The next few days passed quickly. The day after the battle trials, there were reporters at the gate, having heard All Might was a teacher at UA this year, Izuku had to push his way in but made it to class on time, without needing to activate his quirk once.

Aizawa-sensei came into class and told them it was time to pick a class representative. The class erupted with excitement; everyone wanted to be the class rep.

Iida took charge and organized a vote. Izuku voted for Yaoyorozu because she seemed to be super-professional, without being too uptight. A good combo for class rep. Iida could be good, but would probably end up a bit authoritarian. Maybe in second year.

Iida counted the votes and tallied them on the whiteboard at the front of the room. When Izuku got his first vote, his eyes widened. He voted for someone else even!

Getting a second vote was even more ridiculous. He'd never even been nominated for a class officer's position. Probably because he was quirkless back in middle school, but he was still the same person, just quirky now. It boggled his mind sometimes that people seemed to like him these days. And they liked him enough to vote him class representative.

When the third tally mark was placed next to his name, he couldn't keep quiet anymore. "Who in their right mind would vote for me for class rep? I didn't even vote for me."

Kacchan turned around and said, "For once in our shitty lives, I agree with you. What kind of idiot would vote for Deku?"

"We agree all the time! That's why we should be friends, Kacchan."

Kacchan sneered and turned away from Izuku.

Votes four and five were anticlimactic. Since the next highest vote-getter was Yaoyorozu with three votes and only three votes left to count, Izuku resigned himself to his fate. He could do this, he supposed. It wasn't middle school, and most of the class seemed to like him.

He ended up with six votes. Six. Who were these people?

He stood in front of the class and looked over at Yaoyorozu next to him. He smiled and turned back to the class. "Well, thank you for the faith you have put in me. I will do my best to represent you well. Please come to me if you have questions or issues, and I will do my best to help you. Though I warn you, I have no idea what I'm doing." He bowed respectfully to the class and stepped back so Yaoyorozu could accept her position.

Homeroom finished quickly after that. Classes were starting to get into gear with less start of the year stuff and more actual learning. Izuku enjoyed it, but he still felt it was a little slower than he could handle.

When class was dismissed for lunch, he approached Yaoyorozu and suggested they eat together to get to know each other better and discuss class representative stuff. She agreed happily, and they walked to the cafeteria talking. They purchased lunch and sat near the windows.

During their discussions, Izuku felt more at ease. Yaoyorozu had student government experience, and she even exceeded the ideas of competence he had for her.

After working some plans and ideas out, they were enjoying getting to know each other better. Izuku found her to be smart, and he appreciated that. Their lunch was interrupted by an alarm going off.

It was loud, and they didn't know what the alarm meant since they had missed orientation. Aizawa-sensei said he'd pass out the school handbooks eventually. Izuku thought it was another power move by their teacher to make up reasons to expel students, after what happened at the quirk assessment test.

The students around them were talking about how it had never happened before and that it meant intruders. Also, some were sure that they were all going to die. Everyone was panicking and stampeding towards the exit to get away from whatever they needed to evacuate from. He and Yaoyorozu exchanged a look, and then Izuku saw it. Out the window, there was a mass of people not there a few minutes prior. The press from that morning had broken onto campus.

"Yaoyorozu-san. Could you please make a megaphone?"

She nodded, bent down, and reached towards her calf, and it started to glow. A megaphone appeared in her hand, and Izuku could only marvel at how cool her quirk was. She and handed the megaphone to him.

He turned it on and engaged his quirk. He jumped up, so he held on to a ceiling tile with one hand and the megaphone in the other. He said, "Everyone calm down and exit the building in an orderly fashion. It looks like the press from this morning have broken on to campus. Take a deep breath, and remember you're UA Students. Honestly."

Izuku turned off the megaphone, dropped down, and Yaoyorozu smiled at him encouragingly. People had seemed to calm down and were not at risk of trampling anyone at least. Izuku and Yaoyorozu were the last students to exit the cafeteria, and everything had mostly calmed down. They found their class and took roll. Everyone was accounted for, and Izuku felt a little more confident about the whole class representative thing. He could do this. Probably.

The rest of the day was anticlimactic. Before long, it was over, and he was headed home and the day's events out of his mind. But not for long…

The next day it was announced they had a field trip. Izuku was excited, especially when he heard it was rescue training. He could use his quirk for a lot of great stuff in battle, but he remembered when he was young and watching that All Might rescue video over and over again. It was so inspirational for him, and he wanted to learn to do that kind of thing too. So he was excited.

