After explaining to the Ms. Wendy that he would be back later, Joshua and Pomona went outside and went into a side alley where Pomona said "We will be going to Diagon Alley by Apparation to get your supplies. I should warn you though that Apparation can be very disorienting the first time, so I would suggest you close your eyes and prepare yourself."

Joshua nodded and did just that. He then put a bandaged hand on Pomona's arm and held on as he felt as if being sucked through an infinitely narrow tube only to reappear in a new alleyway in London. Pomona looked to Joshua and was surprised to see that he was perfectly fine. "You seem like you've done this before." she observed.

"I have."

Pomona was gobsmacked. This eleven year old boy was incredibly gifted and despite all that had happened to him, he remained humble. She hoped he would be joining Hufflepuff when he got to Hogwarts. The two of them proceeded to exit the alleyway and enter the Leaky Cauldron. When they entered, the bartender, Tom asked "Ah Pomona! Your usual?"

"Thank you but no, Tom. I'm here to help young Joshua to find his school supplies." she replied, gesturing to Joshua.

Tom just stared at Joshua as did everyone else in the bar. Joshua decided to speak up and said "If you must stare, you could at the very least be kinder or more subtle about it."

Everyone in the bar slowly looked away and began to resume their conversations, albeit much more subdued than before. Pomona asked Joshua on their way to the back "You know, I can hide your bandages behind a glamour. Like an illusion?"

"No thank you. My burns and the bandages around them are not something I wish to hide. I wear my wounds with pride, and hide nothing. People will stare as it is their nature, but I will not bend to their pressure to appear normal."

Pomona was pleasantly surprised by this declaration by the young man and decided not to question him further. She then pulled out her wand and tapped the bricks to open the entrance to the alley.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley." she declared.

Joshua had little visible reaction beyond the slight widening of his eyes, but Pomona could tell that he was amazed. With that, Joshua and Pomona walked through the Alley towards Gringotts Bank, receiving a number of odd looks on the way.

When they arrived inside the lobby, the looks continued from the lobby patrons and the goblins, not that Joshua seemed to notice or care. Once they made it to the teller, Pomona walked up and said "Hello honorable teller, may your enemies fall to your blade."

The teller replied "Hello may your gold forever flow. What can Gringotts do for you today?"

"I need to make a withdrawal for a new Hogwarts student."

The teller then called out "Griphook!" and a new goblin approached with a bag with the predetermined amount of money for the school supplies. But before Pomona could say thank you after accepting the bag, Joshua said "Thank you honorable teller. May your gold flow into your vault like the blood of your enemies onto the ground."

The two goblins, as well as every goblin that could hear him looked at him in carefully hidden appreciation and the teller said "And may your vaults forever fill." And with that, Pomona and Joshua went to leave the bank.

But before they could, they heard a man with silvery blonde hair and a snake headed cane say to a goblin "You will bring me my financial documents and you will do so now, filthy little beast!"

Joshua was not one to simply look the other way and said "Perhaps if you were smarter sir, you would realize that insulting those who possess what you desire is a bad idea."

The man turned to face Joshua, as did everyone else in the bank. "How dare you?! I am Lucius Malfoy, lord of House Malfoy and you will apologize this instant!"

"Of course." Joshua then leaned to the left. "I apologize on behalf of humanity for the insensitive and unkind actions of Lucius Malfoy, lord of House Malfoy. If you wished to remove him from this fine establishment, I doubt many, if any, would blame you."

The silence was deafening. Malfoy was stunned at this child's audacity and the patrons, Pomona included, were amazed at the child's guts. But the teller and every other goblin was internally laughing like madmen.

Eventually the goblin teller said "I thank you good sir for the apology. And as a matter of fact, while we will not be removing Lord Malfoy from Gringotts, we will be taking a sizable penalty from his vaults for his inappropriate conduct."

"Of course, honorable teller. May the death of your enemies be swift and merciless." Joshua said.

"And may your wealth ever expand." The teller replied.

Joshua and Pomona then left while everyone else in the bank was still trying to figure out what exactly had just happened.

Once back outside, Pomona said "While I commend your morals and actions, I should warn you against antagonizing Lucius Malfoy. He has deep pockets and deeper connections in the Ministry of Magic."

"Thank you for your concern but Lucius Malfoy is lucky iI did not stab him with his own femur."

Pomona was silent for a moment, before steering Joshua into Flourish and Blotts, then the Apothecary. Once they had the books and potions ingredients, Joshua went into Madam Malkins to be fitted for his robes while Professor Sprout went to do some of her own shopping. Joshua went in to be greeted by stares, as was normal for him.

He went up to Madam Malkin and asked to be measured for Hogwarts robes. She then quietly showed him to a measuring stand and a floating measuring tape proceeded to measure him while a girl with bushy hair also being measured looked at Joshua in curiosity.

"You may ask your question, so long as you are polite, I won't become angry." He said.

"Um, why are you wearing bandages?" The girl asked, blushing.

"I was baptized." He said

"Baptized?"

"In holy fire by the hands of my uncle."

Everyone looked at him horrified, the girl was especially teary eyed. Joshua continued though.

