Chapter 1- The Sins of the Ancestor

In the middle of the night, a robed figure entered a building that appeared to be abandoned for a long time. The inside was decorated with strange ancient (most likely Chinese) symbols, more robed people and candles to served as several light sources.

"Perfect." The robed figure said as he removed the hood and took off his robe, revealing the figure was a muscular man of Asian descent with black hair slicked back. He was wearing a vest which exposed his chest and yellow pants with a snake pattern and a pair of boots.

One of the people revealed two skeletons, both in rough conditions. One had it's bone crushed and the other was burned badly that was blacken and one touch could turn it into ash.

These two are his champions. His champions who died.

Flashback:

High Top Five Elements Mountain, Ancient China:

The battle was getting really bad as two brothers fought the army of Jade Warlord along with a monk who joined the two brothers.

During the fighting, back up has arrived as Thomas grabbed the Ruyi Jingu Bang as he ran to the Monkey King who was petrified by Jade Warlord.

Gripping the pole like weapon, Thomas ran towards the fountain as the monk fought Jade Warlord with such quickness and ferocity that it's almost like...

The Monk was able to hold the warlord back as he ran to help Thomas when a chi formed blade suddenly impaled the Monk in the back, missing Thomas Parker as the Monk used his body to shield Thomas from the weapon. Jumping in the air with a yell, he slammed the cudgel into the frozen form of Wukong which caused a golden light to flash brightly as Thomas was thrown back as the Jade Warlord was blown away by something.

Thomas looked up to see the now freed Monkey King as the golden rod was spinning in the air as Wukong grabbed it, ending the spinning. The Monk who was bleeding and dying was able to take one look before the monk suddenly faded away in a golden hue.

The Monkey King had a look of vengeance at the Jade Warlord before he spoke, "My turn!"

Sun Wukong jumped in the air, spinning the staff like weapon, creating a gust of air which was able to land a hit on Jade Warlord.

Thomas got up from the ground and grabbed a weapon nearby as his brother charged at Jade Warlord and landed a clean cut on the warlord's face who reacted by using his chi to push the younger man away, causing him to hit the wall hard but it didn't kill him immediately as Thomas ran to his brother.

"You okay, Adam?" Thomas asked as Adam tried to get up as Thomas looked at the Warlord who is approaching the two when the Monkey King popped out of nowhere, using his rod to fight his foe again. Thomas, with his weapon in his hand, charged at Jade Warlord when he was stabbed in the abdomen by Jade Warlord.

"Any last words?" Jade Warlord asked when he was suddenly stabbed in the throat by Thomas who was able to use his strength to use the blade to stab the Jade Warlord as a green mist escape the Jade Warlord who was beginning to resemble a corpse as he fell in the fire pit while Thomas fell backwards as Adam catch his brother who was dying.

"THOMAS!!!" Adam called out as he held his dying brother who muttered out, "The Monkey King..."

Then Wukong appeared in front of Thomas, there was a look of empathy for the dying man.

"I promise that I will help your descendant, Young Traveler." Monkey King spoke, keeping the best to hide his grief. The whole immortality thing started because of the midlife crisis the Monkey King had seen.

"Thank you." Thomas said as he closed his eyes and went limp, dying from the injury inflicted by Jade Warlord.

Adam didn't have any time for mourning when a green portal appeared as Shang Tsung appeared, not pleased to see that his champion was dead.

Then he grabbed Adam by the neck as the sorcerer was about to say, "Your brother may defeat my champion with the cost of his life but your soul is-" when the sorcerer was punched in the chest by Sun Wukong who now had glowing red eyes and the veins on his face were now a crimson color.

"LEAVE." Sun Wukong spoke, all mischievous that he was known for was gone, replaced by a calm rage which make any warrior quiver in fear.

Shang Tsung look at Sun Wukong, the former was in pain with a broken ribcage from the devastating blow from Wukong's fist as Adam coughed, rubbing his throat. Finally, Shang Tsung vanished right as Raiden appeared.

Flashback End:

"Should we began Shang Tsung?" One of the robed person asked and Shang Tsung replied, "Yes." as the Chinese sorcerer lifted his hands which started to glow a green color as the energy surrounds the two skeletons.

