"What do you mean by that?" asked Fontaine as she took a few steps away from him in order to stand with her family.
"We attacked a ship last week, taking some cargo in the process," said Finn.
"Did someone get hurt during the attack?" asked William.
"No, but the cargo was medicine heading to a village in Africa, and my dad dumped it into the sea because it wasn't money," said Finn who was unable to look at them and instead looked down at the floor.
"Wait, you mean the medicine that was heading to the village that was completely wiped out by Ebola was stolen by your family?!" asked a shocked Ant.
"Yeah, and all of those deaths are on us," said Finn.
"I'm alright with stealing treasures and money, but being the cause of someone's death is a different story especially when it's on such a level," she said.
"So, I'm leaving the pirate life for good," said Finn.
"Then what are you going to do?" asked Kaiko.
"Figured you would hand me over to the World Ocean Authority and I'd spend some time in a prison cell for my part in the theft," said Finn while holding his hands out toward them, expecting cuffs to be put on his wrists.
"We'll call them so you can tell them what happened, but you'll be in our custody while we investigate this," said William as he held the tube up.
"You mean we're going to trust him?" asked Ant.
"We have no choice, but stay away from my daughter's room while you are on this ship or you'll find yourself being sent out the airlock," said Kaiko as she shot him a warning glare.
"I promise, ma'am," said Finn as he held his hands up with a slight blush to his cheeks which he shared with Fontaine. Later, William was going over the map in his study which he was finding frustrating.
"Any clue where it points to?" asked Kaiko as she walked in with some coffee.
"No idea, it does not line up to any maps that I know of," said William while leaning back in his chair.
"If anyone can figure it out then it's you," said Kaiko before kissing his forehead.
"You say that about everything I do," said William with a smile. He then noticed the Ephemychron across the room.
"And you're never wrong," said William as an idea came to mind.