"I have grown used to my burns and despite the stares, I see no reason to be ashamed. Unfortunate events have occurred and I have decided to grow from it."

Those listening were amazed, but the girl had a look of realization on her face. "Wait. I heard about you. You're Joshua Graham! You were everywhere on the news!" She said.

"Yes. And who might you be?" He asked.

The girl blushed and said "My name is Hermione Granger."

"Y-you're done dear." Madam Malkin said. With that, Hermione stepped off the stand and asked "Will I see you at Hogwarts?"

"Most likely. I have no intention of abandoning my friends. Yourself included."

Hermione was shocked. "You want to be my friend?"

"Of course, Ms. Granger."

Hermione then expressed her profound thanks with a strong hug that Joshua was happy to return. Then Hermione left with a little skip in her step.

Joshua was finished with the measurements as Pomona returned. The two of them then walked towards Ollivanders for Joshua's wand. When they went in, Ollivander immediately introduced himself from behind the counter and began searching for a wand.

After 30 minutes of trial and error, Ollivander presented a final wand. "Holly and Phoenix Tail Feather, eleven inches."

When Joshua gripped the wand, a near blinding light erupted from the end in the shape of a flaming bird with a rallying cry. The first to recover from their shock was Ollivander when he said "Curious. Very curious."

At Pomona and Joshua's looks of intrigue, Ollivander explained "The phoenix whose tail feather was used for this wand gave another. Just one other. For the wand of he-who-must-not-be-named. I had honestly expected this wand to belong to Harry Potter, the boy-who-lived."

At this, Pomona looked at Joshua curiously, while Joshua's eyes narrowed almost dangerously. They then paid for the wand and a wand holster at Joshua's insistence. They then left for the Florean Fortesque's for lunch.

Joshua then asked Professor Sprout "What is so important about Harry Potter?"

And with that, Pomona proceeded to explain the war with Lord Voldemort and the story of how Harry Potter had survived the killing curse and defeated Voldemort. The whole time Joshua said nothing, then quietly asked Pomona to join him as he went back to Gringotts.

As they entered, all the goblins looked towards them in anticipation, hoping for more entertainment. They were a little disappointed when he asked the head teller for an inheritance test.

The two were escorted to the inheritance offices and a goblin behind a desk. "Greetings, my name is Greedtooth. I understand you wish to take an inheritance test?"

"Yes. I believe I may be eligible for an inheritance and would like to verify." Joshua said.

"Very well then. I will need three drops of your blood on this parchment." Greedtooth said, sliding a parchment forward.

"So be it." Joshua declared as he pulled out a pocket knife and after undoing some of the wraps on his hands, sliced his hand slightly to allow three drops of blood to fall on the parchment. Once three drops had fallen he pulled his hand away, but before Pomona could heal the wound, it sealed before her very eyes!

She looked at Joshua and all he said was "My will is stronger than that wound." Neither noticed Greedtooth looking at Joshua with respect in his eyes. They then looked at the parchment.

Pomona and Greedtooth looked at Joshua in silent shock. Joshua simply said "I would appreciate discretion from you both on this matter."

They both nodded their agreement and Joshua continued with "I would like to replace all of the money we spent today with an equal amount from my trust vault."

"Of course. It will be done." Greedtooth said.

"I would also like to see my finances for the last ten years."

"But you should have been receiving them already."

"I grew up never seeing any mail. Ever."

"Then it seems that someone has been tampering with your mail. I assure you that we take matters like this very seriously and will discover the reason for this. In the meantime, here are your bank statements." Greedtooth said. "Will that be all?"

"Yes. May your enemies fear your arrival."

"And may your gold forever flow."

Eventually Pomona Sprout and Joshua would return to Wool's Orphanage in silence. Once they had returned to Joshua's room, he said "Again, I would like to ask you not to tell anyone about what you have learned about me at Gringotts. I already get stared at enough."

"Of course, Joshua." She replied.

Once inside, Pomona gave Joshua a pamphlet on Hogwarts and how to get to Platform 9 3/4. She then said "I will see you at Hogwarts."

"Thank you and God be with you. And remember: weekends here or I won't be attending."

"Of course." And with a small crack, she was gone.

While Joshua began to read, Professor Sprout went to the headmaster's office, her mind stuck on one Joshua Graham. He was clearly a man of god. Not boy, man. He was kind and respectful, even in his unique way of speaking. Though he clearly wouldn't tolerate bullies or oppression, as seen by his reaction to Lucius Malfoy. Though he also seemed ready to hurt Lucius, if the femur stabbing threat was anything to go by.

But despite having plenty of reason to be hateful, spiteful, and violent, he was quite the opposite actually. He expressed love, compassion, and seemed to avoid violence. He was a good person. And she would be happy to see him here.

She told Albus about the weekend condition that Joshua required, and he was perfectly fine with it, though he was a little taken aback by the request. Pomona thanked Albus and left for the conference room to meet Minerva and Filius.

When she arrived, she sat down with her colleagues and Filius asked her "So did your excursion go well?"

"Indeed."

Minerva asked "So what should we expect from this 'Joshua Graham'?"

Pomona simply replied "A young man with a kind heart."
