Edward and me darted through the forest at super speed.
I marveled at the little details of the forest like the seapot of a dandelion.
My hair blew in the air as I whizzed past.
We raced each other playfully.
I jumped over a waterfall.
Edward whooped.
As I zoomed across the ground, he grabbed me by the wait.
"Close your eyes."
I closed my eyes.
Edward turned me around.
"What do you hear?"
I heard an owl hooting.
I heard squeaking from a squirrel.
"Hm."
I heard snorting.
My peaceful demeanor changed to ravish to see a deer stepping out lightly on the mulch of the woods.
He continued snorting.
I stalked the deer, creeping up like a cat from over a rocky outcrop.
Edward crouched beside me.
He smiled and nodded at me.
The wind blew.
It carried a human's scent.
I gasped.
He grunted as he cut his knee on a rock.
"Bella, don't!"
The scent drove me to abandon the deer and hunt the rock climber.
I charged onto the cliff.
I gauged my hands into the rock and clambered up the Mountain side.
Edward pursued me to a rocky ledge.
"Bella, stop!"
I stopped.
"I'm sorry. I didn't realize there'd be people this far from the trails."
I grunted as I struggled with my bloodlust.
"I have to get outta here." I said roughly.
"Okay. I can help you."
I grunted, jumping off the rock ledge.
"Or not."
I noticed a Mountain Lion that was about to ambush an unsuspecting deer.
A ferocious smile on my face, I tackled beelining Mountain Lion.
We were both growling.
I sank my teeth into the Lion's throat as the deer escaped.
Edward chuckled.
"Well, I'm amazed. You ran away from human blood mid-hunt. Even mature vampires have problems with that."
