The front door closed.

It was Jacob.

We came to a halt outside the house.

Edward sighed.

"You're still here."

"So are you. I didn't expect you to seem so you."

I smiled.

"Except for the creepy eyes."

"I would keep my distance for now."

"It's safer for the baby to see how you do with me first."

"Since when do you care about Renesmee?"

Edward shook his head.

Jacob moved closer.

"Alright. Take a whiff."

I walked up to him and inhaled.

I raised my eyebrows and smiled.

"Well, I can see what everyone's been talking about."

Jake chuckled.

"Jake, you really do stink."

Edward and him chuckled.

"You guys really look great together."

"Want to come meet our daughter?"

Jake headed back inside followed by us.

Everybody turned around as they heard us enter the house.

"Welcome to the family." Esme told me.

"You look amazing, Bella." Alice complimented.

"Someone's been waiting to meet you." Carlisle told me.

"Rose." Edward called.

Rosalie turned around to me.

Renesmee gurgled while being held in her arms.

My expression softened as I looked at Renesmee.

Smiling, Rosalie gently handed Renesmee to me.

She cooed.

Renesmee raised her tiny hand and touched my cheek.

Flashes of Renesmee's memories flood my head.

Staring deep into my eyes, she lowered her hand.

"What was that?"

"She showed you the first memory she has of you."

Esme smiled.

"Showed me? How?"

"How do I hear thoughts? How does Alice see the future? She's gifted."

"I've only been out for two days?"

"Her growth rate is unprecedented."

"Alright. That's enough experimenting for one day."

"Jacob. She's doing great."

"Yeah. Let's not push it though."

I narrowed my eyes.

"What's your problem?"

"Oh. Do tell her, Jacob." Rosalie told him.

"This should be good." Emmett commented.

"Hold on a second." Edward told him.

"Bella."

I handed Renesmee to him.

"Look. It's a Wolf thing."

"What's a Wolf thing?"

Rose moved away from Jake.

"Um... You know we have no control over it. We can't choose who it happens with. And it doesn't mean what you think, Bella. I promise."

"Take Renesmee out of the room." I ordered.

"Oh."

"Edward, don't touch me right now. I don't wanna hurt you."

My eyes glowed red.

"Oh."

I took Jacob by the back of the neck and threw him outside.

"You imprinted on my daughter?!"

"It wasn't my choice."

"She's a baby!"

"It's not like that. You think Edward would let me live if it was?"

"I'm still debating it."

"I've held her once! One time, Jacob! And already you think that you have some moronic Wolfy claim on her? She's mine!"

I punched Jacob.

He grunted and coughed as he went backwards.

Seth and Leah stalked to Jacob's side as he got back up.

"It's fine, Leah." He assured her.

"You're gonna stay away from her."

"You know I can't do that."

I punched him backwards again.

He grunted as he hit into a tree.

Leah growled.

"Stop her, Edward."

"He said it's fine. She's amazing, right?"

Jacob got up off the ground.

"Do you remember how much you wanted to be around me three days ago? That's gone now, right?"

"Long gone."

"Because it was her. From the beginning it was Nessie who wanted me there."

"Nessie? You nicknamed my daughter after the Loch Ness monster?!"

Seth leapt at me.

I effortlessly casted him away.

Seth whimpered.

"Seth, are you okay?"

Carlisle stepped forward.

"Seth, I'm sorry."

He whined, standing up.

"He'll be alright." Jake told me.

He turned to face me while the other two nuzzle each other.

"Bella, you know me better than anyone. All I want is for Ness... Renesmee to be safe. Happy. Look, nothing ever made sense before. You. Me. Any of it. And now, I understand why. This was the reason."

I sighed.
