There was no school for UA Students the next few days, and then there was a weekend, so Izuku had a chance to rest and relax for a few days. It was kind of boring for him, honestly. He hadn't exchanged numbers with anyone yet, and so he didn't have contact with any of his friends. Well, besides Kacchan. But he wasn't that bored.

The weekend passed quickly, Izuku slept a lot. Not because he was tired but because he was a teenager. But he did train too, All Might always said how he needed to keep training, so he could get stronger, though he felt pretty comfortable with the strength he had now.

There was not much on the news about the attack, UA was downplaying it to the media, saying how the security worked flawlessly and reinforcements arrived quickly. The latter may be true (you're welcome), but the former sure wasn't, which is why they missed school so that the security could be improved. Thankfully his name stayed out of the press, so no one knew which student or class was attacked, other than UA students. And they'd all been told not to talk to the media.

Monday rolled around, and Izuku was excited to get back to school, so he arrived a little earlier than he usually did. He wished he could just use his quirk to run to school... He could sleep in an extra half hour that way. But laws were a thing, so he just took the train like everyone else.

He walked into the classroom and was greeted by a cheer. Uraraka came over and said, "It's so good to see you! We didn't really get to talk to you or sensei before leaving last week."

"He looks fine to me, kero."

"I am fine! I feel great; I slept a lot over the long weekend but still did a bit of training. How are you guys? Were you all okay after I was teleported away?"

"Yeah we got on the bus, and thirteen drove us away. We wanted to go back for you, but Thirteen said you'd be fine," Uraraka said.

"Not all of us wanted to back for the damn nerd," Kacchan said.

"But Bakugo, you were one of the loudest voices demanding to go back. Yaoyorozu and I had to hold you back," Iida said.

"Shut up glasses," Kacchan mumbled.

"Awww, Kacchan, don't worry. I know you only wanted to go back so you could explode some villains." Kacchan grinned fiercely. Then almost as if he realized it was Izuku talking to him, he turned away and went back to his books. Kacchan never changed.

"Anyway," Uraraka said. "We need to exchange numbers right now! We got almost everyone in a group chat, but we realized he didn't have your number."

After exchanging numbers and being added to several group chats, Aizawa-sensei walked into the room. They quieted down quickly at that. "Good, you're getting better at shutting up. Time is valuable, treat it as such. Last week was supposed to go differently; you were not supped to be facing villains this early in your careers. I apologize for the school's failure in allowing villains to attack. We will do our best to make sure it doesn't happen again and that you are safe here. That said, your struggles are not over, the Sports Festival is two weeks away. This is your chance to make a name for yourself, to gain the interest of pros for your internships. We'll be spending most of your heroics class time preparing and training. Any questions?"

"Are you sure it's a good idea to have the sports festival so soon after an attack?" Tsu asked.

"I was against it, but I was outvoted. Security will be massively increased from previous years, and we are hopeful that it will be successful for you."

That day in training, Kacchan approached him and said, "Hey, Deku." He was quieter than usual. "Good job putting that icy bastard in his place at the battle trials last week. The look on his face was fucking priceless. Didn't know you had it in you. Honestly, I have no clue what's up with you and where you got a quirk, but no matter how powerful you think you are, I'm going to beat you at the Sports Festival."

Wow, Kacchan was almost nice! "We'll both do our best, Kacchan! I'm going to try to win just like everyone else. So, we'll see what happens!"

Kacchan grunted and walked away but didn't curse him out or try to hurt him. Could this be progress? Maybe Kacchan would want to be friends again before too long. Who knew the secret to getting Kacchan's respect was just to be massively more powerful than him.

That interaction with Kacchan wasn't the only exciting thing that happened in the two weeks leading up to the sports festival. However, Kacchan did seem better, especially when a group of students from 1-B came over to challenge them before lunch one day. The door was blocked, and the class could not get out.

A blond with what Izuku thought was technically called 'Crazy Eyes' said, "You all must think you're so great, barely escaping a villain attack. So sorry you didn't get more media coverage."

