-50 years prior-
After defeating the dark lord, Voldemort, when she was 17, Helena collected the elder wand and together with the cloak of invisibility and the resurrection stone, she apparated to an island in Hawaii that she had visited briefly 3 years ago during summer break.
That had been one of the only times that she had traveled outside of Britain as usually when her Aunt Petunia and her family would travel, they would leave her in their home to clean until they came back. However, 3 years ago, after finally leaving the Dursleys, she was able to spend some of her inheritance from the Potter family vault in Gringotts and convert some of it to Muggle American dollars in order to take a trip to Hawaii.
While there Helena visited many different attractions but the one that left the most lasting impression were the volcanoes. Volcanoes, surprisingly enough contain a vast amount of natural magic due to the amount of energy they draw from the earth it's self, therefore being one of the very few magical places that still exist naturally outside of the magical world. Upon encountering this vast magical essence, Helena had found herself seeking out this place more than anywhere else on the beautiful island. Which leads her to why she choose a Hawaiian volcano as the best place to hide the most powerful objects in the Wizarding World.
So after setting up a decent enough cloaking charm around the volcano's base, Helena erected an alter at the base of the active Hawaiian volcano, Kilauea, in which she inlayed runes designed to keep anyone seeking to use these items for their own nefarious ambitions from ever finding the location.
The runes themselves drew on the ancient and stalwart energy of the volcano in order to sustain itself for as long as the volcano would stand. After ensuring that only she and one other, not Ron and Hermione, as much as she loved and trusted them, would ever find them she went on with the rest of her life never once looking back. This decision will later become one of the many factors that lead her to her current circumstances.
But eventually,Helena graduated from Hogwarts, once they were done rebuilding most of the parts that had been destroyed during the war, and immediately after graduating, she applied to work for the British Ministry of Magic later becoming one of the youngest aurors to every reach the title of Head Auror.
A few years later Hermione became Minister of Magic and due to the things they had experienced in their lives, they both decided and began setting aside time to formulate further plans to help free or expand rights for other magical races such as the house elves and werewolves, which thankfully, after a lot of debate and public backlash, finally came to fruition after a General Council was called by Helena in which representatives throughout the magical world from all species where invited and encouraged to come together in Paris, France in order to discuss, argue, and eventually agree that certain laws should be passed to ensure that freedom and equality be given indiscriminately throughout the magical world for all magicals.
After playing a such a major role in securing peace in the Wizarding World throughout her life, Helena Potter had become a world-renowned celebrity even more prolific than when she had been the "Girl-Who-Lived" and there wasn't a single person who didn't know her name.
She and the rest of the Heroes of Hogwarts had history books and newspaper articles dedicated to their numerous deeds throughout the war with Voldemort and individual history textbooks and pamphlets that detailed what each person achieved afterwards. However no one had as many books detailing their lives as their infamous savior and promised chosen one, Helena Potter.
In the courtyard of Hogwarts, after rebuilding the castle, the Headmistress McGonagall had a memorial statue built in order to dedicate and give recognition to all of the heroes who fought in the Battle of Hogwarts written in at the bottom. That statue would stand for many centuries to come and throughout the years students would learn about what the statue represents while also serving as a reminder of the past and the symbol that there is always hope for a better future through hard work, courage, and sacrifice.
However, it wasn't just Helena's political and social life that had changed but also her personal life as well.
