( Everyone is in Cannon outfits unless I say otherwise.) Naruto Uzumaki was sitting in the Hokage's office looking out the window with a smile watching as the sun set. As Naruto watched he couldn't help but think ' Beautiful.' After a few more seconds of watching Naruto sighed annoyed as he looked around the empty office like the tenth time. Naruto, besides being annoyed he was confused as to why he was in the office when he really wanted to celebrate becoming a ninja which just happened a few hours ago. Naruto looked around one last time when he heard the office door open. Naruto looked at the door to see Hiruzen Sarutobi otherwise known as the Third Hokage walk in. Naruto stood up as he watched Hiruzen walk to his desk and after seeing the aged Hokage sit, Naruto said " Jiji can this wait? I want to go celebrate."
Naruto saw Hiruzen smile but shook his head then heard Hiruzen say " We need to have a serious talk." Naruto nodded to hear a sigh from Hiruzen then heard Hiruzen say " Naruto, I know I lied to you…" Naruto chuckled, interrupting Hiruzen then he said " Jiji, you don't need to apologize for hiding it from me. How can someone tell a kid that they hold a demon? Also I have a big mouth." Naruto saw Hiruzen look up in shock then heard Hiruzen say " You're not pist at me?" Naruto nodded then said " Yea, I mean I am pist off that you hid it from me but I see why." Naruto saw Hiruzen nod then saw Hiruzen lean back then heard Hiruzen say " Naruto if you already know this just listen. See when fresh ninja come from the academy they go through ranks and the first is Genin. Do you being fresh out of the academy Genin get Jonin senseis but I can give everyone a personal sensei so Genin are put into teams of four with two other Genin and a Jonin sensei."
Naruto just nodded but mentally was smiling, hoping to be put on the same team with his crush, Sakura. After seeing the Hokage take a poof from his smoking pipe he heard Hiruzen say " Naruto I've already filled the teams." Naruto's eyes went wide with his hands going into fists to hear Hiruzen say " Which is actually a good thing." Naruto was now confused and said " What?" Naruto saw Hiruzen nod then heard Hiruzen say " Naruto, there are many ranks which are Genin, Chunin, Jonin, Anbu, Special Anbu, Anbu Captain and Hokage." Naruto nodded to hear Hiruzen say " I'll admit it Naruto, you are one of the weakest graduates I have known." Naruto looked down in tears when he heard footsteps then a hand on his shoulder. Naruto looked up at Hiruzen to hear Hiruzen say " You need to be taught and not by a sensei that most likely hates you and has to other students." Naruto nodded when he saw Hiruzen back up then heard Hiruzen say " Do to the Kyuubi I'm making you Special Anbu with one of my Anbu agents being your sensei." Naruto's eyes went wide in fear and this was due to Naruto knowing that Anbu agents hate him but wouldn't defy the Hokage's word." Naruto shook his head and said " Jiji, no."
Naruto saw Hiruzen just smile then heard Hiruzen say " Naruto , I know what my Anbu thinks of you which is why I'm not an idiot." After a few seconds of just staring at a smiling Hiruzen, Naruto's eyes went wide and said " Yugao is going to teach me?" Naruto saw Hiruzen shrug then heard Hiruzen say with a goofy grin, " I could be talking about Dog." Naruto just grew pist and said with venom " Not funny." Naruto saw Hiruzen nod sitting down then heard Hiruzen say " Yes, Yugao is going to be teaching you." Naruto nodded when he saw Hiruzen lean forward setting his elbows on the desk then heard Hiruzen say " Naruto don't think since you're Special Anbu that you'll be treated like one. I'm doing this so you have a sensei that you trust. You'll be treated like a Genin." Naruto nodded understanding then he said " Jiji, I have something on my mind I want to talk to you about." Naruto saw Hiruzen nod so he said " It's about the Kyuubi and I…" Naruto let out a heavy breath then said " After I found out I figured that you wanted to be trained to use its power but…"
Naruto heard Hiruzen let out a poof of smoke then heard Hiruzen say " You don't want to use its power?" Naruto nodded quickly then said " Yea, I mean I understand…" Naruto stopped talking seeing Hiruzen put his hand up then heard Hiruzen say " I understand." Naruto nodded and said " But that's not all." Naruto waited a few seconds of silence then he said " I want to talk to the Kyuubi and make a deal." Naruto saw Hiruzen stand up then heard Hiruzen say sternly " No." Naruto sighed to see Hiruzen shake his head so he said " Hear me out?" Naruto saw Hiruzen look at him and after a few seconds of silence he said " If I was a powerful demon sealed into a human I would expect them to demand my power." Naruto saw Hiruzen nod so he said " I don't want to do that but his power could come in handy. My deal is I don't demand or forcefully take his power as long as he agrees to willingly let me use his power if I have no other choice." Naruto saw Hiruzen taken aback by this then saw Hiruzen nod." Naruto smiled then heard Hiruzen say " Go Celebrate." Naruto nodded and said " So let's go." Naruto saw Hiruzen confused so he said " Come on Jiji I want to celebrate with you also." Naruto saw Hiruzen smile so he turned and left with Hiruzen behind him.
