control.
"What? You thought I was a villain or something?" Himiko grabbed herself plenty of snacks, just temporarily storing them in her chest as she found whatever sounded good to her appetite.
"It's not the first time they attacked our house." Eri confessed as she moved around the other side of the fridge, getting a cup of water to drink.
"Yeah, but now no one can even find this place unless we literally hold their hand and walk them here." Himiko reminded the girl, closing the fridge and moving over to the counter with the rest of the wedding cake leftovers. "Face it, no villain is sneaking in here."
"Yeah." Eri nodded, taking a short sip of her-
*CRASH*
As soon as Himiko looked up from her scavenging towards Eri, she dropped the plate she was holding, letting it shatter against the ground. Eri immediately looked over, noticing how paralyzed Himiko appeared as the girl stared right at her. Her pupils briefly dilated, before turning into dangerous slits of yellow as her skin rippled in purple waves.
"Himiko? What's wrong?"
Kota kept his arm still, letting the creator of the omnitrix fiddle with the control dial until it snapped back into place. Reiko stood silently to the side, just watching the space outside through the windows.
"There." Azmuth patted his hands against his uniform. "That should solve any faults, try not to make any more."
"Not like I know how." Kota muttered, Azmuth hopping from his wrist and back to the main computers of the prison's control deck.
"That's what I'm worried about." The first thinker began performing basic diagnostics of the facility, making sure everything was back to working order.
"Oh hey." Kota held up his omnitrix, twisting the dial to scroll through his aliens. "Did you also fix how it sometimes gives me the wrong alien?"
"There wasn't an issue." Azmuth answered with a scoff. "You just haven't figured out how to use it properly."
"Well aren't you going to tell me how?"
Trying to appease to the child, Azmuth turned around in his small chair and gave the boy a hopeful and encouraging smile. "Wouldn't you like to figure it out on your own, like a true hero?"
"Wouldn't a hero ask for help to figure out his own powers?"
Azmuth huffed as he failed to convince the boy to stop bothering, he turned back to his work and double checked the new cell that had been modified from the one that up until recently held ten ghost like children. Now it held their most recent threat, Ghost Freak, what a stupid name for an ectonurite.
*SKREE*
Izuku teleported into the room, rolling his shoulder as he had just finished the tiresome work. "The satellite hubs should be up and ready to resynchronize, Itsuka is escorting the fleet back to their homeworld with Ra'ad, and I found a place for my kids to stay for now. How's the cell holding up?"
"It's sufficient." Azmuth answered as he looked over the current state of it. "Now I'll have to find a way to explain to the federation on why during a solar flare that the newly discovered species they brought to me was replaced by a new prisoner they have no record of."
"Thank you." Izuku bowed before the creator before straightening himself, giving a short nod to Reiko as she turned her attention to them. "Will you need any help to convince them?"
"I think you two have done enough damage. The only reason why I've agreed to keep your presence here a secret is the fact that I'd rather not let my omnitrix be destroyed. That, and at least one of you can clean up after yourselves."
Kota rolled his eyes as he folded his arms, walking off to look out one of the windows and ignoring the rude comments of the little alien. Though before they left, Izuku still had one question on his mind.
"Azmuth, what are you doing here? We thought you might have been a prisoner given how the federation treats crime, but how come you're in charge here?"
"Do not misunderstand." Azmuth began to connect the rebuilt satellites to the main station, calibrating them to the system. "I am still a prisoner, but after so many times of having them come to me to solve their problems I've been given more leniency to do other work so long as I contribute some of my time to helping to monitor and maintain this facility. Of course, if I wished to, I could have left at any time and gone into solitude, but I would prefer not to create any more problems. After today though, I'm beginning to reconsider my options."
Izuku could, sort of understand what he was talking about. The man wanted peace, but working at a prison that was also a strategic target, even if it was under the protection of the galactic federation, might not deliver on its promise of safety and security. "Well, if you need any help feel free to reach out."
"I'll consider it." Giving a loose commitment to them, Azmuth finally finished his chores and glanced back to the two boys. Children, both with unbelievable power that neither could have dreamed of having, still sought to do some good with it. They could have had fame, fortune, glory, but they keep turning the opportunity down. "Now, if you'll excuse me I have to make sure that there's no record of you two here. Get going before the cameras here begin to reactivate."