"Um, hello. I'm Midoriya Izuku, class representative from 1-A. It's lovely to meet you all! We were attacked on our field trip, yes. But thankfully there were no injuries!"

"Move out of the way, extras. You're just scoping out the completion for the festival next week. Don't bother trying to hide it. Deku's just too nice for his own good. "

"Ah-ha! The true face of Class A is reveled. What a foul temper, surely this is proof that Class B is the better class! At least we didn't run away from villains when they attacked!"

"Tch. You're crazy. And stupid," Kacchan said as he pushed his way through the crowd.

"Sorry about him, he doesn't like large crowds... or most things. Anyway, it's good to meet you. I was hoping that the two heroics classes would have more classes together! It'd be fun to get to know each other better."

Before the blond could respond, a purple-haired kid said, "It's not just Class B here. Did you know that general studies students who do well in the Sports Festival can be moved to the heroics class? Maybe I'll be the one to take your place."

"Oh, that's so cool. I didn't know that was possible. We have an empty spot in our class, and maybe you'll fill it!"

"Ohhh, was someone already expelled from Class A? Wow, obviously Class B is the best then," the blond said.

Izuku was getting a little annoyed at the blond. He wasn't amicable. Izuku decided to make a challenge. "Well, I guess we'll see who does better at the festival. I'm sorry, you didn't introduce yourself but how about a bet between the two of us. The loser stands up in the cafeteria at lunch the first day back after the festival and announces that the other class is better? The bet being who gets further in the festival?"

"Haha, you think you can beat me? You don't even know my quirk. The great Monoma Neito will enjoy crushing you. Challenge accepted!" Kirishima, Uraraka and Mina were all listening and laughed. "Why are you laughing?"

Izuku turned to see his classmates. "Dude, you're picked the wrong kid to challenge. When the USJ attack happened, not only did Midoriya run back to school and bring backup, but the villains singled him out because he was strong."

"Only because I wasn't there!"

Izuku smiled at that, "I did help bring the teachers, and there are some things I'm not allowed to talk about, but yeah, some stuff went down, and I came out of it no worse for wear. But I'm glad you accepted the challenge, Monoma. Nothing like a friendly rivalry to bring out our best!"

"Friendly? As if!"

"Is it bad that I'm glad the opening in the heroic's department is in Class A and not Class B?" The purple-haired kid asked, causing some laughter, and Monoma to splutter.

A redhead with a ponytail came up to Monoma, knocked him out with a giant fist doing a karate chop and said, "Ugh, I talked to him about this." She looked at the Class A kids. "Sorry about him. He doesn't think before he speaks sometimes. I hope you won't judge our whole class based on your interactions with one student."

"Same! I'm Midoriya Izuku, class rep of 1-A. I'd ask the same of you and some louder members of our class."

She smiled, "Kendo Itsuka, 1-B's rep. I'll try to keep Monoma in line in the future."

"Good luck! If Kacchan—Bakugo gives you guys any trouble come find me!"

She smiled and dragged Monoma away towards the cafeteria.

"You're going to kick his ass, right Midoriya?"

Izuku let a smile slowly cover his face. "Hell yeah. He won't know what hit him."

Izuku looked around for the purple-haired kid but realized he was already gone. He seemed cool.

Izuku thought he might make it to the cafeteria, but on his way with his friends, who were complimenting him for how he handled the situation, All Might appeared with two trays and asked to share lunch. Izuku, of course, agreed with a smile.

He didn't notice the mismatched eyes of a particular classmate on him as he cheerfully walked away with the number one hero.

They arrived at a meeting room. All Might shrank down almost immediately to his smaller form. They sat down for lunch together next to each other on the couch and made small talk while they ate and just caught up with each other as it had been a busy time since the USJ.

When they had finished their meals, All Might said, "You've been doing great these past days, my boy. Your actions in the USJ were inspiring as well. It would have gone much differently if you hadn't been there. I've been speaking to the police about the Nomu, and it's not good."