They got out to the bus, and Iida was trying to convince Izuku to have everyone line up by seat number, but that seemed like overkill, and Izuku didn't care that much. So Izuku just asked the class to line up with whoever they wanted to and did so without complaint and were excitedly chattering while they waited.

It was good that Izuku didn't plan the bus seating too much, as it had an open seating arrangement instead of the usual rows of seats. Iida complimented him in his foresight not to force everyone to line up by their number because it would have been 'devastatingly disappointing' to discover the bus' layout. Izuku smiled at Iida and thanked him, glad that the other boy was not their class representative.

Everyone got seated, and conversations drifted over him. He was happy just not to be the center of attention. Well, he was until Tsu asked him a question, "Hey Midoriya-chan, I tend to say what's on my mind, so I apologize if I come across as blunt. But your quirk seems similar to All Might. You're both super strong and fast, and you even changed the weather the other day with the ball throw. Is there some sort of connection between you?"

Izuku was not ready for this. He was really not prepared for this. Izuku took a deep breath and tried to compose himself. What did he say? Okay, he could deal with this. He took another deep breath and said, "I can see what you mean, but muscle augmentation quirks are pretty common, aren't they?"

Tsu didn't seem convinced, but she was interrupted by Kirishima, who said, "Your quirk is so strong and flashy. I wish mine were more than turning into a rock." Saved by the other boy, nice.

Izuku was surprised that someone with such a versatile quirk was self-conscious, but he supposed there were some intimidating quirks in the class, Todoroki, Bakugo, Tokoyami. And, well, him. "Kirishima, your hardening is a pro's quirk. You need to develop it more, of course, we all do. But you'll be practically invincible in the field when you master it. I think you could even be a top hero with it."

Kirishima looked like he was tearing up, "That's so nice! Thanks, man. You're gonna be a great hero too!"

"Yeah, you act like a great hero already, dude!" Kaminari said. Izuku smiled, though his smile became a little stilted when Kaminari continued. "Unlike Bakugo. He's always so angry, isn't he? "

"You grew up with him, Midoriya, has he always been like this?" Tsu asked.

"Um," Izuku said, feeling he nailed that. He was saved from answering when Kacchan exploded, figuratively, at Kaminari and Tsu for questioning him. Izuku realized that as the class representative, he needed to try to descale this situation. Great. "Hey guys, let's tone it down and stop picking on each other, okay?"

Tsu looked a little recalcitrant, Kaminari just shrugged, and Kacchan looked like he had no idea who Izuku was. Well, they weren't fighting anymore, at least.

"So, back to your quirk, kero."

Yeah, he should have let them fight. "Um, sure, Tsu, what about it?"

"I've honestly never seen a quirk as powerful as yours. It makes most of the class look weak. How did you do it?"

Yeah, even Bakugo was within him now, wondering what he'd say. He had a cover story and was going to stick to it. "Well, I was a late bloomer. The doctors said that if I had been able to use it sooner, it would have blown off my limbs and probably killed me. So I had to work with a special trainer who experienced something similar themselves. Several studies have shown that late bloomers can have stronger quirks, something about the quirk's maturation, but the science there is still very new. Plus, there's still a lot I don't know about my quirk! I've been enjoying discovering it." There was some research on late-blooming quirks, and it was as he said, they tended to be strong. Not that Izuku had ever seriously looked into info on late-blooming quirks and how rare they were. Why would he ever have done such a thing? "So I had my quirk for much less time than all of you, probably, but it is a powerful one though I'm sure it's not the strongest—"

"When did it come in?" Tsu interrupted his rambling.

"Oh, the third year of middle school."

There was a collective gasp from those listening and pretending not to listen alike. "You've only had your quirk a year?"

"Less than, actually," Izuku said, slightly red in the face. A few wide-eyed looks were passed around. Kacchan looked angrier than normal and didn't seem to believe him.

Thankfully the conversation was ended by Aizawa-sensei telling them to get off the bus and that they had arrived at the USJ. It was a large domed building and looked ultra-modern. Izuku was pleased to see the Space Hero: Thirteen there. She was a good hero, and one of Uraraka's favorites. She gave a lovely speech on the dangers of quirks and how they could save but also harm. She didn't have to tell him twice. His power was off the rails.