"And that's where I can assist."
An old, british voice, one that Izuku had known for many years, called out in his cheery and helpful demeanor. Turning around, Izuku was greeted by a face he had not seen in some time.
"Oh." Reiko actually had a hint of surprise upon the man's arrival. "This guy."
"Professor Paradox." Izuku said, and began to worry about what could have brought him here. "This isn't about me using clockwork to fix the satellites is it?"
"Of course not." The time traveler assured him with his kind smile. "I do my best to give a warning before drastic damage to the timelines are caused."
"Um, hello?" Kota inserted himself into the conversation. "Who is this guy?"
"Just your next door time traveling neighbor." The man introduced himself with a short bow. "Professor Paradox."
"Time traveling." Azmuth scowled as he tried to distract himself with real work. "If you're going to discuss anything of the sort do it out of my presence, I'm busy."
"If you insist." With a wave of his gauntlet, Professor Paradox opened a swirling blue light before the children, stepping half way through it and motioning for them to follow. "I'll make this quick."
"Oh wait!" Kota slapped his hand against his head just as he remembered what he was missing. "My bag! I left it on the-"
The bag that Professor Paradox oh so conveniently held up, the boy dumbly stepping forward to grab it and glance back confused to Izuku.
"Does weird stuff like this happen a lot?"
Doing his best to act casual about the whole thing, Izuku stuffed his hands in his pockets and walked forward. "It used to be around once a year, but the current average is once a month for me."
With no other choice but to go along with it, Kota followed the two through the time space portal. "I'll leave the weird stuff to you, I want the cool stuff."
"Do I count as a weird thing?" Reiko whispered over to Izuku, who didn't know how to answer that kindly.
In a blink of an eye, the three found themselves in the dark of the night with shadows of trees all around them. Just ahead, was the Wild Wild Pussy Cat's remote base, the lights of the windows bleeding out and illuminating the wooden walls of the cabin.
"Huh." It was a lot less of a dramatic trip than Kota expected. They were home now? Just like that as if the whole space adventure never happened. Hefting his bag "I was at least hoping we could take a cool ship back."
"We shouldn't delay." Paradox gestured to the place that Kota had been using as a home this summer. "Now run along, your mother has missed you dearly."
"Great." Kota rolled his eyes as he prepared to be showered in hugs and kisses.
"Oh wait." Izuku stopped him, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a very formal document. "Here, from the princess."
Immediately assuming it might be money, or even a deed to his own planet, Kota excitedly took the slip of paper. "What is it?!"
"Basically." Izuku began to summarize its contents. "Letters of divorcement."
'Divorce?! I was never married!" Crumpling the papers and shoving them into his pocket, Kota stomped his way over to the door. "Friggin space royalty. Couldn't even give the guy who saved them a medal."
Reiko glanced over to Izuku's jacket pocket, seeing some ribbon tucked within it alongside a glimmer of rare metal attached to it. "Are you going to tell him?"
"No." Izuku tucked the medal further away. "He'd only be more upset that I got one and he didn't. I wish Princess Provity could at least have given the rest of you medals. I don't need her 'special attention'."
"Pardon me." Professor Paradox hadn't left quite yet, for he had business here. "May I have a moment Izuku?"
Reiko waved to the two as she started floating off into the night towards the girls area, giving Izuku his privacy, for tonight at least. That left Izuku to mentally prepare himself for whatever news the man from the future had to bring. "How worried do I need to be?"
"Very." Paradox wasn't playing around the topic anymore. "And unfortunately, I won't be able to help."
"Why not?"
"I warned you before, there are places that time travelers must avoid. This is your timeline, and only you can steer the events yet to come." With a dreaded sigh, Paradox ran his hand over the polished gauntlet on his other arm. "I do hope you are successful, you will need to promise that you'll never give up, never give in."
"I won't." Izuku promised, bracing himself as whatever Paradox had arrived to warn him about.
As confident as Izuku sounded, it did little to settle the time traveler's spirit. "It will be tempting, more so than anything you've ever experienced."