"Uh, did it survive?"

All Might coughed up blood and put his arm around Izuku's shoulder. "I am deeply sorry for not letting you know sooner, young Midoriya. I thought you knew. It did survive, they've done a DNA analysis, and it has the DNA of several people seemingly how it had several quirks. One of which seems to be some kind of healing."

"How did they manage to take it in? It was pretty strong, even if One fo— my quirk was well suited for it."

"It seems to be mindless, with no orders it just sits and stares. It's rather creepy actually. After the Sports Festival, we'll talk more about it. We have a theory, but it can wait. This brings me to why I wanted to talk to you! The Sports Festival is the perfect opportunity to tell the world, 'I am here!'"

Izuku nodded. "I agree. I am going to do my best, and I think I'll be able to make a strong statement. I need to give that speech at the start too. A lot of eyes will be on me."

"Excellent! I can't wait to see what you can do. But know this, I am proud of you no matter what happens."

It was getting close to when class was to be resuming, so they stood up. Izuku couldn't help himself and hugged All Might hugged him back.

The day of the Sports Festival dawned. Izuku was sitting in the locker room, waiting for the event to begin. He was a little nervous, not really for the festival but because of his speech. His incredibly overpowered quirk was great, but he couldn't figure out a way to use it to help with his nerves. Or public speaking. It wasn't like it was a school assembly; this event was broadcast worldwide!

Izuku thought he had a good speech, and hoped that people agreed. He was broken out of his rumination as Todoroki approached him. Izuku stood and smiled, "Good morning, Todoroki-kun! I hope you're ready for the festival today."

"I am. I want to say that you may be stronger than me, but I have more training, and I am going to beat you."

Kirishima chimed in, "Whoa, dude. What's with the declaration of war?"

"I'm not here to make friends. I'm here to win, and I will."

Todoroki turned away, but Izuku stopped him, "We're all going to do our best, Todoroki-kun. I wish you luck in beating me. I hope you give it your all." Izuku had learned during training that Todoroki had two facets to his quirk, fire on the left and ice on the right. He only ever used his ice for some reason.

"Good luck with that, Icyhot. You'll only use half your quirk, and you expect to beat Deku?" Kacchan laughed and walked away from the other boy.

The signal came for their class to walk out to the field, and they did. The stadium was huge and filled with people. Present Mic was commentating, announcing he classes as they walked out. Someone thought it was a good idea for Midnight, the R-Rated Hero to be the master of ceremonies for the festival. She was talking about the festival and thanking people for coming when she said, "And now I welcome the student representative who not only got the highest score on the practical exam ever but also was the highest-scoring non-recommendation student on the written exam. He's one you should watch. I know I am," she snapped her whip and winked at him. Izuku swallowed audibly. "Let's hear it for Midoriya Izuku!"

Izuku walked up the stairs to the stage and over to the microphone. He took a deep breath and said, "Thank you very much for your interest in UA's first years!" There was a small cheer from the crowd, and Izuku paused. "We all come from different backgrounds, have different origins, different world views, but to paraphrase All Might, we are here. You may not know our names yet, but we are the future. From the Management Department to Support Course to General Studies to Heroics. We are here. We're here to show you what we've got. To prove ourselves, not only by participating in the festival but the organizing of it, the amazing inventions we'll see, to the underdogs who have something to prove. None of us are the same, but all of us are here for the same reason. To go beyond." The whole crowd screamed, "Plus Ultra."

Izuku felt like he did a good job. He didn't want just say something for the heroic students because other departments were competing. Some of his class patted him on the back as he moved back towards his class.

Midnight was back at center stage and said, "What a positively invigorating speech. Well done. Let's see how you all are going to have to go beyond first!" She spun a giant wheel, and it landed on, "Obstacle Race."

Izuku smiled. A race would be right up his alley. He wanted to make the best impression he could, and there was no better way than that. He was the fastest in his class, by far, and he might be the fastest in his year. The obstacles might prove to be difficult but nothing some creative uses of One For All can't fix...