Then the screeching began as the skeletons reforming themselves as veins, muscle and tissue formed followed by human skin when the screaming finally ended with almost every candle being blown out.

Instead of two skeletons that were once on the ground, there was two people, a man and a woman who are both nude, the female had long white hair while the male had some facial hair which resembled a circle beard and dark hair which grew past his shoulders and dark green eyes as the man turned around to see his resurrector who had a pleased look on his face.

Then the resurrected warlord charged at Shang Tsung, tackling the sorcerer to the ground, wrapping his battle harndened hands around Shang's neck as he growled, "Serenity..."

Shang Tsung was surprised by the sudden behavior change of Jade Warlord and how he was able to catch the sorcerer off guard.

Whoever this Serenity person is caught Shang Tsung's attention. "Was she someone special to you?" The warlock asked the former general who let go of Shang's throat. The sorcerer did felt his neck, noticed that the attack had formed a bruise.

"Yes." Jade Warlord spoke, his voice trying to find the grief for losing a lover but had a sinister idea.

"Bring her back." The warlord spoke which was surprised everyone. One person asked, "Are you talking about-" The said person was cut short when Jade Warlord was close to their face as he whispered, "The one who took Serenity."

"Okay then..." The person spoke as they lifted their hands as a flash of light shone brightly then dimmed away as a woman with long wavy red hair and red eyes.

Gasping for air for a bit, she looked around before a giggle left her lips before becoming full on cackling as she yelled, "Finally!!! Do the sailor scouts really think I'm dead? Well, my time of revenge has come and I will make Sailor Moon-"

However, her speech of enacting her vengeance on the Sailor Scouts was cut short when Jade Warlord managed to charged like a rhino storming towards a car full of people and managed to punch a hole into Queen Beryl's chest and held her heart, squeezing it hard (but not close to crushing) like someone squeezing a squishy toy.

Everyone aside from Shang Tsung were in shocked as Queen Beryl was unable to say anything as blood escapes her throat with a garbled cough before turning her head to look at Jade Warlord who managed to petrified her heart that was still in her chest.

"If I remember this correctly." Jade Warlord spoke softly but the malice was clear as day.

"This heart belongs to the one who caused my Serenity's death.

"Your Serenity is resurrected as-" Beryl's words were cut short as Jade Warlord ripped her heart out like a plucking a tomato from the vine.

Beryl immediately collapsed but the former general of Jade Emperor's Army was not done as he looked at the heart and got a good idea. He did hear that Serenity was resurrected though he didn't got the name of the person that was the reincarnation of Serenity.

Using his own chi, numerous black tendrils that resemble branches and vines wrapped the heart similar to wrapping up a present before noticing a small bowl that contains a red liquid yet he can smell a metallic scent.

"Is that blood?" Jade Warlord asked and Shang Tsung answered, "Yes."

Then the sorcerer watched Jade Warlord carefully rip one of the vines from the heart, place on the ground and carefully dribbled the blood from the bowl on the plant then he took one of the daggers as he slashed the palm of his hand, letting the blood to flow out of the wound which made contact with the bloodied plant.

Suddenly, the plant was suddenly to change into a plant like monster with a flower that resembles a Black Dahlia. It screeched like a barn owl before it formed into a teenage girl with chestnut brown hair that stopped at her shoulders. When she opened her eyes, there is some specks of green in her dark brown eyes.

"Why did you resurrected me and Ni Chang?" Jade Warlord asked as he noticed that one cloaked figure gave him and Ni Chang their perspective clothes (The armor for Jade Warlord and the dress for Ni Chang) and Shang Tsung answered with a straight face, "To kill Quentin Beck."

Jade Warlord was curious when a rugged man with an Australian accent gave the dressed general a picture of a man with brown hair and facial hair.

"After I killed him." Jade Warlord spoke to Shang Tsung, "You will help me find Serenity's reincarnation."

"As absurd your request is." Shang Tsung said, "I shall grant it."

Oh boy, we got something interesting. The next has Quentin Beck dying.