Sensing his time in the present was coming to a close, Paradox began to step back into the still open portal. "Oh, and Izuku?"
"Yes?"
"There will be many distractions, many that will demand your immediate intervention. You must remain focused on the bigger picture, what's most important, no matter how much it hurts."
Swallowing the choking lump building up in his throat, Izuku nodded in understanding. Fear kept him rooted in place as the man left him, alone in the dark of the woods with no other company besides himself. Things had gotten dangerous many times in his life, and Paradox had occasionally dropped in to give some pointers and warnings.
But he just got back from a threat that could have sparked bloodshed across the galaxy, one that Paradox was absent for. Just before that he helped save his homeworld from turning into monsters, something he too didn't warn him of.
Something more dangerous was on the horizon, something Paradox wouldn't be able to help with.
"There you are." The sunken voice of Eraserhead brought him out of his darkened thoughts. The man noticed, narrowing his glowing red eyes upon Izuku's stiff form. "The kid didn't seem as scared. Did something go wrong?"
"No, but it might."
When you are confined to the limitations of a room, forced to breathe and eat through tubes, and forced to act only through subordinates, life quickly grows dull. Once he could go anywhere, do anything, and no one could say no. Correction, anyone who did voice their displeasure was quickly removed by his own hand. That's how powerful he was, in body mind and spirit there was none who could challenge him.
Now here he was, stuck in a shell of his former self and limited in his ability to act. His ability to even observe his underlings was faulted, without eyes he had to rely on several sensory quirks in order to tell if someone was even in the same room as he was. Only the saving grace of a partial technopathic quirk let him see the world through the lenses of cameras and computers.
For as far as the world was concerned for years, he was dead.
If it wasn't for Tomura, he would even consider retiring.
The young lad had a seething hatred that ran into his very being, one that could be admired if it wasn't for his childlike attitude. He had no discipline, throwing a tantrum and acting only on impulse. Still he had potential, and in regards to his family line it was mostly to taunt the man who had put himself into such a pitiful state.
He gifted Tomura some of the bare resources he had left, and only expected him to cause some damage and announce to All Might that his nemesis was not dead. Plans to turn Tomura into the perfect host of his very soul were going underway, but then something interesting happened.
A boy with a watch, a quirkless one, had gone unnoticed despite many irregularities in his life.
The moment that Kurogiri had brought Tomura back, he expected to hear that All Might had tapped into more of his rage and burned through more of the embers of One for All. No, the self proclaimed hero arrived after the attack. A boy undid all of the good doctor's work on that nomu, and dealt a deadly blow to Tomura with the same device.
Immediately intrigued, he reached out to his direct source in UA and had him report in what the story was.
A PQE, one that could give and take quirks, somehow was created and existed in this world for years and it never crossed his chains of information.
Just as he was contemplating on how to respond to this new development, Tomura ran into the boy again and nearly paid the price of his life. He nearly gave up on the apprentice, wanting to simply turn him into an empty husk to later insert himself inside.
The only reason why he gave Tomura another chance? He turned down receiving another quirk. The boy was humbled, he was experienced, and he began to see the world in a new light as someone without power trying to own the world.
Oh the things Tomura accomplished, the lessons he received were taken to heart and he became such a useful tool. He didn't even have to be informed of new opportunities because he would find them on his own.
"Tomura." He kindly called out to the young man awaiting his words nearby. It wasn't often they spoke in person, but tonight was special. "I must say, I am immensely impressed with your planning. I haven't needed to lift a finger to adjust your course recently."
"It's thanks to you, sensei." The pale boy cracked a smile through his dry lips. The wall of screens serving as the only source of light in the room. "I only did what I thought you would want me to."
"You give me too much credit. If it wasn't for you intercepting Overhaul before he could be locked up, our plans wouldn't have accelerated so quickly. Still, I am in possession of his quirk. Are you sure you wouldn't like it?"
"Pardon me sensei." Tomura clicked the mouse of the computer, pulling up the files of information they had gathered concerning one particular object. "But having a quirk would be useless against him."
"I wouldn't be so sure." The man pushed the joystick on his wheelchair forward, drawing closer to the boy. "Though your caution is expected."
