After Amar introduces himself , he starts to explain what we will do with our fear simulation. He takes out a syringe which has orange liquid inside it.
"It is what we will insert you with. It contains transmitters which will send your fear simulation inside the computer and we will see from there ." Amar walks back and forth." So who wants to come first."
"Maybe according to who jump first." Alan says
That will be me , I sigh . Amar beckons to me and I follow him into a room. The room contains a recline chair and a computer . Amar takes the syringe from the box and waves at me
"Come here , it will make my job easier ." Amar says
I go near him and I brush my hair to a side and then Amar injects me with the syringe . I wince because it is so painful.
"You know what you need to do . Either clam down or directly face your fear." Amar helps me to sit on the chair
I pass out very quickly. When I wake up, everything disappeared only I am still on the chair . I am now so anxious because I don't know what will come to me
The door opens and a man comes in . He was my guard before and his name is Ted . Ted walks closer to me
"I miss you Delia. I really miss you" ted comes near me and he leans into me to kiss me
I flinch because I don't want anyone to see this . Especially Alan, I don't want him to misunderstand our relationship. Then I hear a gun shot and he falls on the ground .
I see three men standing in front of me and have guns in their hand .
"No ! Why did you guys do that? Why!" I scream
I get off the chair and kneel down beside Ted . He can't die . I still need him. Yes I don't love him but I also care about him.
"No ted , wake up." I am shaking him
He doesn't wake up . I rest my head on his chest. He is still breathing but still don't wake up. I know that it isn't real. I start to calm down and soon it disappears . I am above the chasm
Men are still there in front of me . I hate them .
"We killed him." They smirk
"What did you guys say?" I ask
"We killed him." They repeat
I throw myself at them. I punch one of them in their gut and kick one of their face . The third man tries to run away and I shoot him dead . I wake up screaming.
"Ted !" I scream his name
Alan stares at me . Did he saw what happens to me ? He holds me up.
"I promise that you will not experience this at least for a long time ." Alan sighs with disappointment." Who is ted."
"He was my body guard . You don't know him?" I blink my eyes at him
"Of course I know but I wander what was your relationship with him so I asked ." Alan says
I wrap my arm around his neck . He brings me out of the room and into a small room so he can watch other initiates go through their simulation .
"What happens in your simulation!" Alan looks at me
"Ted kisses me and three men wearing masks come in and killed him . My second one was to kill those men." I lower my head." Am I a horrible person Alan?"
"No of course not. That means you cared about Ted . You are very kind ." Alan clinches his teeth
I don't know why is he angry but doesn't tell me ?
The abnegation boy comes in and he sits down on the chair . Amar injects him with the needle . I am also watching the simulation. Until Marcus Eaton comes into the simulation, I know who he is
"Tobias Eaton?" I call his name
Marcus Eaton has a belt in his hand and he walks toward Tobias Eaton and starts to hit him hard . Tobias curl into his cupboard for protection
"Erudite is right. Marcus is abusive but no one believe them because he is the leader of abnegation ." I roll my eyes.
"That's the reason ." Alan smiles
Tobias wakes up from his simulation. Four simulation for a man is unbelievable . He is the last one though . Alan stands up and I follow him into the room.
"Unbelievable, four fears . You broke the record for man . I only had three fears but it was many years ago . So we should call you four ." Alan giggles
"Sure , I guess that will be my new name four then ." Four nods at alan.
Everyone finish the simulation and Amar leads us back to our dorm. When he reaches a big door , he pushes the door opens . It totally consists of ten beds.
"Before you become members, you guys will stay here all the time ." Amar points at the bed." So you guys will share a room."
"God why? Why are we sharing the room!" Elizabeth screams
"It is the rule ." Amar smirks ." Or you can leave dauntless."
We are all quiet. We enter the dorm and Amar closes the door behind us .
"That's insane ." Jessica cries.
