This is a placeholder for the continuation of my Rosario Vampire story told through Kurumu's POV. My Encore is estimated to be an 18 chapter story that covers the first weeks after the school repairs are finished (February 10th - February 27th, 2006).
I know that it's odd to only publish two chapters but I had a break which lasted more than a month between chapters two and three. I had those first two drafted before the start of May but didn't start the third until after Memorial Day and it took me about two weeks just to do it's draft. I'm hopeful that I can stick to the schedule now that I actually have it posted.
Continuing the story without any manga to adapt puts my audience in a position of not having a clear vision of where this story is going. That is much different than before when everyone (myself included) was looking forward to the final fights. We have no blatant villains.
Obviously the next project would be Yukari's birthday, Kurumu's choral concert, final term exams, White Day, graduation, Nekonome's (Takizawa's) retirement with the new classroom/dormitory assignments at the very end. There are blatant upcoming events. And there won't be any shortage of daily drama going on. But all of the intrigue I am introducing in My Encore will not be immediately resolved. There are more pressing matters than investigating things that happened decades ago.
I am hopeful that I can keep motivated to not only finish this project but also the next one this calendar year. That would conclude the first year at Yokai Academy. I wouldn't mind continuing to write this series since I've gone through the trouble of already making an entire new grade level of students for My Kouhai which would start with the spring break trip to Aranami. I would like to go at least this far, hoping that there is some level of interest in this story but understanding that might not be.