"He's got the ultimate admin privileges." Tomura opened another image, displaying the many images of Izuku Midoriya with the omnitrix. "The only way to fight someone like that, is to dox him."
"Of course." With a simple thought, one of the quirks in his collection took over the computer, an array of images of many mutant heroes throwing themselves onto the monitors, all with the same green hourglass on their chest. "So long as you bring me the girl Overhaul told you of, I can pry it from whatever form he takes."
All for One, would rise again.
Off in the mountains and near a lake away from civilization, many extremely tired heroes in training were on the edge of passing out. The extended night of exercises had made them sore all over, everyone pushed to a point that they thought would kill them. Everything hurt, their minds numbed with only a single desire to rest taking hold as many didn't even bother to change as they laid on top of their beds.
In separated cabins, the boys and girls couldn't even find the energy to blame anyone or to put fault on a single person. All were united in the same cause, and that cause was to sleep. Not a snore could wake them, not a bump in the night or a whisper in the wind.
It made it easier for those unwanted to slip in unnoticed.
A thick smoke rolled in through the open windows, spreading through the cabins and filling the air in a deep smog. It slowly choked them, flowing into their lungs and infecting them with a noxious fume that no one was awake enough to process.
Unless someone just happened to return at the right moment.
Reiko noticed the strange gas when she hovered down to join the other girls in their bunks, her ghostly blue eye shifting around her head as she tried to determine its source. Being cautious, she turned invisible and floated through the air until spotting the thickest point of the unusual smoke.
There, someone wearing a strange attire and a gas mask was emitting it. Whoever they were, whatever their goal, they clearly did not belong here. Intervening before it could get worse, Reiko entered the body and quickly took control to prevent the gas from being produced any further.
"Ok." Her voice cracked out of the young villain's mouth. "I'll just bring you straight to the heroe-"
In a snap, Reiko and the body were shrunken down to a translucent marble, plucked from the air by a brightly dressed man in an elegant suit. His mask concealed his features, whether it was a smile or a frown.
Two others emerged from around the trees, Dabi and Spinner awaiting the news.
"I believe Mustard has been compromised." Mr. Compress reported to them, observing the curious marble. "Still, I don't believe our cover has been blown."
Dabi held up his hand which was held together by staples, emitting a bright blue flame in his grasp. "Guess we're going straight to step two."
After a short evening of relaying all of the amazing, horrific, and embarrassing details of their adventure into space, Izuku was left with a group of heroes processing the news. All of them sat in a circle in some folding chairs, the door sealed behind them in case any of the students wandered back to overhear their conversation. Kota would have joined, if it wasn't for the fact that his mother practically ordered him to bed once he got home.
"So." The wielder of the omnitrix could feel the exhaustion threaten to take him, but his mind was still wide and alert after the warning Paradox gave him. "Any questions?"
Mrs. Waterhose was first to raise her hand. "Just to make sure, Kota won't have anything else to worry about."
"Yeah." Izuku confirmed with a nod. "He won't accidentally have kids, no more aliens breaking out, and in case anything were to happen again we know where Azmuth is."
"Given the circumstances." Tiger ran a hand over his face, slightly stretching it out as he fought to stay awake. "I guess this was the best case scenario."
"I don't know." Mandalay confessed. "I was sure that he would have just taken the watch back."
"I see what you mean." Ragdoll agreed with a yawn. "It would be nice if Kota could have a less dangerous life."
"He could have done better." Izuku would admit. "But honestly? How many ten year olds do you think could handle something like that?"
Midnight was quick to reach over and run her hand through Izuku's hair. "You sure you're not just downplaying your involvement?"
"In any case." Eraserhead was wrapped around himself like a cocoon, just barely peeking out through his mummy like body. "You were successful. Feel free to sleep in until tomorrow or go home to spend time with your family."
"Speaking of." Pixie-Bob spoke up, sitting awfully close to Power Loader. "Where are those extra kids right now? With you?"
"Actually." Leaning back in his seat to peek out the blinds towards the big white orb in the sky. "I set them up a temporary spot on the dark side of the moon. They seemed like they still wanted their space but they can't go too far without potentially being rediscovered by the federation."
Power Loader seemed a little more awake hearing that part. "Wait, did you just make a moon base?"
