Lily entered the house ahead of her brother and sister in law and paused as she heard Evy discuss another trip.

"I'm out just got home wet, tired, and going to bed," entering her room Lily threw her suitcase on the floor by her closet and sat on the edge of her four poster bed pulling off her two inch heels and rubbing her sore aching feet.

Standing up a few minutes later Lily placed her boots by her dresser and grabbed her suitcase beginning to repack it just in case Rick caved in, like always, for another adventure.

When she was done Lily stripped out of her travelling clothes and removed her Egyptian black gown from the closet to wear around the house.

Leaving her bedroom she rolled her eyes as she saw Evy and Rick kiss and made her way downstairs with her slippers in hand.

"Happy to be home?," Evy asked Lily and Alex.

"Couldn't be happier," they replied at the same time laughing at the fact they said the same thing.

"Here," Evy said showing Alex the book in her hand.

"Cool,"

"The year of the scorpion I thought you might like that," Evy replied as Alex took the book and began to read.

Entering the kitchen Lily yawned as she went to grab a apple from the bowl on the kitchen counter, pausing as she hear footsteps in the other room.

"Good evening,"

"Who are you? What are you doing here?,"

"I'm looking for the chest of course,"

"Get out of my house," Evy said as Lily quickly rejoined her family in the living room with her sword in hand.

"Woah mom maybe not the best idea,"

"Alex get back there with your aunt Lily," Evy said as two men joined then first.

"Woah definitely not the best idea, I think its' time to call for dad now,"

"Now I will kill you and take it anyways," the man said as Lily shoved her nephew behind her and held her sword up in front of her.

"I think not," came a voice to their right.

"Ardeth," Lily said in shock but noticing the small smile he graced her with before turning back to the situation at hand.

"Ardeth Bay,"

"Lock nah," Ardeth replied.

Suddenly fighting broke out, two gentlemen fought Evy, and another took on Aredth. Lock-nah as the man was called stood back Lily noticed as she backed Alex up against a wall and stayed in front of him in case anyone tried to come at them.

"Woah mom where did you learn to do that," Alex said seeing his mother pull a intense move,"

"I have no idea," Evy said before hitting the man in front of her. "That I learned from your father,"

"What's in the chest?," Ardeth asked as he fended off the men attacking him.

"The bracelet of Anubis,"

"They must not get the chest," Ardeth yelled out.

"Ahh," Lily called out in pain as one the men snuck up on her and sliced her arm making her drop her sword, and then stabbing her in the leg.

"Lily!," Ardeth called out turning his head sharply at the sound of her pain.

"Mom!," Alex called out as Evy was knocked unconscious and the chest grabbed from the hands of Alex.

"Evelyn!," Ardeth called out to her as well as he fell to the floor from a shoulder wound at the hands on Lock-nah.

Quickly moving his head Ardeth was lucky to avoid being killed as Lock-nah threw one of his weapons at Ardeth's head.

Looking over Ardeth was in shock seeing Alex putting pressure on a wound on Lily's leg.

Rushing over Ardeth brushed the red hair out of Lily's face and pulled her head onto his lap.

"You're...hurt," Lily managed to say through pained gasps.

"Nothing major I worry more for you,"

"Nothing can...kill...an O'Donnell," Lily cracked a joke laughing as tears filled her eyes from the pain.

"Let's get her out of here," Ardeth said to Alex as he quickly made it so that the bandage was wrapped tightly and securely around the wound on Lily's leg.

Picking her up bridal style Ardeth held Lily close placing kisses on her temple as they left the house.

As they got outside they noticed Rick and Jonathon by the statue in the front lawn.

"Dad," Alex said running into his arms as Ardeth came walking over carefully, nodding to Jonathon before turning to face Rick.

"Lily!," Rick said scared to see his sister in the condition she was.

"No worries Ricky, Ardeth is taking care of me," Lily said moving her left hand placing it on Rick's cheek.

"Protect her,"

"With my life,"

"Now why are you here? scratch that who were those guys? and where are they taking my wife?,"

"My friend wherever this man is your wife is sure to be," Ardeth said carefully pulling a picture out of the pouch on his hip handing it to Rick fron under Lily's knees.

"Hey I know him," Alex said grabbing the picture from Ardeth's hand, "he's the curator at the British museum,"

"Are you sure?,"

"You better believe it he and Lily spend more time there then they do at home," Rick said turning and heading towards his car.

"Ok you're here, the bad guys are here, Evy's been kidnapped, let me guess,"

"Yes they once again want to remove the creature from his grave," Ardeth said as he pulled Lily closer in his arms knowing deep down he truly loved this woman but feared telling her for rejection.

"I don't mean to point fingers but isn't that your job to ensure that doesn't happen?," Jonathon pointed out.

"The woman that is with him she knows things, things no living person could possibly know, she knew exactly where the creature was buried. We were hoping she would lead us to the bracelet she obviously did, now they have it,"

"I wouldn't get too nervous just yet," Alex said lifting his left arm and pulling up his sleeve.

"Is that gold?," Jonathon asked his eyes going wide.

"When I stuck it on I saw the pyramid of Giza, and then whoosh straight across the desert to Kharnah,"

"By putting that on you have started a chain reaction that could bring upon the next apocalypse," as Ardeth said that Alex let out a gasp of shock as Rick rolled his eyes.

Pointing at those he had a comment for he began with Ardeth.

"You lighten up, you big trouble, you get in the car," as they all got in with Rick and Jonathon in the front seats, and Ardeth, Lily, and Alex in the back they sped off towards the British Museum hoping they were not too late.