Aizawa-sensei asked where All Might was, and Thirteen lifted three fingers, which meant he was probably out of time for the day. That was a shame. He always liked training with All Might.

They walked into the USJ and looked out over it. It was massive; it seemed to be bigger on the inside somehow. There were different areas all over it, and it looked so much like a theme park one of his classmates joked it was Universal Studios Japan.

As they were talking, a black void opened up in the center of the USJ. Izuku looked to Aizawa-sensei, who was already watching the mass of people leave the opening. "Sensei... Are those villains?"

"They are." Aizawa-sensei turned toward Thirteen and said, "Get them out of here, I'll deal with the villains." Then he jumped off the stairs and flew towards the hoard of evildoers. Izuku knew Eraserhead was more of an ambush predictor than a frontal attack kind of hero, but he wished him well.

Thirteen was trying to get a signal out when Izuku said, "Thirteen-sensei, Let me run back to school and get help. I promise you, and I am quite fast."

"Go," she said. And Izuku was gone, and there was a hole where the door was. Izuku had just burst through it, not even bothering to stop to open it.

Thirteen rounded up the class and moved towards the exit. As they attempted to flee, a villain appeared in front of them. "Greetings, we are the League of Villains. We were expecting All Might to be here as well. Was there, perhaps, a schedule change?"

"Yes, All Might couldn't make it. I don't know how you got here or why the security is not active, but you'll be sorry once backup arrives."

"There will be no backup. No escape. My job is to scatter you around the facility to be tortured and killed."

"Everyone stay behind me," Thirteen said, raising her arm.

It looked like she was going to do something. It really did. But before she could, the back mist villain was flying in the air. Izuku had returned. And he had flung the mist to the other side of the USJ. "I'm back with help!"

"HOLY SHIT! I'M NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN," Present Mic yelled before bending over to vomit. Midnight and Snipe didn't look much better, but neither threw up.

"That was very fast, Midoriya. Are more heroes on the way?"

"I assume so. I told Powerloader and Hound Dog to sound the alarm when I picked these three up."

"Good job. Go help Eraserhead, I'll escort the students away," Thirteen said.

The three heroes moved to scope the scene. Snipe pulling out his guns and starting to shoot the villains attacking Aizawa as Mic and Midnight made their way down the stairs.

Yaoyorozu tapped Izuku on the shoulder as Midnight was gassing as many villains as possible and reminded him they needed to leave. He smiled at her, and they moved to the entrance. Most of the class had exited through the hole Izuku had made and were heading for the bus.

Before Izuku could exit, the warp villain was back. "I was told there might be a student with the strength and speed of All Might here. You seem a quite fast and strong child."

"I am," Izuku said. He used a small flick of his fingers to (hopefully gently) fling his nearby classmates away from where he was before they attracted the warp villain's attention.

"You'll come with me. Perhaps our Nomu would like a warmup before All Might arrives."

And suddenly, Izuku was consumed by the void. When he blinked, he was in the main plaza where he could see his teachers fighting. They seemed okay, though Aizawa-sensei had some burns on his costume.

Most villains were down or unconscious. The teachers were holding their own, even outnumbered as they were. Snipe was high up taking out villains Izuku hadn't even seen in other zones with his guns, generally causing mayhem. Now and again, a villain would attempt to reach his perch through flying or other means and would live to regret it.

"Tomura Shigaraki, I have a student here who seems to match All Might's speed and strength. He is the one who brought the other heroes here so quickly."

"Went back to school, did you? Are you using a speed hack? No one was supposed to react fast. Kurogiri, where are the rest of the children?"

"They escaped with Thirteen. More teachers will be here soon, so I assumed their escaping was immaterial. We're not here for them at the end of the day."

"Ugh, this is so annoying. First, no All Might, then this little brat ruins our surprise. It won't be annoying for long, though. Nomu kill the brat."

Izuku grabbed One For All just in time and was hit by the Nomu, and it threw him a few dozen metes into a nearby fountain. Thankfully it didn't do much damage to him, seeing as he had great durability. But he was all wet, which was slightly annoying. Still, he smiled his biggest smile, channeling his inner All Might.

Izuku wiped the water off his forehead as he stood up and looked to the Nomu. "Is that all you've got?" Izuku asked. The Nomu didn't respond. The three teachers near him were all trying to move over to help, but the remaining villains separated them. Random loud noises were coming from Present Mic as he used his quirk to fight villains. Izuku smiled and winked at Aizawa-sensei (who seemed to be freaking out a bit) and then looked back to the Nomu. More and more villains seemed to be coming to the central plaza from various zones, Snipe taking out as many as he could, but the flow of villains was enough to keep the teachers occupied. "Not much of a talker, are you?"