Should he have asked permission first? It's not like anyone was living there. "I wouldn't call it a base, more like a small fort?"
"Ha!" Present Mic let out a short bark of laughter. "I'm loving this job! Hey Midoriya, did you make enough rooms where we could-"
*Sniff*
The hero paused as his nose twitched, Present Mic's smile losing its energy as he took in a long whiff of the air. His nose brought him to the window, where urgently he lifted it up and looked out into the night.
The rest of the pros stood up, all of them on sudden alert as they noticed the man was looking out towards the cabins the students were staying in.
Eraserhead undid himself from his self bindings, sliding over with his hair floating around his head dangerously. "What's the matter?"
"I smell smoke."
*CRACKOOM*
Something broke in from the ceiling, turning the roof into a shower of splinters as an immense force blew the room apart. The night air quickly rushed in, followed by waves of heat that circled around them.
*CLANG*
"Aw man!" A masculine voice spoke out from the dust and debris, his shrouded figure standing over many in the room. "Talk about a great punching bag!"
Izuku rubbed the dust out of his eyes, gazing up to see that Power Loader had taken a direct hit from Muscular along his durable arm. The hero grunted under the pressure, but cocked his other arm back and sent out a blow to throw the villain off of him.
It started, whatever he was warned about was happening now.
"Get to the students!" Eraserhead ordered his coworkers, but before he could leap away a torrent of blue flames blocked their path and ignited the shattered wood around them.
"YAH!" Another cry came from nearby, the Wild Wild Pussy Cat's finding their path blocked by Spinner swinging his blade to slice into the floor in front of them.
Tiger accepted the challenge, cracking his bones as he took controlled steps towards the man. "You think you can take us on?"
"Not alone." Spinner admitted with a cocky smile, shimmering lights building up just above him with their sources concealed in the smoke. "So I have some friends."
Beams of kaleidoscope energy began pouring down towards them, Izuku rolling out of the way before a rocky best landed where he just was. Izuku recognized it, many of the creatures that were leaping into combat around him.
"Nomu!" The teen yelled out as he got to his feet. Not just any random nomu though, these all carried a similar trait. Pieces of magenta crystal were embedded into their flesh as if it grew from the inside and forced itself out of their skin. Why or what didn't matter, Izuku just focused on how to stop them. "Present Mic! They're weak to you!"
But the hero was busy avoiding getting burned, Present Mic throwing out sonic howls towards the pyromaniac that was hiding in the forest fire of his own making. Eraserhead and Midnight were with him, trying to find an opening in the widespread attacks.
*PEW PEW*
Barely jumping out of the way of the laser fire that was sparking all around himself, Izuku got up to his feet and scrambled to find his footing in the fight taking place around himself. Villains and nomu, ok, nothing he hasn't handled before and luckily the heroes were holding their own. Now all he needs to do is-
*BOOM*
A humongous hand swiped through the area, Izuku forced to duck down to his belly as it came through and tore up everything it touched. Gazing up, a massive figure was shrouding the stars in its silhouette, the licking flames around them only illuminating parts of its limbs that were close by.
Ok, either that was a big villain or a big nomu. If he entered the fight, the heroes would have a much harder time.
*BWOOSH*
They didn't need his intervention, because someone woke up a little boy from his bedtime.
"You may be big." The booming voice of Kota's alien form announced, easily triple the size of Gigantomachia. "But I'm Waaaayy Big!"
Izuku's body threw itself up, just dodging Power Loader that was thrown into the ground and making a crater around himself. "Midoriya! Get to the students!"
Muscular came in from above with a savage grin, bringing his hands together in a hammer head strike as he thought to finish the hero. Power Loader's arms shook, driving himself into the ground to avoid the direct hit and letting him travel through the dirt and summon an earthquake to try and entrap the villain.
Izuku would have to trust in the heroes as he dove for cover. Once he got it, he didn't hesitate to transform and speed away from the fight. In his alien transformation Fasttrack, he sprinted through the wall of fire and rushed off to where the student cabins were while making an important call.
"Fasttrack to Providence! We are under attack I repeat! We are under attack! Multiple villains and alien enhanced nomu on site!"