* One Week Later *
Naruto groaned as he slowly opened his eyes as he heard a knocking noise coming from his front door. After a few seconds Naruto rubbed his eyes then yelled annoyed " Give me a fucking minute." Naruto stood up and after slipping on some sweatpants he walked to his door. After undoing the normal lock and the extra three locks he opened the door to see Yugao. Naruto just looked at Yugao to hear Yugao say " Get dressed, we need to get going." Naruto looked behind him at a clock and said " It's four-thirty in the morning." Naruto looked back at Yugao seeing her shrug so he sighed then said " Give me a minute." Naruto closed his door and quickly got into his jump suit then walked out. After locking his door Naruto looked at Yugao seeing her hold a long thin case." Naruto just looked up to hear Yugao say " I'll tell you later but before any training we need to get you into real clothes." Naruto just nodded still half asleep but after a few seconds said " Wait, I don't have the kind of money."
Naruto saw Yugao nod then heard Yugao say " Hokage-sama gave me more than enough for a new outfit and gear." Naruto nodded then saw Yugao walk off so he followed. After getting to the ground from the second floor of Naruto's apartment building, they started walking. After about five minutes of silence he said " Yugao we need to talk." Naruto saw Yugao look at him then saw her look forward as he heard Yugao say " I already know about the Kyuubi, the deal and I also know." Naruto looked at Yugao in shock to hear Yugao say " Only a few were originally meant to know but it was leaked that you held the Kyuubi so the third made a law to not tell your generation." Naruto nodded, shocked by this but he quickly shaked his head and then said " Where are we going?" Naruto saw Yugao look at him for a second then after seeing Yugao look forward heard her say " You're special Anbu, there are only four others like you, the Three Legendary Sannin and Sakumo Hatake." Naruto nodded to hear Yugao say " As you know Anbu agents wear a mask to hide their faces and the only other Special Anbu didn't but I've talked with Hokage-sama and we want you to wear a mask."
Naruto was confused and after a few minutes of silence, he said " Why? I don't get it." Naruto looked at Yugao to hear Yugao say " Well, I have multiple reasons." Naruto nodded to hear Yugao say " Naruto, you've been running from me since you were six, you've pulled pranks on the Hokage in an orange jumpsuit." Naruto was confused and after seeing Yugao take a quick look at him he heard Yugao say " Naruto you snuck past Anbu in an orange jumpsuit. You have impeccable stealth, I'm going to train you in everything there is for stealth from Assassinations to setting traps." Naruto nodded to hear Yugao say " I'll train you to also fight without stealth cause you could be found. If you are found, the mask will hide your identity so you don't become a target."
Naruto nodded as they turned a corner when he heard Yugao say " Also you'll be doing missions with other Genin, most likely from the same age group. You'll do C-rank missions and it's rare but they can go wrong and if someone thinks you're Anbu they'll think twice before doing something." Naruto nodded understandingly, so he said " Where are we going?"
