Abby chooses dauntless too! Jason is staring at her back . First time announces own people transfer is a big shock. Maybe Abby just wants to stay away from Eric but Eric is also choosing this year . I wander where will Eric chooses .

"She is a bitch ." Shauna rolls her eyes

"Stop it Shauna . She is my best friend ." I shake my head .

"Her mother is a third person . Her father was married with other people and her mother slept with her father and had her ." Shauna shrugs

I don't know this but I know that Abby isn't a bad girl

"That's isn't her fault." I explain

"Quiet." Jason shouts

We are all quiet now . Abby sits down beside me . Her face is all pale . Did she heard the conversation? I grab her hand and squeeze it. I want to tell her that I don't believe them.

"You can trust them all you want Delia . I am okay with it." Abby is crying

"No I am not . One day they will understand you." I hug her

She hugs me back. I will trust her . Even if they don't want to be my friends anymore , then I will still trust her .

James tucker is dauntless born . He walks slowly toward the stage . Suddenly he falls on the ground . All the dauntless erupt into laughter . Dignity is very important for dauntless and now his dignity was attacked .

"Are you okay?" I help him to stand up." Believe me , they don't mean it."

"Yeah they don't and who cares ?" He pushes my hand away .

He walks on the stage . Jason looks at him angrily. He always does that when people offended me .

"Choose wisely." Jason warns him

James takes the knife from him and he looks at us. I nod at him to tell him that it is his freedom to choose whatever he wants . He looks at me for a long time and then cuts his palm opens

The blood is dripping. He walks toward the bowl . He looks from right to left and then he drops his blood into a bowl

"Candor." Jason shouts

I am shocked . The first transfer from dauntless . Did those people know that they are the one who forced him to leave dauntless? Does he originally wants to do that or it is all because of those laughter!

It is very soon that we finish the ceremony with the last girl choose amity , the faction which she comes from.

"That's insane ." A Candor girl exclaims ." Hey I am Elizabeth and this is my sister Elisa ."

"Hey I am Delia prior ." I smile at her

Then we are all leaving. I run out of the room. I don't want to see how my parent are reacting. They must be sad and angry . However at least my sisters are all staying with them probably.

No one can be more selfish than I am . I surprisingly find out that dauntless are also using the stair . I wander what purpose are they using it for . Very soon I find out that they are doing it not for selfless but for wildness and self enjoyment.

When we exist the building, it is already very late . The sun is setting and people are going back home now from their work. When they see us , that they all leaving us some space .

We run toward the track . Abby can't keep up the pace and I should want to help her

"Don't help her Delia." Zeke shakes his head at me .

"Why? She is my best friend ." I want to go and help her

"You really think that she will be your best friend ? When it is training time , that you will know that no one will be your friends." Zeke smirks at me.

We finally arrive at the train track . Abby finally makes it. I see other people are all climbing and I start to climb too. I like to climb high while I was young so I am good at it.

"You are good at it ." A woman gives me a thumb up." I am Zeke's mother hana pedrad."

"Hey ms pedrad , nice to meet you. I am Delia." I say

Hana is the ambassador for dauntless and she is so pretty .

"Quicker , it is time ." Someone shouts.

I speed up and finally make it to the top. I stand on the platform breathing heavily.

"You have to keep up the pace ." The dauntless member shakes his head

"Sure I am sorry." I apologize

The train is coming now and I know that we have to run. Abby just makes it when the train comes and she follows me . I grab the handle and haul myself in the car

"Good job Delia ." Elizabeth gives me a wink

"Thanks Elizabeth ." I try to calm myself down

Abby is now hanging on the handle and I want to help her . I hesitate for a second and then reach out to her .

"Thank you." She gets in the car ." Did they tell you something?"

"Not really, I am sorry that I didn't react quick enough for you."I feel very guilty.

"Delia comes and sits with us ." Marlene is calling me .

I don't know should I go or not. I look at Elisa . Elisa nods at me .

"Go ." Elisa says in a low voice

I stand up and walk toward them. I sit down beside Shauna .

"Abby isn't a good girl . You will see one day. Maybe now she is a good friend but you will see when it is coming to rank ." A little boy rolls his eyes.

"Who are you?" I ask .

"I am Hector . I am Marlene's little brother ." Hector rests his head on marlene's shoulder .

Marlene brushes his hair . I like his curly hair

"I like your curly hair . So cool." I giggle

"Thank you. You have to aware of her existence . Her father's ex wife was her mother's cousin." Marlene looks outside ." She stole her husband ."

"I didn't know it but Abby seems fine ." I lower my head

We now hear a loud scream . We are approaching the platform . That is dauntless headquarter and the big hole is there . Are we going to jump into the headquarter? I think the answer is yes.

"We have to jump." Shauna says

We stand up and I am so nervous . Hector reaches out for me

"Need a hand?" Hector blinks at me

"No thank you. I can do that." I say

Hector is so cute and he is very helpful. I wish that my brother can treat me like this too. After they jump, I jump too. I landed on the platform with my two feet.

It is the first time that I feel this happy. I make it . However I wander how can we get into the compound .

"Delia why are you not with me?" Abby questions me

"She doesn't need to be with you every single second ." Zeke smirks." Watch your mouth Abby."

"It's none of your business ."

Abby is angry with me and Zeke . I don't want to say a word

"My name is Sam. One of your lieutenant. If you want to become dauntless, here is the way in. If you don't have the gut to jump, then you dont belong to dauntless ." Sam smirks at us." Our initiates always have the privilege of jumping first."

"Is there water or anything at the button?" William , one of erudite transfer asks.

"You will find out or not." Sam shrugs

We are all silent. I look at them . They are all looking down on the ground

"Me." I raise my hand

"Okay please ." Sam leaves a space for me

I stand on the ledge and very soon that I regret.

"Today initiate." Sam says

I can't let them look down on me . I have to jump. I have to do this for Alan . Wait what fuck is that? I should do that for myself not for Alan . I close my eyes and jump.

I am picking up the speed and wind is blowing. Very soon, I hit on a big net. I sigh with relief .

"That can be considered as first." A familiar voice appears

A big hand helps me down . It is max . Max is smiling at me.

I think for a while . I know that I can pick a new name

"Delia ." I answer

"First jumper Delia." Max announces." Welcome to dauntless ."

I stand on the ground and max welcomes the next one . Abby is the second one . Max looks at her for a long time . Did he changes the direction? He isn't interesting in me .

Until everyone are down, Amar comes toward us

"So dauntless born follow Laurence and transfers stay with me." Amar folds his arms." Go ."

Dauntless born follow a long hair girl . They disappear very quickly at the end of the tunnel.

"Who is Laurence ?" I ask

"She is dauntless born instructor and she works in the control room." Amar answers .

Amar beckons us to follow him. He leads us in the compound

"We will have a tour after dinner and before dinner we will do something special." Amar waves at us ." Just follow me ."

I turn around and see an abnegation boy is also following us . We have two transfers? Who is he ? He looks familiar but I don't know who he is .

Amar leads us to a glass building. He opens the door and I find out everyone so familiar .

It is exactly like the aptitude test room. We are lining up.

"What are we doing today?" Elizabeth asks

"In order to understand you better , we are going to see your fear landscape before training start." Amar says

"How?" I finally open my mouth

Amar looks at me for a long time . He then starts to introduce

"Let me to introduce myself first . My name is Amar . I will be your instructor for the rest of the training."