"This is Agent Bubbles, alerting the heroes now and sending back up to your location. Ingenium is en route now. Can you ID any of the villains?"
Izuku raced through the woods, the dirt kicking up under his feet as he weaved through the natural obstacles. "Muscular, alongside a fire emitter and a lizard mutation. Multiple nomu at least two possibly more. A really big one, unknown if nomu or villain."
"Copy. We'll send as much help as we can."
Leaping over a creek, he kept pushing his legs harder as he made another emergency call straight to who he knew would be able to provide the best defense for the hero students.
"Eijiro, wake up! There are villains attacking I need you to put up a dome over both yours and the girls' cabins!"
He couldn't wait for a reply, the omnitrix beeping as it received another transmission. Izuku answered it, already able to see the opening coming into view.
"Izuku? Are you awake?" His mother's voice came out, taking Izuku by surprise.
"Mom?! What's wrong, did something happen?!"
"I don't know, but I'm worried. Your kids are in a panic and I tried going over to see if Eri knew how to help but she was gone and so is Himiko. I tried using the thing to track them but it shows they're home."
Gone? Did Eri go with Himiko to some other point in time? No, while Himiko was pretty forgetful about keeping her emergency badge on her Eri never let hers go anymore than an arm's reach away from her person. They also wouldn't be out this late, and his kids wouldn't be up unless something spooked them.
Something felt wrong.
Ok think, what reason would they have for attacking them here?
The first attack was to kill All Might.
The second one seemed more like an opportunity to show off and recruit given how they used Stain as advertisement.
There was that time he bumped into their leader but that wasn't planned on either side.
This time, what is the point of attacking here? They couldn't have known about Kota, and there were better ways to get to himself than when he was around so many other heroes. It was a massive move, and they were throwing some heavy hitters. No leader here though, he had a tendency to stick himself in the spotlight.
Izuku finally arrived to the cabin, just in time to see a mountain of red diamond erect itself around the boy's bunk area. His omnitrix let out another ring that Izuku didn't hesitate to answer.
"FOR ALL THAT IS MANLY YOU WEREN'T KIDDING!" Eijiro's voice boomed on the other side.
Rushing around in a quick circle, Izuku created a short tornado to vent the rest of the toxic gas out of the area. As he came closer to Eijiro's protective pyramid he saw two other crystal nomu were chipping away at it alongside someone with long blades for teeth trying to break in with a guy who looked like a lizard. It would take them a while, he needed to check on the other cabin where the girls' were-
Blue fire erupted across the structure, but that was the same fire he saw from the other villain. What was going on? Twins? Both lizard and blue flame guy?
Something was terribly wrong.
No, he could see a figure moving out of the shadows, also bearing remarkably similar resemblance to the other villain trying to attack the boys' cabin. There were copies being made.
Another ring, Izuku answered as he was already running across the lake to reach the new conflict. "Is this thing working?!"
"Kyoka! Villains are attacking!"
"I can see that!"
The sliver of a second Izuku heard her sucking in deeply, he muted the omnitrix as a powerful sonic blast blew away many of the flames and made the villains grab onto their ears. While they were hurt, a second speedster ran in and delivered quick blows to their persons, hearing the occasional pop under his knuckles.
Ingenium had arrived!
They both darted in through the shattered opening, he could see that some of the girls were struggling to keep their balance. They must have breathed in too much of the gas, but Kyoka seemed ok.
Mentally redialing Eijiro, Izuku began grabbing a couple of the girls alongside the hero.
Something was WRONG!
"I know where we can keep them safe." Was all Izuku informed the man before rushed back to the best defenses they had at the moment. "Eijiro, I'm bringing the others to you. What's your status?"
"I'm doing ok, but the other guys aren't doing so hot. It's only me and Denki who seem to have our heads straight."
So that means that whatever gas the villains were using earlier didn't affect those with silicon based DNA.
Just as Izuku arrived with Ingenium to the diamond castle, an opening jutted out of the side where Eijiro and Denki were waving them over. They both dashed in, storing the girls alongside the boys leaving only Eijiro, Denki, and Kyoka awake to witness it all.
"I'll try to take the heat off of everyone." Ingenium informed them before relaying one other piece of information. "My team will be here any minute. I heard even Endeavor caught wind of things and is moving in now."