"The Nomu, a talker? Ha! It's a brainless beast. The final boss... As powerful as All Might! Get him!"

The Nomu made another approach, but this time Izuku caught the punch in his hand. He was easily matching the speed of the beast.

"Thank you for telling me that." Izuku caught another blow from the Nomu, and this one caused the cement beneath his feet to crack slightly. "Now I won't feel guilty for going all out." And Izuku punched with 100% of All For One. He didn't sound too much like All Might… He needed to be subtle, especially with Tsu-chan suspecting something, so instead of a Detroit Smash, Izuku shouted, "Vancouver Smash!"

The flesh of the beast's chest contorted and rippled as if he threw a stone into the water. Debris around Nomu was flying in the direction he punched, but it did not seem to affect Nomu. Izuku stuck again with the same result.

Shigaraki was laughing. "Nomu has shock absorption and regeneration. Good luck winning All Might Junior." While he was listening to the villain leader, Nomu kept punching him, but Izuku was catching or dodging most of the punches and wondering what it would take to overwhelm the beast.

Aizawa-sensei was almost over to him, "Sensei, I've got this."

"Problem child..."

Izuku didn't let him finish as he started punching into the same spot on Nomu as fast and hard as possible. After three punches, the Nomu moved back a few inches. Izuku smiled. He could overwhelm the shock absorption.

"Winnipeg Smash!" Izuku yelled as he clenched his buttcheeks extra hard.

Randomly reaching towards the Canadian Geography section of his brain, he shouted, "Montreal Smash!" Then, "Sasckacawan Smash!"

The Nomu was looking worse for wear and was slowing down. Izuku grinned wider, "ONTARIO SMASH!" Izuku said. He pushed as much energy into the punch as he could. The Nomu went flying through the dome of the USJ and off into the distance. Like a rubber band snapping, the pressure of all Izuku's smashes coming back to fling the Nomu to next Tuesday.

"Phew, that was a workout!" Izuku said and grinned at Shigaraki and Kurogiri. "You know, when I was a kid, I thought All Might Junior would be a killer hero name. I'm glad I could live up to his example. Who's next?" Izuku cracked his knuckles.

The Villains were interrupted from reacting when a familiar voice sounded, "It's all right now, why? I AM HERE!"

Izuku smiled up at his mentor as he landed next to him. "Well, it looks like you lose," Izuku said to the villains. The teachers seemed to have finally to have taken out most of the other villains.

"Damnit! How could some newbie like you beat my Nomu? Are you All Might's kid or something? How are you so strong?"

Izuku didn't notice the amused look passing between Present Mic and Midnight, or Aizawa's eye roll.

"We should flee, Shigaraki Tomura. We have lost."

"No! I want to kill All Might! I came all this way, and I am going to take my shot." He started to rush for where they stood. Izuku lifted his hand and flicked his finger, and Shigaraki went flying backward into the water of the lake.

Kurogiri sighed and disappeared in the black vortex, smoked extending to the lake, and teleporting the splashing and flailing Shigaraki away from the USJ.

As the rest of the staff and police arrived to maintain order, All Might, Present Mic, and Midnight escorted Izuku to the entrance of the USJ. There were still villains around after all. "Um, so am I going to get in trouble for using my quirk without permission?"

All Might coughed and shrank down to his skeletal form. "No, my boy. It was self-defense, and also on UA property where you are allowed and even expected to use your quirk."

"Oh, good. So are we still going to do some rescue training today?"

Aizawa-sensei just closed his eyes and sighed.

The rest of the day was pretty boring for Izuku. He spoke to a few police officers and a detective, but apparently, the principal wanted to talk with him before leaving for the day. All of his friends had already gone home, and he was just sitting outside the principal's office waiting.

"Ah, Midoriya-kun, well done today. You did UA and the hero course proud."

Izuku stood up and bowed as the principal motioned for him to enter his office. "Thank you, Nedzu-sensei. I was happy to help."

"Indeed, your swift action in bringing the attack to our attention very well could have saved your classmate's lives. But you should not have thrown yourself into the fight needlessly."

"I just wanted to help. I didn't intend to and fight them, but the warp villain brought me to the main square. And frankly, I'm not sure if the teachers could have handled the Nomu."

