Chapter 1: Healing
Noah Puckerman sits on Kurt Anderson's bed naked, with Kurt on his lap. Noah volunteered to care for Kurt after his husband, Blaine, and their daughter, Tracy, died of COVID-19. Kurt grabs his phone and notices Noah's post, "I'm gay and in love with Kurt Anderson." On his page.
His father, Burt Hummel, is the first to comment, "Puck, you just told me about what happened last night. Are you sure about this?"
Santana Lopez replies to Burt's comment, saying, "Mr. H, Puck is impulsive. I do wonder what Kurt feels about this, though."
Kurt replies to Santana's comment, "It's been two months, Santana. Although I love Puck, I still love Blaine. Dad still loves my mom, and Rachel still loves Finn. Now, give Puck a break and tell Quinn that Puck ran to me and I didn't steal him from her. After all the drama she has caused, I'm glad Puck is with me. She deserves to be alone! She has harassed me about Puck moving in since Blaine's funeral! I didn't ask him to. He volunteered to!"
Noah replies, "Burt Hummel, do you want to say it? Or should I? Kurt, Quinn will get over it. If she doesn't, Rachel will be our surrogate when the time comes. Santana, you are my best friend, but Rachel is Kurt's best friend. Now, don't make me regret posting this."
After Kurt gets dressed, Quinn stops by and breaks down. Kurt holds her as she says, "I'm sorry, Kurt. Puck broke up with me because I was jealous of your friendship. He didn't quit the Navy. He was dishonorably discharged because he knew your dad. He told Mick before he got a job at the shop, "
Quinn looks at Kurt and says, "I broke up with Cooper. I was dating him, thinking it would get Puck to return to me."
She chuckles and says, "Do you want to deal with Puck grilling our future daughter's dates, Kurt?"
Kurt glares at her, then says, "Would you want him to do that to Beth's dates if you got to keep her? Quinn, we both know it wouldn't matter who he was with. He would be like that, no matter what. Do you know how long Sarah has called me complaining about him being like my dad?"
They burst out laughing. Then Quinn says, "You better be thankful I didn't figure out why you got your parents together until after Finn died. Puck never does anything halfway, and I bet he will do whatever it takes to help you get over Blaine. Well, I've got to go. I have to help the Cheerios, get ready for Regionals. You thought dealing with Sue was a pain. But now that I am over the Cheerios, I get why Sue was so hard on us."
After Quinn leaves, Kurt gets a text from Noah, saying, "How is my prince doing?"
Kurt replies, "I'm fine; I made up with Quinn, and I might stop by the shop for lunch later. Any requests?"
Noah replies, "A Philly Cheesesteak from Subway and coffee, black. God, babe, I didn't want to tell you this, but since I announced I was gay on Facebook, I have gotten prank calls from an ex-friend of mine and Karofsky. Well, I've got to go. I love you, Kurt."
When Kurt arrives at the shop, Noah is outside yelling at Azimio Adams, "Z, man, you don't know shit! Living with Kurt didn't confuse me! Nor did being in the Navy! I wasn't brainwashed into being gay, Z! It was my choice, and I didn't take this decision lightly! I spent the past year coming to grips with my feelings after cheating on Quinn with a transgender chick that still had a dick!"
He looks at Kurt and continues, "I get why Karofsky was afraid to tell everyone he was gay now! He couldn't handle how people would react! Hell, Z, he almost killed himself back in high school!" Azimio tries to hit Noah, but he is body slammed before he can.
As Azimio leaves, Kurt exits his car and follows Noah to Mick's office. As Noah closes the door, he says, "I lied to Z. I never sucked anyone but you. I'm sure you heard me saying I wasn't gay when you woke up after we slept naked together."
He sighs and continues, "That first night at your house. I was watching you sleep before I lay down beside you. Mick enters the office and says, "I streamed the first time Puck yelled at Z on Facebook, and Burt saw it. He texted me after the stream, calling Puck Mr. P. He bet me fifty bucks Puck will be worse than he was if Quinn gives you a daughter."
Kurt chuckles and says, "I bet you another fifty dollars. Quinn will back out if Dad reposts the video on his page. Dad made Carole and Quinn mad after he made the picture of Puck's guns his background picture on April Fool's Day last year. I was mad too, but now that I'm with Puck. I am glad Dad did that. I bet Puck is Dad's dream son-in-law."
Mick chuckles and asks, "How much?"
Kurt watches Noah work on a truck and says, "Twenty dollars."
Mick bumps Kurt and asks, "Did Puck tell you about disabling your car in high school?"
Kurt shakes his head no before saying, "I knew it was him after we became friends. Is it true that you got Dad into playing paintball wars?"
Mick chuckles and says, "He thought about asking Puck, but he knew I would go easy on him. Burt is great at it. I asked Puck to join us this weekend, and I hope you'll be there too. I want to see them fighting each other and not me. Burt scares me. He is so good at paintball." What Mick and Kurt didn't know is that Burt and Noah made plans for a paintball war of epic proportions.
Chapter 2 should be up soon. I have put a lot of stories on hold until I can figure out how to finish them. I wish AO3 had an app that would read my stories like FF does, but it doesn't. There is an app I can use to read my stories on AO3 with but it doesn't read my stories to me.