They all lined up next to a tunnel where they would start. Izuku could tell that would be the first obstacle. The race started, and Izuku stayed toward the back of the pack. He took a deep breath and activated Full Cowl at a high percent. He jumped and was running along the wall, quickly passing those caught in what Present Mic called the Crush. Izuku was ahead of the central mass of students, and when the tunnel ended, he pushed off with an enhanced jump. And he was safely in first place, floating through the air.

Suddenly, he saw several zero pointers which he happened to be fast approaching. He didn't have a way to stop, but he didn't need to. He activated Full Cowl as he continued to approach the robot.

Izuku hit the zero pointer and didn't even slow down. There was momentary darkness in his vision as he passed through the chassis of the robot. If he looked back, he would have seen an Izuku-sized hole in the bot as it crashed to the ground a dozen meters behind the other bots.

Izuku just kept zooming forward. He didn't seem to be slowing down; he just kept on going. Thankfully, most of the race was a straight line.

He looked ahead and saw a giant canyon with few ropes across. Thankfully, since he was flying, he didn't even need to slow down. Instantly he was over what he heard Present Mic frantically call 'The Fall.' He must almost be at the end. Flying 4 km should not take too long with his quirk.

Izuku saw a minefield coming up and decided to start his deceleration as he crossed it. He eased off float and landed a few meters past the minefield, leaving a small crater in the ground. He tried to make it look cool when he landed. However, because he instantly activated Full Cowl again and started to run to the end of the race that may have gone unnoticed. He ran back into the stadium and to the finish line. There were some cheers but also some confusion as he waved at the crowd.

Present Mic announced, "Unbelievable! Midoriya Izuku has completed the entire course in one minute and twenty-six seconds, and he was one of the last to start, avoiding most of the Crush! Did he cross most of the course with that one jump at the start? INSANE! Now, look at Todoroki there just approaching Robo-Inferno. He just took out a few of the remaining robots! What are you teaching these kids, Eraser?"

"They came like that," he heard his teacher deadpan. Izuku was enjoying watching his classmates tackle the robots, and he wandered over to Midnight. "Midnight-sensei, is there anything I should be doing?"

She laughed, "You're fine, Midoriya. Well done. Just enjoy the show with the rest of us!"

Izuku sat down with his back against the wall watching his classmates—no, the completion—tackle the obstacles. They arrived at The Fall and were making their way across. The rest of the race was mostly watching Kacchan and Todoroki-kun fought it out for second place. They were neck in neck and Izuku was not sure who would win. He was enjoying watching and Present Mic's energetic commentary with Eraserhead offering some dry quips.

It ended up being a photo finish, and Todoroki came in second, while Kacchan came in third. Kacchan huffed as Izuku approached him. "Showing off, nerd?"

"Of course. But you did really well too! Good luck in the next round!"

He responded with a grunt and Izuku wandered over to some of his friends who had come in near the top congratulating them. He was enjoying hearing about his friend's experiences. When the 42nd person finished the race, it was announced that no one else would advance, and they congratulated everyone on their performances.

A few minutes later, the last stragglers were finishing and Midnight retook the floor spinning the wheel. The result was a cavalry battle. Izuku knew that was a team event from having watched previous festivals and looked around at who had qualified. It seemed like most of his class, and the other heroics class had, as well as a few others he didn't recognize.

He had kind of zoned out listening until he heard Midnight say, "Except for first place, which is worth ten million points!"

Instantly Izuku felt everyone's eyes on him. Two different parts of Izuku were fighting for dominance in his brain, fear and confidence. He settled on the latter and grinned savagely. Several people reared back a bit. This would be fun. He needed a group and knew many people wouldn't want to be in his group because of the target on his head, but figured he'd be okay. He looked towards the non-heroics kids and saw the purple-haired boy from the hallway earlier looking a little lost and nervous. Yep, Izuku decided he was going to adopt him.