Naruto heard Yugao chuckle then heard Yugao say " You got a lot of questions." Naruto sighed then said " Sorry." Naruto heard Yugao chuckle again then heard Yugao say " It's ok Naruto, we are going to a shop that sells some of the best weapons and make Anbu masks." Naruto looked up and nodded nervously to hear Yugao say " Those kunai I got you are from this place." Naruto nodded still nervous so he stayed silent. After ten more minutes of walking he stopped with Yugao. Naruto looked up at the big building so he looked at the sign and read: Shinobi Guard. Naruto continue looking at the sign when he heard Yugao say " Let's go." Naruto looked at Yugao and nodded as he held his nervousness in.
As Naruto followed Yugao he jumped hearing a bell ring when the door opened. Naruto just let out a breath and entered with Yugao. Naruto looked around at the ninja clothes and weapons in shock. After a few seconds of silence he heard Yugao say " Go start looking for an outfit, I'll join you in a second." Naruto nodded while walking to the clothes section. After a few minutes of looking, I found nothing. Naruto continued looking when his eye caught something. Naruto reached and pulled out a black cloak with a hood and a huge, orange Konoha symbol on the back. Naruto smiled at the cloak to jump, hearing a male voice say " I assume, you're Naruto." Naruto turned around to a man with brown hair. Naruto saw the man wait for an answer but fear just entered Naruto." Naruto stayed silent for a few seconds when he saw the man's eyes go wide then heard the man say " You ok?" Naruto nodded nervously then said " Yea, I'm Naruto."
Naruto saw the man nod then heard the man say " If you're planning on stealth I have some clothes in the back that will go well with that." Naruto nodded then saw the man smile and walk away. After seeing the man go behind the counter he let out a breath to hear Yugao say " You good." Naruto nodded once again then heard Yugao say " Well, while he's getting that let's look at weapons." Naruto nodded to hear Yugao say " See, I want you to have a weapon for fighting like a sword which I've already dealt with but you should also have a long range." Naruto nodded and then heard Yugao say " I recommend a bow." Naruto nodded, then followed Yugao to a huge glass case filled with bows. Naruto looked through them, seeing many different types of bows. After a few seconds of looking Naruto's eye caught a bow that was a light wood color with bandages where he holds it and the bow is bent in a C-shape.
Naruto pointed at it when he heard the man from earlier say " I wouldn't recommend that one if you're shooting from long range." Naruto looked up to see the man walk behind the other side then heard him say " This bow has decent range but not huge. It's meant for combat." Naruto was confused to hear the man say " This bow is really light and it doesn't have the strength to shoot far like a recurve or a compound bow but you could rapidly fire a few arrows from a long range in combat." Naruto nodded confused and it showed on his face which then Naruto heard Yugao say " It's good to keep a distance in combat but bad for silent long range kills." Naruto nodded understanding then looked at the man and after a few seconds of hesitating Naruto trusted his gut and said " What do you recommend for long range stealth kills." Naruto saw the man smile and nod then heard him say " Compound bows have the best range but I recommend Recurve. It has good range and you can load a lot faster." Naruto nodded and after a few seconds of thinking said " Can I get a recurve and the first bow I looked at." Naruto saw the man nod and then heard him say " It's called a light bow." Naruto nodded and as he saw, waited for the man to get the bows he found and got a quiver. After finding his quiver, Naruto saw what was in the case Yugao was carrying which was a sword for him that was a straight double edge with no guard, rope for the handle and a loop at the end. After choosing a sheath for that sword he took the clothes, the quiver, sheath and the two holders for his bows in a changing room.
* Fifteen Minutes Later *
Naruto was standing in the changing room looking at a full body mirror. Naruto just looked at the mirror seeing himself wearing black ninja sandals with black samurai style pants. Naruto also saw himself wearing a long sleeve shirt that was mostly black beside his left arm sleeve that was orange under a black thin vest that is zipped up. Naruto also saw the same cloak from earlier on his back. Naruto also saw his quiver that hung from his back waist to his thighs. Naruto saw the quiver was black with orange stitching which he also knew was the same as his sword sheath. Naruto smiled as he looked at his chest seeing a black strap with orange stitching that held his sword sheath and another strap that was also black with orange stitching. Naruto knew this strap was a single strap but split into two which led to metal hooks with the hooks next to each other one slightly below the other. ( These hooks are the thing that Atreus from God of War uses to hold his bow.)