"Oh?"

"They said it was specifically designed to kill All Might, so while Present Mic, Eraserhead, and Midnight are amazing heroes, they aren't All Might's level of strength or power."

"And you are?"

"Um..." Izuku paused. What was he supposed to say here?

Nedzu laughed. "I was curious as to your response, but you may need to work on your prepared answers. I know about One For All, so I understand your point perfectly. "

"You know?!"

"Why, yes, I do. Not much gets past me, after all, Midoriya-kun."

"Oh, right. That makes sense."

"Good, good. Since you were the only student directly involved, I wanted your opinion on something," he paused. "Do you think the Sports Festival should go on as planned? It's scheduled for about two and a half weeks from now."

"I don't see why not? I mean, we didn't have any injuries or anything. Maybe increase security a bit?"

"My thoughts exactly! I'm glad you don't seem to be suffering from shock or trauma from today's events. Thank you for taking the time to talk to me, Midoriya-kun."

Bonus - Izuku's run to the main campus:

Izuku ran. He put as much power as he could into his running. He left footprints in the ground as he used Full Cowl 100% to get from the USJ back to the main part of campus.

Since it was still near lunch, he ran into the teacher's lounge, having left the USJ approximately 34 seconds before. Time was of the essence. He pulled the door open so hard, it was ripped from the hinges and dropped it. It was not a good day for doors. There were five teachers in the room; three stood at his sudden entrance, Snipe, Present Mic, and Midnight. "What's up, little—"

"No time. USJ under attack. Dozens of villains," Izuku entered the room, walked over to the and three who stood and said, "Present Mic-sensei, on my back. I'll grab Midnight-sensei and Snipe-sensei. Hound Dog-sensei, Powerloader-sensei, send for backup. All Might would be good if possible. No time to waste!"

"Shouta put you up to this, didn't he?" Present Mic said as Izuku started for the door.

"No," Izuku said. "He's fighting 40 villains on his own right now. You may want to close your eyes. I move fast." And with that, Izuku sped back to the USJ, keeping Full Cowl a little lower, as he'd never carried people before and wasn't sure what would happen if he dropped them or stopped too suddenly.

Carrying three teachers was kind of awkward, but they were all making do. Present Mic seemed to be enjoying the trip the least, and Izuku was never going to ask what the noises that Midnight-sensei was making were.

And Izuku was back in less than 2 minutes. The first sign of his return was Present Mic screaming, "HOLY SHIT! I'M NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN!"

And the second was Izuku punching the black misty villain to the other side of the facility.

Bonus 2:

"I'm sorry, Sensei, I failed you," a still soaking wet Shigaraki said.

"No, Tomura, it wasn't a failure. You still breached UA's defenses. The heroes are scrambling. This was but the first strike of many," a voice came from a television with a webcam.

"If it wasn't for that damn cheater, we would have won. He was strong sensei."

"Oh?"

"The one you told us to be on the lookout for, a student with the power of All Might. He defeated the Nomu with barely any punches. It went flying," Kurogiri said.

"And you couldn't recover it?"

"Not without coordinates."

"It's no loss. The doctor has had several breakthroughs lately. But tell me of this powerful student. What is their name?"

"All Might Junior," Shigaraki said with a sneer. "He even shouted smashes with stupid Canadian places. And he kept smiling, just like that damn All Might."

"Indeed, I suppose we'll need to watch the sports festival to learn more, won't we? He is someone to keep an eye on, certainly."

"Of course, Sensei. We'll kill All Might and his little brat next time!"

"Indeed, Tomura, indeed."

Bonus 3:

"So Midoriya knows about Small Might, how does this affect the betting pool odds?" Nemuri asked.

"Small Might?" Shouta asked, not sure he wanted to know.

"You know, deflated All Might. Midoriya was there, and All Might just shrank down. Little Midoriya didn't even bat an eye! More proof, if you ask me."

"I didn't," Shouta said as he zipped up his sleeping bag, ready to ignore the world. It had been a long day.

That didn't stop his friends from gossiping. "Did you hear Midoriya's Canadian smashes? He was trying to hide his familial connection to All Might, no doubt. He inherited his subtlety from his father. It's adorable, really."

Shouta couldn't believe it was only the first week of school, and he already felt like this. And that his friends were like this. Granted, those idiots always acted like this, but usually, the first few weeks of school kept them distracted from their most annoying impulses.

It was going to be a long year.