Marching over to the purple-haired kid, he said, "Want to team up with me?"

"Why would you want to work with me? You don't even know my quirk."

"Don't care. You have more of a desire to win than anyone else I know. I can see it in your eyes."

He paused and was about to answer when a pink-haired girl came up to him, "Hey ten million! Let me join your team. My babies will make short work of the other teams, and all eyes will be on you so that I can show them off."

"Babies?" Izuku asked, confused.

"My inventions! I'm from the support course."

Izuku grinned and said, "Welcome aboard. I'm Midoriya Izuku. What about you?" Izuku asked the purple-haired kid.

"Shinso Hitoshi. And I guess so." Izuku smiled brightly.

"Deku!" He heard shouted. Turing he saw Uraraka, "Can I call you Deku? I know Bakugo does, but I like how it sounds!"

"He calls me that because it means useless, Uraraka..."

"I thought it had a 'you can do it' vibe."

Izuku's mind blanked a little at that. It was such a kind sentiment. "I like that, so sure, go ahead. Just don't call Kacchan, Kacchan unless you want to die!"

She laughed. "Can I join your team?"

"Of course!" Izuku said, glad at how easy it was to find a team. "Now let's plan."

Izuku learned the girl from support was name Hatsume Mei and that the purple-haired boy had a mind control quirk, which caused Izuku to fanboy a little at how useful it would be for heroics. Shinso looked a bit flustered at Izuku's praise, but Izuku moved on quickly as to their plan.

Izuku was going to be the front horse, Mei on the left, Uraraka on the right with Shinso riding. He asked Hatsume to connect them with one of her gadgets, so when they moved, they wounded fall apart. They also put on the hover boots, one on Hatsume's left foot, and one on Uraraka's right foot. They mounted up, and the battle started.

As Izuku assumed, many groups came for them. Uraraka had made everyone but Izuku weightless, and so when Izuku jumped, it felt like he was by himself. There was no strain on his quirk or his floating. His team was safely attached to him, and they all floated over the battlefield, above the reach of everyone else.

"Okay, now we can plan for a minute."

"How long can you hold us up here?" Shinso asked.

"A few hours, probably. Uraraka may not be able to hold her quirk for that long though." She nodded, looking a little queasy. "Why?"

"Well, why don't we just stay here? We'll win if we do."

"Sure, but we're not just here to win, we need to show off!" Izuku said.

"Hell yeah!" Mei agreed.

"Let's go take some headbands. Hatsume—"

"Call me Mei!"

Izuku nodded. "Mei, can you give me control of the hover boots? Uraraka, I think you can take your quirk off yourself once we get going. With my floating and the hover boots, I think we'll be able to fly pretty well."

She looked relieved when she released her quirk on herself. Izuku barely noticed the weight change, but it was slightly uneven now, which was also not a big deal for Izuku. He just needed to get used to it.

They settled on a target; two teams focused on each other. Izuku activated Full Cowl and tested the boot's controls. They were handy because while floating was great, flying would be better. With the hover boots, he was flying.

"Okay, guys, I'll bring us close. Try to grab a few headbands. It's going to be fast, so watch out.

It tuned out it was too fast for them. Izuku brought them down to the two warring parties, one from his class and one of Class B. They zoomed by the group, and Izuku grabbed three headbands before ascending back to the sky. He looked over his shoulder at his teammates. Uraraka looked like she was going to throw up soon and not because of her quirk. He handed the headbands back to Shinso who had them on his head. "Was that too fast?"

Shinso looked at him and said, "Just a bit." Mei was laughing maniacally at the whole situation.

"I didn't want to go too slowly, so they couldn't react."

"I get that, but we couldn't react either. I'm not sure they even noticed you stealing their headbands."

Izuku was interrupted from replying when Kacchan came flying towards them. "DEKU!"

"Hey, Kacchan! Nice day for a fly, isn't it?" Izuku shouted as he used the hover boots to move them out of his line of fire.

