Outworld.
A realm where worlds are merged.
A realm where worlds are destroyed.
A realm where a few fighters are chosen to participate in a high-stakes tournament to decide the fate of their own.
A desolate realm under a violet sky, Outworld was vast, dark, and featureless. Indigenous people scrounging for sustenance and clinging to some semblance of life.
And at the center of it all was a dark, ominous-looking tower, standing to the sky for what seemed like an eternity. This tower was home to Shao Kahn. A tyrannical, barbaric ruler who had invaded Outworld and declared himself Emperor. A throne conquered in both blood and brutality.
With the help of his servant – a demon sorcerer named Shang Tsung – Outworld had now become a stronghold for Kahn and his army.
A place for them to rule.
A place for them to plan.
Now, thanks to the Emperor's spies, Kahn set his sight on a new realm to conquer and enslave.
