Last two chapters showed Shirou from two different perspectives, one from the eyes of someone whom sees him for someone who is trying to blend in trying to do his best at being a human. And for other a human who stands out.
In the opulent office, a sense of timeless elegance enveloped the room. Bathed in the soft glow of a grand chandelier, the space exuded sophistication with its rich mahogany wood and a warm fireplace crackling gently in the background. The ambiance was further elevated by the soulful melody of "I Have But One Heart," lending an air of nostalgia and charm to the setting.
Seated comfortably on a plush luxury carpet, a young girl immersed herself in her art, sketching delicate lines onto the paper with a dreamy expression. Her creativity seemed to flow effortlessly as she brought her imagination to life through the strokes of her pencil.
Meanwhile, an Italian-American man settled in his old chair, savoring the moment as he soaked in the melodious tune.
Carmine Falcone had always had a soft spot for children, especially when they belonged to people he considered friends. One evening, he found himself in the company of the delightful daughter of Kiritsugu Emiya. He had no idea that Kiritsugu had fathered a child, but fate had brought them together, and now he was looking after the two kids left behind by his old friend.
The little girl was a picture of innocence and curiosity, always eager to learn about the world around her. She loved nothing more than studying and exploring new things, and Falcone found her inquisitiveness endearing. She reminded him of the simple joys of life, untainted by the complexities of the world he inhabited.
Then there was the teenage boy, a stark contrast to his father, Kiritsugu. Though he inherited certain traits from his father, he was also his own person, carving out his path independent of the past. Falcone couldn't help but be intrigued by the young man's unique identity, shaped by both nature and nurture. The boy had a complexity that fascinated Falcone, a blend of similarities and differences from his late father.
Taking care of Kiritsugu's children stirred memories of the past, of times when Falcone and Kiritsugu were partners in crime. Of when this city had an order and freaks didn't roam around freely. Largely because of his friend's involvement in making sure that the city keeps its order.
Carmine Falcone's friend had always been a force to be reckoned with, a powerful figure who kept potential troublemakers in check, ensuring the city of Gotham ran smoothly and efficiently. He had a unique way of handling those who didn't comprehend the intricacies of running a city, ensuring they didn't interfere with the delicate balance.
But things began to unravel when Thomas Wayne, a respected figure who represented hope for the people of Gotham, tragically met his end. His death shook the city to its core, leaving behind a void that was hard to fill. Without Thomas Wayne's guiding presence, Gotham's stability started to falter, and a sense of uncertainty settled over the once-thriving metropolis.
And then there was the enigmatic disappearance of Kiritsugu, Falcone's old friend and a man of mystery. Ten years had passed since he vanished, leaving behind unanswered questions and a sense of loss. Kiritsugu had been a crucial pillar in the delicate web of power that Falcone had maintained, and his absence left a noticeable gap that seemed impossible to fill.
As Falcone looked back on the past, he couldn't help but feel a heavy weight on his shoulders. The city he had once known, the city he and his friend had shaped and protected, now seemed like a shadow of its former self. The loss of Thomas Wayne and the vanishing of Kiritsugu marked the beginning of a downward spiral, and Falcone couldn't shake the feeling that darker days were ahead for Gotham. With freaks running around dressed in costumes the future of city appeared bleak.
'Those were some good old days' he thought relaxing.
As the Italian-American man looked down at the young artist, his mind couldn't help but drift back to the recent phone call that had turned his world upside down. A boy named Shirou Emiya had reached out to him, claiming to be the son of Kiritsugu Emiya, his late friend. At first, he couldn't quite believe it, but as he delved deeper into the boy's story, he couldn't deny the truth.
Kiritsugu had disappeared years ago, leaving behind a void that had never truly been filled. But now, he had apparently been living in the secluded town of Fuyuki, raising two kids he had rescued during one of his missions in Germany. The boy's gun, a poignant memento of his father's past, served as tangible proof of the boy's lineage.
Intrigued and hopeful, he had arranged a personal meeting with Shirou. When they finally met, he couldn't help but be struck by the boy's demeanor. There was a quiet strength in the way Shirou carried himself, a sense of determination and resilience that mirrored Kiritsugu's own character. And then, there were his sharp eyes, which seemed to hold a depth of understanding beyond his years, a reflection of the wisdom inherited from his enigmatic father.
As he thought about their meeting, he couldn't help but see the echoes of Kiritsugu in the boy's mannerisms. It was a bittersweet reminder of the friend he had lost, but also a glimmer of hope that a part of Kiritsugu lived on in this determined young man.
As the truth about Shirou's past came to light, the Italian-American man understood the gravity of the situation. The boy and his sister had been on the run, seeking refuge from the shadowy figures that haunted them. Without a second thought, he had taken them under his wing, becoming their guardian and providing them a safe haven.
Kiritsugu had been resourceful, accumulating a substantial wealth through his missions, and this inheritance which now served as a lifeline for his children. It was a way to ensure their safety and offer them a chance at a peaceful life, free from the shadows that had plagued their father.
In this grand office, surrounded by opulence and luxury, the Italian-American man watched the daughter of his friend with a sense of duty and love. He had become their guardian, not just in name but in heart as well. He knew that by providing them a safe and secure environment, he was allowing them the chance to be free from the dangers of their past and to shape their own destiny.
As he spent time with them, he cherished the opportunity to be a part of their lives, to watch them grow and flourish under his care. It was a role that brought him joy and purpose, a chance to give back and make a difference in their lives.
In a world where his own children had grown into adults, he found solace and happiness in the presence of Shirou and his sister, his godchildren. They filled his life with new adventures and fresh perspectives, reminding him of the innocence and wonder of youth.
With "I Have But One Heart" still playing softly in the background, the Italian-American man embraced the role of a guardian with open arms. He was determined to protect and nurture Shirou and his sister, ensuring they had a chance at a bright and hopeful future. And in return, he found a sense of fulfillment and love that was as profound as the bond he had shared with his own children.
So this is my take on Carmine Falcone, he was supposed to be based on Vito Carleon, so he still has a criminal empire but he is a man of morals and character, He is bad but not evil. Not father of Selina Kyle and thus will be playing a role of Raiga Fujimaru here. A little bit history of how Shirou could easily set up a good life here. This world also had a Kiritsugu Emiya who made sure that freaks like super villain didn't exist in city. Without him the city spiralled down. Though he simply died in Germany, since he wasn't a magus, though still Shirou knew where his father would keep his stock and thus was able to approach Carmine after all he is still his father's son. Also I fixed the chapter 2. Though Shirou won't be joining mafia. No gangster Shirou.