"Get back here, you shitty nerd!"

"My, what a nice headband you have, Kacchan. Would be a shame if something happened to it..." The second Izuku finished saying that he used the combination of Full Cowl and the hover boots to zip past the explosive blond. Izuku was spinning the other boy's headband on his finger with a smile. "Lose something?"

"DEKU!" Kacchan shouted, and he sent himself towards the group. Izuku lifted his arm and sent a low-powered, for One For All, finger flick in Kacchan's direction. His trajectory immediately reversed, and he tumbled towards the ground, controlling his lift enough so that he landed back on his team, glaring up at Izuku, teeth exposed. Izuku smiled down at him.

Yeah, Izuku had seen that glare before, but it didn't bring the same fear to him as it used to. Izuku handed the headband to Shinso.

"How are you holding up, Uraraka?"

"My quirk is fine, but the speed you move us is making me motion sick... I'm sorry!"

"Don't worry. There are only a few minutes left. We've got this in the bag," Izuku paused. "You know, Todoroki declared war on me earlier today. Maybe we should show him why that was a bad idea?"

Uraraka giggled, Mei grinned, and Shinso sighed. Izuku's smile was wide at their responses. "He is in second place, after all. It would be a shame to just rest on our laurels up here."

They all agreed, and Izuku moved them, so they were directly about Todoroki's team. They were not paying attention to the sky, but rather to a team of Class B kids they were attacking. "Hit and run like last time, but this time we'll slow it down. It's no good to beat an opponent if they don't know it's you beating them."

So, Izuku reactivated Full Cowl and dive-bombed Todoroki and his team. He aimed for Todoroki's left side, since it was his weaker side, not using that part of his quirk. In the first second, Izuku had taken three headbands off Todoroki's head. He hung there for a second, to let the other team know what happened. He saw some flames spark from the boy's left side. Izuku waved as they hit the ground and then blasted off, using the intense wind from their takeoff as cover. Safely in the air again, Izuku handed the bands to Shinso. They must have been worth fewer points than Todoroki's original headband because the half-hot half-cold boy's team was still in second place.

Izuku and his team decided to not pick on the same team twice, as that could be bullying, and continued to execute the same move with various groups. It was almost too easy, and they even had to deal with Kacchan again when he had enough points to be in third place.

The battle ended with Shinso barely able to see over all the headbands they had collected. Their strategy didn't only increase their score, but also made the other teams more desperate in their attacks on each other because so many points were unreachable.

Time was finally called, and Izuku slowly lowered his team to the ground as Midnight announced they were the winners. Mei disconnected them so they could get down and Izuku smiled. Several teams were glaring at him, but hey, it was a completion.

Todoroki's team had held on to second place, but Kacchan had slipped to fourth, while a team from 1-B had gotten third. Izuku was happy to see Monoma was there, and he waved at the boy with who he had a bet from the other class. The blond glared back.

Izuku had seen his quirk in action, and it seemed to be a copy quirk of some sort, considering he was using Kacchan's explosions for the last part of the battle.

"And we'll take a lunch break now. Well done to all the competitors! We'll have some recreational games for everyone after that and then go to the third round of the festival!"

Izuku turned to his team and smiled at them. "Good job, guys! We dominated!"

"I didn't even need to use my quirk," Shinso said faintly.

"Quirks aren't everything, Shinso! And now you have the element of surprise in the third round."

Shinso nodded, but their conversation was interrupted by Todoroki. "Midoriya, I want to speak to you."

Izuku blinked, surprised and said, "Sure Todoroki-kun. What's up?"

"Alone."

"Ah, okay. Uraraka, save me a seat at lunch? Shinso, Mei, you're welcome to join us! Let's go somewhere quiet, Todoroki-kun."

They walked away from the team, looking for a quiet place to speak.

Bonus

The teacher's lounge had been louder than usual lately. It was always like that towards the beginning of the year. Teachers excited by students, at least until the humdrum of the year got going.

