So, I was really surprised because I got 2 favourites and 2 follows on my story within 15 mins of posting. I am really glad.
So onto the story.
CHAPTER 2
"Mr. Weasley, please don't stay overnight."
It had been 10 mins of pleading when Harry said this.
"Fine, but only if the match ends within the day."
"Thank you!" All three of them said and then they went up to the room and began discussing their next moves.
"This is Step 2." Hermione took out another paper from a Binder and presented it to Harry, he took it and began reading.
Step 2
Get three small crystal vials that received the pure rays of the moon.
Put your saliva filled leaf inside and then add one of your hair to it.
"I have already got the three vials all we-"
"You're brilliant Hermione!"
"Thanks, but all we need to do now is hold a leaf in our mouths for a month. Which is difficult but at least we won't be in Hogwarts when we do this."
"Yeah, imagine trying to explain to everyone why we talk like that, and I think Snape would catch on." Ron said.
"Alright, lets just go to bed now."
The next day went as planned, they went to the portkey and got to the quidditch world cup, they bought binoculars and some merch. Then on the way to the stands. He sees the betting place. He hears some old man say,
"Viktor Krum catches the Snitch but Ireland wins."
He then says to Ron and Hermione. "I'll be back in a second."
He then walks over to the betting stand and puts 100 galleons on the counter. "I would like to bet on the same thing that old man bet on."
Hermione and Ron then come over and say, "Are you sure Harry? It's a long shot that something like that actually happens." Ron says.
"Yeah, I'm sure."
After a few signatures he gets a paper which he keeps safe in his pocket with his wand. He also keeps his hand on the pocket at all times, so it doesn't get stolen.
"Why would you bet that kind of money on something that isn't probable."
He then whispers to his friends, "Because I think that that old man was using a time turner."
"Oh, but that's illegal Harry!"
"Oh yeah? So is turning into Animagus without the ministry."
Hermione said nothing and just glowered at Harry.
They then left and got seated, having to deal with Malfoy for a bit and then, Harry who was still clutching his pocket, in which was his wand and his slip of paper.
They then left after the game was over, Harry was very happy when claiming his money, but never understood what he had just prevented.
To those who did not understand, Barty Crouch Jr. stole the wand from Harry because it was defenceless and was just hanging out of his pocket. So when he was clutching his pocket the whole time keeping his wand hidden, he had just prevented the deaths of muggles and the whole Winky fiasco.