"Don't cry , it will be over soon." Edward wraps his arm around her
"Is she your girlfriend ?"'i ask
Edward nods at me . Jessica kisses Edward
"You can't see it!" Jessica lifts her chin
"Are you Delia?" A girl sits down beside my bed
"Yes I am ." I smile
The girl starts to change . She is also from Candor
"I am Sasha Davis . I am Alan Davis's sister ." Sasha takes out her hand
I shake her hand . She is so cute . She has dimple cheeks and she also has brownish eyes
"We can be best friends." Sasha giggles
"She is my best friends." Abby wraps her arms around my arms
"We all can be best friends . Don't fight please Abby." I shake my head at her
Sasha rolls her eyes at Abby. Very soon, I change into dauntless outfit.
"I am so hungry." Jackson moans
The door opens and Amar leads us to the cafeteria . First we burn our old clothes to say good bye to our old factions. I throw my robe into the fire and I feel sad . I have to say good bye to abnegation to fully become dauntless . There is only two tables available and we sit down . I find out that I am sitting between Amar and Abby's
I look at the food. One plate of bread, one plate of meat and one plate of red sauce . I don't know what to make out of it.
"Put the meat and sauces between the bread . It is hamburger ." Amar explains
"You have never eat a hamburger before !" Sasha asks
"No I haven't ." I shake my head
Sasha makes me a hamburger . She is so nice
"What do you eat in abnegation?" She looks at me curiously.
"Stiff eats plain food." Amar smirks
"No wander why you left." Elisa laughs
I don't want to say anything bad about abnegation yet.
"yeah it is always because of food ."
Suddenly we hear members hit their cup on the table . We hear footstep from above us and I shiver .
"Initiates , stand up."
It is max . We all stand up and look at him. Alan and Sam are beside him as well.
"You have chosen a warrior faction, your duty is to protection the city and its citizen. We believe in the ordinary act of bravery . In the courage of standing up for those people who can't even stand up for themselves .respect that and do us the proud ." Max finishes his speech and leaves
Members erupt into cheering and shouting. I sneak out of the room. I don't want to stay there anymore plus I am full.
I walk beside the chasm . A woman walks toward me
"Hey delia." The woman waves at me
"Who are you?" I ask her
"I am Tamra . Max's ex girlfriend?" Tamra smiles
Tamra ? I never hear this name before but she is pretty.
"Hello Tamra . Nice to meet you." I say
"Nice to meet you too. Why are here alone ." Tamra walks with me
"I am bored ." I bite my lips
I don't know what to say . Please someone comes and helps me out.
"Tamra ." Alan is here ." Leaves her alone please ."
"Fine Alan , I know that she likes you." Tamra shrugs
She leaves and only I and Alan are here .
"Hey Alan." I am shy.
"Are you okay? You are all red ." Alan brushes my hair
"I am fine . I am just hot." I tilt my head
Alan leans into me . His breaths is closer to my ear
"Are you sure . Are you sure that is not because I am here?" Alan giggles
"Alan I am not joking with you." I say
"Fine , why aren't you eating?" Alan sighs
I don't know why am I not eating. I just don't like crowded people
"I don't want to stay with so many people in a room." I say
"You can come to my room and I can make you something." Alan points upstair
"No thank you. I am not hungry ." I rub my eyes." I am sleepy."
Alan walks me back to the dorm. Sasha is already back
"Where did you go Delia? Brother , why did you bring her away?"Sasha folds her arms
"I didn't take her away. I met her above the chasm ." Alan rolls his eyes." You can go sleep now . Good night Delia ."
"Good night Alan ." I say
Alan leaves and I look at him for a long time . Sasha drags me into the room
"You like my brother or not?" Sasha leans against the door
"I …..don't know ." I shake my head
"Well you have to tell me the truth." Sasha grabs my shoulder
I nod at her . Maybe she can help me . I have to trust her
"I know that Delia . My brother also likes you . However during the training, it is so dangerous ."