So, when Shouta walked in and saw Hizashi and Nemuri arguing over a laptop, he sighed and kissed his nap chance goodbye. He walked over to them and said, "What are you doing?"

"Oh! Shouta! You startled me. Too much stealth training my man!" Hizashi said. "We saw All Might pulled Midoriya aside to have lunch in one of the meeting rooms together. We can't get the sound on the video, though. Nedzu probably could, but he said we were on our own since it related to the bet."

"The bet? About Midoriya and All Might? Nedzu's in on that now? Anyway, I thought it was over because All Might basically admitted it the other day."

"Oh, Nedzu's not betting, just aware. And that confession doesn't count. It's just your word as no one else heard it! We need real video footage. But none of the videos have audio! We thought it was a glitch but now think Nedzu is just messing with us!" Nemuri said.

"The meeting could be private. Isn't it inappropriate, trying to eavesdrop on them?"

"But watch it! It's so domestic! Look, All Might is about to put his arm across Midoriya's shoulder. Such a dad move."

"He did say they trained together; it might just be they got close, Hizashi."

"Wait until the end!" Nemuri exclaimed, fast-forwarding through the conversation.

Shouta watched as the video slowed down and then Midoriya stood up and hugged All Might. There was a precise science behind hugs. You hugged different people differently. Shouta knew a lot about body language and seeing them embrace; they were very familiar. It looked to Shouta like more than just a student and teacher. Midoriya melted into it, and All Might seemed to enjoy it as well.

"See?!" Hizashi said, somewhat manically. "More evidence, but still not proof. Maybe we can get something at the sports festival. Proud dad and all that."

"You assume Midoriya is going to do well at the festival."

Both Nemuri and Hizashi just stared at him. Shouta sighed. "He is powerful, yes, but anything can happen. The events may not be suited for his quirk." They continued to stare at him. "Do you want to make bets on if he'll win?"

"You'd bet against him?"

"Not against him, I'd bet on the rest of the student body. Raw strength is not always going to work. If it did, I would not have won our first sports festival, after all."

There was a beat of silence. "That's fair." A pause. "How much?"

"5000 yen on anyone other than Midoriya winning overall."

"Done!" Both exclaimed.

"Now I need a nap, so keep it down."

Bonus 2

All Might was sitting with the teachers; he was in his small might form because he needed to save his time for the awards ceremony or if they were attacked. He was seated next to Thirteen and Snipe.

"So, All Might, do you have your eye on anyone?" Thirteen asked.

"Oh yes, I think Midoriya has a good chance."

He didn't notice the look the two teachers shared. "Ah, yes. Midoriya is quite strong, isn't he?"

"Indeed! He's also giving the speech this year. He wouldn't show me what he wrote, but wanted to surprise me."

All Might started crying when Midoriya paraphrased his motto. "Oh, my boy."

The teachers shared another look over the crying man, not saying anything to fill the awkward silence. All Might composed himself quickly and before the first event started said, "he has this race in the bag, I can tell from the gleam in his eyes."

"But he's just standing there?" Snipe said, confused.

"Waiting for the opportune moment to strike," All Might said with a smile. And just as he finished saying that Midoriya disappeared in a flash. The cameras could barely track him; he was moving so fast. A zero pointer fell with a hole in its head, and Midoriya kept going. Over all the obstacles and to the finish line. "Ha! I knew he'd manage."

Snipe and Thirteen shared another look. It got worse in the second event when Midoriya's team and their hit and fade attacks kept successfully working. Midoriya seemed to know the exact team to hit for maximum impact. It was very impressive and there was murmuring from the pro heroes around them about how well-executed their plan had been so far.

When the event ended, All Might got up with a proud grin still on his face. "Well, I knew Young Midoriya would do well. Glad he proved me right, I'll see you after lunch." With that, the number one hero left.

"So, are you going to raise your bet in the pool too?"

"I'd be an idiot not to. He cried when Midoriya quoted him for god's sake."

Thirteen nodded and agreed.
