"Can't we come up with something just a little more classic?"
As Jake came upstairs, Edward approached him.
"Thank you.'
"They make it out alright?"
"Yeah."
"Good."
Jake brushed pass him.
He approached me in the Living Room.
Alice and Rosalie helped me to my feet.
"Hey. Are you okay?"
"Yeah. It's not like I am the one carrying a Demon."
I rolled my eyes.
"This is pretty important, Bella. Why don't you tell Jacob what you've decided?"
"What now?"
"Rose is trying to talk Bella out of her baby names."
"She hates them."
"Well, then I am on your side no matter what you picked."
"They're not that bad. If it's a boy, EJ. Edward Jacob."
Edward and Jake smiled.
"Okay, fine, that one's not awful. Why don't you tell him the girl's name?"
"I was playing around with our Moms' names. Renee and Esme. And I was thinking... Renesmee."
A smile flickered on Edward's face.
Jake lifted his brow.
"Renesmee."
"Too weird?"
"Um..."
"No, that's not too weird. It's beautiful. And it's unique, which certainly fits the situation."
I brightened.
"I like Renesmee."
Rosalie picked up the cup of blood.
She handed it to me.
"He likes it."
Rose rolled her eyes.
Reaching for the cup, I accidentally knocked it from my hand.
My torso wretched unnaturally.
The cup hit the floor, spilling its blood..
Clutching my abdomen, I dropped to my knees.
Edward
As the others stood slack-jawed I rushed to her side and supported her head.
Jacob stood over her.
"Rosalie, pass the morphine." I ordered.
Rosalie grabbed a syringe.
"Carlisle said the placenta must have detached."
I injected Bella in the thigh with morphine.
"He's coming as fast as he can, but..."
Sam
Carlisle was in front of me.
"Listen to me, Sam. Just listen."
I paused.
"Bella is in labor."
I looked down.
"I have to get back to her. Or she's gonna die."
"We don't have time for this, Carlisle! She's losing a lot of blood!" It was Edward.
"Then cut her open yourself."
He growled.
"Do you really want Billy's best friend's daughter's blood on your hands, Sam?"
I moved aside.
Carlisle, Esme, and Emmett ran pass.
I mind-linked the Pack to let them through.
Edward
I had kicked Rosalie out of the room.
Carlisle ran in.
Esme was behind him.
Carlisle grabbed the scalpel.
She put the IV in her arm.
Bags of the blood were going into Bella.
He cut her stomach open.
Carlisle
I bit through the amniotic sac with my teeth.
I pulled the baby out of her uterus.
Edward
"It's a healthy baby girl!"
"It's Renesmee."
"Renesmee."
I grabbed the syringe with my venom in it.
I injected it into Bella's chest.
"My baby."
Carlisle handed Renesmee to her.
Bella was holding her in her arms.
Esme took a picture of her with Renesmee.
I took her from Bella.
Rosalie walked into the room.
I handed Renesmee to her.
Rosalie
Sitting by a fireplace, I gently rocked the baby.
I caressed the Newborn with my fingers.
"Hi, hi."
I kissed Renesmee's forehead.
Jake
I entered the den to see Rosalie with Renesmee.
I stepped deeper into the room.
My face was cast in shadow.
She sat near the fire with her back to me, unaware of my presence.
Rosalie held the baby wrapped in a white blanket.
I moved closer.
The Newborn shifted her innocent gaze and locked eyes with me.
In a flash, I saw glimpses of a forest and Renesmee as a young woman.
I dropped to my knees and sat back.
