We'll do it all. Everything. On our own.
Laurens trudged through the grass and hopped up onto a rock, his boots pounding loudly.
"Someday I'll be in the war, and we'll win! All because of me!" He shouted. His smile growing bigger with each word. His dimples showed.
The boy sitting on the grass below smiled and said, "Yes, but we'll win because of MY work!"
Laurens chuckled, his eyes crinkling. "Ha! Alexander! Your writing won't win the war by itself."
The boy, Alexander, got up and got up onto the rock.
"You're right," He wrapped his arm around Laurens and shook his shoulders. "We'll do it together. With my writing and your battle skills, we'll win the war together. Just us!" He swung his arm around in an arch for dramatic effect.
Laurens patted Alexander on the back and looked wistfully into the distance.
"Just us."