That should have been good, that should have reassured Izuku, but the corner at the back of his mind kept screaming at him that this was wrong.
"Dude." His best friend came to his side, Eijiro ready to reseal the entrance. "What's going on man? You seem really off."
Everything was off, out of place, throwing his focus towards other places from all of the-
-distractions.
The blaring warning of Professor Paradox rang in his head again, Izuku realizing that this was not where he was supposed to be. "I have to go, look after the others and contact Providence if things get worse!"
He couldn't wait to hear his reply because Izuku was already rushing away, from the cabins, from the lake, from the woods in their entirety as his feet were carrying him to an unknown destination. Wherever it was, he should have been there already.
"This is Fasttrack to Providence!" His panicked voice yelled out through the wind whipping by his body.
"Go ahead." Naomasa's voice came on instead. He must have rushed straight downstairs to the headquarters.
"Have you found Eri or Himiko yet?"
"No." The man regrettably informed Izuku. "But right now we're dealing with an immediate threat right now. I would love to just drop everything and go find them but All for One-"
"I don't think this attack is their main goal!" Fasttrack interrupted him as he zoomed into the city limits, just going where intuition seemed to take him. "All of this doesn't seem right. I didn't see Shigaraki there, I didn't see Kurogiri there, and Paradox warned me something was about to happen!"
"What did he say?" Nezu's voice came on the line.
"That we need to focus on the bigger picture, that we can't get distracted! No matter how much it hurts!" Izuku said as he spotted the lighthouse on the cliffside with a house connected to it.
"That sounds exactly like you shouldn't get hung up about your siblings." Agent Bubbles tried to coax Izuku into getting back into the action. "It hurts putting family aside, but we have a large scale villain attack-"
"-that's being handled!" Fasttrack burst into his home, relieved to see all five of his children alive even if they all seemed scared. Inko snapped up from the couch, her sudden fear simmering when she saw her son.
"Izuku, what's going on?"
He couldn't waste any time, he needed to know if he was doing the right thing or not. Switching from his speedster to Clockwork, he began rotating the brass key atop of his head as a projection of the past overlaid the present. Rewinding faster to the point where everything came in blurs, he slowed to a sudden halt when he saw Eri and Himiko in the kitchen together.
Everything seemed normal, nothing to worry about.
Until Himiko looked at Eri, growing stiff as a force overcame the girl's mind. She lunged towards Eri, wrapping her in a chamber of purple sludge and slamming her head against the counter harshly.
Inko gasped seeing the violence, both herself and Izuku feeling sick seeing Himiko act so savagely in restraining Eri like she was possessed.
Even when Eri was unconscious, Himiko didn't change back, she stayed in an animalistic state growing four large limbs to crawl with and a sludge like head to hold her predatory eyes. Whatever had become of Himiko lurched, spitting out the safety badge the younger girl always carried on her. Himiko's muddy hand gripped the handle of the door and yanked it open, leaving with Eri still trapped somewhere in the purple body,
This could still be two isolated incidents, the attack at the training camp and Himiko's change in behavior.
But this wasn't the first time Eri was made a target, and if All for One's goal really was Eri then-
"Midoriya come in!" Power Loader's voice shouted through the omnitrix. "We could really use some back up right now. The kid is keeping the big guy off us but these other villains just keep popping up like they have a backup clone or something!"
"He's right." Agent Bubbles agreed. "This is a priority one. All Providence assets are to-"
"No, there's something much worse happening." Clockwork reverted to Izuku, the boy stepping outside to see the storm brewing on the horizon. "All for One has Eri."

HeartGemHolder: Yeah, I like Reiko too much to turn her into a villain.
AnimeFan13579: Yeah, no way was Princess Provity going to let Kota be her suitor. Odds are she could try to later come back and take the omnitrix off him.
Muted Mumblings: Nope, moving straight into the next arc.
Fire turtle: That's a good question. I don't think we've seen an example where that has happened before in the show but it would be cool if she could do something like that.
Omni-Trickery: I think he'd only use the other omnitrix as a point in the right direction on how to correct the issues of his own. Still I can see him having no issues with straight up copying some of the features to save time.
